for the ask-- i've always imagined you've worked on political campaigns or have done grass roots organizing and sometimes (from when wands collide) i've wondered if you secretly shotgun costco sized shrimp cocktail trays for the gainz
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
Oh sweet saint chickpea, thank you for that
You’re so close—I’ve got a big old degree in politics. Haven’t worked on campaigns or organizing, though.
As for the latter…..
You’ll never know 🍤🦐🍤🦐🍤🦐

With my sister Sujung at the garden. Today in the morning ate a meal with a half of Costco hot dog and sushi. In the afternoon did dishwashing. And cleaned the gas stove and microwave and kitchen panels. And drank coffee with milk. And did younger brother’s laundry. And made cooked brown rice with chickpeas and seaweed. In the evening ate dinner with radish soup with cooked rice and Costco sushi. And listened to the radio hr-iNFO and YOU FM and Christmas carol songs on YouTube. And ate cooked brown rice. Tomorrow in the afternoon will do dishwashing. And will write a letter for my boyfriend and near future husband Stephan Leyhe on messenger. Love him so much and hope to see him soon in the near future. Thankful and loving mind for him and his parents and his elder brother and his family and his entire family for accepting me as their new family member. Have a safe and good day.

ok laundered the towels & have to put them away, should do laundry today after work, was thinking abt chickpea salad tonight since it’s been a while & I’ve been craving it, picked up car from shop (I’ll probably pause putting money into savings bc checking’s lower than usual), can also use incoming paycheck to have more of an idea what monthly paycheck feels like, also on that subject during meeting today I need to ask more about retirement logistics (screams), and I was also going to check more tax stuff so I can do the estimate (?) thing and *not* get hit by a fine (insult to injury), after getting the car serviced I think we have time to stop by costco and I might be able to pick up a joint birthday present (unless it’s not there and I have to pick it up at the usual costco) (actually I can check if it’s in stock), and I have to make sure to check in with mom (keep track of when she ends up leaving, KEEP ON TOP OF PHONE CALLS) (but also she’ll probably be busy with funeral arrangements—minimum once a week? maybe twice a week?)

on my days off i’m going to do omad. summer 2022 i would do that all the time and between keeping my hands and mind busy making a cosplay and props in june and a coworker dragging me out to play volleyball in august losing weight was effortless
i would have a coffee w fibre and collagen supplements in it in the mornings and the taste of the instant coffee coming through would quell my appetite. and then for lunch it’d be a cup of mint tea for bloating. then around 6 or so i’d have one meal that was probably 700-800kcal
for this i’ll have a can of chickpeas, 1/2 cup cottage cheese, ~200g corn, 2-3 tbsp cilantro lime crema sauce from costco, hot sauce, and whatever seasonings i want. as well as a spicy chicken burger and a bunch of cucumber cut up on top of it. or generally various chickpea salads bc they keep me so full for so long

blossomwithbella:  Breakfast: homemade orange + ginger + cayenne shot, lox bagel with cottage cheese for extra protein Snack: Protein bar and a Turkey stick Lunch: I made chickpeas & chicken roasted in a pan with some seasonings, then I toasted some naan & added vegan Tzatziki sauce on top with cucumber & cilantro Snack: mango lassi, this is from Costco and filled with probiotics, so super yummy! Tastes like a creamy mango yogurt smoothie Dinner: chicken 🐔 bowl with broccolini and rice Dessert: keto ice cream bar (Costco)

If this is a sign for how my day is going to go, this does not bode well.
I tried to make roasted chickpeas.
Dropped the olive oil.
And now my kitchen floor is well greased and covered in broken glass.
Edit: I feel like I should clarify that this was not a tiny bottle of olive oil, this was about half a litre of olive oil that we get at Costco

This is your sign to try the @tiktok viral French Onion Pasta 🍝 Hey everyone! It's been awhile... I decided to try the @carolbeecooks One Pot French Onion Pasta recipe with a few substitutions and tweaks of my own! In my version: 👩🏻‍🍳 I used a hybrid of butter and some homemade garlic olive oil to caramelize the onions. 👩🏻‍🍳 I substituted chicken broth for beef broth (because I added some @costco rotisserie chicken to it). 👩🏻‍🍳 I opted for a chickpea pasta instead of the suggested pasta. 👩🏻‍🍳 I used a healthy heavy cream substitute. 👩🏻‍🍳 I skipped the cheese and it was still really good. I would definitely recommend trying this one out! It's a very rich pasta dish that's quick and easy to make with common kitchen ingredients. I included the chicken because I had just went to Costco. Overall, this was an instant fan favorite that I will be including into my rotation of weekday go to recipes! Have you tried the #viral #frenchonionpasta yet? Would you try any of my substitutions? #frenchonionsoup #tiktokviral #chickenrecipes #foodie #foodies #foodiesofinstagram #foodiegram #foodgram #foodism #food #foodporn #foodstagram #foodpic #foodlover #foodlove #foodlovers #foodblogger #foodblog #foodshare #foodinsta #foodielife #foodinspiration #foodlife #foodinstagram #foodpost #dinner #dinnerideas #dinnertime (at Florida, United States of America) https://www.instagram.com/p/CoijREwOFEJ/?igshid=NGJjMDIxMWI=

