One of the funniest things about “Hatchet Town” is that over the course of three musicals and Nightmare Time, most, if not a significant number Hatchetfield residents HAVE committed murder or been accomplices/accessories to murder in at least one timeline. To the point where if you randomly accused pretty much anyone in town of being a murderer, there’s a good chance you’d be right.

I can't explain how much I love that the nerds aren't insecure. They're not stammering and naive. They're confident and outspoken and honest. Peter is just as headstrong as Stephanie. Richie has the character to defy Max. Ruth and Grace are both open about their sexual desires to a certain extent (don't tell me that Grace ever denied that she was horny). The full-voiced performance by each singer adds to it and exemplifies it. The nerdy prudes are self-sure. That's why they're all so cool.
