Pattern in my OTPs: Sadistic! Top x Fearless! Bottom

Dont mind me, just self-indulging about my OTPs

Anyways!

Recently, I've noticed that I have a certain type when in comes to my OTPs which is a sadistic top paired with a fearless bottom. Granted, not all of my OTPs are of this type but I dont think its an exaggeration when I say that at least 90% of them are like this

GinHiji

Out of all of my OTPs, I'd say GinHiji pretty much embodies my favourite type of OTPs. Gintoki is canonically a Sadist and in fact, is known to be a Do-S alongside Sougo. Contrasting him is the fearless yet tsundere Hijikata. Another reason why I like them is the manzai combi they have. Hijikata is forever exasperated by Gintoki and cant help but be the tsukkomi to Gintoki's boke 🤣

BakuDeku

These 2 have a very complicated relationship but thankfully have improved a lot especially in recent years. Bakugou can be quite sadistic but considering what's happened between them and him canonically wants to do better, I think it'll take awhile for Bakugou to let out that sadistic side of him around Deku

With Deku though, he doesnt mind and I think we all can agree that Deku is a disastrous combination of fearless and reckless 😅

One of my 1st OTPs since high school. Now, I dont think i need to tell anyone who's ever read or watched KHR that Mukuro is hands down quite terrifying and considering his introduction, has a sadistic streak a mile wide

For Tsuna, yeah....while its true that he tend to be more afraid than not but as time went on, it became more apparent that he's grown to be couragous and fearless when it comes to his Famiglia

KamuShin

granted, this is more of a crackship since Kamui and Shinpachi barely interacted but I like how their personalities mesh together. Kamui is another canonically sadistic chara in Gintama, anyone who's ever seen him fight in the Yoshiwara or Silver Soul arc can attest to that. Not to mentioned all of the shenanigans and mayhem he likes to cause with a deranged grin

Shinpachi is noted to be fearless in his own right, capable of accomplishing feats that other normal humans would feel impossible to even try. cant forget that he's also the one who made Utsuro pause before the timeskip

plus, they're also a manzai combi! a Do-S Yato boke with a glasses tsukkomi XD

ParaEmu

initially, i like them as a switch couple but recent years make me lean more of them as a fixed pair with Parad as a top. starting out as a villain, Parad was noted to be quite sadistic especially when he possessed Emu. He's since mellowed out but since we dont see much of how the charas are post-canon, its hard to say if he retained his more sadistic nature. i tend to hc that he does but only lets it out when needed

if anyone knows Emu's not so pleasant childhood and how he's risen to overcome many obstacles in life, then i think we can agree that he's become one of the most fearless charas in Ex-Aid

DeathPuss

okay, this one is pretty much on the nose. sadistic grim reaper hunting down everyone's favourite fearless hero anyone?

WangXian

Wei Wuxian is one of the most fearless charas I've ever had the pleasure to know about. the way he holds onto his morals and convictions even as the whole world turned against him is nothing short of inspiring. born with a smile and a noble heart that's matched by his beloved husband Lan Wangji

while he's not sadistic in the usual sense, Lan Wangji in the novel is known to mercilessly tease his husband especially in :ehem: bed. not to mentioned that when he deems it necessary, this man never hesitates to swiftly cut people down with just a few words right at jugular too

DazuShi

a suicidal former Port Mafia who's known to torture people paired with his steadily fearless were-tiger. i love their dynamic

MiSawa

Miyuki Kazuya is canonically known as twisted by both allies and opponents alike even feared to the point of petrifying the target of his ire with just a glare.

Sawamura Eijun? the fearless sunshine boy who overcome odds that would and have retired many players from the game. the Yips arc was remarkable in showing Eijun's strength and determination

KaiShin

the trickster who can easily manipulate law enforcements and enemies alike. its more noted in the early chapters of the manga, but Kaito was more callous. while thats no longer the case, Kaito is still quite unhinged

Shinichi? well, with all the reckless stunts he's pulled over the past 20+ years, i think fearless is an understatement for this detective

LawLu

the recent addition to my OTP list. LawLu is the one that made me realise that I tend to favour sadistic tops when I was trying to articulate Law's preference in my HC

thats when I realised that Law has a sadistic streak in canon. while its not explored all that much since he's an ally of the Straw Hats, we see hints of it. combined with the fact that he's a nerd, big on plans and control, he's a terrifying force. this is the same guy who cut opened 100 pirate hearts and sent them to the Marines

Luffy? he's fearless as they come. overcoming many hardships and coming out stronger. who fights for freedom and nakama even if it means facing death. hell, its canon that he's not afraid to face death for what he believes in

The Legend of Asriel PART 6 | DEATH MOUNTAIN

it’s about as unpleasant as it sounds.