12.1.2022
today is an intuitive eating day. i've seen people call them "metabolism days." for me, it's a fucking cheat day man. send my love to bethany the nutritionist.
coffee w collagen
celsius
bowl of grapes
2-egg omlette and piece of bread
a parantha and palm of chickpeas and two of these 3-4oz chicken patties
did walk my dog-- 4800 steps, 1.6 miles
this was the worst fucking cheat day there ever was .
my allergies were all over the place. i couldn't study. my parents are somehow upset i have a job lined up. my brother is so entitled and lumps me in as his accessory to his ridiculous ideals. whats the fucking point of a cheat day if i can't enjoy myself.
the only good thing that came out of this cheat day was that i can finally take a shit ! wow! fuck this i am never cheating again it was not worth it is was the wrost thing i could have done.
garlic bread - 1 piece
homemade lo-mein -- two plates
these lobster ravioli things from costco, they were not great -- 5 pieces
fuck this fuck ev erything

Whew! Three days of cooking took seven hours to eat thirteen dishes.

My partner thought it would be fun to use this article as the inspiration for our recipes.
1. Hawaiian Salad (Illinois) with Pineapple, Romaine, Shredded Cheddar Cheese, and Hellmman's Mayo.
2. Cheesy Potatoes (Michigan) with Oreida Hashbrown, home made vegetarian Cream of Chicken Roux, more Cheddar Cheese, and Crushed Potato Chips.
3. Cream Cheese Corn (Nebraska) with jalepeno. 4 Spinach Maria (Tenessee) basically a Creamed Spinach topped with god help me, even more Cheddar Cheese.
5. Mirliton Casserole (Louisiana) We made two versions of this. One with Chayote and mock shrimp from the Vietnamese market and the second with Gardein Italian Sausage Crumbles. Both topped with Breadcrumbs and I should mention in case there were any doubt, all dishes were made with obscene amounts of butter.
6. Wild Rice Casserole (Minnesota) with Chestnuts, Celery, Yellow Oyster Mushroom, Onion, and Toasted Almonds.
7. Cranberry Relish (Alaska) my own invention of Cardamon, Cinnamon, Cranberry, and Nutmeg.
8. Persimmon Bread (California) we also added Dried Cranberries and Pecans. Tm
We also made Mirepoix Stuffing, White Miso Butter Glazed Onion (thanks Candice for the recipe!)and Mediterranean Swiss Chard Tomato soup with Chickpea, Hominy, and Charred Lemon Fennel (because we had to use the vegetables that we had bought prior to Thanksgiving). We heated Gardein's Vegetarian Turkey in the air fryer and bought Pumpkin Pie from Costco because it would have been ridiculous to make it from scratch.

What’re we eating, kids?
It’s been a glorious lazy sunday around these parts, with some coffee on the balcony this morning and a cold beer this afternoon. Pupper and I chilled by the water for a bit, and played a rousing game of tug so now he’s pretty tired. I did just a bit of online shopping sine Glossier was having their 20% off sale, and I need some Boy Brow for my newly bushy eyebrows and some more of their ultralip lipstick which is the perfect subtle shades that I can wear when I’m not wearing any other makeup ( I want to love their Gen G, but it is just forever chalky on me.)
I have a fridge full of amazingness. Tonight I’m making Alison Roman’s crispy chickpeas with frizzled onions, full of fresh oregano. I have a BRICK of halloumi from Costco so that’ll get grilled up, and I have some broccoli rabe which I’m going to char on the grill and then top with some lemony, anchovy breadcrumbs.
I also made a batch of Alison’s green Romesco--listen, I’m a Romesco fanatic and I am a purist. The thought of making a Romesco that doesn’t have charred red pepper, tomatoes? blanched almonds? It’s sacrilege. But I wanted to try this one. I don’t know if I’d call it a romesco so much as like....a spicy pesto, but whatever it is, it’s damn good. I plan to smother that on top of my crispy chickpeas along with some of that addictive Trader Joe’s crispy chilli onion oil.
