I started Season 5 of Chesapeake Shores and I gotta say…

I’m just not feeling Abby’s hair this season 😅

do u have show recs for like when ur doing smth else like studying or cooking or something and like aren't paying much attn. like stuff where u can still keep up w the plot even if ur not constantly looking at the screen. ive been rewatching new girl for it but i can't keep up w the plot when i look away

Mom shows like sweet magnolias, chesapeak shores, heartland etc i ‘d say virgin river bc that’s how i started watching but then I got genuinely invested so

If you’re enjoying the more realistic drama and complicated dynamics that John Tinker has brought to this season of When Calls the Heart, I’d recommend you check out the show he previously ran for 4 seasons, Chesapeake Shores.  It’s centered around the O’Brien family and all their drama.  It’s never really felt like the typical Hallmark show to me.  It deals with a messy divorce, there’s adult children who hate their parents, there’s siblings having issues with each other.  There’s some great romances.  It’s well worth watching.  

I would love to do a rewatch/newbie catch up if anyone is interested in checking it out.  Unfortunately, it’s only available to stream on Hallmark Movies Now in the US but it’s on Netflix in other countries and you can find it elsewhere online.

It returns for season 5 on August 15th.  Jesse Metcalfe is leaving the show early on but it was just announced that Robert Buckley is joining which should be fun.

Currently rewatching season four of Chesapeake Shores in preparation of the new season starting (finally!) and I still dislike Tr*ce as much as ever. Nothing against Jesse, but I’m glad he’s leaving. (Like, I was genuinely excited at the news. Though now that we know more, I’m not exactly enthused about the new love interest). Knowing season five will start with a flashback to their breakup and him leaving (again) does make the whole “I’m really back for good this time, totally not leaving again, I’ve committed to what I consider more important.” thing he had going on highly amusing. Like, dude really should have just left Abby alone and not ditched his band.

Chesapeake Shores: An Issue I Have With The Show

I am rewatching the first season of the show to be ready for the premiere of season 2 and have found one issue that as someone born and raised in the Southeastern United States that drives me crazy. There is no way in the world that someone is going to be wearing sweaters on the fourth of July. It is too hot and humid to even try it. A person would roast to death if they did. Where I live in North Carolina, it is usually around ninety degrees or hotter and feels even hotter when the humidity is factored in as well. Yet this show that is set in Maryland has two actresses wearing sweaters while filming a scene where the main family is watching their hometown's fireworks display. Seriously? I know the show is filmed in Canada and during a time of year when someone is going to need warmer clothing. I get that. But for the sake of authenticity and respect for the area their show is set it, they should have had the actors wearing the right type of clothes and somebody waiting off set with a jacket or coat for the actors when they were finished. Just saying.

ah yeah I’m used to it. I’ve dealt with headaches every single day for 5 years I’m happy I “only” have migraines now a few times a year. but yeah it puts you down in so many ways & makes your day horrible. aww thank you very much 😘 I can’t believe it’s already sunday & I’ve to work again tomorrow 😔 but I’ve rested well & had a great week. how has your week been?

she is a beauty indeed. I can’t wait to see her act again. I gotta confess I miss watching her play caitlin but I couldn’t watch the flash anymore. I hate westallen so much. I almost throw up every time I see a gif of them 😂

tbh it’s nothing spectacular but I just enjoy watching it. I started it because my bestie told me meghan ory plays the main character in it. I love all the characters now & I love watching it. I’m not extremely invested in it like in all my other shows but it entertains me. the characters make me laugh so much 😂 it’s about abby o’brien (meghan ory) coming back to her home town, chesapeake shores. she’s married, has two kids & lives in new york. as she’s getting a divorce tho & realises she’s been more focused on her career than on her twins, she makes a trip home where she’s confronted with a lot of people from her past. anyway, she wanna be focused more on her kids & decides to make a permanent move back home. so this show focuses on abby o’brien but it’s about all the o’briens.

haha that I am I’ve been to so many places. tbh if traveling would be for free I would do nothing else in my whole life than travel around the world. I’ve been to so many places but I still wanna see so much 🙈 omfg the ticket sale started on friday but I still don’t have tickets because my friend needs to sort a few things out before. I really hope I’ll still get tickets soon & they won’t be sold out. but thank you, that actually means a lot to me & yeah, I’d die if I get to meet her. rn it’s my biggest wish. I wanna see her so badly. thank you 💙💚💙💚💙💚💙 also of course I’ll tell you about it & keep you updated about it !!! 😊

With my Schitt’s Creek Rewatch done and me nearing the end of Chesapeake Shores I’ve decided to start on two shows!

One of which being Sweet Magnolias because I love Joanna Garcia and I would love to watch her again after her latest Hallmark movie 😊

And another I’m actually gonna rewatch for the umpteenth time is Gilmore Girls!

Why? Because with it being the first of October and Fall just starting this is the PERFECT show for fall!! 🤗

Not to mention this is the PERFECT comfort show amirite?

Since I finished Chesapeake Shores (in time for its final episode on Sunday!!) and given I’ve started rewatching Gilmore Girls (a classic show!) and given it’s Halloween Month I can’t think of a better show to rewatch and it’s been 10 years since I’ve rewatched it!! 👻 😁
