she did what she always did after such days which was hiding in her sacred space and cutting everyone off but of course since you had just recently become mattheo's girlfriend he didn't know your routine.

you didn't know how to tell him, you were still shocked he was your boyfriend, that you could be that vocal about your feelings to someone.

it was a strange feeling, but the best one you had ever felt.

someone barged in your dorm and you knew from the harsh footsteps that it was your beloved.

"y/n if you're here please come out darling,just-" his voice broke and so did your heart out of guilt for not telling him anything.

"please" he begged once again and you decided to finally come out.

Theo had not one idea as to why you were with him. You were a complete sunshine, never said no to anyone and were by far the kindest human theo had ever met.

Though people try to take advantage of your kindness, Theo's always there to protect you. He hates seeing his girl unable to say no even when she wants to and so, he helps her when he can.

However on that particular Saturday morning, your boyfriend hadn't accompanied you to breakfast, running late as usual and you had been approached by a boy in your class.

He had taken the opportunity of the empty seat beside you, which you saved for Theo, and decided to sit on it. Mattheo looked at him with an amused expression, eager to see Theo's reaction.

Theo came stumbling into the great hall, no robe, tie askew, and eyes searching for his beloved. His eyes land upon you, along with your uncomfortable expression.

He sits beside Mattheo, "You've not said anything to this boy?" Theo looks at you while you nod your head at said boy once more and he gets up while having a mischievous smile on his face.

"You really think, if I had said something he would still be there?" Theo chuckled at the statement, getting up to finally sit beside his girlfriend.

"Morning darling, what was that about?" he had a toast in his mouth, hanging off. He was trying to find the butter and you were sure you've never seen a much cuter sight.

Your hands instinctively find his tie, adjusting it as you speak. "He wants me to tutor him this afternoon." You pat his tie one last time before returning to your breakfast.

Theo rolls his eyes at your naiveness and how you don't see that boy was flirting with you, but decided to not say anything.

Later that afternoon, you wished you were still with Theo when you were sitting in the library with the boy whose name you had forgotten by now was sitting way too close.

You had decided if he moved any closer you would say something, anything. His hand moved around your shoulders, awkardly pulling you in, while his other hand met your thighs and you pulled away.

Your pulling away didn't help because the hand around your shoulder only pulled you closer. "Please move away from me." You had finally let out.

"Why, cause you're a little slut, whoring yourself out for your little boyfriend?" His words hit you, is this how people perceived you?

You had finally broken free of his hold, pushing yourself up along with your bag and running towards your dorms.

You shut the door, threw your bag on the floor, and got in your bed. You hugged your knees to your chest and started bawling your eyes out.

It was evening now and Theo hadn't seen you, deciding to check up on you, he went to your dorm. Knocking slightly, he entered and immediately thoughts of worry filled him.

You had cried, that much was clear from your face, but he wanted to know why. He sat beside you and you immediately hugged him, starting to cry again.

"What happened darling?" He asked in the most gentle voice he could muster up. He was ready to kill whoever had done this to his girl, but first he needed her to calm down.

"That boy, from this morning he-" you choked up, remembering his words and his touch and feeling disgusted by it.

"What did that fucker do, did he touch you?" Theo was seething, his jaw was tensed, few of his veins were visible.

You nodded and continued, "He touched me here," You brought his hands to your thighs. "He called me a slut, who was whoring herself out for you" Your voice was heavy and you looked ready to cry again.

Theo pulled up the sleeves of his shirt, wiping your tears with it, and pulled you up on your feet. Getting your shoes, from beside your bed, he knelt and helped you put them on.

"Where are we going, Theo?" you asked while he held your hand and pulled you towards with him to his dorm, you had never seen him this angry.

"To show that idiot, whose girl he was messing with" Slamming the door to his dorm open, he went into his bathroom while Mattheo, Enzo, and Draco looked around in confusion.

Theo came out with a baseball bat, handing one to Mattheo who only grinned and yelled, "Hell yeah" at the sight.

Theo held your hand again, pulling you along with him once more but this time three more boys were accompanying you.

