The older man clenching around his cock drew a curse from Kell, one of his hands dropping down to twist in the sheets. Despite his best effort, he knew that he wasn't going to last long at all this first time around, too worked up and on edge ever since the bar. And it didn't help, of course, that Gwyn was moving just right on top of him, a small moan sliding passed the human's lips as he watched the master start to stroke himself. He made a strangled noise and bucked his hips up against Gwyn, reaching up after a few seconds to pull him down into a heated, desperate kiss.
Gwyn had a perfect view of Kell's struggle from his position, an easy smile quirking at his lips as he watched the human's head fall back, eyeing the pretty curve of Kell's neck as he kept slowly rocking his hips without raising them, savoring the feeling of being so full. Like this, he could feel every twitch of the slave's length inside of him, clenching down purposefully just to feel Kell's cock throb in response, hot and insistent. It forced a low moan from the sith's chest, Gwyn leaning back to rest his hand on the top of Kell's thigh instead as he lifted only halfway off of that rigid shaft before sinking down again, finding just the right angle to nudge Kell's cock perfectly inside. "That's it," He soothed, other hand reaching to slowly stroke himself, Gwyn's eyes heavy-lidded and trained on the human's face as he moved again, settled into a fluid rhythm, "You feel incredible, darling. It would be a shame to end it too soon..."

So Pia, just saw the response to the comment about Temsen being a menace and pragmatic. And Pia - he'd best be a match for Gwyn!!! Is that a possibility at some point in the future of the Rainbow??????
Hi hi anon!
Yeah this is something my beta Silvia and I have talked about for a few months now, the headcanon of Temsen and Gwyn in Underline the Black has been a lot of fun.
That being said, at this stage, I have zero intention of writing it, and also no real drive to write it. I still need a break from writing Augus and Gwyn as MCs, even though they were so much fun to write back in the day. I'm really enjoying writing other characters for the most part a lot more. I just need a break / a chance to do other things.
So yeah they are very much 'nice to think about but have no intention of really going any further with it.' That doesn't mean it won't happen, it just means it's like... 98% not likely to happen, I apologise!

"Perhaps." Stigr returned, polishing off the rest of his drink before he continued on. There was that amused little glint back in the councilman's eyes as his full attention was once again on the younger man. "But I asked what you would like. Best that I don't try and influence your decision, hm?" And he was, admittedly, curious what Gwyn would come up with on his own, though, given where they were, he imagined things would end up going in a certain direction.
He paused at the question, his fingers tapping gently against the bar before the older vampire nodded slightly. "Not as often as I used to, but there are times I've indulged. Sometimes it's just rather boring to have my meals handed to me so easily." They were predators, after all, with some instinctual need to hunt. Much less of a craving for Stigr these days, but he still enjoyed it from time to time. "I imagine there are quite a few who still do, for entertainment if nothing else." He cocked his head, considering the younger master. "Do you?"
Tumblr media
Gwyn didn't miss the intensity of the councilman's gaze, returning it with clear intrigue, even though his own eyes were slightly misty with the pleasant buzz the sith had going. "You almost sound like you have something in mind to offer me already." Like many ancients, there was something of a predatory air around the elder that was impossible to miss. With Stigr there was less a feeling of obvious danger than of patience, the cool composure of a persistent hunter. The vampires of the old world, they remembered a time before their meals walked right into their teeth. But then again, Gwyn mused to himself, did a councilman even have to make that effort anymore?
"Do you still hunt, councilman?" The question leapt unbidden from Gwyn's mind to his lips, the sith's gaze dropping slowly to Stigr's mouth and back again as if trying to sneak a look at the other's fangs. "The old way. I wonder how many do these days..."

Announcing: The Closure of Suibian Subs
It's never truly easy to make these type of announcements... but what would I know, I've never had to make one like this before:
I am announcing the permanent closure of Suibian Subs. The public discord server and translation work will cease.
As for our downloads, we are still deciding whether to offer them on our tumblr - which will stay open - or if there is a better solution going forward.
Please note that this doesn't mean everyone should race to upload MDZS audio drama to Youtube!! We still do not appreciate our wishes being broken.
However, if you have a friend who's downloaded the audio drama, you can have them share with you privately either online or in person. Do not upload it for the public anywhere.
Treasure Chest subs is currently working on MDZS audio drama subs. Please find their information to get access to their downloads, and respect their rules.
Thank you everyone for your kind words and support these 6-7 years.
If you're truly wondering, this closing is not about the server hack. It's 10% server hack and 90% member interest. The server being hacked is what really brought things into perspective for us. That is:
It's just time.
A little note from kittykat2010 down below:
From kittykat2010:
It's kind of hard to believe this all happened because I was impatient. LOL
I was impatient and decided to try MTL translating the MDZS audio drama, myself. We all know how well that would've worked. Luckily, the first person to contact me was iarrod before I released anything
"Since 2018, Suibian Subs has been providing quality subtitles, especially known for subtitling the MDZS audio drama, for fans to enjoy worldwide."
I never really thought it would be of such significance to hundreds of people. It was simply a passion project between iarrod and I. Then we added a bunch of other members: Gwyn, askcj1, Yen, and several more that have left over the years... and the rest is history.
Yes, people come and go, life changes, they need to take a break, then a "break" turns into leaving. Sometimes personalities clash and drama ensues. And the group either recovers from these types of changes or struggles to come back to its full glory.
I will certainly miss the camaraderie among us, the random chats, the streams, etc. It was all a fun time in my life that I will look back on and cherish.
Thank you especially to all of the team members, translators and subbing team, for sticking around, enjoying the good times and not-so-good times. Thank you iarrod for helping me out when I was so damn impatient - ha!.
Thank you to those members who have left for your work and dedication to the server.
Thank you fans!!!
Those who have donated (when we had donations for the MDZS audio drama team), those who have thanked us for our work, and those who haven't. Those who have told everyone that the MDZS audio drama is the best adaption of the novel and the best/only place to watch is through Suibian Subs.
Again, thank you everyone. Suibian Subs and its fans will truly be missed.

A Song of Ice & Shadow
Part 15
You can read previous chapters here.
Summary: Y/n slowly begins to recover, gradually warming up to Azriel and Cassian again. She agrees to train with Cassian but only under a few conditions.
A/N: As promised, here’s the next chapter with more Az interaction. Enjoy!
WC: 4.8K.
As days went by, Y/n’s nightmares became less frequent. Cassian only spoke a few words to her whenever they crossed paths, mostly greetings, casual questions about her day, how she’s doing, and nothing more. No snarky comments, no mention of training.
She hadn’t seen Azriel for a while either. He was mostly on missions, ones she knew nothing about, and when he was back, he either stayed locked in his room or left just before she arrived.
