After many, many pondering and switching editing program, I can finally, finally, finish this intended video and cross this out of my WIP list. Not much to say but this song is one of my favorite vocaloid song. It just came on the right time when I have imposter syndrome and writer block.
The cover used and English translyrics source are in the video description.

Bonus Features: The Swimmer (1968)
Our current Movie of the Month, 1968’s The Swimmer, stars Burt Lancaster as an aging suburban playboy who, on a whim, decides to “swim home” by visiting a string of friends’ backyard pools across his wealthy East Coast neighborhood.  It’s a boldly vapid premise that New Hollywood button-pusher Frank Perry (along with his then-wife Eleanor Perry, who wrote the majority of his early screenplays)…

(Stéphane Bernard) Observe with what elegance most of the guests are wearing the republican cocarde! Among all the French symbols, the Emperor has chosen to honor Liberty, so dear to our Nation. What a magnificent way to celebrate our shared heritage. (Other journalist) Indeed, the empire has preserved many remnants, if I may say, of the French Revolution. (Stéphane Bernard) Emperor Napoleon III once said that the empire is "the reign of liberty, preserving the moral influence of the Revolution, and diminishing the fears it inspired." I believe that sums up Simpartism quite well.

(Stéphane Bernard) Look, the Emperor and Empress of Pierreland, also wearing la cocarde. (Other journalist) Always so radiant. It is said that today the roles have reversed, with Emperor David, once protected by Napoleon IV, now striving to watch over Napoleon V. (Stéphane Bernard) Absolutely, Their Imperial Majesties share a very strong relationship. In fact, when he was still the imperial prince, Napoleon V spent many hours coordinating the maritime alliance between our two countries.

(Stéphane Bernard) Queen Diana of Simdonia and her consort, who welcomed Emperor Napoleon V on his first ever state visit. They are followed by King Arthur of the United Kingdom of Prydain and Voltadermar.

Philippa of England, Queen of Norway, Denmark and Sweden
Philippa of England was the youngest daughter and last child of Henry of Lancaster and Mary de Bohun, Earl and Countess of Derby, and was born on, or shortly before, 1 July 1394, when her mother died from complications in childbirth. Little is known of Philippa’s early childhood but when her father usurped the throne in 1399, becoming Henry IV, her future changed dramatically. No longer the youngest daughter of an earl, she was now a princess.
The new king almost immediately began searching for marriage alliances for his two daughters. 1401 saw Henry enter into marriage negotiations with Margrete of Denmark for Philippa to marry Margrete’s adoptive son and heir, Erik of Pomerania. Like Henry, Margrete was hoping for an alliance to strengthen her domestic position and that of the fledgling Kalmar Union of Norway, Denmark and Sweden. It wasn’t until 1405 that the marriage was formally agreed upon and in December, Philippa was proclaimed Queen of Norway, Denmark and Sweden. In August 1406, the 12-year-old Philippa sailed from England in August 1406. She married Erik at the cathedral of Lund, and her coronation soon followed. Famously, Philippa is the first documented European princess to wear white at her wedding.
She spent the next three years at Kalmar Castle in Sweden, the first year under the guidance of Katarina Knutsdotter (the granddaughter of Saint Birgitta of Sweden), and probably owing in no small part to her youth, Philippa remained in the sidelines of rule until Margrete’s death in 1412. She retained close ties to Sweden, serving as Erik’s de facto regent there, and was the only queen of the Kalmar Union to ever achieve popularity in Sweden. Of particular note is her patronage of Vadstenna Abbey, the motherhouse of the Bridgettine Order. She often stayed there when in Sweden, was a generous patron, and petitioned the pope multiple times on the Order's behalf, even enlisting the support of her brother, Henry V of England. In 1425, Philippa donated a choir dedicated to St. Anne, where she was later buried. This may have had particular significance for Philippa, as she had no surviving children..
Philippa was deeply involved in the rule of all three kingdoms of the Kalmar Union. In 1420, demonstrating Erik’s trust in her, it was decided that she would serve as regent to his heir, Bogislaw of Pomerania, should the marriage remain childless, and her widow’s pension would effectively give her a ‘queendom’ in Sweden. In 1423, Erik went on pilgrimage and Philippa served as his regent, with all power that entailed, until his return in 1425. She also obtained the resources and support Erik needed for his war against the Hanseatic League. Indeed, it was Philippa who organised the defence of Copenhagen against the bombardment of the Hanseatic League in 1428 to great acclaim.
In late 1429, Philippa, apparently in good health, travelled to Sweden to secure further support for the war against the Hanseatic League. She was staying in Vadstena Abbey when she fell seriously ill and died on the night of 5 and 6 January 1430, possibly following a stillbirth. Philippa was remembered almost universally favourably, a reputation that was surely deserved.

