HAPPY 4TH ANNIVERSARY, TWISTED-WONDERLAND!

It has been a hot minute since I've made something related to TWST, so let's go back for a sec, okay? Can't believe it has been four years, eh?

Cyberpunk Dead Boy has become one of my favorite PRSK commission song, so of course I want to make something out of it. With it's lyrics referencing with the current creative content, I feel like this song is perfect for Vil. So, we're bringing back the VDC gang once again.

I don't know if this will be a tradition because this is two years in a row I made something WxS and TWST related for the game anniversary. I actually had another plan, but that had to be shelved for a sec.

Also, can you tell that I suck in rapping? This is probably the hardest thing I've tried to make a translyrics of with its face pace and rapping. So, apologies if it sucks. (Also I made this before the official English version. I finished rendering it exactly one hour before Maiki P posted the official one)

EDIT: As usual, there's one slide that has the wrong lyrics, so I changed it.

Watched the first 2 episodes of "The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart" on Amazon and they did such a great job adapting this!!! :D I read it but it's another thing to see it on screen and with such a great cast. So many twists and how all these secrets get revealed. It is hard to watch at times but this is Alice's story and her learning the true history of her family and overcoming everything she goes through and learning the language of flowers and their meanings. The soundtrack is really good too. I'll watch 3 later tonight but then it's weekly for the other 4 episodes.

Then I have to add being a fan of LOTR/"Rings of Power" seeing Charlie Vickers in this role is such a prep for how we're going to see him fully as Sauron in season 2 and beyond. His character Clem in this is so similar and can go from terrifying to charming and loving and back in an instant. You get why Agnes fell in love with him, as did others, and we even have a child actor playing a younger version of him in flashbacks on the flower farm with his mom. He's also extremely gifted in woodworking just like Sauron with blacksmithing and jewelry, and uses that to charm over his wife, daughter, mother, and all the people in his life. Plus, it's mentioned he wasn't like that as a child by his sister Candy similar to how Mairon was "the admirable" and changed later and if I'm remembering right Melian (the fellow Maiar that a lot consider to be like his sister and also was associated with Yavanna like he was) said that she could still forgive him because of who he was before.

Then this little girl playing younger Alice looks and feels so much like Celebrían and how we've written her in our fics. She associates fire with her dad and water with her mom, also thinking of the selkie myth to describe her parents and that her mom needed to go back to her people in the water but her dad wouldn't let her go. Then her being named for "Alice in Wonderland" and then thinking of how Celebrían went to Valinor after her tragedy where Yavanna, Melian, and the rest were all there. There's so much already I can see us Haladriel shippers using for edits, gifs, fics, and fanvids. It's surreal sometimes for me how I pictured her and them and then now seeing this and there's likely to be more.

Ooh boy. That's gonna be a long list, and that's even if I only include ones in English (...yes, there are also a number of Swedish songs that I have on my Johnrik playlist).

Just the ones that come to mind, plus some from checking my massive playlist:

I Knew You - Future Islands (I'm half-convinced this was written for Johnrik, it's perfect. The last chorus especially pretty much sums up the lake scene in Report to the Mirror, and it breaks my heart: "And now we'll leave it all said and done / What did you think he'd find? / Something in the cold of your eyes said "goodbye" / I knew you / I knew you as you were, not as you are / You knew me too / But I'm not the same, it's not the way / the way you used to")

Almost every Lord Huron song fits Johnrik, actually, I highly recommend getting into them if you want Johnrik music lol.

You're Somebody Else - Flora Cash (Got this one from a WONDERFUL Johnrik fanvid by my friend Lucia. God's Plan - CHVRCHES (This is another John POV one: "You belong with me / And tonight, at least we can die in silence / Is it worth it now?")

Talking To Myself - Linkin Park (This one is for that interim after John kills Roxanna but before Henrik finds out about it, when they're slowly growing apart and John is losing his mind and Henrik doesn't know how to help him. It also fits for the lake scene, when Henrik is trying to convince John that he can help him. "I admit I made mistakes / But yours might cost you everything / Can't you hear me calling you home? / Oh, all the walls that you keep building / All this time that I've spent chasing / All the ways that I keep losing you / And the truth is, you turn into someone else / You keep running like the sky is falling / I can whisper, I can yell / But I know, yeah I know, yeah I know: I'm just talking to myself"

The "I'm just talking to myself" line also works on two levels for this pairing, given the identity-blurring, so that's another plus.)

i love you, i love you - JUNG (Bonus points for this one because one of the band members is actually named Henrik! This is another Henrik-after-John's-death one. Brave - JUNG (This one reminds me of John and Henrik's relationship in the weeks between Roxanna's death and John's death. HAPPY 3RD ANNIVERSARY, TWISTED-WONDERLAND!

Decided to have some fun and try to remix TUYU’s What Sort of Ending Are You Wishing For? with Wonderland x Showtime’s cover of it. I was originally going to use this for another project, but decided “why not mark the lyrics early and make it a color coded lyrics vid like last time?” Then I just slapped the first year into it because why not, there’s six of them.

I’m actually really proud with the English translyrics and the song remix. Tried to make it singable, but it might be a tongue-twister. I gotta learn how to rhyme more.

HAPPY 3RD BIRTHDAY TO TWISTED-WONDERLAND: OUR PRECIOUS TREASURE!

In my defense, the idea came to me in the afternoon two days ago and I started working on it without any idea. I had things to do on Sunday, but managed to finish it. But then, Tumblr screwed up, thus this video is uploaded two days late. Sorry, it wasn’t my best video, but I’m still proud of it.

Three years ago, I uploaded the first chapter of TW:OPT. And now we’re four or five chapters away from finishing it. It was a long journey but it’s finally come to an end.

From the bottom of my heart, I want to say thank you to everyone who has been with me through this journey. I do want to talk more, but I’m saving it for a full confession later in the finale. For now, I hope you can enjoy the video.