Somehow, whenever she’d enter the dining room, she’d catch the lingering trail of shadows and find a half-empty plate or cup. He always seemed to know when she’d come and left before she could ignore him or say something to hurt him. It was almost like he was avoiding her just as much as she was avoiding him.
She began to miss him, and that was dangerous.
But at least her life had improved. She was eating again, going to the library, chatting with Gwyn occasionally, and knitting. Being left alone had softened her, just a little, though she wouldn't admit it to herself.
On one of those nights, she had finished a book that left her feeling content for once. The idea of sleep didn’t appeal to her yet, so she headed to the roof for some peace, fresh air, and a view of the slumbering city below.
She did not notice Azriel training in the corner of the roof at first. As usual he was as slick and silent as the shadows, his form blending into the dark. This time, his shadows did not inform him of her arrival. When he saw her, he moved slightly, making an accidental noise that earned her attention.
“I didn’t know you were back,” she remarked, her voice softer than usual, though her brows rose in faint surprise.
Azriel paused, lowering his weapon. “Only for the night.” His body remained tense, debating whether to leave to stay.
“Don’t you ever take a break?” she asked, stepping further into the open air.
“I do when I need one,” he answered simply.
“You’re going to work yourself to death.” Her gaze flicked over him, taking in the weariness etched into his features. “You look like hell. You should get some rest.”
It was her way of not being cold to him, and they both knew it.
Azriel tilted his head slightly, his expression unreadable. “Didn’t know you cared.” Though low, his tone carried a faint chill, guarded as ever.
“I- it was just a suggestion,” she clarified quickly, glancing away. “If whatever you’re doing is important, you need to take a step back and rest. If your head isn’t in the game, it’ll cost you a lot. And I know you don’t like to disappoint your High Lord.”
“I’ll rest when I feel the need to,” he insisted, his gaze lingering on her for a beat longer. Then he added, almost too softly. “Thank you for your advice.”
She didn’t know if he was being sincere or mocking her; his face betrayed nothing.
Y/n shifted on her feet, suddenly uncomfortable. Just as she turned to leave, she noticed his shadows sneaking toward her.
Her gaze followed them instinctively, and her lips quirked slightly. She had missed them too. Noticing his shadows and her focus, Azriel sighed before speaking again. “This had nothing to do with me. Sometimes they act on their own.”
“Relax, Shadowsinger. It’s fine,” she said quietly, a faint smile tugging at her lips.
At that, his shoulders eased a fraction. He studied her for a moment, his hazel eyes searching her face. Something about her was different, her voice, her behavior towards him, the way she seemed healthier. “You look better than the last time I saw you.”
“I’ll take that as a compliment,” she replied lightly, brushing an invisible speck of dust from her sleeve.
“How are things?” he asked, careful and hesitant, as though afraid she might retreat behind her usual defenses.
“Not bad,” she said simply, her gaze drifting out over the city.
“But not good?”
“I’m still a prisoner,” she quipped, a faint edge to her tone.
“Be glad you’re not one of my prisoners,” he countered, softening a bit with a faint smirk, attempting to joke.
“Right. I almost forgot. You’re supposed to be ruthless with all the torturing you do.” Her lips curved upward, though she bit her lower lip to suppress the full smile.
“I’m glad you remembered,” he replied, his tone mock-serious. His eyes glinted faintly in the dim light. “But even if you were the most wicked High Fae alive, I promise you’re safe from me.”
“Hmm, even if I became a witch?” she questioned, her voice playful.
“Are you planning on becoming one?” he asked, raising a brow.
“I am,” she teased, shrugging. “But I still need someone to teach me how to channel that much power.”
He didn’t know if she was being serious or joking. “Just give me a heads-up when you do.”
“Why? So you could lock me up?” She couldn’t hide her amused smile anymore.
“I told you, you’re safe from me,” he repeated firmly. “But Spymaster, remember? It wouldn’t be a good look for me if I were the last to know.”
“Fine,” she relented, amused. “If I become a witch, you’ll be the first one to know, I promise. Happy now?”
“Very,” he said, an actual smile, soft and rare pulling at his lips.
Her own faded, her chest tightening unexpectedly. She missed that smile. She missed him, their little talks. For a moment, her expression faltered.
“What is it?” Azriel asked, noticing the shift.
“Nothing,” she murmured. “I should go. I have a long day tomorrow, and so do you. Good night, Shadowsinger.”
Of course, she’d pull away, run away from him the minute she started feeling something. The minute she felt her walls cracking.
“Good night, Troublemaker,” he whispered, though she was already gone.
The next morning, Azriel was gone again. But Y/n found herself in a rare good mood. She’d finally decided to train with Cassian.
This time, she arrived at the training ring dressed in Illyrian leathers, though not the ones she’d worn during the war. She’d burned those custom-made leathers after the war, unable to even look at them without being reminded of all she’d lost. If they hadn’t been custom, she wasn’t sure she could handle seeing others wearing the standard ones.
Cassian, shirtless and already wielding a sword, stood in his usual spot. When he noticed her approach, his brows shot up in surprise. He didn’t want to get his hopes up yet, so he asked, “Here to watch, or to join?”
“I’ve come to play,” she replied, heading for the weapon rack.
His surprise turned into an amused chuckle. “We should practice your movements before you go anywhere near a sword.”
“Don’t tell me you’re afraid,” she quipped, ignoring his comment as her fingers skimmed over the handles of various blades before selecting the lightest one. If she was going to wield one in front of him for the first time, she wasn’t about to embarrass herself. She knew she needed to work on her arm strength, but she could manage for now.
Cassian grinned, his wings shifting slightly behind him. “It’s for your own safety, but go ahead.”
Sword in hand, Y/n dragged the blade slightly along the ground as she stepped up to him. “Ready?”
“Whenever you are,” he said with a confident smirk, lowering into a defensive stance.
She did not give him a chance to prepare. In one swift motion, she disarmed him, the tip of her blade hovering just below his throat.
Cassian blinked, then broke into a wide grin. “Impressive. Let’s go again. I wasn’t prepared.”
“I thought you said you were ‘whenever I was’,” she replied, feigning innocence as she shrugged.
He chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck. “I have to admit, I was taken by surprise.”
“In battle, your opponent won’t wait for you to get ready. I might not be the strongest or the fastest, but if and when it comes down to a fight, I can hold my own,” she said, lowering the blade.
Cassian retrieved his sword, his expression shifting into something more thoughtful as he studied her. “I see you know some moves. Let’s go again.”
“I’m not a fool. I know I can’t defeat you,” she admitted. “I’ve seen the way you fight. I just took advantage of the situation.”
“Never underestimate your opponent,” Cassian said, his tone carrying a hint of respect. “I failed at that, I admit. Where did you learn to do that?”
She ran her fingers along the blade’s edge, inspecting it. “I took self-defense classes a long time ago. And a few sword-fighting lessons too. I practiced from time to time.”