The boy was sitting at the table in the great hall, surrounded by his friends, Theo left your hand and kissed your forehead before pulling the guy backwards using his shirt.

He was on the ground, while all four of them were surrounding him, the boy's friends had ran after seeing exactly who had pulled him down.

"Do you really think, you will mess with my girl and I'll stay silent?" He asked, laughing slightly, swinging the bat over his shoulder and the guy had just started to utter some words before Theo's bat hit his leg.

He groaned out in pain, and you winced at the sight. All three boys had now begun hitting the boy with all their might.

Finally after a while, professor Snape had arrived to break off the fight, giving them all a week's worth of detention while carrying the boy to the hospital wing.

Theo's hand came up to clean his face while he walked towards you, putting your face in his hands he whispered, "I'll always protect you, no matter what" and all you did was smile.

he pulled you in tight and covered you both with a blanket while you were busy wetting his sleve from your tears.

after a while, you had drifted off to sleep partially from the exhaustion and partially because of the rhythmic thumping mattheo had done on your back.

You had gotten an acceptable on your homework, one on which you had genuinely worked hard on. One of your classmates spilled his drink on your shirt, and you didn't have an extra so you were all sticky and on top of that you hadn't seen your boyfriend all day.

You wanted to cry, your eyes were all red already, and all you wanted was to see his face, to hug him, to hold him.

You entered the room without knocking, not being bothered to do so, and Theo instantly looked up at the sound and his brows furrowed seeing you in distress.

"Theo-" You sniffled, hands covering your eyes while you cried, Theo came rushing towards you. "I had such a bad day."

"It's okay darling, I'm here" he patted your back, and tried to get you to calm down but nothing worked, finally he let you change into something comfortable, helped you put on your coat and headed out.

He knew you needed fresh air and his arms, and he was there to give it to you, he always was. He led you to the garden near the lake, he was holding you tightly in his arms, while he pointed towards the sunset.

"It's so pretty," you said barely in a whisper still in awe of the beauty, while only had his eyes on you, looking at you lovingly. "So pretty" he repeated though in a completely different meaning.

It wasn't until, it was pitch black that you both returned to his dorm, you were feeling much better, Theo always knew what to do help you and you adored it.

You both were settled in his bed, you on top of him while his arms were around you, pulling you close to him, and you never wanted him to let go.

It was date night, one which rarely occurred due to the burden both you and your boyfriend, Theo faced. Tonight was one of those nights when he would take you to a fancy restaurant and shower you with love.

You had started getting ready a while ago, thinking to yourself it wouldn't take long, but boy were you wrong.

It was your hair, aside from the fact that it was not the stereotypical perfect hair, it just wouldn't cooperate tonight. You had tried all the tips and tricks, your friends told you about to keep it from puffing up, but alas none worked.

You tried putting it in a bun, but the flyaways wouldn't settle, you tried keeping it open and that didn't work either, there must have been a hundred products you used and it still didn't do anything.

You wished your hair was normal, like all the other girls you saw on the daily, you looked yourself in the mirror and tears started to erupt from your eyes, travelling all the way down your cheek.

You would hate for Theo to see you like this, he would realize he could do so much better, he could have anyone else and she wasn't ready for him to leave her.

Theo's foot was bouncing up and down in the common room, he had been waiting for you for the past half an hour and was surprised to not find you there when he himself was a few minutes late.

He decided to go into your dorm and ask you rather than lose his mind trying to figure out what went wrong, he picked up the flowers he had bought for you from the table and headed straight to your dorm.

A slight knock on your door startled you, you knew who it was. You looked in the mirror again, this time not only the hair was bothering you but your eyes had swelled up as well.

Another sniffle escaped you and the voice you had grown to love asked you from across the door, "Are you crying, y/n?"

You cleared your throat, scared to be found crying over something this silly, you thought for sure he would think you were crazy, "No" you replied, and your voice cracked and you winced at it.

"Yes you are, I'm coming in, darling" Oh dear god, this was it, more tears welled up in your eyes, threatening to spill.

He was beyond panicked now. His girl was crying, and he would kill whoever made that happen.

The first thing you noticed when Theo entered your room were the flowers in his hand, your favorite, more tears spilled from your eyes, he was too good for you.