Frisk and Chara reach Death Mountain, and their first order of business is seeking out a blacksmith who can reforge their sword. There’s a bit of a famine going on right now so none of the Gorons are in working condition, but someone happens to direct Frisk to a Zora who lives just out of Goron City.

Following those directions, Frisk and Chara find an elderly turtle man sunning himself on the edge of a hot spring. Chara recognizes him and is confused as to why he’s here. Frisk knows not of their history with this guy though, and just walks up to ask if he can help reforge their sword.

Gerson laughs and says he’s not called the Hammer for nothing, he’s sure he can fix whatever toy sword they broke during target practice. Frisk removes the bundle from their backpack and shows him the shards of the Master Sword. Gerson rubs at his chin. “Hmm. Tricky one, that.”

Can you do it? Frisk writes in their notebook.

“The blade shouldn’t be too hard, I’ve got all the material I need here.“ Chara resists the urge to bring up the missing piece. “The hilt is harder, it’s made of a special material you can’t just melt down and cast into a new shape. I’d need to make another from scratch.“

Is it rare?

“Somewhat. As luck would have it, there is a deposit in the nearby mines, but those are flooded out.”

Frisk looks him up and down. ...Aren’t you like, a turtle? Surely a little water can’t stop you.

Gerson laughs heartily. “A little water is nothing, even for my old bones. Lava, however, poses quite a risk.“

Frisk makes a soft noise of understanding. If I got you a piece of this stuff, could you reforge it then?

“Of course!“ Gerson says. “I’d be delighted to, in fact. Not everyone can say they reforged the Legendary Blade of Evil’s Bane!“

Frisk beams, bundles the shards back up, and tells Gerson they’ll be back soon before hurrying off again. Chara trails them with a skeptical look. “Okay I appreciate the enthusiasm, but how exactly do you plan to get this weird rock? Do you have a supplier or something?”

Frisk slows to a stop, staring into the sky with a look of impending realization.

“...You didn’t think that far ahead, did you.“

Frisk most assuredly didn’t, but they won’t let that stop them! They do some more poking around, and eventually encounter a Hylian bard living it up in the town square, providing a brief moment of levity for the Gorons in this trying time.

Chara wonders how he can stand wearing such impractical clothing in this sweltering volcano, and Mettaton offhandedly mentions something about the laboratory near the peak before he registers that the person he just replied to is a ghost.

The dude doesn’t stick around, leaving Frisk and Chara with just the clue pointing towards the laboratory. It’s not much, but it’s all they’ve got, so they go to investigate.

The lab seems abandoned at first, all dark and messy and stuff. Frisk pokes around a bit, not giving it up as a lost cause just yet, and then Chara hears a weird scuffling noise. Frisk sees them tense, and they turn around just in time to see a flash of golden scales vanishing around a corner.

They give chase, and with a little help from Chara they track down the mysterious creature. A light flickers on, and Frisk finds themself face to face with a yellow Lizalfos in a lab coat.

For a moment, the two of them stare each other, down. Frisk isn’t quite sure what to make of the monster, and the Lizalfos looks kinda like a deer in the headlights. After a moment, though, Frisk’s hand inches towards their sword, and the Lizalfos rears back not to attack, but to frantically wave her hands defensively.

“Wait wait wait I can explain!“ she says, and it takes Chara a moment to dart into the right spot to interpret because they were not expecting a talking lizard. “Y-you see, I’m not a-actually a monster! I-I’m Dr. Alphys, and I’m t-t-totally a normal person, I’m j-just cursed to look like this! J-j-just c-cursed!“

Frisk raises an eyebrow, removing their hand from their sword and straightening up. They glance at Chara, who just shrugs, then dig out their notebook again. Do you need any help with that?

