HENRY- There's no specific kinks to speak of. Henry gets the maximum amount of pleasure from pleasing his partner, so he's pretty easygoing in the bedroom. He’s very perceptive and it doesn’t take him long to figure out what his partner likes despite his lack of experience with sex and relationships, so he’s surprisingly good in bed.

Persephone maintained an active lifestyle and found enjoyment in a variety of sports, spanning from swimming and ball games to the art of ballet.

As Seymour's due date drew closer, a knock on the door followed by the family dog barking madly signaled an unexpected visit from Agnes's nephew, Mortimer—a visit undoubtedly orchestrated by Cornelia. As if he were being forced to recite the offer against his will, Mortimer reluctantly extended his services to babysit the girls, as her days grew busier with a new baby. Agnes appreciated the offer and could've certainly used his help, but she knew well that Mortimer, being a teenage boy, would likely rather be off doing something else, rather than tasked with keeping an eye on his younger cousins.

Agnes remembered back to her sister Cornelia's assertion that Mortimer's best friend, Bella Bachelor, was beginning to "smile at him in a different way now." Struck with a clever idea, Agnes proposed a deal to Mortimer: If he would be willing to babysit the girls and take good care of them during her labor and the early days with the new baby, he could bring Bella along to assist him. Considering his mother didn't allow him and Bella to be alone anymore, Mortimer lit up like a lightbulb, and eagerly accepted. He did request, however, that Agnes not mention Bella's involvement in this arrangement to his mother.

And it sure was lucky the Darlings got a babysitter just in time, for not long after, in the early hours of the morning at 4:27 AM, on All Hallow's Eve, the Darlings welcomed a bouncing baby boy with little babydoll eyes. They held him close, celebrating the first happy birthday of many more to come.

One criticism tho is that (atleast right now) it seems the conflict between Saria and Silence was a complete misunderstanding, Saria never willingly participated in Project Diabolic so there should be no reason for Silence to keep Saria from seeing Ifrit. I kinda miss the days of all the theories about Saria’s involvement and how badly she could have fucked up, now its just that she looks scary doing her job but has the best intentions, idk sorry for rambling in your inbox

Saria absolutely fucked up.

While Saria /was/ conned into signing off on Project Diabolic, Silence still tried to test Saria, Silence asked her what she would do that if the worst case with Ifrit was to happen. Instead of understanding the intent behind Silence's words, Saria simply answered that they couldn't rule out the worst case scenario needing her to deal with Ifrit.

What Silence needed to hear then was for Saria to say that, if it ever came down to it, Saria would choose Ifrit over Rhine Labs. Silence's trust in Saria's love for Ifrit was the one thing that Parvis' manipulation couldn't break on its own; Silence insisted that even if she meant nothing to Saria, even if Saria would never choose her, she would always choose Ifrit over Rhine.

But Saria didn't say that.

And when it came down to it? When the worst case actually happened? Silence found Saria pinning Ifrit to the floor by the throat, a blade aimed at a literal child. Even Saria doesn't truly realize what she was doing until hearing Silence's scream, and when she looks back she sees she's strangling Ifrit.

What can Saria say to that? "This isn't what it looks like?" "I didn't mean to hurt her?" "This is all just a misunderstanding, they tricked me into signing off on this project?" Silence would never believe any of that, and Saria knows it from the look of fear in the owl's eyes.

That's why all Saria could do was bring Ifrit to Silence and leave without a single word to take out her anger on Kirsten. Saria knows she fucked up, Silence would never believe in her again no matter what she says.

Their relationship was already weird, Silence was an assistant researcher, but Saria was literally the co-founder of the company. That imbalanced power dynamic alone should have caused some measure of distrust between them, and it was only because of Silence being the only Rhine employee that could see Saria for the kind, caring person she is rather than being afraid of her that a true bond between each other could even happen.

And Saria broke that trust. Now anything she could say in her defense would just be the co-founder of Rhine Labs obviously covering for Rhine Labs. Saria already has difficulty talking to people with her poor social skills, but convincing Silence of her innocence and her love for Ifrit after nearly killing the girl? Impossible.

Silence was the only person in all of Rhine Labs that thought of Saria as her own person capable of showing love rather than as Kirsten's scary thug, and instead of proving that, all Saria did was prove to Silence that she was wrong and everyone else was right about the Defense Director.

Saria's good intentions can't help her here.

I saw the post you did on the characters from your story and was wondering if you could post some facts about them?

HENRY -

He graduated with honors from Cambridge University at the age of just 22 with a PhD in Egyptology. His goal is to discover the tomb of Alexander the Great.

Deathly allergic to shellfish.

RICK -

Has written several books, one of which became a bestseller. All profits went to charity to help victims of the 9/11 attacks (his father was NYFD and died in the collapsing of the Twin Towers)

He and Victoria once got married while dunk in Las Vegas.  The marriage was annulled after about a week.  

VICTORIA -

Her parents were stockbrokers, so she grew up rich and spoiled, and was raised to be a strong and independent woman. She was named after Victoria Woodhull, the first woman in the United States to run for President.

Is a direct descendant of the poet Lord Byron through his daughter Ada, Countess of Lovelace, hence her middle name (Victoria Lovelace Gaviston)

JAYME

Their family is devoutly Roman Catholic. They were born in Vatican City, Rome, and shunned by their family when they came out as non-binary.

An incredible artist who enjoys sketching people they see walking past their townhouse window. They have countless sketchpads filled with drawings and always carry a pad and pencil with them.

AKIRA -

Born and raised in Sapporo, Japan a to working class family that owns a teahouse there. Akira has dual-citizenship with the United States, as his maternal grandfather is from Philadelphia. (This makes him 1/4 Irish-American)

As is traditional in Japan, his family name comes first when he is addressed, which is why in the story, he is listed as Asano Akira or Dr. Asano.

KIRSTEN -

Her twin sister Kelsey has a podcast called Cold Cases and Cocoa, where Kirsten frequently guest stars. They talk about all murder mysteries and drink hot chocolate every other Sunday.

MAX -

Almost always seen wearing his father's leather jacket, left behind for him when his father died five years ago of brain cancer.

There's a very distinct scar on his left forearm that stretches halfway down from his elbow, the result of a motorcycle accident when he was 19.

ELENA -

Her older brother Erik is a veteran of the Iraq War and now owns a bar called The Junction, where she works as a bartender.

She modeled on occasion to pay for college and was once in an ad for Levi Jeans when she was 18.
