How would cg!Mike deal with a little reader who's overtired and on the verge of a tantrum?

Definitely would be frustrated at first. You kept whining because he just couldn't understand you!

He sighs rubbing a hand over his face. He had gotten home around an hour ago and already brought Abby to bed, but now he was dealing with little you who was getting more worked up each time he tried to figure out what was bothering you.

"Listen, I'm really trying but you do need to tell me what's wrong for me to help you, alright?" he says standing before the TV and you crossed your arms pouting up at him from your position on the ground before the couch.

"Are you hungry?"

"No."

"You want to draw something?"

"Noooo."

He could see the tears well up in your eyes and he knows you're very close to a tantrum, which is the last thing he wants to happen after the day he had.

The moment you rubbed your eyes and let out a little yawn he sighed in relief at finally figuring out what got you so moody and whiny.

Without saying anything he turned off the TV, ignoring your grunt of disapproval and held his hand out for you, glad you comply and intertwined your fingers with his.

In his room you let out a surprised yelp when he suddenly picked you up and let himself fall back first on the bed with you on top of him, smiling a little when you started to giggle.

"So, I can either read to you or we listen to something, you choose baby." he offers and you sit up thinking for a moment.

"Read to me...pwease?"

5 minutes later you were in your jammies, cuddled up into Mike's side and watching him flip through the pages, the rumbling from his chest as he reads lulling you slowly to sleep.

Day 11: Fictional Caregiver

The Schmidt household was practically a second home to you. You crashed on the couch more often than not and even had a drawer full of your things in Mike’s room for easy access. Your living situation was less than ideal and you felt more comfortable with Mike and Abby than anyone else so it just worked out.

That’s how you found yourself outside their door one morning, knowing it would be just Mike at the house as Abby had already left for school. You used your key and offered a shaky smile to the sleepy man on the couch. “Hey.” He says at first, taking a few seconds to look up at you. When he finally does, his eyes widen at the tears running down your cheeks and he rushes towards you.

“What’s wrong, honey?” Mike asks, using his thumb to wipe under your eyes. You don’t answer but instead, you start to sob loudly. He’s definitely awake now, all his attention on you. He helps you the best he can to the couch so you can sit down. The second he sits down with you, you fling yourself into his arms and continue your breakdown.

Mike is quick to hold you, rubbing your back softly and whispering soothing things like “it’ll be okay” and “I’ve got you”. It helps more than he knows and the both of you sit there for what seems like hours.

When you begin to quiet down, you detach yourself from him and rub at your eyes. “Are you feeling any better?” Mike asks you and you nod lazily, a sudden tiredness washing over you. “T’ank you, Mikey.” The slurring and the nickname alerts Mike to the fact that sometime during your crying session, you slipped into littlespace.

You didn’t age regress too often, specifically around Abby. But Mike was always more than happy to take care of you when you did, especially when you were sad. “Of course, baby,” he uses his favorite nickname for you when you’re in that headspace, “how about we get you something to eat and drink and then you go take a nap?” He continues.

You nod again, “m’kay.” The idea of eating doesn’t sound too bad and you know you need to stay hydrated, even more so after crying. Mike grabs the television remote and turns on Abby’s favorite channel with all the cartoons. He gives you a kiss on your forehead and then hurries to the kitchen.

He and Abby had just had breakfast so he heats up the remaining pancakes and bacon, periodically checking on you. He slathers the pancakes with butter like he knows you like it and also cuts them up. Mike then delivers them to you on a plate.

You lighten up a bit at the food, starting to dig in as he goes to get you a glass of water. He comes back and sets it on the table in front of you. Before too long, you’ve finished your food and water and are back rubbing your eyes tiredly again.

“How about that nap?” Mike offers with a knowing smile. You nod and make grabby hands, indicating you want to be picked up. The man isn’t the most built but he works out enough to easily pick you up, knowing how much you like it when he does. You wrap your arms around his neck while he holds your thighs not too tight.

In a few seconds, you’re in Mike’s room and he deposits you carefully on his bed. He tucks you in so you’re nice and safe and comfortable. He’s about to turn away when you stop him. “Can we cuddle, please?” You ask and he already knows he’s not going to say no. He hums and slips into the bed, fortunately already in comfortable wear.

