The next morning, Angel and company were ready to head outside to continue their quest. As they looked out the window, its still a snowy blizzard. "Ugh, its STILL snowing!" Venus whined. "That's odd, its even worse than before." Mai said with worry. "The flame in the fireplace is getting smaller." Doll said while trying to keep the flame lit. "Why are you so concerned? Its not THAT cold?" Venus said to Doll. "You don't understand, my body is more sensitive than yours. I need to stay in warm or else I'll.....let's just say I'll get sick permanently." Doll said while cuddling up in her blanket. "What do you mean 'more sensitive'" Angel asked. "I think nows the time to tell us where you came from." Mai said as she sat next to Doll. Doll looked down. "I'm....I'm not human." Doll said softly. Everyone looked at each other and looked back at Doll. "I'm from a planet called Celeluna. Being on your planet was an accident. I just came here for research but my space pod is now destroyed and I'm stranded here. But out of curiosity, I decided to explore. There are few things here that I have on my planet except different colors, different shapes and different tastes." Doll said while looking at everyone. "Whoa." Everyone said in amazement. "That explains why you have a weird appetite. Slugs, roaches and metal seems to be what the people on your planet eat right?" Mai asked. "Actually....I ate those things cause I was desperate." Doll said in a sheepish tone. "I see..." Mai said as she glanced sideways. "Hello people! We need to get a move on!" Venus reminded everyone. "But how? We don't want Doll collapsing on us again." Thomas said with concern. "Can she do a force field with her powers or something?" Venus began to shout. "I thought Rosie can do that!" Thomas told Venus. "Guys, stop!" Angel got between Thomas and Venus "Don't you push me blondie!" Venus yelled. "Stop calling me blondie! Its getting on my nerves." Angel shouts too. "OH SHUT UP! You're not the leader of this team and you know it!" Venus yelled even louder. "You're right, I'm not, but at least I'm trying to make sure our team has hope." Angel told Venus off. "Why can't ya'll let me be the leader? GAAAAH!!!" Venus screamed so loud, she summoned her fire powers and it burned the wall making a huge hole. Everyone saw a huge hole on the wall. They all peeked through it and they couldn't believe their eyes. Behind the wall was a icy cave. "I think your anger did us another favor Venus. Thank you again." Angel said with a smile. Venus gave Angel a dirty look. Betty's eyes widened as she sees the cave. She climbed into the hole and pointed at that direction, like if she's telling the others to follow her. "D-does that way l-lead us to the top of the mountain?" Jeff asked. "Mhm." Betty nodded. Everyone was nervous at first but got the courage to follow Betty. Doll got close to Venus and hugged her. "What the he...Hey! Get your alien hands off me!" Venus yelled as she removed Doll's hands off her shoulders. "I need to stay warm....please let me embrace you..." Doll said weakly as she hugged Venus again. Venus summoned a small flame from her hand and carried it with her so Doll can stay warm. "There! Now let me go!" Venus shouts as Doll let's go. "Ahh...much better." Doll sighed in relief. As our heroes went deeper into the cave, they hear singing. They continued to walk and the singing started to get louder and louder. They entered path that has a lot of frozen shards and water puddles. As Angel and company were about to head forward, they were being blocked by a huge blob. Betty began to press against it until she heard laughing. Betty jumped in fear, she and everyone looked up and they saw it. The creature from Venus's story. The Ice Troll. The troll let out a snorting laugh. "Ooh la la! *sniff* *sniff* I smell the sweet smell of mortals." The troll said while licking his lips. Everyone was petrified with fear. "Are-are you a-an ice troll?" Jeff stuttered in fear. "I'm not AN Ice Troll, I'm THE Ice Troll!" "I thought you made roasted chicken out of him." Thomas said to Venus. Everyone glared at Venus as she quickly turned her head in embarrassment. "This is probably an animatronic or two actors with one standing on another." Venus said in denial. "Roast chicken sounds good! Believe me I've been aROUND! Get it? A-Round! Ha!" The troll joked. "That dosen't make sense." Angel said. "I scream, you scream, we all scream for ICE cream! Boo-yah!" The troll joked again. "Why is everything you say so random?" Mai asked. "What do you call a person on the web who loves to mess with people online and loves ice? Go on guess." The troll gave the heroes a question. The heroes couldn't think of an answer. "Give up? An ICE TROLL! OH YEAH!!" The troll screamed. "GAAH!! Enough with your stupid puns you slob!" Venus yelled at the Ice Troll. After hearing this, the troll slowly got up from his chair and growled "Slob? Now that's just COLD." "No more puns." Venus growled. The Ice Troll continued "You are HEATing up." "I'm warning you!!" Venus's hair is starting to rise. The troll then said "You may be HOT, but your soul is COLD." "THAT'S IT!" Venus summoned her flame powers. Everyone else pulled out their weapons. This still amuses the troll "Well, the more the merrier, the better the COLDER! OH!" "Shoot me." Venus mumbled.

Prompt #161: "The Ponies Donny Didn't Want to See Make Out" OR "The Idea That Kept Me From Submitting for Prompt 159" by Hurricane's Ghost
“I don’t know. Maybe I’m just destined to fit in with the ponies of this era. Maybe I need to take a decade or two off and just observe them properly.”
