oooo i can use this for fun facts !!! grace fun facts!!!

- shortest of the group. ruth is exactly an inch taller. there'll be a scene canonizing this fully pretty early on

- her memorial to the other three is a stainless steel necklace. she refuses to get a tattoo. steph custom ordered it, and several copies just in case.

- horrible horrible migraines, completely unrelated to her newfound connection to blinky. still blinky-related tho

- fainting issues post summoning. theyre mild compared to steph and pete.

- the only way she can regulate herself for several weeks post-summoning is overstimulating her senses. im talking candles, scented soap, sour candy, alternating ice and heat, four bajillion songs and videos and movies, etc. pete has to leave the building.

- very much falls into dressing up and over-buying clothes. steph gives her a credit card that her dad had set to refill monthly. she becomes a big outfit planner and wears items till theyre unsaveable. it takes maybe a month and a half per item

- also big into research. she becomes doctor-level at just about every body or medicine related topic she can. its how she knows filing petes horns could be dangerous.

What if Grace joined the cheer squad to sort of ‘infiltrate’ it and get it shut down because she thinks the routines and the chants are school inappropriate and a bad influence, but discovered she actually really loved it and was good at it? What if the other cheerleaders warmed up to her over time and she had real friends who like and accept her for who she is for the first time in her life? I could totally see them having fun gossiping and shit talking people with her. (Stacy: “Did you hear Steph has a thing for the bowtie kid?” Grace: “Oh, Peter? You’ll never BELIEVE what he did during the MEAP, it’s sickening! They really need to do away with that test.” Stacy: “Ugh, right? I hate tests!”) What if she slowly fell for Brenda, but was super angsty about it because she loves and cares about cheer and doesn’t want to ruin things by getting involved with the captain? What if instead of canceling homecoming, she convinced the whole squad to go as friends and not with dates so there’s less chance for funny business? What if she ended up slow dancing with Brenda and maybe sharing a little kiss anyway (which totally 100% wasn’t the rest of the squad’s plan all along)? What if the Chasitys were ambivalent about it when they first realize she gave up the undercover thing and started doing it for real, but still supported her and eventually fully came around and became her biggest cheerleaders? Or what if the Chasitys were both cheerleaders in high school and they had family bonding time teaching Grace their moves??

favorite thing about them: I like how enthusiastic her character is!! She's so bouncy :]

least favorite thing about them: I don't know if there's much I dislike about her D: not in a "i think she's perfect" type of way, but I just acknowledge her flaws and quirks and see them as part of her and that's what makes her a well written character ^_^

favorite line: "She's bisexual and dead, where else would she be!"

brOTP: Her and Richie. I think their small interactions are fun, especially in workin's boys :]

OTP: Holyphone/Lautity :3 They live in my brain rent free

nOTP: Grace doesn't have that many (popular) ships, and I'm pretty alright with all of them. but maybe Grace & pete? (usually seen when it's a polycule with pete x steph x grace) I think they could both date Steph but they definitely wouldn't date each other

random headcanon: she makes bracelets! both with beads and with threads [and generally likes arts & crafts]

unpopular opinion: not sure how unpopular this is, and also it's a bit more about Grace's family than her specifically, but I think Grace's parents truly and genuinely love her. Yes they're religious, and the way they are religious may be harmful, but the Chasities as people love their daughter so much. Sure, things might change if she tells them she killed people, but I think they'd try to understand and wouldn't instantly turn against her.

YAYAYAYAYAYAY so first things first jane is very, very alive. she's a little fucked up from the crash but shes chillin.

jane is a therapist. petes therapist, specifically. she's the second outside person the three confide in about everything happening.

jane is both a rock and a bullet. shes a lot like ted, actually. she helps and harms the three. she doesnt understand whats happening to them, so she gives them bad advice on accident. she tells steph she has an eating disorder and should monitor her food intake as well as bpd, she tells pete he has ptsd and ocd, she tells grace she has autism (technically true but diagnosed for the wrong reasons) and ocd. but she also teaches them how to deal with intrusive thoughts and how to handle panic attacks. she does good and bad.

she's also a rock for brooke, who isn't her patient. she's a mom figure for brooke just as tom is a dad. thats. mostly unimportant tho it just brings me joy.

she's also got the worst of pokeys anger a lot of time. shes a plaything for him, similar to paul in canon. he just likes her. so she has a LOT of problems stemming from him. she's profoundly deaf, has issues with her voice, cant recognize or remember voices, shes completely tone deaf and will never hit a good note in anything, shes really clumsy, and her legs joints (knees esp) are BAD

shes just. so so interesting and so so important to the story idk. i have SO much to say on her i genuinely could go on and type for hours rn

20. Who holds a grudge the longest? Definitely Grace. She's the type of person to believe in pinky promises whole-heartedly (or really any type of promise) and if someone breaks that promise Grace genuinely sees it as a major breach of trust

22. Who gets more easily embarrassed? Probably Grace, makes sense with her upbringing and all that.

I think Grace tries to keep up this sort of perfect persona, so whenever something breaks through that front she definitely gets very embarrassed about it because then people are seeing all the things that are "wrong" with her.

