Are you much of a sweets/candy person? Or a chocolate person? If yes, what are your favourites? :))) Ooh what candy or chocolate you always turn down because you’re really not keen on it?
I am very much a sweets & candy person. Don't really dislike chocolate but it's never my first choice. I love me some gummies, candy pencils and lollipops 🍬🍭
Chocolate is ok I guess but I won't eat as is. Choco cookies (I have an addiction to cookies in general) and white choco Kinder buenos are my go to. My fave choco cookie is Prince 😭 which unfortunately I can no longer buy easily (and cheap) in the UK so I only eat it when I go back home.... Very sad indeed...
Turn downs will have to be licorice and sour candy 😖 I don't like sour or bitter things and candy that is not sweet makes no sense to me 😅 If offered I will almost always decline chocolate unless it's a drink

Flower Garden 🌸
Tumblr media Tumblr media
imagine planning a picnic with Jaemin. you wanted to surprise him so you came to his house an hour before your meeting time. you looked at your basket which was filled with sandwiches before pressing on the doorbell.
"oh sweetie! aren't you early? come in!". Jaemin's mother opened the door and invited you in. you smiled and gave her a hug. "i actually wanted to surprise Jaemin hehe," . Jaemin's mother chuckled and patted your head.
"i heard you both were going on a picnic. so i decided to bake some choco chip cookies with sea salt! your favourite!". you widened your eyes and smiled happily. "really?". Jaemin's mother nodded before replying. "it will be ready in a few minutes. in the meantime, why don't you go greet Jaemin? he should be in his room getting ready,". you nodded and excused yourself before going upstairs.
you knocked on his door softly before opening it. you peeked in a little and giggled when you saw the lump on Jaemin's bed. "so much of getting ready,". you whispered to yourself and approached Jaemin. you covered your mouth to prevent yourself from laughing loudly. the sight of your boyfriend sleeping was surely not the most beautiful but it was the cutest. Jaemin's head was tilted to the side, his mouth was wide open, and he was drooling. you rested one of your knees at the edge of his bed and took out your phone to take some photos of Jaemin. you giggled with every snap. you froze when Jaemin fidgeted. you thought you woke him up but Jaemin just wanted to grab his blanket. Jaemin pulled his blanket a little too hard and pulled you along . you lost your balance and fell on top of Jaemin, knocking his chin with your head. a few seconds later, you heard his voice groaning in pain. Jaemin then slowly opened his eyes only to see you staring back at him.
"aish you scared me,". Jaemin mumbled before wrapping his arms around you. "su--surprise?". you mumbled as your cheeks were squished against his chest.
Jaemin chuckled and rubbed your back. "can we just cuddle today?". Jaemin mumbled with his groggy voice. You slapped his arm and shook your head. "we promised to go picnic today! and besides, i made your favourite sandwich!". Jaemin whined for a few seconds before letting you go. "alright, i'll go wash up. can you pick something for me to wear? i honestly don't know what to choose.". Jaemin said and pouted as you stood up from his bed. "tsk you are such a baby!". You said and knocked his head softly. you were about to go to his wardrobe when Jaemin called your name. "aren't you forgetting something?". you rolled your eyes and chuckled. "i'm not giving you a morning kiss until you clean your drool hun,". you poked his forehead . Jaemin pouted deeper and wiped his drool agressively before stomping towards the bathroom. you only shook your head at his behaviour and chose a pink outfit for your boyfriend which matched your plain purple dress.
Jaemin set up the mat at a spot in the flower garden where there weren't any other people. you organised the food before sitting down next to Jaemin. Jaemin interwined your hands before sighing in relief. the both of you sat in silence for a while, enjoying the breeze and the scent of the flowers around you.
after eating the food the both of you brought, Jaemin instructed you to pose a few poses with the flowers, modelling for his 'photoshoot'. you were not really the type that likes to take photos because you were awkward. but Jaemin guided you gently as he took beautiful photos of you. "that's right love, you are doing great! beautiful as always !". you would chuckle and snatch his camera from him. "ok babe, come on , pose handsomely. yah Na Jaemin! handsomely! not aegyo! haihh,". you sighed when your boyfriend insisted on doing aegyo while you took photos of him. nevertheless you still tried your best taking from his best angles like how he did for you.
after a long nice photoshoot, the both of you sat back on the mat, reviewing the photos. laughing and giggling at some funny candid photos. Jaemin told you that you have improved your skills in taking photos. definitely better than Jeno. you smiled and thanked him before lying down on his lap. Jaemin automatically carresed your hair and played with it.
