“Min?” You croak, your voice raspy in the otherwise quiet room.

Pushing the covers back, you slide your legs from the warmth and touch the cold ground, shivering as you do so. You are about to stand up when Minho appears in the doorway, arms full of hot water bottles and snacks that he has prepared.

“What do you think you’re doing?” He asks, a playful yet stern look on his face.

Minho sets down the assorted items and then gently pushes you back against the pillows before tucking your legs within the blankets once more. He fusses over making sure you are settled, placing the hot water bottle over your belly and pulling the blankets to your chin.

He then slides in next to you and hands you a bag of your favorite chips. Your eyes light up despite the spasms that are occurring and you eagerly grab the bag in haste to get the treat in your mouth.

“How’s that?” Minho teased, hugging you close to his warm frame.

You’re starting to feel better with food on your stomach and a warm compress to soothe your muscles. Your eyes start to droop as exhaustion takes over your body. Snuggling closer to Minho, you tuck your head against his chest and close your eyes, letting out a content sigh. It didn’t take long for you to fall asleep, as your pain was traded in for comfort.

Minho notices you’re asleep and mutes the tv, not wanting to wake you up. He wishes he could take your pain away so you don’t suffer. His heart aches as he looks at your sleeping face, your peaceful look quickly turning into a grimace as spasms rack your body even while in a deep sleep.

Noticing the seriousness of Minho’s voice, Hyunjin and Jisung mumble a sorry and crawl into bed, assuming positions around your sleeping frame. Jisung settles in the space between your legs, ignoring the occasional thumps from Hyunjin’s legs that are buried under the covers.

Sighing, he opens his eyes and notices Felix, with a sheepish expression on his face. He seems nervous and is fiddling with a strand of hair that has fallen out of his ponytail that rests at the back of his head.

Minho merely nods and Felix happily scampers over. Right as he approaches the bed, he squats and launches himself softly onto the blankets, his arms landing outstretched onto none other than Jisung, who gives a loud yelp in response.

“Felix!” He bellows, enraged at the disturbance.

His voice has startled you and you let out a whimper, shifting slightly from Minho’s hold. Your eyelids flutter as you try to pull yourself from unconsciousness and the boys panic.

“Now you’ve done it,” mumbles Hyunjin has he glances between Jisung and Minho, the latter with a murderous gaze.

“I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to jump to hard!” Felix whines, giving his best puppy dog look.

Jisung doesn’t buy it and huffs, before kicking out at the blond. A mini tousle ensues, Felix and Jisung lightly poking and prodding each other with Hyunjin joining in gleefully. Grunts and huffs soon turn to giggles and yelps, each sound stirring you even more from sleep.

Minho looks between you and the others, his anger rising at the fact that you’d be awakened if they didn’t cease their dumb argument.

Putting on his most serious face, Minho growls, “If you don’t stop it, I am throwing all three of you in the air fryer at 320 degrees.”

All three boys stop at once, with Hyunjin trembling in fear at the prospect of going in the air fryer. Felix immediately places his hands in his lap and Jisung looks down in shame.

“Now if you’re going to stay, be quiet. Y/n needs her rest.” Minho murmurs.

He watches as they all settle back in their spots, placing a hand wherever they can reach on your body. Silence settles within the room and your breathing evens out as you slowly slip back into deep slumber.

Unbeknownst to your best friends, you were awake the whole time, listening to their banter. You felt warm inside at the love they shared for each other and for you. Your pain slowly ebbed away in the comfort of the boys, and with your discomfort gone, you could finally sleep contently, knowing you were well taken care of.

'The strangest of these occasions was the Southern Area Fan Club Convention on Saturday, December 14. In a never-to-be-repeated marathon flesh-pumping experience The Beatles shook the overheated hands of almost 3,000 Beatle People in the space of a few hours. We took over Wimbledon Palais - probably the best-known ballroom in London in its heyday - for the event, and filled the place with invited club members chosen at random. The Beatles stood for several hours behind the ballroom’s long wooden bar, leaning across to be kissed by their fans or to sign autograph books. Considering the high excitement of the situation, the fans were well-behaved. Neil and Mal acted as security guards, keeping the seemingly endless queue moving along and occasionally untangling a Beatle who had become hopelessly enmeshed with an over-excited fan.'

After these close encounters with the Fab Four, the fans were treated to a special stage show in the main ballroom area where an overprotective Palais management had constructed a high-walled metal cage inside which the group were to perform on an extended makeshift stage beneath a huge banner that screamed: WIMBLEDON PALAIS WELCOMES THE BEATLES. Welcomes? The cage didn’t make it look like that! In my lengthy preparatory discussions with the Palais people they had seriously understated their plans to surround The Beatles’ stage with metal barriers for the protection of both the boys and their fans. When we saw the reality of the monstrous structure we were furious. The Beatles threatened at first to walk out unless the whole intimidating barricade was demolished and there were mutterings about “prison conditions” and “more like a zoo than a dance hall”. Eventually, for the sake of their fan club members, they went on and gave an enthusiastic mini-concert. During this, as the crowd surged forward pinning those with a place in the front row against the cage, John remarked in a loud stage whisper: “If they press any harder they’ll come through as chips.”