His brows furrowed as he considered her answer. “Why did you let me mock you all this time? Let me believe you couldn’t fight?”
She gave him a cool look. “You never asked. You presumed, just like everyone else.”
His gaze softened, a note of guilt creeping into his voice. “I apologize for that.” His voice was surprisingly serious. “Does anyone else know you can fight?”
“A few Illyrians,” she replied, her tone casual as she inspected the hilt of the sword. “And I believe your Shadowsinger does.”
Cassian’s expression darkened slightly. “Is that why Devlon warned me to keep you away from his warriors? You beat them up?”
“I didn’t beat them up,” Y/n corrected, rolling her eyes. “Let’s just say they tried to show me some moves, and I showed them a few of my own.”
Cassian let out a hearty laugh, though his curiosity wasn’t fully satisfied. “Wait- your sisters don’t know?”
She shook her head.
“Why not?”
“That is none of your business.”
He sighed but didn’t press. “So, why do you refuse to train then? If you know how to fight?” If he wasn’t intrigued before, he was now.
“That’s also none of your business.”
Cassian snorted, clearly exasperated. “If you hate me and can’t stand to train with me, you could always train with Az or Mor.”
“No.” Her reply was quick, sharp, leaving no room for debate. “Listen, I don’t hate you, but I just don’t like training.”
Cassian crossed his arms, his grin returning. “Is that you complimenting me?”
“You didn’t let me finish,” she shot back, rolling her eyes again. “Although I don’t necessarily hate you, training with you would be unbearable.”
“Is it because you wouldn’t be able to focus on training and rather be too distracted by my handsome face and impressive physique?” Cassian teased, flexing his arms playfully.
“In your dreams,” she retorted, a faint smirk tugging at her lips. “Engaging in conversation with you is frustrating enough. You’re just insufferable. You emanate this… bright aura around you. Your view on life is just-“
“Positive?” Cassian supplied, amused.
“Exactly.”
Cassian let out a bark of laughter. “How do you manage to turn every positive trait into a negative one?” He couldn’t fathom how her mind worked.
“The same way you turn negative ones into positives.”
“Why, though?” he pressed, shaking his head in disbelief.
“None of your business.”
“Is that your answer to everything, anyone asking you a personal question?”
“None- possibly..”
“I can already bet on the answer to this one, but why? Why don’t you want people to know you?”
“And that conversation has already been too much for my brain to handle in one day. I’m leaving.” She turned toward the door but halted, glancing back over her shoulder. “Because I’m in a good mood today, I’ll say something nice to you. Even though training with you would be unbearable, having your body on full display would make it slightly less unpleasant.” She shrugged.
Cassian froze, his expression caught somewhere between shock and delight. Then he grinned like a fool. “I’ll take that as a win.”
The next day, when Y/n arrived at the training ring again, Cassian was already there waiting for her, his arms crossed and a curious glint in his eyes. As she approached, he tilted his head, studying her. “So,” he began as she stopped a few paces away, “How do you want to do this?”
“First,” she said, holding up a finger, “I’ll only do basic muscle training. No sparring, no fighting exercises.”
“Why not?” he asked, feigning disappointment.
“I don’t like having an audience when I’m showing my moves.”
Cassian frowned, his brows drawing together. “Afraid someone will learn your fighting style and use it against you?”
“No,” she shot back, giving him an exasperated look. “I just don’t take well to certain kinds of criticism when it comes to this.”
He nodded slowly. “Fair enough. I won’t judge. If anything, I might offer some advice, but that’s it.”
“Still,” she said firmly, “I don’t feel ready for that yet.”
“Alright, basic exercises it is,” he agreed, though the curiosity in his eyes didn’t fade.
“Second,” she added, “I’d prefer it if we trained in silence.”
He groaned dramatically, throwing his head back. “Way to kill the mood, Y/n.”
“Want me to train with you or not?” she countered, crossing her arms.
“Alright, alright,” he relented, raising his hands in surrender. “We’ll do as you say.”
With that her training journey officially began.
The nights were different. While Cassian trained with her during the day, Y/n would sneak to the rooftop under the cover of darkness. There, with no eyes watching, she practiced her stances, her movements, and her sword work.
It was after a few nights of this routine that Azriel landed silently on the roof after a mission, only to be met with a sight he never expected to see. Azriel wasn’t surprised by many things, but when it came to Y/n, this female never ceased to catch him off guard. He came to find her focused, her attention wholly on the invisible target she struck with her sword.
Not wanting to disturb her or break her concentration, he remained quiet in the shadows.
After a few minutes, she stilled, her instincts sharpening. She could sense something lurking nearby. She reached for a dagger and, without hesitation, flung it towards the shadows. Azriel dodged by mere inches, stepping out into the faint light with his hands raised in surrender.
“It’s just me,” he said calmly, his tone steady as his golden eyes met hers.
Her shoulders relaxed, though her tone remained sharp. “I thought I made it clear I don’t like being watched.”
“I remember,” he replied. “It wasn’t intentional. I just arrived and didn’t want to interrupt. You seemed… focused.”
Y/n eyed him suspiciously but let it slide. “I’ll let it go this time.”
Azriel’s lips twitched faintly, almost teasing. “I didn’t know you could wield a sword.”
“I’m not a professional, if that’s what you think,” she admitted, brushing a stray strand of hair from her face. “But I thought you already knew. You made it seem that way when you asked me about the Illyrians.”
“I thought you used your fists,” Azriel replied smoothly. “And your legs.”
“You’re not wrong,” she replied with a small smirk. “Do your shadows really know all that?”
“And more,” he said, a subtle smile playing at his lips.
Y/n tilted her head. “Then, with all your knowledge, I assume a lot of people want you dead?”
“You assume correctly,” Azriel said in his naturally quiet tone, a hint of amusement threading through it.
Silence lingered between them before he gestured to her sword. “Can I give you a suggestion?”
“About what exactly?”
He stepped closer, his movements deliberate. “May I?” he asked, nodding toward the weapon in her hand.
After a brief hesitation, she nodded, handing him the sword. His fingers grazed hers as he took it, the fleeting contact sending an odd jolt up her arms. The shadows around him seemed to still, as if observing.
“You’re holding it like this,” he said softly, his hands steady as they demonstrated her current grip along the hilt. “It’s not wrong, but there’s an easier way to balance the weight without tiring your arms.” His movements were fluid, sure, as he adjusted his hold, showcasing a more efficient grip with ease.
When he handed the sword back to her, his scarred fingers brushed hers once more, the touch lingering just a moment too long. The shadows curled subtly between them, as though curious about the interaction.
“Do you want to give it a try?” he asked, stepping back.
“With you watching?” she muttered, hesitating.
Azriel’ tilted his head, his gaze narrowing slightly. “Yes. Is that a problem? I can leave if you’d prefer.”
