I usually avoid doing these unless the situation is dire.  Some of you might be familiar with my “Toxic Person Alert” post from October of 2018 that mentions a prolific and abusive plagiarizer.  The person in question has been issued a lifetime ban on dA, but they are still active on Tumblr.

They are actively liking AND reblogging Xiaolin posts with comments--ancient posts from back when you first started your blog.  I had this person blocked, but seeing them do this with a close friend’s blog has triggered me, and I do not trigger easily.  Please report and block them for spam or harassment, or both.  I’ll put more details below for those who are interested.

TL;DR, if you see a blog called Del//aneyAr//t (without slashes) in your notes, block and report them on sight.

What started off as a cut and dry case of plagiarism has grown into an all out shit show.  De//laneyA//rt here on tumblr entered the deviant art side of the Xiaolin fandom with some very nice traditional drawings.  Soon after, people realized that she had copied all of her compositions from other artists, both in and outside of the Xiaolin fandom.  When the original artists politely asked her to credit them, she refused, saying that “[they] should be grateful that [she] even took notice of [their] shitty art,” and “[she] was inspired... [and] didn’t mean any harm.”  When confronted about understanding the laws of copyright she said, “art has no rules,” and “I don’t need to prove myself to anyone.”  A very interesting point of view for someone who claims they want to be a teacher and do “nationwide commissions.”  Everything should have ended with her account being banned, but it didn’t.

D went on to make new accounts.  Messaging those she had plagiarized with rude, abusive messages, and then blocking them so they could not respond.  It got to the point that one of my favorite artists was considering leaving the fandom all together because D had made them feel so helpless.  D finally received a lifetime ban from dA for evading a one week suspension earlier this month (December 2018).  She is still making new accounts and trying to apologize, saying she and the person she copied most are friends now.  The artist in question, Skyrawathi on dA, wants nothing to do with D, and is even thinking about taking legal action against her.  So what does all this have to do with tumblr?

Again, D//elane//yArt is trying to make a name for herself in some corner of the internet.  She is currently reposting her plagiarized works without credit to the original artists, even after she said publicly on dA (before her account was deleted) that she would credit artists now.  Every time she tries to make a comeback she finds my “Toxic Person Alert” post from October 2018, and replies to it with “lol.”  She replies in the same fashion to everyone who has outted her abuse in the past, then promptly blocks all of us so we cannot respond, even if we wanted to.  You might see her liking a bunch of your posts.  You might even see her reblogging your posts with comments.  DO NOT LIKE HER CONTENT.  DO NOT GIVE HER NOTES.  DO NOT MESSAGE HER ON ANY PLATFORM.  ALL SHE WANTS IS ATTENTION.  DO NOT GIVE IT TO HER.  If you so much as give her one like, she will message you, asking that you consider following her.  Block her before she even gets the chance.  Keep her out of your notes.  Report and Block her or she will sink her nails into you and never let go.

The XS fandom and chamiko shippers are right now, suffering with a shameless art thief.

There is a big difference between practicing re-draw, and stealing art in such a horrible way.
