Current best guesses for what Bicycle songs represent what; after getting a clear-ish sense from some of the songs, I developed the hypothesis that the tracklist goes in a rough anatomical order, and the vibes I get from the others check out in that respect:

Furry - cheek tufts/whiskers (confirmed)

Boys - muzzle/mouth and teeth/vocal tract, experience of barking and howling

Cavalry - quadripedal limbs/the sensations of running

Frat Claws - claws. I mean yeah. Maybe other paw sensations in general, kneading, play-fighting

Chipshop - back fur/general fuzziness/the sensory feeling of fur being pet? maybe back stretches?

Brotherhood - chest pouf (confirmed)

Big Wheel - breaks the anatomical order but heightened/otherwise changed senses, thought processes, emotions, dreams

I Do - tail-having and -wagging, cause it fits in my head but also by process of elimination

I was a bit skeptical at first when you said "you can figure the rest out" but yeah, my guesses might be off but I definitely heard and felt the furry quality in the music and had that experience multiple times of going "oh I see it yeah this is dog music." Big Wheel seems most clearly like The "Having The Mind Of A Dog" Song™ of the album, if there is one, but Boys and especially Frat Claws also communicate that idea to me in a way I'm still trying to put my finger on. Like, there are obviously lots of songs that don't have words, but this album has songs that don't think using language, and I didn't even know that was a distinction I could make. Hats off, Taxxon, this is awesome.

Yeah, this is pretty much it. There's some big ears in Frat Claws too.

1/ VHS Head - Phasia (2023) first new album of '24 for me! "Strange Food" that zap pew beat is a delight! title track is p good, floaty. "Phocus" this is very vaguely leaning into…funk? i really like it. possible highlight? wondering why it shares the title of a different album.

it's hard to recommend this artist in general but ive been listening to a lot of AP music. just give those two highlights a try and see what you think.

40/ Tom Bragl - Regainable (2024) a few crunchy niceities, but just a few imo. "Klamra" f.ex. feels very 2007, which IS a delight. for anyone who wishes they made more music from 2007. here it is. funny it's marketed as "80s esque" lol. i hear it tho.

43/ µ-ziq - 1977 (2023) mike has a very distinct style that stands out from a lot of his peers imo. i wasnt sure about this but the reverbed minimalist drum machine in tracks like "4am" and "Belt & Carpet" win me over. I think those two and the weirdly hazy house of "Houzz 13" are my favs. "4am" especially, with those ethereal (newage?) chopped vocals

Acht Forschungspartner wollen bis 2024 ein kompaktes Nachweissystem entwickeln, um gefährliche Multiresistenzen schnell zu diagnostizieren. Multiresistenten sind ein großes Problem bei Infektionskrankheiten. Multiresistente Varianten des Bakteriums Mycobacterium tuberculosis beispielsweise sind vor allem aufgrund mangelnder Laborinfrastruktur in Entwicklungsländern ein zunehmendes Problem bei der Diagnose und damit bei der erfolgreichen Behandlung. Mithilfe einer photonischen Plattform soll es auch außerhalb einer Laborumgebung möglich sein, beispielsweise Tuberkulose sicher zu diagnostizieren. Das Prinzip der Detektionsplattform beruht auf zeitaufgelöster Fluoreszenzmessung. Damit kann man auf komplexe Optiken und Wellenllängenfilter verzichten. Im Projekt „Zeitaufgelöste Fluoreszenzdetektion für die integrierte Multiparameter-Analyse von Multiresistenzen beispielgebend bei Tuberkulose“, kurz FluoResYst, entwickeln acht Partner eine Methode für eine beschleunigte Diagnostik von Multiresistenzen von bakteriellen Erregern am Beispiel der Tuberkulose. Um Fluoreszenz erfassen zu können, werden die entsprechenden Fluoreszenz-Farbstoffe mit Licht einer bestimmten Wellenlänge angeregt und geben daraufhin Licht einer anderen Wellenlänge ab, das gemessen wird. Um das Nachweissystem günstig zu gestalten, sollen Anregungs- und Fluoreszenzlicht nicht über teure optische Filter, sondern über ihre Abklingzeiten unterschieden werden.

But here’s a new addition to the menu! The Dirty Fish Burger. Fresh cod/haddock in panko breadcrumbs with rocket, wakame pickles, garlic truffle sauce, chipotle mayo, and hot sauce. I love how Hook choose a panko crumb over a traditional batter. It makes the fish feel more fresh and holds a lot less oil, every bite feels more clean. But it’s the combination of sauces that make this burger awesome. The creaminess from the garlic truffle sauce blended with the hot sauce and chipotle mayo really balances out the different tastes. Next week, 21-26th, Hook are giving 50% off their whole menu when you make a phone reservation with them.
