#China successfully landed a robotic spacecraft on the far side of the Moon, the first ever such attempt and landing. . It is carrying instruments to analyse the unexplored region's geology, as well to conduct biological experiments. The landing is being seen as a major milestone in space exploration. Previous Moon missions have landed on the Earth-facing side, but this is the first time any craft has landed successfully on the unexplored and rugged far side. Some spacecraft have crashed into the far side, either after system failures, or after they had completed their mission. The lander also carried a container with six live species from Earth - cotton, rapeseed, potato, fruit fly, yeast and arabidopsis (a flowering plant) - to try to form a mini biosphere. The arabidopsis plant may produce the first flower on the Moon, . . . . . #moon #moonlanding #chinesespaceprogram #china #america #japanesespaceagency #jaxa #nasa #isro #esa #chrishadfield #neildegrassetyson #ussr #fakemoonlanding #moonlandinghoax #fakemoon #flatearthsociety #flatearth #flatearthmemes #flatearthtruth #flatearther #elonmusk #spacex #tesla #cars #artificialintelligence https://www.instagram.com/p/BsM4aTeh-_9/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1b01cguusuq9q

China's new #Chang’e-4 #spacecraft now orbiting the #moon in preparation for the first-ever landing on the far side of #Earth’s nearest neighbor, . Chang’e-4 includes two main parts: the main lander weighing about 2,400 pounds and a 300-pound rover.  The rover will land in the 110-mile-wide Von Kármán crater. It is on the far side of the moon, which is always facing away from Earth. . The suite of instruments on the rover and the lander include cameras, ground-penetrating radar and spectrometers to help identify the composition of rocks and dirt in the area. And China’s space agency has collaborated with other countries. One instrument was developed at Kiel University in Germany; another was provided by the Swedish Institute of Space Physics. The instruments will probe the structure of the rocks beneath the spacecraft and study the effects of the solar wind striking the lunar surface. Chang’e-4 will also test the ability of making radio astronomy observations from the far side of the moon, without the effects of noise and interference from Earth. . . . . #china #moon #moonmission #chinesespaceprogram #ussr #nasa #esa #isro #jsa #iss #spacex #blueorigin #elonmusk #jeffbezos #fakemoon #fakeearth #flatearthmemes #flatearthsociety #flatearth #fakemoonlanding #fakelanding #science #scientificmethod #sciencearticle #astrophotography #astrophysics #scientist https://www.instagram.com/p/Br9nw7MhPIH/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1dpf0mt4rot64