“N-n-no, it’s quite alright!“ Alphys says, looking a little sheepish. “I-I-I don’t get out much s-s-so it’s not like it matters how I look! I’ve got all my brains u-up here, s-so I’m fine!”

Frisk nods, relieved that they don’t have to add another layer to this fetch quest chain. I heard you can make heat-resistant clothing, they write.

“Where did you—“ Alphys starts, before pausing. “O-oh, I suppose I did give Mettaton some of my prototypes... how were they, by the way? That guy never gives me useful feedback.“

Frisk shrugs. He didn’t look bothered by the heat, but honestly it’s not that bad.

“Speak for yourself,“ Chara comments. “I’d be dying if I weren’t already dead. You’re just a weird desert gremlin.“

Frisk ignores them.

Alphys, unaware of the ghost floating next to her, nods thoughtfully. “Good, good, the tests I ran seemed positive but it’s good to have more data. Oh— w-were you interested in my fireproof clothing as well?“

Frisk nods. If it’s available, I’d like to buy a set.

“O-of course! Might I ask what you n-need it for?“

I wanna go into the mines but I hear they got flooded with lava.

Alphys pauses. “...Erm, a-and why do you want that?”

I need a special stone to reforge this legendary sword that got broken.

A long moment passes between them.

“...Can’t argue with that,“ Alphys says, then turns and walks away.

Frisk pays up and Alphys custom fits them with a nice heatproof tunic which I haven’t designed yet, but I probably will eventually and whenever that happens I’ll probably edit in a picture here.

But anyway now they’re decked out in sweet fashion and so they trek off to the mines, which are another dungeon. I don’t have nearly as much to say as I did for the Lost Caverns. It’s a bunch of mines and stuff, there’s magma. They get the Burnt Hammer, which is basically the equivalent of the burnt pan but like. It’s a hammer. And there’s some kinda a monster or possessed machinery or a monster possessing machinery, and after Frisk kicks its ass the mines go back to normal and everyone rejoices and they get a cool blue rock which happens to be timeshift stone but shhhhhhh it’s not that important.

And so they return triumphantly to Gerson’s forge, materials in tow, and ask him to reforge the Master Sword for them. Gerson laughs, declares that they truely do have the soul of a hero. Then he asks what kind of sword they’d like him to make it into, at which point they kinda stall out because they were kinda assuming it’d just be forged back into its original shape.

“Nonsense,“ Gerson says. “Trying to copy the original perfectly is a fool’s errand, and if it’s going to be reforged for a new wielder why not have them choose its shape?“

Frisk agrees with this reasoning, but they don’t know enough about swords to make a decision. Chara, however, does. They tap Frisk on the shoulder, an odd glint in their eye, and spell something out for Frisk to write in their notebook. They show it to Gerson, and he clearly knows what it means as he laughs again and gets right to work on that sword.

It takes time to make a sword, and so Frisk stays a couple nights in Gerson’s cottage. Chara keeps randomly snickering every time the Master Sword comes up in conversation, and they refuse to explain themself, so Frisk just resigns themself to finding out what they told Gerson to make when the sword is done.

After the better part of a week has passed with Frisk doing various sidequests for the Gorons, Gerson finally presents them with the reforged Master Sword.

Frisk unwraps it from the cloth covering carefully, examining the sheath before tugging it free to look at the blade. It’s beautifully crafted, the hilt carved into something reminiscent of a bird while the blade is razor sharp. They can’t help but admire the craftsmanship, and even Chara pauses to ooh and aah a little before they collapse into another fit of giggles.

“You know, it’s kinda funny you picked that kind of sword,“ Gerson comments, and Chara barely manages to pull themself back together enough to interpret. “See, there was this young whippersnapper I used to know, and they always said that was their favourite kind of sword. You know why?“

Frisk tilts their head in a silent question.

“They said it was ‘cause of the way the hilt is put together,“ Gerson explains. “In their words, it isn’t technically a sword. Just a very large knife.“

Chara descends into a full on fit of laughter. Frisk stands there for a long moment, then looks back down at the Master Sword. Then they set it down and take out their notebook. Does that make this the Master Knife, then?