“Yes, no-” Y/n stammered, quickly shaking her head. “I just… I never train in front of anyone.”
“Why not?”
“Your brother asked me the same question a few days ago,” she replied, her tone guarded.
“And what did you tell him?”
“That I don’t like being criticized when it comes down to this.”
Azriel studied her for a long moment, his gaze unreadable. “But that’s not all, is it?”
She didn’t reply, her grip tightening on the sword as she started at the ground. After a moment, she shook her head.
“I won’t ask again,” he said gently. “Not unless you want to talk about it.”
She looked down at the sword, grateful he didn’t push.
“So,” Azriel continued, breaking the silence. “Do you want to try that move, or would you like me to leave?”
“You can stay, Shadowsinger,” she replied, the words slipping out before she could reconsider.
“Thank you for your generosity.” He gave a playful bow, a hint of a smirk lifting the corner of his mouth.
She shook her head, rolling her eyes as a small smile softened her expression.
Adjusting her grip on the sword, she tried the move he’d demonstrated, surprised to find the technique was indeed easier and more natural than before.
Azriel stepped back and unsheathed his own sword, taking a fluid fighting stance.
“What are you doing?” she asked, brows furrowing.
“You forget, I usually train at night,” he said, his smile widening ever so slightly as the faint glow of starlight danced along his blade. “Don’t worry, I won’t spar with you…unless you want to?”
“No.” The answer came too quickly, her voice a little too sharp. Her heart stuttered as heat crept up her neck. “I wouldn’t be able to concentrate,” she added, cursing herself for the words as soon as they left her mouth.
A crease formed between his brows as confusion flickered across his face. “Why is that?”
Because my focus would be elsewhere, she thought to herself and was glad he couldn’t read minds. “I haven’t sparred with anyone in a long time,” she said instead, dodging his question. “The last time I did was during my lessons.”
Azriel regarded her for a moment but didn’t push. “The offer still stands. If you change your mind, you know where to find me.”
She scoffed. “I don’t think so. You’re a hard male to find.”
A low chuckle rumbled in his chest. “If you tell Cass or Rhys, I’ll come meet you.”
“For you to leave your all-important work just to come spar with me? I’m honored,” she said, mock-gasping as she placed her free hand over her chest.
“For you, I’d leave anything,” he replied quietly, the words slipping out before he could stop them.
Azriel froze, his heart almost stopping as his eyes widened slightly. He couldn’t believe what he’d just said.
Y/n blinked, her breath catching. She wasn’t sure if she'd heard him correctly, or if she wanted to. Ignoring the comment, she focused on the conversation at hand instead. “I’ll think about your offer.”
Azriel exhaled quietly, relief briefly crossing his face. He couldn’t remember the last time he felt that kind of fear before. What’s going on with me? he thought to himself.
With a nod, he turned back to his training. Y/n did not run away from him like she always did. This time she stayed and they trained in silence.
The sun was already rising by the time they stopped, its first rays spilling across the roof. Y/n groaned softly, lowering her sword and stretching her sore arms.
“I probably won’t be able to train with your brother today. I can’t feel my arms.”
Azriel sheathed his sword, his lips twitching. “I can vouch for you if you want.”
“No,” she said, shaking her head. “That’d be weird.”
“How so?”
“Because the General is the General,” she replied, as if it were obvious. “If I go up to him and say I can’t practice today because I’m sore, he’ll ask why. And then you’d show up and say, ‘because we were practicing all night long.’” She arched a brow. “How do you think that would sound to him?”
Azriel’s cheeks reddened ever so slightly and for a moment, he actually looked flustered. “I see how that might sound…” he muttered. “So what are you going to tell him?” he asked, regaining his composure.
“I don’t know yet,” she admitted. “But I’ll probably just tell him I was practicing all night. He doesn’t need to know all the details.”
“Right,” Azriel nodded. “That’s for the best.”
“Besides,” she added, starting to ramble, “I think he’d be a little jealous. Seeing as I told him I wasn’t ready to train with him yet, and then we went and did exactly that.”
“Yeah, probably not a good idea,” he agreed, his lips twitching as if suppressing a smile.
“Alright, then. I’ll see you when I see you.” She turned to leave.
“Good night, Troublemaker,” he murmured, watching her go.
She paused at the doorway, glancing back at him. “Is that your new nickname for me now?”
Azriel smiled faintly, his shadows curling lazily around him. “I’ve had it for a while.”
She shook her head, smiling. “Sweet dreams, Shadowsinger,” she replied softly before slipping out of sight.
Azriel stood there for a moment longer, staring at where she’d disappeared. His hand grazed the hilt of his sword as her parting words echoed in his mind. He let out a slow breath, then finally turned to resume his training.
“I don’t mean to overstep my boundaries, but I have to ask, do you still have your powers?” Cassian asked during one of their sessions.
Y/n’s movements faltered, her brows knitting together. “Why does it matter?”
“Because if you do, it’s dangerous to keep them unchecked.”
She huffed, resuming her stance. “Even if I did still have my powers, which I’m not saying I do, nothing’s happened so far.”
“As you said, so far,” he pressed, his voice firm but not unkind. “But we all know what happens when you’re overwhelmed.”
“Let’s just get back to training,” she snapped, her tone leaving little room for argument.
“Y/n, it’s dangerous. Someone could get hurt.”
“I didn’t say I have powers,” she retorted sharply. “Just drop it.”
Cassian’s jaw tightened, his worry clear. “Just promise me, if you feel them coming back, you’ll tell me.”
“I’ll do no such thing.” She halted mid-movement, fixing him with a glare. “What has gotten into you?”
“Nothing, I’m just worried.”
“Well, don’t be,” she said, her voice colder now. “I’m not a ticking time bomb.”
“That you know of,” he replied, his tone edging toward frustration.
Y/n’s patience snapped. “Seriously, what is your problem?”
“Nesta still has her power,” he admitted quietly.
Her expression darkened, and her voice dropped to a dangerous calm. “Of course. Fucking Nesta! Why do you keep thinking that whatever she might do or have, I might as well?”
“Because that’s usually what happens,” Cassian said, pressing further. “You both are hotheaded, with tempers to match. You both took something from the Cauldron. You both have a way of pushing people away and saying hurtful things. Not to mention, you both shared similar bad habits after the war.”
“Do not compare her to me,” she snapped, her voice cutting through the air like a blade. “She’s a much better person than I am, and we’re far more different than you think us to be.”
Before Cassian could reply, Y/n stormed off, leaving their session unfinished.
Y/n went straight to the library to unwind, her heart still pounding from the argument. Gwyn greeted her with a warm smile and recommended another book.
It wasn’t long before Y/n seelted into her usual spot, tucked away in the quiet depth of the library— the same place she had first discovered its solace. Bryaxis was no longer there, so that level should be safe, or so she thought.