"Jaemin ah, do you love me?".
Jaemin chuckled and nodded . "of course i do love you.".
"will you love me forever?". you asked again while playing with his other hand that wasn't in your hair.
Jaemin did not answer immediately and hummed before responding.
"i can't promise you something i don't know. i can't promise you the future. but i can promise that in the present,i will try my best to not hurt you and will give you the best of the best memories. i will love you for as long as i can and i hope you could do that for me too, sweetie.".
you smiled at his response and nodded.
"salty sweet as always. just like my favourite cookies.". you whispered. Jaemin chuckled as you compared him to food.
Jaemin gently cupped your face and leaned down before capturing your warm lips with his soft ones.
The both of you enjoyed the sweet kiss surrounded by sweet scented flowers , the flowers so colourful just like the kiss you were sharing with your lovely boyfriend. "I love you Na Jaemin.".

Cutie Reviews: TokyoTreat Nov 19
Just a heads up for anyone who might not have been informed, I never received my December Tokyo Treat box, so there will not be a December review.
Tumblr media
“It’s finally November which means its the time of year when all the delicious new autumn snack flavors are released in Japan! Each region is known for their specialty dish or flavor so we wanted to bring you on an adventure across Japan to try flavors from various regions around the country! So hop on the Japan Express and discover all the incredible fall treats from across Japan in this months box!“
For this months contest, the winner could receive Kirby and Rilakkuma themed goods, while the Lucky Treat consists of items from series like Pokemon, Monster Hunter, and Evangelion.
Apple Coke & DIY
Tumblr media
(See top for pic of the drink)
I’ve had this DIY before and I was greatly... unhappy with it, I made a review post on it in the past so I won’t bother with it here. However, I will say that this was inspired by the fishing hot-spot in Japan, Shizuoka.
Our drink item is a brand new Coca Cola inspired by the amazing apples hailing from Aomori. But this kind of confused me, because I was very sure I’ve had this drink before. The packaging reminds me of something, and I could have sworn I tasted the flavor before. . .
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
New or old, it doesn’t matter. This was very tasty and refreshing, especially if you like apples! It had a faint apple pie (apple + cinnamon) scent and taste, but it was overwhelmingly apple without question. The coke portion wasn’t very noticeable in comparison, but I really liked it~
Apple Mochi & Anpanman Apple Gummies
Tumblr media
Our last two Aomori representatives are also apple flavored, we got 1 of each apple color with this box :P These are also other flavors of an item I had in the past.
First we have this package of small, hard jelly-like cubes of apple-flavored mochi. These are a fairly easy to find item (I see them on Amazon a lot when I browse Asian snacks/candy), and come in a variety of flavors. Like most Mochi these have a very chewy texture, but unlike most Mochi, these are more on the firm, harder side.
♥ ♥
I usually like these, I’ve had 2-3 different flavors before this one, but unlike them I have to say I could barely taste the apple flavor at all. It’s mostly marshmallowy with a faint hint of a green apple aftertaste. I didn’t dislike them, but I can’t say this would be the brands best representative either.
- - - - -
I’d like to say I was excited to see these but having had prior, poor experience with this brands gummies, I really wasn’t. Basically, these have a very thin papery, dissolving film behind them and it likes to stick to things, and they are very hard to remove. I believe partly this was because of my own doing in keeping them for longer than intended, but I’m not 100% sure. Either way it was a nightmare trying to eat the last pack we got, so I wasn’t sure how this time would go.
Luckily, I was able to peel off most of the paper and pull them out with little struggle using the toothpick from the prior candy. The paper also dissolves, so you can suck on it and just spit that part out if you have trouble removing it.
♥ ♥
They tasted very good, but like the grape ones I noticed a light strange after-taste, which can be a little repelling if you eat them all at once. I mainly rated this one on the whole “ordeal” that comes with it. But as I said, if you open them to eat after getting them it might not be a problem?
Brown Sugar Bar & Matcha Sandwich Cookies
Tumblr media
Next we’ll be taking a temporary rest stop in Okinawa, a tropical island located in the Southern area of Japan. This crispy brown sugar and Honey bar will melt in your mouth (if you can resist chewing on it~) and is 28 calories.