Celestia watched as her partner alicorn sat next to her on minute twelve of what promised to be a much longer monologue on what was making it so difficult for her to adjust back into pony society.
“An observational study would likely be very helpful. Of course I’d have to find somepony who doesn’t flee at the sight of me. I swear the Nightmare Moon affair didn’t even last a whole day and everypony in Equestria looks at me like I’m on a hair trigger to launching the moon into the sun and laying low the nation. Maybe I should vacation in the griffin lands for a while. Just long enough for a generation of ponies to die off and the next one come up. That way I can start fresh without everypony cowering at the sight of me. Or maybe I can just do my study in Pony-“
Celestia decided this line of thought had gone on long enough and dived in to interrupt by mashing her mouth to the other pony’s. Luna’s eyes widened in alarm, then relaxed as Celestia pressed the kiss deeper and piled the secrets of an immortal’s experience into it. Luna groaned and responded for a moment before a flash of realization caused her to jerk up and push away from Celestia.
“Relax,” Celestia replied, rolling onto her side in the oversized pile of pillows the two had been lazing in, “The bravest pony in Equestria would rather walk halfway across the surface of the sun than set foot within six feet of this room without my permission. It’s as private as things can get.”
Luna narrowed her eyes at gave Celestia a calculating look. “That’s awfully specific… Is there a reason they feel that way?”
Celestia shrugged, and dug around under one of the pillows before pulling her head back out with a bag of mixed nuts. “I may have sent one of the Bluebloods to walk the whole thing after he felt he could barge in here without asking.”
Luna gave Celestia an unamused look, as the white alicorn struggled with the bag in her hooves.
“What? He’ll get back. Someday. Probably.” Celestia looked up from the bag and thought for a moment. “I’m pretty sure I fireproofed him before sending him…”
Luna was momentarily stuck for how to respond to that before deciding to just return to the original subject before Celestia’s antics drove it from her mind completely. “Be that as it may this is still a castle, and a castle without spies is like a granary without rats. Somepony has to have found a way to observe you in here.”
Celestia giggled, “They’ve certainly tried. Oh, do you want to hear what happened to the last one? I-“
“Celestia. We are supposed to be sisters. I thought we agreed we wouldn’t correct our little ponies about that.”
“We aren’t going to. But what we get up to in the privacy of the scariest room to try and enter in Equestria is our own business.  Besides,” Celestia’s voice wavered and she adopted a worried appearance as she continued, “I couldn’t think of any other way to make you stop talking about leaving.”
Luna’s eye twitched as she tried to convince herself that Celestia was once again effecting hurt in order to make her feel guilty with all the centuries of experience she had accrued. Her will strained as Celestia turned a pair of giant puppy dog eyes on her, and Luna had to grit her teeth resist the urge to fall for what she hoped was just baiting.
“You’re still angry at me aren’t you… That’s why you want to leave so badly isn’t it…” Celestia sagged and looked forlornly at her forgotten bag of nuts.
“I...” Luna growled and shook herself, “Will you stop doing that if I agree to let you kiss me?”
“Deal!” Celestia exclaimed, her saddened visage evaporating like morning dew exposed to the midday sun.
“I knew you were faking!” Luna cried back, point an accusing hoof at the other alicorn.
“Only partly faking,” Celestia corrected, giving up on opening the bag and tossing it across the room before turning to Luna with a serious expression, “You really would break my heart if I lost you again.”
Luna considered the expression on Celestia’s face and found it to be genuine this time. Huffing she sidled back up to the other alicorn and made herself comfortable as she had been before. She sat there for a moment waiting expectantly before turning to Celestia who was sitting beside her quietly saying nothing with a light smile on her face.
“Well?”
“Well what?” Celestia asked.
“I gave you permission, aren’t you going to kiss me?” Luna elaborated.
Celestia considered for a moment before shaking her head, “I don’t think so. I’d much rather kiss a pony who wanted to be kissed.”
Luna blushed and tried to conceal the disappointment she felt come over her. She was interrupted in her thoughts a second time that day by her partner leaning in to kiss her again. This kiss was gentler but lingered longer before they broke again.
“I knew you liked it. You’re so cute,” Celestia said a hint of smugness marring the gentle smile she gave Luna.
“You’re kind of evil,” Luna said matter of factly.
“I know,” Celestia replied, leaning onto Luna and spreading a wing over her, “Lucky for me I recently found an old friend who can keep my evil side in check.”
Luna blushed again and leaned against her ancient friend as the two sat in companionable silence until it was time for them to return to their duties. And their assumed roles as siblings.
Krizak Comments!
Heh, I'm not Donny, but if the Princesses aren't sisters like you established here, I'm perfectly fine with the two of them making out. I actually like the idea that them being sisters is a ruse, one that Celestia struggles to maintain due to her actual feelings for Luna. The little detail of the kiss being the only thing Celestia could think of to stop Luna from her talk of leaving was nice, and Celestia's trollish tendencies were somewhat amusing here.