"I’ve spent a few years writing songs with little to no sense of direction, I think I’ve started to find my own sound again." Charlotte Wessels on restarting after Delain, dream collabs and why there are no guilty pleasures
Charlotte Wessels reinvented herself as a solo artist after leaving Delain in 2021
Tumblr media
Since her shock departure from Delain back in 2021, symphonic metal star Charlotte Wessels has been working hard on a solo album, The Obsession, an ambitious record that Charlotte says showcases her “creative sweet spot”.
Not only that, but she’s also been making monthly creations for fans and supporters of her Patreon, rescued a very cute dog and released two records via the Tales From Six Feet Under banner. Good grief. We put your questions to Charlotte about the split, finding inspiration in nature and, erm, turtles.
How interested are you in experimenting with genres, and which would be the most unusual one you’d like to try? Clockworkshrimp, Instagram
“I’m very interested in experimenting with genres. Basically my last two albums consist of songs that vary wildly in genres: pop songs, fully electronic songs, metal songs… I even did a [dance subgenre] hardstyle track! I’ve spent a few years writing songs with little to no sense of direction, and I think I’ve started to find my own sound again. I’m in my creative sweet spot, but I’d love to do something classical or neoclassical.”
Pick one person to: record a song, have a coffee, go on holiday with. Jessica Lleonart, Facebook
“Ooh! I’d love to record a song with Trent Reznor, I love his work. For a coffee, I think Amanda Palmer; I love her and The Dresden Dolls. She really inspired me on my entire journey with Patreon and the art of asking for things, so I’d love to thank her. For a holiday I’d pick my partner and this sleepy dog back here. He’s a rescue dog called Legolas but we call him Lego.”
Do you have other talents? Tonykumar7061, Instagram
“Back in the day I was always hesitating about whether I would go in the direction of visual arts or music, and art is still something that I do every now and then just for relaxation. I love painting but I don’t know whether I would call it a talent! I also love writing, and gardening.”
How do you handle creative blocks? Babs86, Instagram
“I don’t want to say this out loud, because I feel like I’ll jinx it… but I haven’t had serious creative blocks yet. Especially now I’ve really trained myself so I have to release a song every month for Patreon. It might sound really crude, but if you’re ever stuck, just lower the bar! Don’t think about writing something amazing, just think about writing anything. Then even if it sucks there’ll be a little part that’s nice, and you can polish it and improve it.”
Was it difficult to adapt after leaving Delain? Skinny_Vamp_Official, Instagram
“Yeah, definitely. It was my life for 16 years, so of course there was that moment of ‘Now what?’ I knew I couldn’t fall into a black hole, I couldn’t dwell on it. I didn’t allow myself to as I didn’t want to let people down. It just took a lot of adaptation, but I’m so glad I had that safety net already of my fans. I don’t think I could have started again otherwise. I feel like I have to reintroduce myself now, the tension and the anticipation is so high. It all feels brand new again.”
What guided you to write a novel for [side-project] Phantasma’s The Deviant Hearts? Would you ever be tempted to write another? Antonio Olivares Diaz, Facebook
“The idea was to do a concept record. When you think of a concept album, you have to think about what the story is and usually let the music tell that story. It kept growing more and more detailed, so I basically bluffed and said, ‘You know what, I’ll just write a novella for it!’ It was fun and challenging and I might do it again one day.”
When did you first hear about Sophie Lancaster [who inspired Delain song We Are The Others]? Simon Parrock, Facebook
“We were working on the album [also titled We Are The Others] in Stockholm in 2011, I think. I saw an animated video about her story and it grabbed me. I knew this was the story that we had to tell, because this is what happens when we judge books by their covers. I reached out to the Sophie Lancaster Foundation, because when you’re writing about an actual person who has family and friends grieving her loss, you have to be so sensitive, so I got permission from her family and we’ve worked with the foundation since.”
What’s on your playlist right now? Evim0204, Instagram
“A lot of Vola! We just announced a tour with them and I’m a big fan. I’m not afraid to admit that I saw that tour announcement and I slid into their DMs like, ‘May I suggest me to support?’ If you don’t ask you don’t get!”
How do you feel when people compare your music to bands like Nightwish, Within Temptation or Lacuna Coil? Tiago Ferraz, Facebook
“I feel good about it, I love all of those bands! That’s great company to be in and it’s an accurate description. Anything is better than just lumping us in as ‘female-fronted metal’, you know? As musicians everyone likes to think, ‘Oh my god, I’m so unique’ but genres and comparisons help people who might be looking for similar things to find you. It’s a good thing.”
What is your relationship with plants and nature, and does it help in your creativity? Renaud Bongiovanni, Facebook
“I always find inspiration in nature. Sometimes I organise little writing camps for myself – I’ll go somewhere in a cabin in the woods. I’m so much happier when the sun is out, and when I can plant my little seedlings.”
Hammer: Has it helped with your mental health at all?
“Yes! A few years ago I was in therapy and taking SSRIs [Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors, a commonly prescribed antidepressant]. I was learning about how certain connections in your brain have to regrow. I was very frustrated because I wanted progress to be faster, and at the same time I had these little plant cuttings and I was trying to regrow their roots in water. I visualised my own process mirrored to the little cuttings, and now they’re fully grown plants. It’s hope, it’s patience, it’s beauty.”
Who are your biggest influences outside of metal? Simon Edward McMurdo, Facebook
“I love Sia, her voice gives me instant comfort. Florence And The Machine, Kate Bush, Tori Amos – my girls!”
Was The Exorcism video inspired by Epica’s visuals? Will you collaborate with Simone Simons again? Baryn Abrahadabra-Vettel, Facebook
“In a way it was, because we wore amazing wigs for the Sirens - Of Blood And Water video we collaborated on, and I wore the same model in a different colour for The Exorcism. Simone sings on a song called Dopamine on the new album. I originally released a version of it online and Simone messaged me saying it was her favourite song, so I asked her to sing on it for the album!”
What was the most challenging and most rewarding aspect of filming The Exorcism music video? Nivi Morales, Facebook
“I always tell myself I’m going to do it differently, but somehow whenever we record a video I end up wearing something super-uncomfortable and end up being super-cold. I had to lay on the floor with my bare back. The outfit was stunning but it was slightly too tight on me, so the next day I had scabs on my collarbones from how it was digging into my skin.”
What was it like posing for Tim Tronckoe’s portraits book? Bindi Eyre, Facebook
“It was wonderful. He worked on The Exorcism video too, and the portraits book set the wheels in motion for that. He had so many ideas and I love it. He’s very encouraging and enthusiastic and always an optimistic creative presence.”
Do you like turtles? Larue Joseph, Facebook
“I love all animals! Yes to turtles, with their shells, having your own house with you all the time? How wonderful! As well as my dog, I have two crows that follow me on my walks – having a crow army would be my dream. I feed them every so often and it’s working!”
Are you nervous to go back on tour with a full band for the first time since the end of Delain? Eric Jacques, Facebook
“Sort of?! I only just realised how long it’s been since we’ve done a full tour, and this is an intense tour; there’s a run of 10 shows without a day off and I’m not getting any younger! I’m always super-careful on tour – I don’t drink, I eat healthy. I try to get as much sleep as possible, but I’m mostly just really excited to go on tour with the boys again.”
What guilty pleasures have you got in your music collection? Eddie Sinner, Facebook
“I don’t have any! I’ll never be ashamed of my Spice Girls album or anything like that. No guilty pleasures – only true pleasures.”
The Obsession is out September 20 via Napalm. Charlotte Wessels tours the UK from November 22.