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
It’s very sweet but avoids being cloying, and while I’m not a big honey girl by any means, I only really tasted a little of it and wasn’t turned off by the flavor. The flavor lingers in the mouth for sometime after eating, but its not unpleasant.
- - - -
I strongly dislike green tea so I wasn’t looking forward to this, even though I love cookies >3< the matcha flavoring is inspired by Kyoto, the green tea capital of Japan. We get a whole box of these little sandwich cookies, making them the perfect partner to any tea party or picnic.
Unless you’re like me and don’t like green tea that is. . . .
♥ ♥
If you like green tea then chances are you will love these :D but I found the taste unbearable, too strong, and bitter. I keep trying to overcome it but I just don’t like green tea, in fact I think I came close to gagging if not for the plain cookie itself.
Thankfully, my mom loves green tea so I just gave the box to her.
Hojicha Kit Kats & Chocolate Pie
Tumblr media
Before leaving Kyoto, how about we enjoy some kit kats? Don’t be deceived though, these are actually green tea flavored, sorta. Hojicha is “green tea roasted over charcoal for a deep flavor“.
♥ ♥
These are actually okay. Not that great, but they don’t really taste like green tea either so I didn’t find them horrible. If anything I was more bothered by their grey coloring and grainy texture. I feel like these would go nice with some tea or maybe a chocolate drink, or some coffee.
- - - -
Saitama is known for its delicious chocolate, so for this month, we can enjoy this adorable little chocolate pie- which instantly made me think about the ones from McDonalds as of late.
This pie consists of an ultra-flaky and salted crust surrounding a thin layer of chocolate.
♥ ♥ ♥
The saltiness of the crust was a little surprising but I didn’t hate it. That and the flakiness brought to mind an actual pastry one would buy at a cafe or shop, it was lovely. But the cream inside had a slight bitterness (I like dark chocolate though so it didn’t bother me), and I really wish the flavor was either stronger, or that there was more of it.
Constellation Cookie & Mochi Choco
Tumblr media
Still in Saitama we have this adorable Constellation Cookie, which features a thick chocolate disc on top of a smaller biscuit. The chocolate has a drawing of 1 random constellation, and surrounding it is the date it is active, its name in English, and Japanese writing (its name in Kanji maybe?).
It’s hard to see, but I got Scorpio; which is ironically the sign after mine, the sign before my Moms, and it belongs to my Uncle. My sign is Libra, which is actually depicted on the packaging (its a bear with a pair of scales).
♥ ♥ ♥
This was pretty tasty, I sort of had my hopes up that it would be like this box of cookies I love getting from the store. But it wasn’t really like it at all, the chocolate had a bit of a bitter, chocolate pudding-like taste, and the biscuit was very plain. It was still pretty good though, and I love the cute idea and drawings on it.
- - - -
Meanwhile, over at Yamanashi we have its popular chewy and delicious mochi. This chocolate mochi is 117 calories and consists of a thin chocolate coat to accent the fluffy chocolate cream filling. Mochi is a fluffy, chewy, partially sticky pounded rice sweet that is available in a variety of styles and flavors.
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
It’s very yummy! It’s soft and chewy with a light sweetness. The texture might be a little odd to those unfamiliar with it, and it can be a bit of a mess if you try to pull it apart, but I would definitely recommend trying it if you get the chance.
Dorachoco & Kibidango
Tumblr media
Besides mochi, Dorayaki is another well-known and popular Asian treat. The hustling and bustling capital of Japan, Tokyo is well known for delicious Dorayaki. For anyone unfamiliar with this item, Dorayaki is basically a pair of pancake-like pieces of dough that is filled with cream or jam of some sort. It’s like the fluffy equivalent of a Taiyaki, the fish-shaped snack.
This specific Dorayaki is chocolate filled :3
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
For such a small treat its very flavorful. It has a bit of an unique taste that I really can’t describe, and you definitely need a drink with this one. It’s very “thick“ and coats the mouth and throat, so it can dry it out if you eat both of them in one sitting, or at once.
- - - -
Our next item is a peach-flavored bar featuring the legendary Momotaro, who came from the Okayama prefecture. The bar is 52 calories.
Honestly I didn’t like this at all. Not only did it have a more harder version of the plastic from the Anpanman gummies- but it doesn’t taste like peach at all. I really don’t know if it was a mistake or if the writer didn’t try it because to me it was extremely nutty; like peanut butter. I didn’t hate it (and I do hate peanuts btw), but I couldn’t bring myself to finish eating the piece in my mouth.