In the bed, you turn to face the wall opposite the door and Mike catches on, wrapping you up in his arms. Before he knows it, you and him fall asleep even with the sun peeking through the blinds at you both.

Mike chews the inside of his cheek as he drives down the long stretch of empty road back towards the Schmidt house, it’s far too quiet in the car, and while the car is usually a little quieter without Abby in the backseat, this is almost eerie. They’re driving forty minutes home from the hotel Abby is staying with Ness at- he’s become a trusted babysitter and had offered to take the girl to an upcoming convention for some show they both watch - Mike honestly doesn’t know how a nine year old and a twenty something year old waiter can be this excited about the same show but he was happy to get the alone time with Vanessa.

After everything that’s happened it’s been hard to find time for just them, Mike’s working a new job, Vanessa’s been doing double time since getting out of the hospital, they’ve all been going to therapy- life has been busy. Thankfully much more settled, but some time for tlc is always appreciated, and the longer this car ride goes on the more Mike thinks Vanessa really needs it.

She’s been shifting in her seat every five seconds with a twisted up look on her face as though she can’t get comfortable and her eyes have been looking anywhere but at Mike. It’s worrying him to the point he contemplates pulling over to figure out what’s wrong- but he’ll hold off and start with just asking, trying to remind himself that jumping to conclusions only leads to him getting anxious which is the last thing he needs if Vanessa’s already having a bad time.

“Nessa? You okay?” He drops his voice soft and caring, glancing at the blonde girl only to be turned away from.

“I’m fine.” The response is quick and pitchy, almost nervous sounding, she’s chewing on her thumb nail and staring out the window like she’s never seen anything more interesting in the whole world.

“Are you….feeling small?” Mike hesitates as he asks it. While he’s always eager to take care of Vanessa when she’s little and he loves to be able to help her heal from her horrid childhood; he knows Vanessa isn’t always keen on going small or even admitting she may need to/already is.

“I’m sorry…” The girl mumbles back and Mike swears his heart shatters to nothing. Screw it- he’s pulling over.

“Mike? What are you doing?” A surprised squeak leaves Vanessa when Mike swerves over to the side of the road, a little more chaotically than he thought it’d be.

“Sorry, didn’t mean to startle you. But, Nessa, you don’t have to apologize for going small.” A saddened look falls to Vanessa’s face as Mike turns in his seat to face her, reaching to take her hand carefully.

“We’re supposed to be having a romantic night to ourselves, not-.” Her eye flick away from Mike, a wetness to her lashes and her teeth dug into her bottom lip as if she’s keeping back sobs.

They have reservations for a nicer restaurant that’s a few towns over, Mike ironed his dress shirt before they left and he knows Vanessa was going to wear one of her dresses, but none of that is more important than her being comfortable. Not to Mike anyways.

“That’s not true, we’re having a night to ourselves, romantic or not. We could go home and clean the entire house if we wanted to, or drive around until I run out of gas, or hell- we could go running through the woods in the pitch black if we really wanted to. The only thing that matters is that we’re together, okay?”

“And I’d hate to miss a chance to see my best girl.” Mike moves his free hand to brush his thumb against Vanessa’s cheek, smiling when she blushes and giggles at the touch. The nickname ‘best girl’ started after Abby realized Vanessa didn’t have a version of her own nickname ‘sweet girl’ that Mike’s been calling her since she was still a baby.

“You sure? Don’t wanna ruin the night.”

“You’d never ruin the night, ever.”

Eventually the two make it home in much better spirits, Vanessa had started to sing along to the radio loudly while Mike was driving and she’s still humming as she bounces up the walkway to the front door. Mike’s more than relieved that Vanessa seems to be enjoying her regression, he always hates to see when she’s upset and small, it’s a different type of hurt.

“What do you want for dinner? We just went shopping so we still have options.” A grin breaks over Mikes lips when Vanessa comes to wrap around his waist where he’s bent to look into the fridge. There’s still leftovers from last nights dinner but there’s still plenty of fresh ingredients for Mikes to cook something new.

“Pizza!”

“Pizza? That’s the one thing I can’t make!” Vanessa giggles as Mike comes to scoop her into his arms, placing her on his hip with a playful squint when she pokes at his nose with her pointer finger.

