More of my Modern Cafe AU.

Ajax and Diona are constantly competing for Diluc's attention and asking for him to make them treats. (He learned everything from Adelinde)

Ajax is also competitively trying to be a better baker than Diluc. He's always rushing things, though.

Diona is a very diligent student, but like Ajax, she tends to rush things. And she's closer to Ajax's personality than she likes to admit.

Diona's boarding school acutally had rules against part time jobs, but Ajax used his goverment job to pull some strings for her. (Their "Don't tell Diluc" favor tally is Ajax: 4 Diona: 3)

it's entirely possible childe and diluc have met in canon. childe joined the fatui real early and diluc was wandering around having his revenge arc until maybe a year ago. childe wasn't involved with delusion production afaik but diluc's notoriety among the fatui would have made him an attractive target for childe. if they were in the same area, they both would have gone after each other's throats. given that childe has both a vision and a delusion, AND his fun demon form, and diluc was running around visionless, childe would have either overpowered him… or made it an even fight by promising not to use his vision.

also, diluc's revenge arc lasted around three years, so they could have run into each other more than once and childe would have been eccatic about it each time. diluc would start getting very, very tired of childe's blood knight antics but maybe start to think of him as insane in a predictable, almost safe way.

fast forward four years and childe shows up in mondstadt on official fatui business. diluc sees childe before childe sees him and he knows it's not worth it trying to fight childe, because childe gets off on it and also a monster (metaphorically but also literally). so he decides to avoid being seen himself and spends a lot of time hiding either at the dawn winery or in the back at the bar. (tho he might do some espionage as the darknight hero, but that's a separate thought.)

at some point, diluc screws up. childe spots him, recognizes him on sight, spot his pyro vision, and becomes immediately I N S U F F E R A B L E. this guy who was nearly a match for him while visionless now has an upgrade and childe very very badly wants to test it out.

childe grins and says, "Wow, fancy meeting you here! It's been so long. I was afraid you'd gotten yourself killed from exposure!" and pulls out a weapon.

diluc scowls and says, "I'm not fighting you in the middle of town you fucking maniac."

childe amicably doesn't rush to attack but doesn't also doesn't put down his weapon. "So, you'll fight me outside of town?"

anyway imagining the local fatui and the mond towns folk observing this interaction in broad daylight and then gossip spreading like wildfire (and kaeya, jean, and lisa hearing about it) gives me life

Chiluc Roleswap au

wherein, Childe was spat out of the abyss and into Mondstadt, and Diluc was kidnapped(?) and brainwashed into joining the fatui

bonus i couldnt write down/draw:

- Childe does not go home to Snezh because by the time he was finally able to communicate w/ the knights (language barrier) he was around enough to see how people reacted to his behavior and felt that his family wouldn’t want him around like that

- Childe & Kaeya frenemies, both kids from outside of Mond

- Kaeya was forced to take the title of heir of Dawn Winery as the adopted son, bc he’s basically the “Last Ragnvindr”

Thats all!! bc I’m halfway to passing out and writing diluc’s backstory gives me headache <3

i saw a post that was like "the last 4 fictional characters in your camera roll are all roommates now" and uh. this is what i got. i think i like this au a little too much now and made a relationship chart.

i present, the chaos roommates. we have:

Childe, the original owner of the house

Diluc (specifically teyvat turboflux au who's friends with Ningguang), who Childe only let move in because he was Down Bad. regrets it, because Race Car Diluc is probably a pain to live with.

Navia, the lesbian who Diluc forced Childe to let move in and is the only one who actually pays rent

and Kokichi, who just. showed up one day and kind of went "mhm i live here now and it's all your problem."

I don't play genshin anymore but I still really like it.

And Childe is still my cutie patootie. I love him very much but I will make AU that will hurt him for a bit. Never for long, he needs his happy ending.

There's that one that I really had fun creating the idea of the story for: basically Zhongchi turned into Chiluc (but I would take any character for Childe tbh, this man deserves love).

Basically, it usually starts with Childe having feelings for Zhongli. Even after the whole Osial stuff.

They became a couple after some time. Childe is in heaven. Till...

He starts to notice that something is wrong with how Zhongli treats him. Like he doesn't him like he's Childe, like he's some kind of replacement?

At one point Zhongli calls him Guizhong (yes, it's the AU where Zhongli and Guizhong were lovers). It becomes clear to Childe. Zhongli is still not over the goddess.

Hurt from Zhongli not seeing Childe for who he is, he flees from Liyue to Mondstadt. At one point he meets Kaeya and they become friends (I really like the idea of Childe, Kaeya and Thoma being friends).

And because of Kaeya Tartaglia gets to meet Diluc later on. Of course, it's not a calm first meeting as we all know of Diluc's hatred towards Fatui.

But something happens and they slowly become close and fall in love. Childe is happy with his tsun-tsun bf and gets over Zhongli.

But boy oh boy, I like to see Zhongli suffer. This man starts to miss Childe and goes after him after Venti tells him of Childe's wherebouts.

And what does he see? Chiluc being loverbirds of course.

Oh the feeling when Zhongli learns about what he lost. But it's too late. He has no longer place in Ajax's heart.