Rant coming. I am tired of hearing 👑The PoW has to fund the harkles. The Duchy of Cornwall only funds the PoW and his family. This means ONLY The Prince and Princess of Wales, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. The Duchy of Lancaster (King) will fund all other family members. P Andrew was the late QEII's son and she funded him not Charles, now Harry as the King's son will be funded out of the Duchy of Lancaster. This is for mm, squad, or reporters who lurk on Tumblr for a story
Great rant! The problem is people speak on things they know nothing about…..and then people believe them…the fact is…Harry is not a working royal….he isn’t getting anything….❤️

Bear Grylls hosts first Gone Wild Festival for charity in Norfolk. Kate and Wills enjoy a Nerf battle with Louis, George and Charlotte
Louis yells 'Nerf or nothing, let's do this!' amid the toy guns and smoke bombs
Playful Princess of Wales herself gets involved in fun shoot-out | Daily Mail Online
'The Prince and Princess of Wales, along with their three children, arrived with friends and family. They asked if we could provide a high-intensity, non-stop game of Nerf fun, and of course, Norfolk Nerf did what we do best.'
She says the Waleses, alongside her own family and members of the public, were running around the premise with Nerf guns and smoke bombs.
'My sons Euan Barron, Jenson Barron, and Junior Barron had the ultimate honour of playing Nerf Wars with Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and the adorable Prince Louis,' she said.
The Gone Wild Festival at Holkham Hall, Norfolk (pictured) caters to 640 children each day to play Nerf wars,' Ms Barron recalled.
Last weekend's Nerf warriors, with toy guns and smoke bombs in tow, had 'face paint on' and all 'charged around together'
The Waleses, (not pictured) alongside members of the public, were reportedly running around the premise with Nerf guns and smoke bombs
'The Princess of Wales grabbed a Nerf gun, ran around, and played stuck in the mud with her children. Prince Louis was shouting with glee, 'Come on, Nerf or nothing. Let's do this!' I'm still in awe of what a memorable experience we had.'
Shell Lancaster, who also attended last weekend's festival, said she saw William and Kate help their children 'go down the wall'.
Ms Barron added that the Nerf warriors had 'face paint on' and all 'charged around together'. They also played the children's tag game stuck in the mud.
She revealed the family had 'requested no protocol' and 'just wanted a wholesome family day like any other normal family'.
The small business owner says it was a day 'my boys will never forget' and has offered her 'coolest, kindest regards' to the royals.
Excitable and 'unforgettable' Louis ran around yelling 'Nerf or nothing, let's do this!', according to Norfolk Nerf Parties boss Georgina Barron

