Batalha Monastery: The Main Door and the South Door

As we approach the Main Facade, we come across a fully sculpted portal, defined by an arc of curved and counter curved lines (conopial or carena) that ends in a pointed part where the shields of D. João I and D. Filipa de Lencastre. At the top appears Christ crowning the Virgin and only then, within the arch itself, separating these images from the others, does everything else appear.

This arch represents the Celestial Court and has six archs of broken arch that form the tympanum at the top where are the four evangelists with their attributes and Christ in Majesty.

Archivolts have 78 images separated from each other by canopies and which, as they approach the center, represent a higher degree in the hierarchy of the Church. They are as follows:

in the last two archivolts Santos, Santas and Martyrs,

next, the Kings of Israel, then the prophets,

in the second, the musician angels with the medieval musical instruments, such as the port organ, charamela, psaltery, bow viola, etc., 

and in the first, the seraphim, represented with its 3 pairs of wings and symbolizing the highest degree in the angelic hierarchy.

In the jambas of the portal we have 12 figures that stand out for their size, considerably larger than the others, they are the twelve Apostles, here also represented as the pillars of the Church, since they are "supporting" all other figures indicating clearly the symbology of “go and scatter in the 4 corners ...”

The South Gate of the Monastery also held on top the Coast of Arms of the King and Queen.

ダダフォニクスは結成当初の2018年は、MCの”火炎瓶テツ”とセレクター(DJ)の”Moofire”との3人編成でスタート。2019~2021年にかけて、サックス奏者の”稲田’Inatch’貴貞”、コントラバス奏者”白金’Gane’正之”、”阿部 光一郎”、ダンサーの”Nasty Nana”らが去来。 2021年暮現在、Nasty Nana、Moofire、Naokqi Doodahの3人編成にて、主にClub CACTUSで毎月開催されている”DADALOGUE LOUNGE”を拠点にライブを行っている他、 2022年春にリリース予定のアルバムを制作中。 現メンバーの”Moofire”は東京・赤羽出身。名門の都立小石川高校に入学するも大学進学はせず、’90年代初頭にジャマイカに渡り、ダンスホール・レゲエの洗礼を受け、東京にて女性のみのサウンド・クルー”Cherry Bomb”を結成し活動。2000年には新たに”Hemo & Moofire”を結成、セレクター&MC、プロデューサーとして、オリジナル”Escape”リディムを制作し、世界中でヒット。シンガー”Ken-U”の大ヒット曲”Doko”をリリースするなど、日本に於けるダンスホール・レゲエ・シーンを牽引。2006年には東京・乃木坂にて”Club CACTUS”を開店、レゲエを中心に全ての良い音楽に門戸を開き、国内外のメジャーからアンダーグラウンドの様々なアーティストが多数出演。2021年に開店15周年を迎えた。店主業、セレクター&MC業の他、自身のインディペンデント・レーベル”PW Records”を2013年に設立、”Rankin Taxi”など、多数のアーティストの作品制作リリースを重ねて来た。2015年からは、レゲエ・シーンで活躍する女性のみから成るダンスホール・レゲエ・バンド”Cherry ‘O’ B Band”を結成、ギター&MCを担当。2018年、ダダフォニクス結成に参加。 ダンサーの”Nasty Nana”は大阪・心斎橋出身。’90年代にアンダーグラウンド・ヒップホップ・レーベル”Spellbound”をNYCにて”DJ Ben The Ace”と立ち上げ、成功に導く。帰国後はダンサーとして独自の道を歩み、国内外の著名アーティストらとの共演を重ね、東京・六本木の老舗高級クラブ”Flamingo”のトップダンサーに昇り詰める。Moofireとは’90年代初頭からの仲。2019年にダダフォニクスに加入。

エアシンセ3台、インド製発信機など沢山の灰野さん所持のデジタル機器たちを10個のDIにつなぐ試みを経て、本番ノンストップ2時間の爆音即興。スピーカー四方からのサラウンドはガムランの様な体験でした。

SPREADの空間は灰野さんも気に入ったようで、早速第二回も画策中です。

灰野敬二のエレクトロニクスライブは中々貴重ですし、轟音だけでなくcharamelaやヴォイスなどもサラウンドのなかに現れると本当に覚醒するような祈りのような、ある美しさに対峙する大切な時間です。