She was aware Nesta was somewhere nearby, but thankfully, they didn’t cross paths.
She opened the book, letting its pages pull her into another world. But as she read, the quiet began to shift. A voice, faint at first, began to call her name. Again and again, the sound reverberated through the space.
Y/n stilled, shivers crawling up her spine. She tried to ignore it, focus on the words in front of her, but it was as if her body had other plans. Slowly, unwillingly, she stood.
The voice pulled her closer, an invisible string drawing her toward the darkness of the lower levels. Her steps were slow, hesitant, but she couldn’t stop. She couldn’t resist it. It wasn’t Bryaxis’ voice; she knew that much. This was darker, colder.
She halted just before the staircase. The voice whispered to her still, tempting her forward.
Then, suddenly, a hand grabbed her arm, spinning her around. Her breath caught as she found herself face- to-face with Azriel. Too close. He was too close, his face mere inches from hers. When she took in his features, she realized his breathing was ragged, his chest rising and falling as though he’d run all the way to reach her.
“What’s wrong?” she asked, startled.
Azriel didn’t answer right away, his shadows swarming protectively around them. His grip on her arm was firm, his other hand resting on the hilt of the dagger strapped to his side.
“Why were you going down there?” he demanded in his usual subdued voice.
Y/n blinked, the haze that had gripped her moments earlier beginning to fade. “How did you even find- never mind. I already know the answer to that question,” she muttered. “Something was calling to me. Something dark.”
Azriel’s expression turned more serious. “You shouldn’t stay in this part of the library again.”
“Why not?” she asked, her tone curious.
“The darkness is drawn to you like you are to it. Bryaxis might be gone, but there’s still darkness down there.”
Her eyes narrowed. “Did you have your shadows follow me?”
“No,” he replied. “It was a mere coincidence.” He glanced around warily. “They’re everywhere, though. And when they felt that darkness, they informed me.”
Y/n’s brows rose in mild disbelief. “You ran here?”
He nodded, reminding her. “We can’t winnow into the library.”
Y/n’s gaze flickered to his hand still wrapped around her arm. “You can let go now.”
Azriel blinked as though realizing it for the first time. He released her quickly, stepping back slightly, though his gaze didn’t waver. “Do you still have your powers?”
Her eyes sharpened at the question, a defensive edge creeping into her posture as she created a distance between them. “Did you talk to the General?”
“No, why?”
She let out a frustrated sigh, crossing her arms. “He asked me the same thing less than an hour ago.”
“I have reasons to believe the darkness was drawn to you because of your powers,” he explained, his eyes scanning her face for answers.“You should be careful.”
“You’re not going to tell me I should learn how to control it or keep it in check or whatever?” she asked, her tone dripping with sarcasm.
“No,” he replied simply. “I learned not to tell you what to do.”
She blinked again, caught off guard by his honesty. “At least one of you finally got the message.”
“Cassian means well,” Azriel said softly, though his tone held a hint of exasperation.
She scoffed. “He has a way of showing the opposite.”
Azriel tilted his head slightly, his gaze steady. “The same way you do when you care about someone?”
Y/n froze, the words landing with more weight than she wanted to admit. She said nothing, just stared at him, the silence between them thick and charged.
Azriel didn’t push further. He simply watched her for a moment longer before his shadows receded slightly, their tension easing. “Stay away from the lower levels,” he said at last. “Promise me that.”
She didn’t answer, but she didn’t need to. Azriel took her silence as agreement.
“Goodnight, Y/n,” he spoke softly before stepping back and turning on his heel.
Y/n remained rooted to the spot, staring at the place where he’d disappeared. Somehow, buried deep beneath her defenses, was the unsettling warmth of Azriel’s concern. Not that she’d ever acknowledge it, or admit how much it lingered.

Elriels:
Tumblr media
My honest reaction:
Tumblr media
Not only is Gwyn canonically one of the sweetest women in Prythian, SJM is also in a group chat with her friends called “The Valkyries”. Oh, and Gwyn was actually inspired by SJM’s friend!

So I was on vacation this week, and I saw 3 people--2 women and 1 man--reading ACOTAR. Well, one was reading ACOWAR and the other two Silver Flames. The guy was with his wife, who also read the series.
So of course me being me--I had no issue approaching all of them and chatting with them about the books.
The wife of the guy immediately told me that she can't wait for 'Elain's book' and that it's been 'too long'. She also hated HOFAS.
The husband (reading Silver Flames) joked that now he 'knows what SMUT is' and then said that the most interesting characters to him are Elain, Azriel and Amren.
One of the girls I spoke with (ACOWAR reader) flat out said 'Elain better not end up with Lucien! I hate it!'
The last one, SF reader, said that she is excited about Elain's book. I gently probed about what she thought about Gwyn. And she looked at me kind of surprised and said 'oh, the friend? I am happy Nesta has friends now, but I wish she'd patch up things with her sisters." The complete dismissal of Gwyn was also telling.
So here we are. Reporting from the trenches after speaking with casual readers.
Another reminder just how much of an echo chamber some people exist in in this fandom.

Note
I started reading ACOTAR in December last year so I’m very new. I noticed quite a few signs of elriel while reading the series but stupidly, I was waiting for Gwyn’s introduction because I saw so many people shipping her with Azriel and saying they’re endgame. I thought that at some point somehow elriel will end up like moriel where it doesn’t pan out and Gwyn becomes the main girl for Azriel. Thus I tried to not become invested in any of Elain and Azriel’s moments for fear of my heart breaking because they don’t work out. But that was hard as I really enjoyed anything that involved both of them. I especially loved Feyre shipping them because I internally wholeheartedly agreed with her lmao.
I also lost interest in elucien real fast as there was absolutely nothing there lol. Besides Elain’s obvious disinterest in him, I also believe even Lucien isn’t that crazy about Elain. I feel like he feels obligated to take interest in her because of the mating bond and that’s it. He’s not interested in Elain, he’s interested in a mate.
Fast forward to ACOSF (looooong after ACOMAF where already I felt like I sensed something between them after their first meeting, eg. Elain wearing a cobalt blue dress like Azriel’s siphons when they met, her looking to him to see if the dinner discussion is going well, enjoying chatting with him during the dinner despite being scared of fae and getting him to open up a bit more, SJM focusing separately on Feysand, Nessian, and Elriel respectively during the dinner scene. I could go on) and I was wondering how SJM is going to build up gwynriel in (1) book into something worth being invested in and have me letting go of (3) books of elriel build up.
Meanwhile Gwyn only gets introduced a ways into the book and Azriel barely has any notable interactions with her that indicate a future romance. Afterwards, I remember being like “why on earth is this fandom so sure they are/will be canon?” I got a hold of the BC and it literally just confirmed the obvious. Elriel is the next couple.
Imagine my shock when I see all the gwynriel blogs lecturing elriels on this and that (with the most ridiculous misinformation I’ve ever seen) and how elriels are delusional, etc.
