okay but now I'm so happy I know about Elizabeth Bigley/Cassie L. Chadwick, 19th-century American con artist (okay she was Canadian, but she mostly worked in the US)

favorite thing she did: ran a brothel and then, when she set her sights on marrying a wealthy doctor, pretended to believe that it was a boarding-house for respectable women only to be SCANDALIZED when he told her it was a well-known House of Ill Repute. oh she would never have intended such a thing! he must rescue her from here at once! could she possibly impose upon his hospitality to stay at his large elegant home?

the friendship in h2o actually had me so weakkk, cause i keep thinking about that if cleo had become a mermaid by herself she would have spent her entire life afraid of herself and water. I just can't stop imagining cleo absolutely traumatized by her own body and ability. she's either hide it forever and never tell anyone and never explore it for herself, or she would end up experimented on and studied. becoming less and less of a person 😭 anyway, all this to say they saved each other and i don't think they could have done any of it without each other and im still so sad that they drift apart in canon

(in my mind they talk to emma every week during season 3 and do group facetime's every week when they become adults)

Maybe unpopular opinion but I actually really loved Zane and his relationship with Rikki. I love how he wasn’t a typical “bad boy” and they gave him such a great character arc especially in season 2. You can tell he’s messed up but he did genuinely care for her in the end. Then season 3 ruined my life thanks for that