여러 가지 수르나이와 관련 악기 1. 여러 가지 수르나이 수르나이의 재료로 선호되는 것은 향나무, 자두나무, 살구나무처럼 단단한 재질의 나무들이다. 나무를 원기둥 모양으로 깎아서 관을 만들고 여기에 지공을 뚫는다. 관 끝에는 원추 모양의 벨이 달려 있다. 수르나이의 종류는 보통 그 길이에 따라 나누며 길이는 각 지역마다 조금씩 다르다. 길이가 긴 카바 수르나이(Kaba surnay)와 이보다 짧은 큐라 수르나이(Cura surnay)로 나눈다. 지역에 따라서는 ‘중간’이란 뜻의 ‘오르타’(orta)를 붙여 카바와 큐라의 중간 정도 길이의 수르나이를 오르타카바 수르나이(Ortakaba surnay)라고 부르기도 한다. 카바 수르나이보다 더 긴 툼카바 수르나이(Tumkaba surnay)를 사용하는 지역도 있다. 보통 터키 서부지역에서는 긴 몸통의 카바 수르나이가 사용되며, 흑해 연안에서는 짧은 몸통의 큐라 수르나이를 주로 사용한다.아래의 그림은 긴 길이의 카바 수르나이이다. 터키의 메테르 군악대에서는 카바 수르나이를 사용한다.카바 수르나이 (지름 7.5cm, 길이61.5cm), 터키 메테르 군악대에서 연주되는 카바 수르나이 아래의 사진은 흑해 인근 코카서스 지방에서 사용하는 길이가 짧은 큐라 수르나이이다.큐라 수르나이 (지름 4.9cm, 길이31cm), 코카서스 지방 어떤 학자들은 수르나이의 앞에 붙이는 카바, 오르타, 큐라 등의 단어가 반드시 악기의 길이를 의미하기보다는 악기가 내는 소리의 크기를 나타낸다고 주장한다. 즉 카바는 거칠고 큰 소리를 의미하며, 오르타는 그 중간이고, 큐라는 작은 소리라는 것이다. 여러 지역에서 쓰이는 다양한 길이의 수르나이들은 모두 음량이 크고, 날카롭게 찌르는 듯한 콧소리(nasal sound)를 내며 축제나 중요한 행사에서 연주된다는 공통점이 있다. 9세기경 아르메니아의 서사시 [사순의 데이비드](The David of Sassoun)에는 수르나이가 추수 시기, 축제, 각종 야외 행사, 결혼식, 서커스의 외줄타기 공연 등에서까지 연주되었다는 기록이 남아 있다. 이 지역의 수르나이는 보통 2개가 쌍으로 연주된다. 이 경우, 한 악기는 선율을 연주하고 다른 한 악기는 드론 베이스를 연주한다. 2. 수르나이 관련 악기 수르나이는 ‘주르나’ 외에도 다양한 형태와 명칭으로 존재한다. 수르나이는 유럽에서 사용되는 숌(Shawm)에도 영향을 끼친 것으로 알려져 있으며 일본, 중국 등지까지 퍼졌다. 우리나라의 태평소, 중국의 수오나(Suona), 일본의 쟈루메라(チャルメラ)도 수르나이의 영향을 받은 악기로 볼 수 있다. 1) 수오나(Suona) 중국의 수오나는 수르나이처럼 높은 음을 내고 야외에서 연주되며 더블 리드를 사용한다. 특히 산둥성, 허난성 등 중국 북부 지방에서 많이 연주된다. 군악대의 악기로도 쓰이며 각종 축제, 결혼식, 장례식에서 다른 악기들과의 합주로 자주 연주된다. 악기의 관이 나무가 아닌 구리나 동으로 만들어졌다는 것이 수르나이와 다른 점이다.중국의 수오나 베를린 동아시아 박물관 소장 2) 샤라멜라(Charamela) 수르나이는 페르시아 지역에서 전쟁이나 교역을 통해 유럽 지역으로 전해졌다. 유럽에서는 오보에의 전신인 숌(Shawm)이 수르나이의 영향을 받은 것으로 볼 수 있다. 숌이라는 통칭 외에 독일에서는 샬마이(Schalmei), 에스파냐에서는 둘사이나(Dulzaina), 치리미아(Chirimia) 등 지역에 따라 다른 이름으로 불렀다. 포르투갈에서는 이 악기를 ‘샤라멜라’라고 불렀는데 이는 멀리 일본까지 전해져 수르나이의 확산에 일조했다. 이 악기들은 모두 수르나이처럼 각종 야외 행사에서 주로 사용되었다.포르투갈의 샤라멜라 3) 쟈루메라(チャルメラ) 포르투갈의 샤라멜라는 일본의 에도시대 초기에 나가사키를 방문한 포르투갈인에 의해 일본으로 유입되었다. 전파된 샤라멜라는 주로 거리에서 메밀국수 노점상들에 의해 손님을 끌기 위한 용도로 연주되었으며, 샤라멜라 대신 ‘쟈루메라’로 불렀다. 이러한 유래 때문에 쟈루메라는 일본에서 ‘메밀국수 노점상이 부는 악기’로 알려져 있다. 쟈루메라는 가부키의 공연에서도 반주악기로 사용된다. 오늘날에는 노점상들이 직접 악기를 연주하는 대신 이미 녹음된 쟈루메라의 음악을 틀어놓는다.일본의 쟈루메라 오사카 국립민속학박물관 소장 4) 치리미아(Chirimia) 라틴아메리카와 에스파냐 지역에서 16~17세기 무렵 샤라멜라와 비슷한 종류의 악기가 유입되었는데, 이 악기는 ‘치리미아’라는 명칭으로 불렸다. 치리미아는 더블 리드로 되어 있고 높은 음을 내는 야외 행사용 악기라는 점이 수르나이와 비슷하다. 이 악기는 드럼과 함께 가톨릭의 각종 종교행사에서 사용되며 타보르 파이프와 함께 연주되기도 한다. 사진에서 볼 수 있듯 관은 원통형이지만 벨 부분이 수르나이와 는 약간 다른 모양으로 되어있다.과테말라의 치리미아 가톨릭 행사에서 연주되는 치리미아와 드럼, 과테말라 아래의 악보는 에스파냐의 산타마리아 델파이(Santa Maria Del Pi)의 한 교구 자료실에서 발견된 18세기 중반의 치리미아 악보이며, 4대의 치리미아를 위한 합주곡이다. 위의 두 성부는 주로 높은 음역에서 선율을 연주하고 맨 아래 성부는 지속저음을 연주한다.치리미아의 악보, 18세기 중반 에스파냐 산타마리아 델파이 初不得三(초부득삼) 첫번에 실패(失敗)한 것이 세 번째는 성공(成功)한다는 뜻으로, 　꾸준히 하면 성공(成功)할 수 있다는 말