It just bothers me that they essentially trick (whether knowingly or unknowingly) new readers into believing gwynriel is endgame, and then the new ones don’t always realize it’s nonsense so the fandom just keeps being flooded with new gwynriel shippers. While I support it as a crack ship, I’m entirely against someone trying to tell me they will be canon. Especially when these people are usually anti IC and Elain haters. I’m not taking them seriously.
Anyway my gut was always telling me I shouldn’t ignore elriel. I went back and reread every single mention/foreshadowing of elriel in the books and allowed myself to just absolutely fall in love with them. And I don’t regret it one bit
Hey anon 🫶
I read the acotar series before acosf came out and it was so obvious just by that series alone, Nessian and elriel were going to be a thing - so I went into acosf unsuprised when elriel started having an attraction towards each other and we got more of their buildup for their story. Gwynriel didnt even occur to me? I liked Gwyn but there was 0 memories interactions she had with Az that made me stop and think “ooh there is something there” I finished acosf and left the book thinking elriel was next. Got onto tiktok and kept seeing gwynriel everywhere in the comments of acotar videos so at first - I thought they were some type of inside joke or acota4 cult…I was shocked to find out people were shipping Gwyn and Az. Nothing in acosf ever alluded to them and I didnt believe an author like Mass would introduce Azriels LI so late into the series, that too a spinoff. I kept seeing gwynriels mention the Azriel bonus which I had 0 idea existed/ out of pure pettiness I didnt read the bonus. My stance was, I shouldn’t need a bonus to understand gwynriel or need it to know they’re the next couple. I should have gotten that from acosf alone and let me tell you - so many Gwynriels struggled with justifying their ship and proving its endgame when they can’t use the bonus which tells you enough.
Elriel was just naturally developed. Everything about them is complimentary and they just make sense together/ I loved Feyre for clocking onto elriel straight away and I loved reading every single one of their scenes and how much significance Mass places around it. It’s like she just can’t help herself from writing about elriel poetically, lmfao. Yet when Elucien were revealed to be mates, I was taken back but intrigued and already digging the idea of them. The roguish male paired w the polite lady? Sign me up for that dynamic any day yet when it came to actually reading about them / they felt so stale and awkward. Like mixing two different people together and its just not working. Every elucien scene was hard to read yet every elriel scene was flawless. They just matched each other and reading about them together just made sense. I wS so happy when Feyre questioned why elriel weren’t mates bcs it meant Sjm was planning on doing something w that storyline which kept me even more engaged w elriel. Come to acosf - and all thats changed is elrield attraction is confirmed and Az is basically spending the whole book pining after Elain. At no point does Mass break elriel apart.
Gwynriels know there is nothing romantic or even significant about any Gwyn x Az scenes hence why they have to downplay every elriel scene (which they use for their HCs/fics) and exaggerate what little Gwyn and Az scenes there are. Most of their ship is 55% talking badly about elriel to any poor sucker who would listen, 12% fanfics and HCs which is basically copy past of canon elriel scenes, 5% theories that are basically elriel theories that they’ve copied and 28% of gwynriel fanarts to entice people on Gwynriel.
It’s hilarious how they call Elriels delusional meanwhile they’re thinking Sjm would have Az ready to beg on his knees for Elain then get w Gwyn. Thank God thats not her type of love stories. It cracks me up at how disappointed newcomers who have heard about gwynriel are when they realise what little scenes gwyn and az have especially compared to elriel scenes. I think most jumped onto the bandwagon of gwynriel bcs they hated Elain and this way, their precious Az can be with someone they deem “better” then meek, boring Elain.
There is a reason Sjm had Feyre question why elriel aren’t mates. Had Az know what was amiss w elain instead of her mate who stood there uselessly. A reason why she had Elain call Azriels scars beautiful and had Elain be the first to hold TT aside from Az. A reason why Az went to risk his life for Elain whilst her mate was gallivanting trying to help another woman, I can go on but you get the gist. These moments weren’t used as filler scenes. They’re important to Az and Elain as characters separately and together as a couple. No author would spend that many books & important scenes to build a couple only to have them breakup and end w others.
I also dont regret falling in love with elriel 🌸🦇

"Seems a little more likely than lust." Kell replied, shrugging slightly as Gwyn's eyebrows rose. After all, the first time they'd met, he'd definitely been in a pissed off mood. Not that it seemed to have lasted very long when he'd been in the sith's company. The human went easily when the master pulled on his collar, a quiet noise escaping the slave at the kisses to his jaw. He stopped himself, for now, from turning his head to properly kiss Gwyn. Kell's hold, though, did tighten somewhat on the older man to keep him close as he turned to bury his face briefly against the sith's neck, nipping playfully at his skin. "Not so much. Wouldn't be the first time that I've had to put on a show for someone, just sort of assumed most masters would be against it." He straightened up when Gwyn pulled back, Kell offering a slight grin. "Maybe. Though, given that it's Tiernan, he probably thinks he doesn't have anything to learn."
Tumblr media
"Wrath?" Gwyn's eyebrows quirked up, even as he remembered the state he'd first met Kell in, scenting the human's bloody knuckles from down the hall. "How exciting," He whispered with a grin, taking Kell's bait and fulfilling his assumption as he did indeed use his grip on the collar to tug him closer -- not to take his lips properly, but to give Kell a few light kisses along his jaw as he spoke. It was a bit of a tease but he was also genuinely interested in what the human had to say, didn't want to distract him as thoroughly as they likely would be distracted by a true embrace. But now that it was on Gwyn's mind... "Does that idea bother you, my lovely?" Gwyn pulled back enough to query, curious but very tempted by the prospect in his own right. He did so love to put on a show. "I can't say it bothers me. Having the opportunity to show off how good you look when my hands are all over you... well, it might give him a few ideas." Gwyn tittered, watching Kell roll his eyes. "Perhaps that inspiration could be my gift."

Imagine Rhysand forcing Nyx to go to training but he manages to negotiate his way into training with the Valkyries. He hates it, but at least his aunties are with him, so it's less horrible.
But then, at some point, Cassian and Azriel have to step out, it's only Gwyn, Nesta and Emeries there, so they go out to do whatever. And Nyx is left with the orders from Cassian to just finish up his exercises and he can go home.
But Nesta also left her little music egg thing behind and Nyx is like
"Well, no one's here to tell me what to do soooo-"
Anyway, Nesta, Gwyn and Emerie come back, and as they're chatting and laughing, Gwyn just suddenly slaps a hand over Emerie and Nesta's mouth as she's staring jaw-slack at the training ring. And they all look down just to see Nyx absolutely busting his ass dancing and singing, and just having the absolute time of his life.
Long story short, most afternoons became dancing lessons with Auntie Nesta, Gwyn and Emerie instead of training with Cassian and Azriel to Rhysand's growing disappointment.