Gerson joins Chara in laughing. “I like your style,” he tells them, as he follows them to the door. “Remember me after you’ve saved the world, alright, kid?”

Frisk nods, slinging the Master Knife over their back, and slaps Chara on the shoulder on the way out to get them to stop laughing already, it’s not that funny.

(It’s absolutely that funny, Chara insists inside their own head. God they love knives.)

Wool’s Orphanage

Part 3: Float!

||Chara Bolton was left at Wool’s Orphanage when she was just a few months old. She has been living there ever since. Chara likes being alone and does not have many friends but upon realising that she and Tom Riddle have some special things in common, she wants to spend more time with him.

(All the rights belong to JK Rowling except for a few original characters)

I’m sorry if my writing sucks. This is my first story and English is not my first language. I also want to add a small trigger warning for depression, self-harm, violence and abusive relationships.||

Chara didn't even bother trying to get to her favourite seat first, Tom was walking towards it without even throwing her an intimidating look. It was like he knew she wouldn't try it. So she just followed him and took the seat next to his. Everyone who had to help prepare lunch was walking in and out of the kitchen and a few children were already seated. Chara and Tom didn't talk during lunch, she tried to think of something to say but all that came to her mind were questions that she shouldn't ask while other children were there. Something Chara didn't understand was Tom's behaviour. He was always so angry and annoyed by everything. But why was he in such a bad mood all the time when he had these amazing powers? Chara couldn't stop smiling, she was amazed and a little scared that she would wake up to discover it was a dream. This just didn't feel real. She was a little discouraged because she wasn't able to let the pocket watch float but she would try again after lunch. Chara glanced over at Tom, he was a mystery to her, she had so many questions about this power and about him but she was too scared to ask any of them. Would he help her control it? He seemed so angry at her but then again he was always angry and aggressive. Maybe he hated her. Maybe he didn't want her to have this power too. She decided to stop thinking about Tom and focus on positive things. Chara was excited to get back to her room and practice letting things float. Her thoughts were interrupted by Miss Lester. "Remember that you all should be ready to go in an hour. We'll meet in the backyard where you're going to be separated into four groups. We will be back for dinner. Happy Halloween everyone!" "Don't forget to bring your dishes to the kitchen." Mrs Cole added. Chara had completely forgotten about Halloween. She didn't want to go, she wanted to practice! Everyone was getting up but to Chara's surprise, Tom was still sitting next to her. He was normally the first person to leave the room. She noticed that he had barely touched his food. Sure it didn't really taste good but here in Wool's Orphanage everyone was happy when they had enough. He suddenly looked at her, as if he knew what she was thinking, he had a smirk on his face but then it changed to a face of agony, he put his hands on his stomach and yelled over the loud chatter: "M-Mrs Cole? I don't feel so good" She immediately came over, put her hand on his forehead and looked at his plate with a concerned look. "Oh dear, you haven't eaten anything! I don't think you have a high temperature though, where does it hurt?" "My stomach, I couldn't get myself to eat more." he looked at Mrs Cole as if the pain was about to kill him. "Please go to your room, I will ask Martha to take a look at you and in the meantime I want you to rest and drink as much as possible. I'm afraid I can't let you walk through London today, I'm sorry. Chara please be a dear and bring Tom's plate to the kitchen for him" She left the food hall in a hurry probably to search for Martha. Chara couldn't believe this. He was obviously not sick! He just didn't want to go out! She didn't want to either. Chara was actually a little impressed by how easy it was for him to convince Mrs Cole that he was sick.