Also a lot of her romantic feelings are repressed, therefore whenever anyone expresses affection towards her she either rejects it (ex: "I am only one man's girl Max, and his name is Jesus Christ" and "We're only 18!") or if a comment she receives is more genuine or from a person Grace is actually interested in, then she definitely gets flustered/embarrassed and loses any train of thought she had and just stares like a stunned deer :3 Steph absolutely loves flustering Grace, she just looks too cute <3

30. What is their favorite place to kiss the other? Grace likes to give Steph cheek kisses, and she has to be standing on her toes to reach :] (tall Steph & short Grace propaganda)

I think Steph also likes cheek kisses, but she also likes sneaking up behind Grace and kissing the back of her neck, which usually makes Grace jump and Steph finds that amusing hehe :]

Hello I saw this just before I was going to go to sleep and then laid awake Thinking About It for the next 30 minutes so here I am!

Under the cut because there's a LOT!!

Richie

He layers just as badly as in canon

So in my head it goes:

Long sleeved stripey T-shirt

then a graphic short tee on top (which eventually becomes a band T-shirt nearer then end of senior year when Steph joins the band! (And when I design the logo lmao))

THEN a zip up hoode

I'm not done

Then a leather jacket he found at a garage sale (it's slightly too big for him normally so it fits over everything else.)

Ripped jeans + belt chains

He has one of those goth belts with all the metal eyelets in it

Boots!! He has loads of different coloured laces he wears each day!!

And ofc he has his blue hair

He has his ears pierced too- he has these skeleton studs and they're all he wears.

Oh and the green and black bracelet Max eventually makes when he becomes the band's friend. It's tied onto his belt loops every morning.

Peter

Pretty similar to canon in my head

He takes off his suspenders and bowtie when they practice though (he feels safe then)

His hair is longer! He wears it in a man bun because it made him feel more masc before he came out to everyone (in middle school)

When he felt more comfortable (and after he came out) he decided to keep his hair long and the man bun just kind of stuck

He gets an undercut maybe? I can't decide in whether that's good or not.

He had LOADS of ear piercings (industrial, tragus, three on each lobe, conch, helix) but he's too scared to get facial ones somehow

He wears dangly earrings in his main lobe piercing

After he makes friends with Steph and stops wearing his suspenders+bowtie altogether he unbuttons and untucks his shirt during practice.

(Steph almost passes out the first time he does this. She can see his collar bones. Victorian woman seeing ankle for the first time core)

Richie clips a short chain onto his belt loops "So we match!"

His yellow and orange bracelet becomes his hairband- you can't usually see it unless you're looking for it/it's in a ponytail

Ruth

Ruth was actually so so difficult for me to decide

Her normal style just goes so hard yknow?

I think she starts wearing Docs like Richie

But she just has rainbow laces and that's it she doesn't change them

She gets a leather jacket too and paints the band logo on (badly)

The band tee she'll wear but it'll be over-sized and half tucked in

I don't know what else for Ruth so if you have any ideas please feel free to use them

Her blue and white bracelet is just on her wrist like a normal person lmao

Steph

Nose piercing Nose piercing!! She has a little ring

Her style is already SO SO good for the band AU!!!

She has fingerless leather gloves

She also has tattoos methinks

The beginnings of a rose + thorns sleeve on her left arm

And a shitty stick and poke star on her right wrist (over her veins) she got when she was 16- it's started to fade so she gets other stars tattooed on her wrist around it (one for each band member?)

She's the one who commissions an artist to design the logo, and gets t-shirts made for each of them!!

She, and Ruth both get the logo put on leather jackets. Steph's is proper vintage and is more of a biker jacket though.

She tries to convince Richie and Peter to get ones too, but Richie doesn't want to damage his jacket and Peter refuses to wear one at all (he won't wear the shirt either)

(She catches him using it as a sleep shirt. She teases him about it for weeks)

She cuts her band top into a crop top but she doesn't always wear it.

She dyes the tips of her hair red for while

But it fades into pink weirdly quick

So she dyes it back to her normal ombre

Steph's pink bracelet hangs from a hole made in one of her drumsticks. Her bracelet was made first (Max cried when he saw it)

Max

Max isn't technically part of the band

But he is their #1 fan forever and ever

So he has a shirt too that he wears to all of their (eventual) gigs!! The logo is a bit faded/damaged and washed out because he keeps washing it the wrong way

He has a scar in his eyebrow from when Steph punched him after she first joins the band (this kickstarts his redemption.) (Punchstarts?)

And he has his purple and yellow bracelet around his wrist!

I still haven't figured out how to fit Grace into this AU at all. I do HC that she thinks all music other than Christian Music is Of The Devil™ and she plays the flute but that's about it honestly... One of these days I'll figure something out