“Pizza. With pepperoni.” He pretends to think it over for a moment- they both know he’ll cave- but he still likes to watch Vanessa’s eyes go big and puppy dog like as she waits.

“Okay, okay, enough with the eyes. We can get pizza.” Both Vanessa and Abby know giving Mike puppy dog eyes will get them just about anything they want, and judging by the smug smile on Vanessa’s face she definitely knew it’d work with this.

“With pepperoni.”

“With pepperoni.” He confirms with a kiss to the side of Vanessa’s head.

A night of pizza and cartoons honestly sounds better than going to some fancy restaurant where he’d have to wear uncomfortable clothes and eat overpriced food while pretending he didn’t feel completely out of place in the restaurant. Holding Vanessa to his chest as she steadily chews on her hoodie strings is also better than seeing her wearing a tight dress - which she looks absolutely stunning in- but he knows bothers her with how stiff it is. They don’t need some expensive dinner or anything like that, they just need each other.

He's more of a kind of big brother carer than a father type caregiver

Whenever you two are going somewhere, he makes sure to hold your hand for comfort and also to make sure you feel safe

I have this like odd headcanon that he's good at playing guitar, just playing lullabies on his guitar while trying to get you to fall asleep

Nicknames for you are Kiddo, Buddy, Bud, little one, little bro/sis/sib & bean !!

Slightly overprotective?? Especially if you both were to hypothetically work at the pizzeria together

If your tired, he'll just make you a blanket fort in his office with a lamp as a nightlight

He WILL hang your pictures up on the fridge, it's like a requirement

He usually regresses to around 1-3 so usually pretty young

He usually just sleeps when he regresses, just listening to his nature sounds also

Only really communicates through one or two word sentences or writing

He's really clingy!! He'll just follow you around like a baby duckling :((

Prefers places that aren't too noisy and not too bright, he doesn't really like bright lights

Call him Mikey and he'll just be giving you the puppy eyes the whole time he's regressed

He'll mostly be holding your hand, sleeve or part of your shirt so he can stay close to you

The Haunted watch (FNAF fangame)

The Haunted Watch is a fangame made by me (PaigeLTS05) and was published on the 8th of July 2022.

Most of the art assets were made in and throughout 2021.

It follows the final 5 days of C location remaining open, and follows the story of the night guard, Phone 'Krasnyy' Guy.

The game contains elusions to heavy violence, but only one ending (and it's the fake one) actually shows any blood.

It’s a little thing I made in RPG maker MZ, and whilst I can code in C++ and C# and have made some things in Unity, it’s just nice to not have the weight of physics and the movement system on your shoulders so you can just focus on making a story and somehow turning what should be a simple series of ‘if’ statements into spaghetti.

Total Dev time: approx. 120 hours.

The game is called…

The Haunted Watch.

Plot:

The year is 1997.

There have been many Freddy's locations, and each tried to emulate the methods of what transpired at Hurricane, Utah.

Whilst most have closed, the location in Chicago, Illinois, is still open, despite being noted as the failure of the bunch.

With a living phone guy, a reluctant purple man who may or may not now be colluding with the police, and a focus on electrical ghosts rather than remnant, this location was quite frankly deemed a mess, and now as the 10 year anniversary of this locations missing children incident approaches, the location cannot stay open any longer.

For the last week, the night guard on shift is Phone 'Krasnyy' Guy. As it approaches the 10 year anniversary of the missing children incident, the 4 year anniversary of almost getting murdered by Vincent Taylor on his 4th night also draws close, as well as it having been a few months since the animatronics made him their ‘voice’ (which entails him having to do as the animatronics command, since the animatronics realised that having a teammate not confined by circuitry would speed up the process of finding their killer).

All he has to do is survive one new final week. But the animatronics are not trying to kill him, but instead, are intent on pushing his sanity to its limits to find out when he will break again, as they’re not letting go of their final opportunity so soon.

Character portraits

The only portraits I used in this fangame that didn't belong to me are the two used for the arcade game characters. One came with the engine and the other was made using the in-engine character creator. But you won't see them here.

All of these are hand drawn:

Main: Krasnyy, Philip, Vincent

Krasnyy's portrait was the only one re-drawn in 2022, and he got a 'distressed' portrait to boot.