Tom was already at the door to his room when she caught up to him. "You're not sick, are you?!" She said when he opened the door. "What makes you think that?" He questioned innocently. "Too bad I can't go out today, I hope you have fun though." He added smirking. "I don't want to go either!" "That's not my problem." And with that, he closed the door. She wanted to go in but wasn't really sure what he would do. He was very scary sometimes. Tom probably didn't think about entering her room once, earlier today. Uncertain if this was the right decision she touched the doorknob and entered slowly. Chara realised that she had never been in his room before, to no surprise it looked nearly identical to hers just without a mirror. Tom was sitting on his bed with a book in his hand, ignoring her. She had actually expected him to yell at her or worse. With a little more confidence she closed the door behind her and just as she did so she felt something heavy hit her head. "What the-" Then another thing hit her shoulder, she tried to shield herself from whatever attacked her with her hands. Looking up she saw 5 rocks floating above her head and they then immediately came crashing down on her. "I don't remember inviting you in." Tom was standing now, with an intimidating look on his face. "I-I'm sorry" she was a little angry because he had entered her room too without an invitation. "Do you think we're friends now? Do you actually believe that I would show you how it works? That I would care or like that you might have the same powers as me?" He had taken a few steps forward while taking and Chara pressed herself against the door getting more scared of him with every step. "N-No! I- I was just-" he was right in front of her now. "Stop stuttering. It's annoying." "I was hoping you could help me come up with an excuse so I can stay here too." Chara was trying to sound confident but she was obviously shaking. "Why would I do that? Have I ever given you a reason to believe I would enjoy helping you?" He stared at her for a few more seconds before turning around walking towards his bed. Chara was just happy that he didn't attack her with more rocks so she opened the door to leave. "You know I actually thought you were more intelligent than other children, turns out you're just as dull" Tom said, not looking up from the book that he had just started reading again. "I-" Chara started. "Out of everyone here you have the best excuse to stay. You better talk to Miss Lester, she is way easier to persuade. Now, leave." He still didn't look at her. "I won't be bothering you again! I promise!" with that, she left the room as quickly and quietly as she could. Chara felt stupid. Why hadn't she thought of this? It was so obvious what she had to do! She ran down the stairs and saw Miss Lester walking into Mrs Cole's room. Chara was trying to think of what exactly she would say to her and rubbed her eyes intensely so they would look red as if she had cried. Her heart skipped a beat when she saw Miss Lester come out of the room and Chara trotted towards her with her head down. "Miss Lester?" she said, still looking at the floor. "What is it Chara? Are you okay?" Miss Lester went on both knees so she could be face to face with Chara. "I- I can't go." she tried her best to look very sad and managed to make herself tear up. "Oh dear, why not? You were so excited a few days ago." "I can't stop crying. I keep asking myself why my parents abandoned me. Who are they? Was I not good enough? Do they hate me? I-" Miss Lester interrupted her with a hug. Chara was surprised and didn't really know how to react. She just stood there. "Oh, Chara!" Miss Lester let her go to look at her face and wiped a few tears away. "Let's go to your room and talk a little. Would you like that?" She gave Chara a reassuring smile. Actually, Chara had hoped this wouldn't take long but she couldn't just say no. "I guess." Chara muttered. Miss Lester had held Chara's hand all the way to her room which made her really uncomfortable but she continued to pretend that she was sad. They were sitting on Chara's bed and had been talking about her parents for about half an hour. Miss Lester kept saying things like how she should look forward to the future not back to her past and she shouldn't care about things she didn't know. Chara had no idea what to say next, she didn't actually care about her parents. "So you don't think going out with everyone else would make you feel better?" Miss Lester spoke up and gave her a small smile. "No." Chara answered hoping this conversation would be over soon. "But it might be a distraction and I promise you we'll have so much fun you'll forget all about the bad feelings this day brings for you." Chara could tell that Miss Lester really cared about her. "I would prefer not be around other children today. They- they can be so mean." Chara sobbed trying her best to make it look real. "What? Who is mean to you?" Miss Lester seemed surprised. "Uum- I don't-" "Please, I won't tell them that you said anything" Miss Lester took Chara's left hand in both of her hands and added, "If you don't tell me I can't make it better." Chara didn't know where this was going, she just kept on telling lie after lie. The most believable person to bully her was- "Betty." Chara said, avoiding eye contact. "That's what I suspected. Thanks for trusting me with this, Chara." She said while squeezing Chara's hand. "But I don't feel comfortable leaving you her all by yourself, crying in your room. I'm telling you, this will be a lot of fun!" Miss Lester gave her a big beautiful smile. "N-no! Please, I will be distracting myself with my new book! I can't go! I won't go! Please don't make me!" Chara broke into tears again and freed her left hand from Miss Lester to be extra dramatic. "Oh dear, I'm not making you do anything! I'm sorry, Chara. But please promise me that you'll tell me whenever you're feeling down or you have a problem. I'm always here for you. I want you to know that. You can always talk to me." She got up from the bed and added, "I have to leave with the others soon, maybe you'll change your mind but it's okay if you don't." And with that, she left Chara's room. Finally. She was alone. Chara wiped her tears away and got up to pick up the books that laid on the floor. She should feel bad about all that lying. Miss Lester was so nice and understanding, she had only been here for a month but Chara already liked her more than all the other adults. But she didn't feel guilty for lying to her. Chara got what she wanted and it felt good to get away with lying.

