Children with special needs are those with disabilities like Down Syndrome, Autism, Dyslexia, ADHD and multiple disorders including physical disibilities. The special children at our Centre include those with Down Syndrome, ADHD, mental retardation with seizures etc.
Like other health problem, there are varying degrees of intellectual disability ranging from mild to severe. ID is caused by injury to the brain due to various reasons and there could also be an inherent genetic factor leading to ID. Depending on the degree of disability a person can be trained to lead a fully or partially independent life.

Perspectives of Parents on dealing Children with Special Needs | Solh Wellness
There are many children in the schools where inclusive education is stressed, and some of them are sent to school counsellors for professional treatment because of behavioural issues like hyperactivity, striking, and bullying other children. The parents of these children refuse to admit that their children are acting inappropriately when they are called to the schools to discuss their problems.
Parents who recognise that their children have behavioural issues, learning disabilities, intellectual disabilities, and other childhood conditions will have positive attitudes and be better able to care for their children. On the other hand, parents who reject their child's unique needs go through painful feelings of embarrassment, disengagement, and occasionally even rejection.

Parents who are mentally ill Managing Children with Special Needs
There are a number of reasons why parents of special needs children could feel mentally uncomfortable, including:
Challenges with money, the need for medical care, advice, and equipment purchases Parents of children with special needs may experience periodic distress as a result of their children's frequent medical appointments, extensive equipment requirements, and ongoing financial problems.
When a kid is diagnosed with one of these disorders, parents start berating one another, forgetting that both are equally to blame for the problem. These issues include emotional ones, such as feelings of shame and blame, as well as, most crucially, a sense of rejection from other family members. Most notably, the fact that other family members start to reject and mistreat the child causes parents to go through mental distress.
As soon as a child is diagnosed as having a problem, it's usual to observe that the family's goals change, demanding that one parent leave their employment in order to care for the child. As a result, one parent must take time off work to care for their children.
Preconceived notions and unfavourable views held by neighbours, acquaintances, and the broader public The media, the general public, friends, and neighbours all have strong ideas about children, which causes parents a lot of worry.
It can be difficult to find respectable institutions that will accept kids with special needs. Finding the best schools that offer inclusive education and where their children will be treated equally is a common concern for parents.
Coping strategies used by parents of children with exceptional needs
Parents of children with special needs frequently use two coping strategies:
Approaching the problem while being compassionate to the child are active coping strategies.
Passive coping mechanisms include avoiding the subject and becoming hostile towards the youngster.
Ignoring the challenging issues could be harmful rather than confronting them head-on.
Conclusion
Parents' perspectives are important when it comes to caring for children with special needs since they assume a parenting role as soon as a child is identified as having a problem. At Solh Wellness, we work hard to provide patients with proactive mental health solutions before problems get worse. Make taking care of yourself a priority in your life and try out different strategies to proactively assist your mental health. For the changes to start appearing, download the Solh Wellness App.

Behind the Scenes of the 2023 Children in Needs Special: Destination: Skaro - Part Two
Excerpt from Doctor Who Unleashed:
Steffan Powell: How is it being back, reunited with your old friend, the Dalek? David Tennant: Well they're not old friends. You know that. It's an old-style Dalek as well, which should be taking me back to my childhood more than when I was last on Doctor Who. It's like an old-school gray one from the 70's. This is very exciting for the fanboy in me. Scott Handcock [producer]: Do you know where this Dalek's come from, David? David: No where's the Dalek come from? Scott: Glasgow David: I felt a kinship to it. Scott: Crack the Dalek open, it's full of Doctor Who signatures. David: Oh! Have I signed it? Scott: Probably David: Awwwww!

