Here's to systems who change a lot!

In neurodivergent or larger systems, it can be quite common for there to be drastic changes pretty often; whether it might be because their interests shift, or because they're so large that any one group might not stay static, here's to those who experience these changes!

Shoutout to:

Systems who don't have a host, or have multiple hosts

Plurals who's hyperfixations and special interests influence their splits/main fronters

Polyfragmented individuals who split off groups of fragments at a time

Large collectives that end up shifting over time in general

Systems who regularly experience system collapses, resets, shuffles, dormancy, hibernation, and similar events

Those who end up splitting large amounts of introjects

It's hard to go with the flow sometimes, but change is part of nature! I know it can be difficult to handle some days, but you're doing so amazing right now! Please never forget that!

I'm honestly so sad abt doing this after all these years but I've gotta close ko-fi requests 😔 I really can't justify the time I spend on them against the amount I earn on them ): it's been fine before but as I'm goin into my last year of uni I need to get a better balance between uni work and art-money work. on this, commissions are getting an overhaul in the coming weeks bc I know I'm super undercharging lmao which I can't keep up, bc again, I've gotta try not to fail my degree while also making sure art is a viable side hustle loll.

I may open kofi reqs again when I've got more time (or failing that make them a part of kofi memberships at some point)!!! but for now rip kofi reqs ): (my kofi will obvs stay open for support and -- if you want smthn back for ur support -- kofi membership early access!!)

HOWEVER in better news with my commissions overhaul I'm gonna be opening a new, cheaper type of commission so hopefully that'll be a nice balance for everyone!

sooo i think about classpect a lot still because Special Interest and here's a summary of my general thoughts on it.

things a classpect can be:

a role you are Destined to play in the game

a role you are Destined to play In General

a role you are Forced to play

a role that is simultaneously determined For you and By you, due to the nature of paradox space, branching timelines, and the restrictions of a linear perception of time

a completely arbitrary title based on ultimately random factors

a Description of a narrative arc

an Assignment of a narrative arc

a description of your cool powers

the result of a literal/metaphorical/metaphysical personality quiz

a title a real life person gives themselves for funsies ;)

all of the above

none of the above

i feel like a lot of people either 1) generally agree with the popular fandom consensus and don't look beyond that or 2) overcompensate by trying to have The True And Correct Take. however, there is a crucial thing being overlooked with both of those viewpoints which is that you can do whatever you want! forever!! :3

i (mainly) use classpect-as-narrative-arc. this is neither Correct nor Incorrect! the same is true of literally any other theory, by nature of it being a Theory. that is ok! i think everyone should generally do what they find most fun/most interesting/most helpful for their story/creation.

i do also think that it's worth keeping an open mind and taking the time to consider different viewponts, but that doesn't mean your own has to change. it just means you should look out for new ideas so that you don't miss any that you think are cool! sometimes there's ideas that you could totally have fun with and incorporate into your system if you just considered it for a second, and realized that it is kind of an awesome concept.

but the most important thing will always be HAVING FUN, like in a general sense ^-^ for example, i use classpect-as-arc in most of my homestuck-adjacent stories, but i have some other ones where i go for classpect-as-forced-role instead because of the themes i want to explore there. and there are a couple of settings i've created where classpects are nothing but powersets, and are irrelevant to the plot outside of that. i think this kind of mixing and matching is a good approach that keeps you from getting locked into one way of thinking! plus it means you get to play around a lot more.

if your goal is only to analyze the canon text, you might not be so interested in the less canon-compliant takes. that's ok too! but until we get actual confirmation on Any of these theories (which might never happen -n-) it's going to be really up in the air, which i'm... honestly kind of glad for at this point? part of me isn't entirely convinced that hussie even had a single definitive answer in mind, which wouldn't be that surprising really, though one may have been decided on after the fact. or maybe there's some Super Secret Truth that existed all along and just hasn't been revealed to us!

either way, use the concept of classpects however you want, because no one can stop you!!!! >:3 you are the artist, it is you! write and draw what inspires you! and support other people who do the same!! maybe even COLLABORATE so you can make BIGGER COOLER THINGS >:D

Sorry if this is a weird thing to say but I’ve been following you since… Oh God, like maybe 2015 or so? Somewhere around there I think. Anyways I really admired your art then, and have continued to be further and further impressed by your work as time goes on. Seeing that you were only just starting university around then gives me so much hope for my art and that maybe one day I can make stuff that others are impressed by. myy stands for "my younger years" and loosely refers to the fic chain and sequence of events surrounding the oc I made up to pair with gojo and/or getou.

I started calling it that because I compiled the central, largely canon compliant with regard to events, fics together on ao3 under the same name: my younger years so that they could be read as a body, since I started getting a little self-referential with the pieces, and started fleshing out the oc backstory more. The title refers to the song 'wasting my young years' by london grammar

got accepted into the online sociology program so ig im officailly a college student, again. which is wild. still struggling to grasp that. bit nervous about being a student and shit again. im reaching out to office of disability services per my therapists request to see about accommodations. even tho im online. im just nervous bc ive been so unstable in the past during academic years. but im also excited! i have a student email and finished orientation (online) and meet with an advisor friday. so that's something.