The others had gone out an hour ago. That's how long Chara had been staring at her pocket watch. She sat on the bed trying to make the watch fly through the room. It hadn't worked yet and she got more impatient by the minute. What was she doing wrong? She imagined the watch floating and concentrated so hard that her eyes were dry because she forgot to blink. She thought about what Tom had said: 'I'm just thinking about it. I command them to fly in my mind and with enough concentration, they start doing what I want them to do' Command? What did that even mean? She closed her eyes for a few seconds and tried to calm herself. "Float." Chara commanded.

Nothing happened.

"I SAID FLOAT YOU STUPID PIECE OF JUNK!" She was so angry and disappointed that she got up and kicked the chair so hard that it flew against the wall. Thankfully it didn't break. All her anger was concentrated on the watch even though she was the one not being able to make it float. She still blamed the watch. Tom had done it with books and rocks, maybe that was easier. She got a book from the desk and slammed it on the bed.

A few more hours flew by and she had tried it with every object in the room, she had gone outside to get sticks, stones and some flowers and she even tried gestures with her hand and muttering magic words she knew from books. Everyone was back from their trip through the neighbourhood and Chara could hear them chatting about how much fun they had. Chara felt like crying but they had just been called to dinner and she surely didn't want another awkward conversation with Miss Lester. Her room was a mess because she had kicked and thrown everything around in her rage. She wasn't as early as normally for dinner and a lot of children were already seated including Tom of course. He was in her favourite seat, she might never be able to sit at the end of that table again just because he liked it. This made her even angrier than she already was but she didn't say anything and just sat down next to him. "So how was your day?" He said with an unbearable amount of smugness. He probably heard her yelling and the noise of things hitting a wall. "Shut-" "Chara! Where have you been? We missed you!" Dennis Bishop had interrupted her and sat down next to her. "Dennis-" she started. "You normally love getting out of here right? Are you sick or something?" His brown eyes met her blue ones but she looked away quickly. "I wasn't feeling so good but now I'm better" she glanced at Tom for a second before she continued. "I slept the whole time you were gone"

Dinner had felt like it took ages to end but now she was finally back in her room. Dennis had kept talking about things Chara really didn't care about and she regretted sitting next to Tom because just his presence made her angry and maybe a little envious. How come he was so good at this and Chara wasn't? It just wasn't fair. Maybe he had caught her when she fell without realising it and she didn't have any powers after all. She was done with this day so she decided to go to sleep early, normally she would read until she was really tired. Chara didn't even bother cleaning up the mess she had made, she just changed into her sleepwear and went to bed.

Chara had a feeling of waking up. It was dark. She wasn't in her bed, she was standing. It was so dark she couldn't even see her hand when she held it right in front her face. There was a noise, maybe voices. She walked towards them. It got louder and louder with every step. It was more of a hissing, it was still too dark to see anything. She was in some kind of empty space. She continued to walk towards the hissing noise and suddenly there was screaming too. There was crying and screaming and it became so loud it was unbearable. Chara fell to her knees and tried to cover her ears but the mix of hissing, screaming and crying just got louder. She closed her eyes and yelled. Stop! Leave me alone! For some reason, she had the feeling that there was one person doing this to her. Suddenly she couldn't breathe anymore, she opened her eyes and tried to yell again but it didn't work. The noises were still unbearable to listen to. Just before she thought she would die it stopped. Everything stopped. It was quiet. Hello? Is someone here? She asked hopefully. Was it over? All of the sudden she could see something again. But the light wasn't coming from above or some kind of obvious source. It was her, it was like she was glowing. Pain. There was blood coming from every limb of her body. I was so painful that she couldn't stand anymore. She dropped into a puddle of her own blood. More and more cuts appeared on her body. 'helpless' 'sad' 'unnecessary' 'incapable' 'oblivious' She stopped reading them.