News of the family outing comes just days after the Waleses sent a heartfelt message to British Olympians ahead of the end of the Paris Olympics last weekend.
In a rare sighting of the Princess of Wales, who is undergoing cancer treatment, the royal couple enlisted a string of stars - including Snoop Dogg - for their uplifting surprise message.
Kate was positively glowing in the 80-second Instagram video as William stood by her side and sported an unusually rugged look, with an unshaven appearance.
In the short clip, Kate said: 'From all of us watching at home congratulations to Team GB.'
Kate and William congratulate Team GB for amazing Olympics performance

David Antonio Kucinski, South Carolina inmate 373636, born 1995, incarceration intake August 2017 at age 22, scheduled for release March 2046
Murder, Robbery, Use of a Firearm in the Commission of an Illegal Act
In August 2017, the ringleader and shooter in a botched drug robbery turned killing was sentenced to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty just minutes before his trial.
David Kucinski, 22, pleaded guilty to murder, armed robbery and possession of a gun during a violent crime in the death of Randy Tran, 20, of Fort Mill, SC. Tran’s body was found outside his car in April 2016, in a wooded part of Lancaster County, near the York County line. Tran had been shot, but a witness saw a man later identified as Kucinski taking Tran’s body from the trunk, then fleeing.
Kucinski and Tran were classmates at Nation Ford High School in Fort Mill as teens. Kucinski shot Tran once in the back of the head, prosecutors said.
Text messages between Kucinski and others, recovered by police, showed the drug robbery plot and that Kucinski believed he would have to kill Tran to cover it up. Kucinski was caught at a motel in Charlotte, NC days later, after a two-state "manhunt" in both Carolinas. He has been jailed without bond since his arrest.
Kucinski pleaded guilty under what is called an "Alford" plea, where a defendant accepts the punishment of a guilty plea while admitting he likely would be convicted, yet does not have to admit guilt.

The Lancaster County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help in finding two people who viciously attacked an Indian Land Chipotle employee earlier this month.
Jamel Bernard Williams, 36, and Kayla Nicole Pyle, 34,  both from Charlotte, were identified as suspects, according to the sheriff's office.
Deputies responded to the violent encounter just after 9 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 10 along Charlotte Highway where they spoke to the 20-year-old victim and witnesses. Both suspects had left the scene when deputies arrived.
The victim told deputies that an argument over an order arose between her and Pyle before she decided to end her shift early and go home. The victim said as she was leaving through one exit, Williams then entered the restaurant from another exit, pushed her on the floor and began hitting her, pulling her hair, and jerking her around. Pyle soon joined Williams, hitting the victim.
A male juvenile was with Pyle and Williams, but he has not been identified and will not be charged, according to deputies.
The victim said she was in pain but declined treatment at the scene, according to deputies.  She sought treatment on her own after the incident.  The extent of her injuries is unknown.
A witness gave police a description of the Dodge Charger the suspects left in and a tag number.  Store video and video taken by a witness were also provided.
Williams and Pyle were identified with the assistance of personnel of the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department, deputies said.
Arrest warrants were issued for Williams and Pyle on Wednesday, Dec. 27, deputies said. Williams is charged with first-degree assault and battery, and Pyle is charged with second-degree assault and battery.
“I don’t know what was said between Pyle and the victim, but the victim was leaving for home and was chased down from behind by Williams and attacked in the dining room of the restaurant,” Sheriff Barry Faile said.  “The assault was completely unjustified.  I hope the victim has recovered from her injuries.  I appreciate the help we got from Charlotte Mecklenburg PD to identify Williams and Pyle, and I encourage them to turn themselves in and let the judicial system run its course in this case.”
Anyone with information about this or any other case should call the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office at 803-283-3388 and select Option 4.