#i feel you op i also started initially to read the stories but got busy grinding for events instead 😭 #i also haven't read any of the events not even madguy bc i feel like im gonna miss a lot of context i feel sorry for my boys #although I've recently caught up to ch7 and it made me a stornger more brainrotted madguy fan than before #ppl said it's gonna get more insane later on and im nervous #but so far. the stories are GOOD i highly recommend reading it if you're able to #it's just kamen rider but with extra steps #also to assuage your fear (i hope?) i heard from the grapevines that the change to leon is minimal you can easily miss it (via @chipsncookies)
YES I feel a lot better knowing other people are in the same boat as me! :') as someone who only plays games very casually, the events are fun (and have been a good excuse to get those support stories on characters I was kinda ignoring) but SO distracting -- and they have a connected overarching narrative of their own (make sure you read them in order when you get to them!) so I don't want to skip any. which I guess is to say that my problem is that I'm enjoying the writing too much! how dare they.
overall it definitely has that Kamen Rider tone and feeling I was hoping for and I am VERY pleased with it! I do kinda miss the kitbashy monsters, though otherwise it's basically just Rider But With More Random Scenes of Characters Being Ridiculous At Each Other and that is exactly what I was after. (also exquisite taste, Mad Guys are best guys 🤝)
and as long as I still haven't gotten to episode 13 and can therefore continue to be hilariously naive, let me just say that I know what I'm dreaming of for Leon. he deserves it.
Tumblr media
...although I do think it would be VERY funny if they made that whole big "WE WILL BE UPDATING LEON'S SPRITES TO REFLECT STORY CHANGES!!!!" announcement and then it turns out that they just like. hue-shifted his eye color slightly to the right or something. it's not even a big story beat, Leon just decided to try out some color contacts, maybe comb his hair back a little, and we don't have the heart to tell him to stop. :(

it really is such a shame that pheobe isn't returning this season cause i would give away both of my kidneys for that scene from the book where colin goes to visit daphne at the hastings house reminiscening on their bond, and how well she blossomed into family life, leading him to fantasize about having children of his own with penelope. 😭😭😭💗💗💗

Doctor Who: s04e13, "Journey's End"
[voice of rtd] hey what if your best friend in the whole entire universe absorbed a fractured piece of your consciousness to save you (and whole of reality) from total destruction? and what if she was human—too desperately, brilliantly, tragically human—and the searing, deadly heat of all that knowledge was too much for her mind to bear? and what if the only way to pull her back from the edge of annihilation involved wiping all memory of you from her mind? and what if she could never be allowed to remember you? but as long as she was out there, somewhere, alive, then that was enough. then that had to be enough, because what other choice is there? and what if the story ends as it always does, as it always has— with you, in an empty spaceship, alone, at the edge of the universe? ... would that be fucked up or WHAT? hahaha

There is an aphorism in science that all models are wrong, but some are useful. The general idea is that a simplified representation of something much more complex may not perfectly replicate every element of the real thing, or account for every single factor that would affect it under real world conditions, but a good simplification potentially can approximate something more complex enough to get broadly accurate* insights that are useful.
In my opinion, specific sexualities and genders (all of them, fwiw), and the even the concept of being cis or trans, are best thought of as useful models for certain amorphous clusters of experiences and feelings, rather than as things that have concrete, inflexible definitions that map perfectly onto every single person who uses that model of identity as a shorthand. Dictionary definitions of what gay means/what a woman is/etc., are all assuming spherical cows in a vacuum to make the maths easier, and you look like an idiot if you think that cows really are spherical and are not affected by atmospheric pressure in any way (or indeed that they could survive vacuum conditions) and then go around harassing cows on this basis.
A person's internal sense of self is more important than your belief in a model. Fuck off and let me get back to chewing cud.

I saw a comment on the most recent chapter saying, “Crack idea: jon and rhaegar talking about danny and daemon overhearing only to assume he’d had triplets not twins and that his daughter died. Oh the sweet angst lolol” and I am so curious, how do you think that would go? Just how slowly would allard royce die for “not telling him”?
Oh nooooo and you all think that I'm evil when it comes to tormenting Daemon!
Given that Jon and Rhaegar are talking about her as someone they knew, that implies they remember her, which means she didn't die as an infant. Daemon's conclusion then would be that she had to have lived with them at the Gates of the Moon. They haven't mentioned her before, so it's unlikely her death was anything recent, which means she probably died when she was 4ish, likely of illness.
Even if everything had happened the same, that's four years he could have had with his prospective daughter, and perhaps at King's Landing or even Runestone the maester would have been able to do something, or she wouldn't have sickened at all...
I honestly think this would be the last straw for Daemon with regards to Allard in a world where she actually existed as their triplet. I could see him marching to Viserys demanding his head, since hiding his daughter from him meant she died without the royal care she would have been afforded as a princess. (...which, knowing Mellos, would have been leeches, but it's the principle of the thing.)
In Resonant-verse, some fairly simple follow-up questions with Jon and Rhaegar would allow them to damage control. She'd probably be explained away as an imaginary friend. (Though part of Daemon would still wonder if she had existed and died when they were very young, leading them to remember her only as an imaginary friend.)