Chara called for help. But nobody came.

She literally jumped out of her bed. She was crying. This was the worst nightmare she had ever had. Chara was still scared, her heart was pounding very fast. There was a sudden movement next to her and she leapt back to her bed, she could make out fast objects flying through her room. The light was dim but she instantly recognised who was standing in the middle of the room. "Tom?!"

Final 31: Day 5! Top 10 Touken Ranbu Characters

I only play 3 games: Touken Ranbu, Ensemble Stars and Sengoku Blood so I might as well rank my favourite characters from there! xD

10. Houchou Toushiro - He’s such a little cutie who carries sweet snacks and he’s out to get yo wife which I think is hilarious - BUT I do feel bad because... I broke him a few months back and haven’t managed to get him back just yet *cries* I’m so sorry Houchou!

9. Horikawa Kunhiro - He has so much love for KaneSan which is just adorable and I think he’s superduper sweet and caring. I also have some bias towards Ogoe playing him who I think played him so adorably and he has the most adorable smile and his live outfit was the best! I love his relationship with Kanesan.

8. Shinano Toushiro - I probably know him the least out of all the Toushiro’s I’ve got on this list (and there’s a lot of them) BUT I really like his visuals, and I kept getting all his randoms at the AnimateCafe so I thought it was fate that I should start to like him xD Also his voice is really soft and nice. Plus, he got those shorts! I like when Touken Danshis wear shorts ;)

7. Hakata Toushiro - he cracks me up so much! First he’s got this awesome Kyuushuu-Ben/Accent going on - I’ve spent a lot of time around Hakata, Kyuushuu and Yamaguchi who have this kind of accent so it’s really nostalgic and normal for me to hear - and the things he yells sometimes are so stupid, like ‘JAPANESE BUSINESS MAN!’ xD Oh Hakata. AND now that Tsubasa is playing him too, that just makes me love Hakata even more! And one again; dos shorts tho.

6. Akita Toushiro - look at this little fluffy bundle of cuteness! I love his candy floss hair for a start! He got those shorts going on again. I just love kawaii characters, is that not obvious by now?! He too has a totally adorable voice! Also, I love his cute front bronze armour he has. And... have you seen his awakened clothing - or lack of it?! Okay, I’ll stop... finally, I desperately want Akazawa Tomorun to play him in TouStage! Seriously, who else could they pick?! Tomorun is the perfect Akita! Pssst... he is another that I unfortunately broke.. I’m so sorry! But I got him back easily enough *phew*

5. Nakigitsune - how cool is he?! I absolutely love his visual and his clothing and the mask he has going on! While we can all agree his fox is annoying as crap and talks the most, I still find his fox cute. Just wish he’d shut up so Naki could talk more because he sounds so sexy!. And remember his adorable moments in Hanamaru?! With the food! xD

4. Yamanbagiri Kunihiro - Y’all expected him to be my number one? Sorry to disappoint! In all honesty, I had only a little interest in him before I got into MakiChan and TouStage. In the game, he doesn’t necessarily stand out, but thanks to the stage, Hanamaru Anime, fanart, 4-koma-manga, ManbaChan’s personality has really flourished and it’s thanks to these outside-the-game formats that I started to genuinely like ManbaChan, and not just because MakiChan was playing him. I really do love ManbaChan now but in the beginning, I hardly had any opinion towards him. And I go the amazing opportunity to go and see ManbaChan in a museum earlier this year which was amazing because he really is pretty and beautiful xD Also he now constantly my Leader in the game; he’s always on my Hanamaru screen, he’s always in my Shutsuji groups; I really do love him now xD

BUT I do love some a tad more than I do ManbaChan. Time for my TOP 3!