Música dos séculos XVI e XVII editada em CD pela Charamela da Universidade de Coimbra

A Charamela da Universidade de Coimbra, sob direção do maestro Francisco Relva Pereira, edita na próxima semana o seu primeiro CD, que inclui composições dos séculos XVI e XVII, além do “Hino Académico” oitocentista, de José Medeiros. A existência deste agrupamento musical remonta ao século XV, mas “grande parte do repertório [mais antigo] desapareceu”, existindo todavia “algumas peças dispersas que se encontram na Biblioteca Geral” da instituição, disse à agência Lusa Francisco Relva Pereira. Entre as peças do repertório histórico, foi identificada uma do português José Maurício (1752-1815), da Universidade de Coimbra. Na música antiga, charamela correspondia a um instrumento de sopro, de madeira, antepassado dos atuais clarinetes. Para o CD, editado pela Framart, da Associação António Fragoso (AAF), foram gravadas 22 obras de diferentes compositores europeus, sobretudo da Renascença tardia e do Barroco inicial (séculos XVI, XVII), mas também da síntese mais tardia do século XVIII (Georg Frideric Handel e Johann Christian Bach), além do “Hino Académico”, de autoria de José de Medeiros (1827-1907). A atual Charamela da Universidade de Coimbra é composta por dez músicos. Segundo o maestro, “esta é a forma mais tradicional” do agrupamento, “que se mantém desde os primórdios do século XX”, semelhante à existente no século XIX. A Charamela foi no entanto reorganizada em 2015, com a atual composição, depois de ter sido composta por um grupo de músicos recrutados na Banda do Exército, estacionada em Coimbra, entre meados da década de 1990 e 2006, e por um quinteto (dois trompetes, dois trombones e uma tuba), de 2006 a 2015, “o que quebrou a tradição”.

Ramen: “The origin of ramen is unclear. Some sources say it is of Chinese origin.[7][8][9] Other sources say it was invented in Japan in the early 20th century.[10][11][12]The name ramen is the Japanese pronunciation of the Chinese lamian (拉麵).[13] Until the 1950s, ramen was called shina soba (支那そば, literally "Chinese soba") but today chūka soba (中華そば, also meaning "Chinese soba") or just Ramen (ラーメン) are more common, as the word "支那" (shina, meaning "China") has acquired a pejorative connotation.[4]By 1900, restaurants serving Chinese cuisine from Canton and Shanghai offered a simple ramen dish of noodles (cut rather than hand-pulled), a few toppings, and a broth flavored with salt and pork bones. 'DADALOGUE'のfree style集団即興演奏(Dadalogue Collective)は、テーマやモチーフなど全く無い状態で、集ったアーティストが互いの音や空気感に反応しつつ出発、音が自然に融合しながら展開して行く、完全に自由な集団即興演奏ですが、今回より新たにリーダー(複数人有り)を立て、その人が発するトラックや楽器演奏に全員が反応して行くと一体どんな音楽が聴こえて来るか？！

そんな実験を行います。

従来の完全自由集団即興演奏も引き続き行います。

自身の音のみならず、他の全ての奏者の音も常に聴こえる音量を基本的に維持するのが唯一のルールの様な物です。

演奏の流れから全体が自然に轟音カオス状態になるのは有りかと思いますが、それはOKです。

これらを留意しながら進行して行くと非常に美しいサウンドが必ず生まれます。