He kept the flowers down on your bedside table and sat beside you taking your hand in his, pulling you closer to him, but your turned your face away, "What happened, baby?" his hand tried to maneuver your face towards him.

"My hair, it's-," You wiped some of the tears from your face. "I don't feel pretty, Theo"

Theo sighed. He knew how insecure you were about your hair and how much it bothered you, he wanted to comfort you, wanted to tell you how you were the most beautiful person he's ever met.

He pulled on your hand, making you stand up, tugging you along to the other side of the room where your mirror was.

"You can't see how pretty you are l, but I can. I love your hair, how dare you say they aren't perfect." He placed a kiss on your forehead. "These eyes, god I could be lost in them all day, tears shouldn't be there"

He kissed all of your tear stains, one by one. "These hands, your pretty hands" he held one up, "I could kiss them all day" and he did.

You were laughing now, albeit lightly, but you were still laughing and his eyes glinted at the sound.

"Most importantly, your heart, which loves me and I thank god every day for it" Finally he kissed your lips, tasting the salt from your tears and the cherry from your lipgloss, you kissed him back, wondering what did you do to deserve him.

"Oh, and," His hand travelled to his hair, which was neatly gelled and he ran his hand through making it messy and letting it stick out in all directions. "Perfect, isn't it?"

You smiled at him, kissed his cheek while telling him you love him, and he said it back, he always did. Taking his hand in yours, you went out of the room, ready for your date.

You knew you came in the library to do something, something you can't quite remember now that you've entered the room.

It agitated you to no end, how you knew not even a moment ago but now your mind was blank. You knew why this happened, the winter blues had started to hit and you knew the repurcussions of it.

Holding conversations were never easy, given that you wanted to have one, you stumbled over your words and quite often forgot what you were saying but your friends understood and so did mattheo, in fact he was the only one with the enough patience to deal with you.

You returned from the library that evening and after some time you saw pansy enter the room as well. "Why did you blow me off? I waited for you at the library for at least an hour"

She didn't yell though her tone was sharp, and now you could very well remember the conversation you had with her where you confirmed that you will be at the library.

You apologized profusely and hoped it made her feel a little because you sure didn't. Heading up to your dorm you could only think how much you burdened and disturbed other people.

Your dorm was unfortunately not empty, your boyfriend, Mattheo was sitting on your bed when you realised you hadn't even talked to him all day.

"Alright, darling?" He got up from the bed heading towards you, you slowly fell into his embrace, his tight hold making you feel secure, making you feel something.

"No-I'm not alright, I'm such a bad friend, I try so hard and still I can't seem to help it" He looked at your face confused as if you've said something completely diabolical.

"It's not your fault, I hope you know that, You're a wonderful person and your friends don't blame you, no one does" He hugged you tighter and it made you feel just a little bit better.

This day like any other day started the same not wanting to get out of bed but still doing it getting ready and heading down to the great hall with Lily.

James flirting with Lily, Sirius yelling he's done with this bullshit and Remus looking at him with an interest you could only imagine you could give to someone.

Sirius and James leaving for practice asking Lily for a goodluck kiss her refusing while rolling her eyes but a hint of blush still evident.

Y/n looking at the slytherin table to gaze at Regulus who she talked with once in a while but he never showed as much interest as her never seeing the true emotions she wanted him to see.

It was the same monotonous routine and she was sick of it she needed something new.

"Hey lily party in the common room tonight tell your friends" Remus informed Lily with so much comfort you wanted that comfort that level of friendship that trust you wanted validation.

"Okay see you tonight" Lily replied to him with a smile and the same level of understanding and informality.

A party finally something not so boring.

And even though Peter had mumbled 'it's okay' she didn't feel it and the only reason she reacted like that was because regulus actually talked to her just because he wanted to just because he wanted to know her and it made her feel good inside.

But anyways that wasn't an excuse and she'd find a way to apologize to Peter.

"Y/n wait" someone she didn't expect called out to her James Potter his perfect curls falling on his nothing short of an angelic face.

"James did you need something?"

"No-well I just wanted to ask you something."