Antagonistic: Gerald, Felix, Ferdinand, Celes, Roy

Ending:

In the true ending, Krasnyy and Vincent get new portraits.

Even the characters who ONLY appear in the true ending have a portrait.

As mike appears in all endings, he also has a portrait.

And that's a wrap! I hope you play the game. It should take an hour, and DO NOT RELY ON THE AUTOSAVE (I didn't find the setting to switch autosaves OFF until after the games release and if I touch it again, it'll eat my time with overhauls).

Regressor!Mike Schmidt Headcannons

Yeah! And it is, I’m pretty sure that all the guards would regress honestly, lol.

Warnings: Represssing Regression(not really a warning, but it’s bad :()

Extra Notes: I love writing these! Coming up with ideas for my childhood came in something I enjoy and use to cope is so fun and calming! Okay, I’m gonna stop fanboying but seriously, I love writing these!

🔦 || Mike is a flip, he's primarily Jeremy's caregiver but he does regress to 0-3 from time to time and most of the time its 1 or below

🔦 || Scott is his usual caregiver and Jeremy helps watch him too

🔦 || He's a very calm little, usually just wanting cuddles and affection

🔦 || He doesn't like any other toys besides some sensory ones and some blocks and will glare at the other ones if they're offered

🔦 || He does use pacifiers and teething things, those are his favorite

🔦 || He's very stressed and will repress his regression to get things done, so when he does eventually regress, it's usually involuntary or with the help of friends and very young

🔦 || He's gotten a few lectures while he was big about his regression from Scott, he knows that his friend is just worried for him 

🔦 || He's very sweet while regressed though, clingy but very sweet

🔦 || He loves to be around Scott, seeing how he's his primary caregiver and the first one he told about his regression

🔦 || No one besides Vincent, Jeremy and Scott know about his regression and he will keep it that way

You were so tired. Work and life in general had caught up to you this week and you just wanted to relax. So, you found yourself at the Schmidts’ house, home to two of the most beloved people in your life: Mike and Abby. You had a special relationship with the former and the latter could lighten up your day no matter how bad it was.

But you unfortunately realized that it was still Friday, a weekday, and Abby would still be at school. And Mike’s car wasn’t in the driveway so you used your key to get in and bundled yourself up in blankets on the couch.

You were mindlessly watching the television when Mike came home through the front door. “Mikey!” You greeted him when he came in, peering around the couch to look at him. He saw you in your bundle of blankets and gave you a small smile when he realized you were most likely regressed.

“Hi, baby.” he said back, putting his things down on the dining table before coming over to you. He then ruffled your hair and kissed your forehead. “How was your week?” The question caused you to frown, your brain busy trying not to recall the reasons you had regressed in the first place.

Mike saw this and his smile dimmed slightly before brightening up a bit. “I just remembered. I got something for you. I left it in the car; I’ll be right back.” You perked up at the sudden change in subject, your eyes never leaving Mike as he walked back out the front door.

When he came in the second time after being gone for a minute, he was holding something behind his back. You sat up expectantly with bright eyes. “What is it, Mikey?” You had begun to stim, rocking back and forth on the couch in excitement. The aforementioned man smirked slightly and showed you what he was holding.

It was a big stuffed animal, a whale shark. You squealed in excitement as you beheld one of your favorite animals ever in a huge plush form. You made grabby hands and it made Mike laugh, something that also delighted you. He handed it to you and you squeezed it, reveling in the softness of it.

“Thank you, Mikey!” You chirped appreciatively, still remembering your manners. “You’re welcome.” Mike sat down with you, grinning fondly as your ran your hands over the shark again and again. You didn’t have very many materials things as never having too much money was something you had in common with Mike. He had to have known how much it would mean to you (and you would question him over the cost of it later when you weren’t regressed).

“What are you going to name him? Or her?” Mike hummed, getting comfortable by leaning back. “I think ‘m gonna call him… MJ!” You had already had an idea in your head of what you would name your first stuffie: something that meant a lot to you. “Do the letters stand for anything?”

“Mikey Junior!” You grinned. Mike blinked owlishly in a stupor before smiling again. He leaned forward towards you and peppered your face in a multitude of kisses. “I love you, baby.” He said softly, almost unheard from the amount of giggles you were emitting. “I love you too, Mikey.”