3. Gokotai - haven’t we already established how much I prefer the kawaii charas in this game?! So isn’t it obvious that Gokotai would be here?! He’s so adorable and his voice is just the cutest! I love, love, love his voice! Especially when he’s been hurt in the game -- yes, I enjoy his pain a tad too much. And his cute tigers are ADORABLE! Remember how adorable they were in Hanamaru too?! I daren’t Kiwame my Gokotai JUST because I don’t want his tigers to grow up >.< Gokotai is just the cutest, and he’s such a worry wart and has a lack of confidence that I just want to cuddle him and help him become confident and not worry! Gokotai <3

2. Akashi Kuniyuki - I don’t know how many people will be surprised by this ranking or character being here. But if you’ve ever seen me out in Japan with my Touken bag, you’ll probably’ve noticed that I have at least half of one side of that bag full of Akashi stuff - I really do love him! I can’t really pinpoint why but I just love... he’s sexy yet a megane character, he has an amazing costume, I love the way he talks, he reminds me of Niki from K, I desperately want MakiChan to play him because of how similar Akashi looks to both Niki and another character MakiChan has played. And how could we forget how adorable he was in Hanamaru?! Helping his little brothers and the badger(?) out! So sweet!

1. Midare Toushiro - are you even surprised? I’ve loved this little shit since day one because he looks adorable, he IS cute, I love the whole guys-in-skirts thing, his voice is adorable and I really like his lines in the game! And I would give ANYTHING to be Midare in like TouStage - or even just have enough money and talent to cosplay him would make me happy xD if i can’t play him on stage then I do hope Hoshimoto Yuzuki plays him. And I love how Doudan first mistakes him for a girl *dies laughing as I remember* I want to see that scene so badly in TouStage.... that is a scene that happened right?! Not one I fantasized up right?! And his Awakened form is just.... I love it okay..

I’m done! That was so hard! The ranking was easy... the reasons or writing why was difficult! xD

QUESTION 1. What is your favorite scene in the comic so far and why?

I really like the most recent scene with Vander because I'm really looking forward to where it's going to lead to, it left me with a feeling of suspense

my favorite scene is probably the one with calen and folen. i think they add a lot of dynamic to camellia since before she was just grumpy tea witch. now shes grumpy tea witch with a past. plus i really loved that appearance change because just so many questions. tea party host plot twist: i actually hate tea. long live the coffee witch.

Here for the moment. Yeah, I liked the tea witch/coffee witch thing where they each made the offer and declined, I can totally relate to that. Coffee is just a no for me.

(I don't drink tea much either, but never coffee.)

another less scene but more moment i enjoyed was at the end of sweet tea where the spider is just using multiple arms to pour in more sugar than should ever be allowed in anything ever

QUESTION 2. As hinted by the name, one of the comic’s goals is to focus on all topics related to tea. What is one interesting fact that you learned about tea thanks to the comic? Of the episodes, which episode did you find to be the strongest in terms of how it delivered educational, tea related information? Alternatively, of the episodes, which one did you find most entertaining on how it tackled a certain topic of tea and tea brewing? What other tea brews or information are you hoping to see the comic tackle? Lastly, which of the brews presented so far is your favorite?

i have learned all the tea facts. as someone who doesnt like tea and thus doesnt make it, my knowledge equates to basically 0 on anything involved with making tea. like didnt even know there were different ways to flavor things. so all in all the comic has been educational as a whole to me

Funny thing about tea for me. I don't like hot tea. I definitely don't like iced tea. I'll tend to drop an ice cube into tea shortly before drinking it (it melts, admittedly diluting) to split the difference.

Why is Camellia so ardent about not going back to work with Calen? Also, why do you think Camellia changed her appearance to pay a visit to the two? What do you make of the scars depicted on Camellia’s hands? Besides Camellia, there is also her new assistant Vander. Do you believe that Vander can be trusted, or do you believe Calen will find out something shady about him? How will his continued presence affect Camellia and/or himself?

QUESTION 4. The story has its fair share of shenanigans while having a lot of future potential. Insofar, which character do you enjoy seeing the most in the comic and why? Are there any potential future scenarios you’re hoping to see them in? Are there any other sort of witch types you’re hoping exist in the world that could play a role in the comic? What about creatures? In the long term, do you think Camellia will keep her current tea brewing style of life, or will something come along and change it in contrast to all the shenanigans? Finally, in general, what other scenarios do you see popping up for the story given any story fact?

Vander also at first wasn't going to be a character actually. It was only after I realized I needed an every day man type character for reasons to exposition at did I create him.