She motions for him to go on.

"You know how I like Lily and you like Regulus Black."

"Yeah who doesn't now" recalling back the scene that just happened.

"Well my point is i thought if we make both of them jealous enough they'll actually want to date us you know ?"

"And how do you plan on doing that?"

"By making you my fake girlfriend" he said with such an ease like it was just a normal thing asking someone you barely know to date-to fake date you.

"This could end up really messy i mean if Lily starts dating you then she'll just see me as her boyfriend's ex and that will be a complicated relationship and-"

"I'll tell lily when we start dating" he cut her off.

"I need time to think about this I'll tell you tomorrow morning."

"That's fine."

You just nodded and went straight to bed.

The next morning you woke up a little early to pick up some flowers and your mother's special banana bread for Peter.

When you gave him both the things he was finally in the same mood he always is in.

And there he was James looking at you with an eagerness like a puppy waiting for its treat and of course your friends noticed him staring at you and not his 'lily flower'.

"Is there something going on between you and james?" lily asked with a curious tone.

"What? no of course not" you replied with your voice all high pitched.

Lily didn't completely believe you but left the topic nonetheless.

When you got up to go to your first class and started heading out the great hall James had stopped you.

It had been a two weeks since then and everything was going according to plan well for James at least.

She did things James told her to do to make Lily jealous and it worked as she always found an excuse to leave,her cheeks always flushed.

It was a normal morning james coming down to sit beside y/n kissing her cheek.

"You know what?it's been almost a month now and i think we're ready" you only said this after hearing Lily's reply.

"Great I'll help you pick you out a dress"

You liked this liked being the centre of attention it was nice.

Just before transfiguration you met James like he said you would.

"James you're going to be so happy hearing this"

"Okay, so you know the party on friday?" he nodded at this "Marlene suggested we should sleep together and Lily completely freaked out saying stuff like it's too early so i told them that we're ready so on friday after some time we'll just go to your dorm do whatever the hell we want and then I'll sneak back to my dorm at night so your friends won't be able to see but mine will"

"Okay, i wanna kiss your genius brain and this is a perfect plan"

"Oh i love you" he said hugging her. In moments like this was when y/n felt the best because even though she'll never admit to anyone she had started giving James the longing stares she once gave Regulus and maybe just maybe she liked James and even though they were not going to be together it was nice fake dating him.

That evening when you were back at your dorm Lily had asked you something.

I just wanted to ask "how did you and James even got together i thought you liked Regulus?"

"Oh no that Regulus thing was just a cover up i just see him as a friend I liked James but was too scared to admit that's it."

"Oh yeah that makes sense"

You let out a breath of relief thankfully you already prepared yourself for these questions before hand.

"It was friday and you were afraid you'd break your jaw from how much you were smiling you couldn't help getting to spend some alone time with James was amazing even though you had been on hogsmeade dates this was different it was his dorm.

"So y/n are you excited for tonight?" marlene asked with a slight wink.

"Oh yeah definitely" you tried to play it cool.

"You better tell us all the details"

"Marls he's right there" you said looking right at him he shot you a wink when you looked at him.

You had a free class today and were headed to the the library to get some work done when you were met with a sight you wished you wouldn't have seen.

There he was just outside the library Regulus Black snogging a girl without a care in this world and even though you didn't like him anymore it still stung for some reason.

Why were you jealous when you liked James maybe you were too attached to Regulus and it hurt you to see him with another girl.

You didn't go to the library instead headed straight for your dorm dressed down and picked out Jame's shirt that he gave to wear it and went straight to sleep.

After a while your dormmates came into the room stirring you awake "wait why are you back did I sleep that long?"

"I guess you even missed lunch so we brought you some food" Lily said with a shy smile on her face god you hated what you were doing to her.

"Thank you"

"Okay now eat up we'll all go shower and then get ready for the party" Mary was clearly the most excited for the actual party out of the lot.

You did everything Lily said and were standing in front of the mirror trying to decide what drrss to wear.

You ultimately decided on a black mini drrss with baby blue ruching at the neckline and the bottom.

Reaching the patry it was on full swing and for the first time in your entire life you felt wanted.