Quick bonus chapter reread. Here are the words used with Azriel and Gwyn:
“It was too late to bank without appearing like he was running” (which he wanted to)
“‘Fine,’ he said, and realized a heartbeat later that it wasn’t a socially acceptable answer.” (Not wanting to chat)
“He didn’t feel like explaining” (Not wanting to chat)
“Spent the rest of the day, even the blasted snowball fight, with every intention of returning it [Elain’s necklace] to the shop in the Palace of Thread and Jewels” (Did not think through giving it to Gwyn, seemingly not thinking of her at all that day)
“If there’s another priestess here who might appreciate it, give it to them. But I’m not taking that necklace with me when I leave.” (Doesn’t really care if Gwyn gets it)
“He wouldn’t go so far as to call Gwyn a friend, but…” (NEED I SAY MORE?)
I don’t understand their romance. I wish I did, it would make this easier, but this left me feeling NOTHING.

"Yeah, yeah. I think you've got enough of an ego without me feeding into it." The words were softened a little by the obvious teasing tone, Kell letting his eyes fall shut for a few seconds as he just enjoyed the feeling of Gwyn's fingers in his hair. It wasn't often that he grew to like a master like this, so he tried to soak up as much of the time with the sith as he could. "We'll just have to make sure we have the time to really enjoy ourselves the next party." The nip had him chuckling and then Kell disentangled himself from Gwyn, grabbing the tinsel. It took a bit of negotiating, but they managed to get it on, though Kell's expression made him clear just how unhappy he was about it. He sighed as they left the carriage, reaching out to curl his fingers around the back of Gwyn's neck, pulling him in close to press a brief kiss to his lips. "Don't have too much fun without me." Kell teased with a wink, playfully swatting Gwyn's ass before he took off in search of Tiernan.
Gwyn's expression was pure smug satisfaction as Kell deigned to lay against him once more, the human all handsome and mussed, glowing with a gentle sheen of sweat from their exertion. "I certainly did. And because you were generous enough to listen to me, we're afforded a little more time to relish our mess. Aren't I clever?" He ran his fingers happily through Kell's dark locks, sighing softly at the press of the other's lips against his chest. "Oh, yes," He agreed, dreamy as he tipped his chin up to meet the kiss, "Very much so." Only after the sith had very thoroughly enjoyed the younger's mouth did he surrender it, giving Kell an affectionate little nip at his jaw like a parting gift. "Alright, my darling. Up and let me dress you. Or - whatever you would call putting on all this equipment."

Lights Down Low
A/N: So, I was listening to this song, and I was hit with the thought of Nesta and well...Less than decent thoughts. So, I mused to myself "why not?" and wrote this self indulgent one-shot. Keeping in mind that while I am a pro at reading smut, I am all but a novice writer of it, at best.
Nesta Archeron x Fem!IllyrianReader
Warnings: SPICY!! DNI if you are a minor.
Cassian had woken you up that morning frantically spewing about how he wouldn’t be able to go to training – you were barely awake let alone properly hearing what he threw at you full speed at those ungodly morning hours – all you got was that it had something to do with the Illyrian camp and Devlon and that he really would appreciate if you could cover for him seeing that leaving the females with Azriel being the only instructor was as dangerous as lighting a match near gasoline. And, if you knew something about Nesta, Gwyn and Emerie it’s that do they burn and blow easily.
So, you decided you were in a generous mood today while you dressed up in your fighting leathers and headed towards the training area at the House of Wind. He also owes you one, naturally, and you had almost the perfect idea as to what favor you’d call in for that, you think to yourself with a wicked grin.
“Good morning, ladies.” You say with a smile to your face at their already sweaty state, considering they have been here for forty minutes at most.
Azriel gives you a once over from where he is standing and an inquisitive look, “I didn’t know you were joining us today.”
“Nice to see you too, Az.” You feign an expression of hurt, “Glad to know you have missed me.” You had been on a diplomatic trip with Morrigan to Vallahan for a few weeks and had only recently got back as of two nights ago, and the only people you got the chance to see were Rhysand and Feyre for the report, and Cassian this morning as he groveled at the end of your bed for you to cover him for training.
“I am glad you two are having a great time chatting away, definitely don’t mind us.” Nesta said from where she stood in a stretching position that looked about as painful as it probably was. “Should I ask the House to bring you some biscuits and tea so you can get properly acquainted?”
You bite the insides of your cheeks in an attempt to control your grin from growing any wider. How you missed those snide comments. Not that Mor wasn’t stimulating company during that rather boring trip, but no one could entertain you so effortlessly like Nesta Archeron.
Rhysand says you are a different brand of masochist for enjoying the blue-gray-eyed woman as much as you do. Well, you and Cassian, who also never shied from a mostly healthy banter with her – without dramatic repercussions, at least.
“If you gave the same attention that you do us to your stretching you would see more effective results, Archeron.” I wink at her and she eyes me with a look I do not know how to describe other than ‘I will make you eat those words’; I shiver inwardly.
I am distracted, or rather saved, by Emerie to my side as she groans out, “This is insanity.” She moves out of position with a deep intake of breath, and I see my opening.
“Here, let me help.” I move to her sitting on the ground, silently asking for permission as I move my hands to her arms. She nods slowly in recognition and I start adjusting her sitting stance spreading her limbs wider apart and then holding her upper members up from behind her. My chest is pressed on her back, and I move my head to the side of her ear before asking, “How does it feel?”
“Fine.” She breathes out low and quick.
I hum, slightly puzzled with her reaction wondering if I am somehow making her uncomfortable. I look above her shoulder and see Gwyneth’s teal eyes gazing at us, cheeks red adorning a mischievous smirk. I clear my throat and get up from my position behind Emerie, “Now, you only have to keep it up exactly like that, and you will see that as nagging as it is, it won’t be quite an unbearable pain as before.”
I circle around the field correcting the priestesses here and there, mostly giving them verbal instructions on how to improve their stances and the whole time I could feel a much familiar fire burning on my back. I was being watched.
The training ended on a positive note, and much to Azriel’s dismay, the priestesses all left with a thankful and hopeful murmur that I should lead the sessions more often to which I just smile shyly at. As soon as they left, I start tiding up until I hear the swish of a small blade, looking back to see who my companion is, I meet the face of Nesta and her intense eyes as she plays with a dagger.
“Can I help you with something?” I ask, mentally cursing myself from being that affected at the sight of her in training leathers.
“So, this is how I find out you are back home?” She runs the blade on the wooden table where the other weapons laid, slowly approaching me, closing me in a lot like a predator hunting its prey.
“I didn’t-” I start and she pauses me raising the blade to my lips, the sharp end meeting my skin with a blazing cold touch much like Nesta’s own.
“I don’t care.” She eyes me in a silent dare to try and explain myself again.
