How thoroughly, exactly, should a fic be tagged? I know the whole content warning/kink courtesy, but like--do you tag characters you plan to appear that haven't made it to chapter yet? Do you tag ships when the other half of the ship only first comes on screen halfway through? Do you get as extensive with tropes as you can? Is it just a "whatever you think fits" kind of thing?

Currently trying to find a balance between fic tags that are helpful and not having a wall of text before the summary.