Reaching James he pulled out a seat for you and kissed your cheek in welcoming your freinds followed suit to the drinks area where everyone was hanging out.

After talking with everyone and james getting up to get you drinks a few hours had passed by you had played some games and now as you were about to go to play something else.

James pulled you back and whispered "do you wanted to go up?"

You of course had to initiate it you told your friends you would.

So when you friends were around you started to kiss his jaw and made it look like you were whispering something in his ear.

And he replied with a yeah of course baby before leading you up to his dorm.

"Gosh I'm so tired" james yelled before plopping on the bed.

"Really i thought james potter's party drive was high."

"It is just not tonight"

James was laying on his stomach trying to dig out his record when you decided it would be a great idea to tickle him.

He looked offended to say the least "did you just tickle me?" you just shruged "oh you are so in for it" he stated before you decided to run for it.

He was chasing you all over the dorm and you landed on his bed again he took this opportunity to pin both your hands above your head and tickle you.

Going back to her dorm she went in inside only to see her friends already back from the party.

Shaking you reached his dorm hesitant to knock and just before your hand was centimeters from doing so the door opened and there stood the man you longed you started doubting your decision.

James asked you to come in but you refused standing in the doorway leaning on the frame you began speaking.

After a few moments of silence while james looked like he was deciding something you decided to leave.

"Wait please wait."

But you resisted the cries and went on it was the nice thing to do for them.

You went to your dorm after that and collapsed on your bed that was probably the most hardest thing you have ever done and it hurt it hurt so much.

By the time you woke up to someone knocking on the door your eyes were all swollen and red and your cheeks had the tear stains still on them and everything about your face yelled you were crying though you didn't care.

But when you opened the door you wished you would had James was there and him seeing that you were crying was not the best thing.

"Y/n- he began before pausing and asking if were you crying.

"No I had something in my eye" you said frantically.

"Anyways did you want something?"

"Actually can I say something?"

"Yeah of course come inside"

"Y/n" he began once again "You said it's been way too long but i honestly feel like it's been mere seconds because every moment i spend with you i don't even realise I'm living it just because of your existence you have completely and totally mesmerised me and I yearn for you and it - it breaks my heart you cannot see that .

"What about Lily?" you whispered.

"I told her weeks ago I don't like her but still stayed with you because I like just being with you merlin I like doing nothing with you."

"I don't believe-"

He held you wrist and pulled you to look towards him holding your face in his hands.

"This feels like home you feel like home to me why don't you get that you are the sole reason why I exist and always will be and I love you y/n more than i will ever be able to say."

You started crying again pushing him lightly "you big idiot."

"So do you love me?"

You didn't answer just pulled his face towards yours smashing your lips against his him holding on to you so tight that if he lets go you will slip away.

Turns out all the books were wrong there are no fireworks in true love there's only comfort and that was exactly what you felt.

"It's too cold y/n." He pouted sitting on the plank barely letting his feet dip in the water in which you were standing. "It really isn't, you should listen to someone who's actually in the water."

It had been almost ten minutes of you convincing him to get in the water with you with no success. You splashed some of the water on his face to convince him more but that didn't help your case.

You had decided it was the perfect day for a swimming date, and it would have been if both of you were actually swimming. You had chosen the perfect swimming suit that you had bought weeks ago waiting for thw weather to get a little warm.

You rose to your full height almost up to his face and he leaned in just as your lips were about to meet you shook your head, the water droplets from your hair sprinkling everywhere making him scrunch his face and resulted into you giggling.

"Hey look, is that a bunny?" you pointed in a general direction just to distract him while you grabbed his hand and pulled him into the water with all your might. You both landed in the water with a splash and he was flabbergasted not expecting you to pull him in.

"See it's not cold." You grinned at him while he pulled you in with his hands on your waist. "I suppose you're right." He hummed and you nodded while locking your hands behind his back.

"I always am." You looked up at him and he was grinning just as you were. "She's humble too, ladies and gentlemen." He waved his hands around like a showman and you couldn't help but laugh.

"Shut up and kiss me." You finally said after recovering from the giggles that kept erupting. "Yes ma'am."