I for one, get so completely lost in her eyes and the smell of her that all I do is take one of my hands up to her face where a strand of her golden-brown hair slipped from her updo and remove it from where it laid on her sweaty forehead. Nesta sharply intakes air and I lose mine altogether, as if she sucked in my very breath to her lungs, her full breasts touching my own, her nose brushing on mine.
“Did you miss me?” She husks.
I nod gradually.
“Hm.” She hums out, “Is that why you were feeling up Emerie at practice earlier?”
My eyes widen at the implication, “I would never!”
She merely grins wickedly to me, her leg moving between my own and I feel her leather covered core press down on my thigh. I let out a gasp, and she strokes my hair gently, “I wonder if you didn’t look for me because you were too busy with Morrigan. You did spend two full months with her at Vallahan – so eager to help, volunteering yourself like that – and we both know you don’t last long being on your own, don’t we, baby?”
She blows soft air to my face, as if it would help me cool down. “That is absurd, Nes. Morrigan doesn’t see me that way, or any other female, that we know of.” I muse out. “Well, maybe Emerie if we are being honest, but I know better than to raise the question to her.”
She presses herself further into me in a way I didn’t even know that was possible, I see stars and my hands find her hips in a possessive grip, “Nesta...” I mean to sound warning but it comes out a tad too desperate to be anything else other than pleading.
“Yes?” She drawls out sensually, hips moving away and right before I answer she pulls them back down deliciously deliberate and steady. A growl leaves my lips and I switch our positions, her back now touching the stone-cold rock walls. “I thought you could help me out with my stretching exercises, unless that special attention is reserved for Illyrian females only.” She draws out and I swear I hear a hint of jealousy to her tone.
“I can always make an exception for you.” I decide to tease her back, “If I am not too busy. You high fae do bend different.”
“Oh?” She lifts one of her perfect eyebrows at me. “Care to elaborate, professor?”
“For example, you are much more sensitive here,” I say as I slid a hand down her ass touching her inner thigh from the back, “than most Illyrian females I taught before.” I drag my hands upwards again, purposefully grabbing her ass and she lets out a small squeal. “Or maybe, that is just you.”
She moans out, “You are right, just me.” Enunciating the last two words roughly with intent as she pulls me for a mind-numbing kiss. My grip to her back tightens and my other hand finds its way to the mess of tangled hair that was once her braid, deepening the kiss, she gasps in surprise and I take my opportunity to slowly enter my tongue in her mouth giving her lower lip a teasing lick before sucking on her own. At this point, we are both frantically panting, all I can see, sense and smell is Nesta as her nails scratch my back until I can feel blood coming out. I draw back from the kiss and she glares at me in her dizzy state, I give her a mirthful look and she seems to understand exactly where my thoughts went to just as I rip her top apart and am met with her creamy perky breasts waiting to receive my undivided attention.
Wasting no time, I take my mouth to her left breast as my hand that was in her head seconds ago playfully twists and teases the other one, her hips still moving, relentlessly searching for any kind of relief and contact they can find.
“I reckon you missed me as well, Nes.” I breathe out between my ministrations as I move to the right side and suck hard on her hardened nipple. She moans out my name, “Ah, Y/N!”
“I want to hear you say it, Nes.”
She looks down to me, and it’s like something snaps between us. I have fucked Nesta thoroughly and often for a while now, in many occasions – and positions – but never have I felt such a feeling like the one engulfing me right now. It’s like the time we spent apart left the thing desperate, as desperate as I was when I thought of her, especially in the night when my hands drifted between my legs and I would come time and time again at the memory of her.
I move my head to her neck and with a bite I order, “Say. It!”
She screams in pleasure and I pull back to look at her dazed eyes while she says, “I missed you.”
I waste no time as I take her into my arms, and fly to my room, the House apparently ever attuned to Nesta had the whole ambient ready for us. From the corner of my eyes, I could see red candles were lit all over the place. The curtains were now closed and there was a dizzying smell, but that was no one else’s credit but Nesta’s as her deep arousal hit my nostrils.
Her hands that laid with a tight grip on my back move up to plant a feather-like touch to my wings and I shiver out a moan, “Illyrians and their wings.” She breathes out teasingly.
With a snarl I rip her leather pants off her finding her glistening exposed sex so fucking ready for me. I ghost touch it and she arches her back trying to draw my hand closer to her center, “How long do you plan on making me wait?” She lets out petulantly. “Weren’t two months of touching myself at the thought of you enough punishment?”
I raise my eyebrows at her, smiling wolfishly like a starved madwoman, which I am sure is the exact definition of what I am right now. I lower myself, kissing her inner thigh leisurely, and she grips my head her nails scratching on my scalp. “Y/N, please, I need you.”
“That was fast, maybe I should go away more often, it seems you finally gained some manners while I was gone.” I say before planting a teasing kiss to her clit.
“Baby!” She screams.
I decide to put both of us out of our misery and draw my tongue from bottom to top before closing in my mouth on the bundle of sensitive nerves, I hungrily move up and down, circling and sucking in different points and directions before moving one finger close to her entrance.
I look up to what is one of my favorite sights in the world, her golden-brown locks sprawled on my pillow, body glistening with sweat, her forehead creased in pleasure as she bites on her lower lip punishing the plump part before locking her gaze with mine and saying, “I need to feel you inside of me, love.”
I suck at her clit before speaking, “Only ever me?”
“Yes, yes, only ever you. I don’t want anybody else. Just you!”
I groan on her pussy, a low guttural sound that has never come out of me before as I insert one finger inside her soaking wet pussy. “You are mine, Nesta Archeron.”
“Yes, I am yours, all yours.”
I put another finger inside her, mouth working mercilessly on her sensitive bundles as she screams chants of pleasure, and I can feel she is getting close and I am not far myself, she takes one of her hands to my wings and strokes a particularly soft spot and I moan loudly on her pussy.
“Cum with me, baby.” She lets out breathy, mind close to succumbing. I move my fingers faster, harder and she continues stroking the spot on my wings, my climax borderline here until I feel the knot on my lower belly tighten impossibly and in a blinding flash of life I come just as her juices flow out of her and I divert my mouth lapping as much of it as I can. Licking her clean, fingers now moving slower and softer to help her ride out her high.
I let go of her, a string of saliva between me and her intimate area, she pushes my head upwards and I meet her with a searing kiss. Her legs engulf my torso pushing me closer before she bites down on my lips strong enough to draw blood, and as the metallic tinge of it fills my tastebuds Nesta says lowly:
“If you ever leave me for that long again, I will hunt you down, and I will kill you with my bare hands.” Her blue-gray eyes locked on mine, daring me to protest in any way.
“I wouldn’t dream of it.” I give her a slow kiss.
She gives me a smile that bore nothing good, and I knew I would be in for one long, long night.