Brown Sugar Porickey & Takoyaki Umaibo
Tumblr media
Porickey are yummy pretzel sticks that we’ve seen before in this box (along with the similar Pretz), and this is a brown sugar flavor, once again bringing us back to Okinawa.
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Oddly these don’t taste anything like brown sugar to me. BUT I actually really like these :D they taste exactly like honey wheat pretzels I get from a store sometimes. They have a very faint sweetness to them.
- - - - -
Takoyaki of course can only be from Osaka (Not really, but its THE Takoyaki place in Japan), and I’ve had this Umaibo before so I won’t waste time. This isn’t fishy or oceany tasting at all, it reminds me a lot of a “condiment“ you would have on something, and I really like its taste!
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Corn Potage Snack & Potato Snack Corn Potage
Tumblr media
(Is it stupid that the names of these two snacks actually made me step back and be like wut.)
Our next two snacks are bringing us to Hokkaido, one of my favorite locations in Japan x3 It has many specialties, including corn; which is one of my favorite too!
I believe I’d had both of these snacks in the past at some point, and they’re pretty similar in terms of flavoring. They both have a sweetened buttery taste, the only difference being that one is a puffy snack, while the other is crispy with a slightly more salty taste.
They both get ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
Atsugi Luxury Potato
Tumblr media
Hokkaido is also known for its potatoes, as well as sea urchin. So our last snack has combined the best of both worlds to bring us a luxury chip with sea urchin flavoring.
The bag was severally under-stuffed, but that’s probably a good thing because somehow the entire bag is 333 calories!
♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
I’ve never had sea urchin before, but I was expecting a fishy taste so I’m very happy it wasn’t the case when I tried them. The taste is pretty normal potato chip, with a saltiness and scent bringing to mind some sort of jerky. I thought they were pretty good though.
♥ Cutie Ranking ♥
Content - 4 out of 5. There was a decent amount of repetition in this box, and a few items I wasn’t very fond of, but I liked this box. I wish we got a better DIY though <_< Theme - 5 out of 5. I loved the idea of experiencing the different lands in Japan through their foods. We’ve probably had this going on already, but I like how they were addressing it with this box. I think they did a great job! Total Rank: 8 out of 10. I would recommend this one, especially for those interested in learning a little more about Japan. The only thing I wish is that maybe we had a few more unique or different items to more represent the Asian culture.
♥ Cutie’s Scale of Yummy ♥
1. Potato Snack Corn Potage - extremely flavorful! Perfect for corn lovers, like me :3  2. Apple Coke - It’s very strong in realistic apple flavoring. I really enjoyed it. 3. Corn Potage Snack - It was really good, and its crispy texture was nice but I think I liked the other corn snack a lot more. 4. Mochi Choco - this one would be another good choice to have with some milk, after you eat it. It wasn’t as sweet as one might think, but it was yummy.
5. Takoyako Umaibo - It’s a sort-of unique flavoring for them, but I really like it!  6. Chips - I didn’t hate these, even if they weren’t as unique as I was thinking they would be. 7. Chocolate Dorayaki - You definitely need some milk with this one! 8. Porickey - Eating made me feel nostalgic, I really want to go to the store for some honey wheat pretzels~ 9. Constellation Cookie - I wish we could have gotten 2 per-pack. Tasted good, but it could have been a teensy-bit better too.   10. Brown Sugar Bar - it was sweet and the melt in your mouth texture was very pleasant.    11. Chocolate Pie - plenty tasty but it had room for improvement.    12. Anpanman Gummies - this time was better than previously, otherwise I would have completely given up on these.   13. Green Apple Mochi - they weren’t as flavorful as I had hoped.
14. Hojicha Kit Kats - I didn’t find it unbearable like the items following this, but I didn’t like them very much either.
15. Kibidango - too complicated to unwrap, not very tasty in my opinion.
16. Green Tea Cookies - nuff said.

Cheers for Churros!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was a Saturday afternoon your typical "calm before the storm". Me and my friends wanted to treat ourselves and satisfy our cravings. As we walk through the mall's grocery mart, we pass by a cute-sy kind of what seems like a pastry café, which turned out to be a churro place.
La Lola Churreria, a churro café located in the Ground Level, The Block, SM City North EDSA, was the first place that we spotted. The place is not that huge, also enough for your "tambayan" with your squad. There are high chairs and tables, and the walls are colored with orange and black. All in all, the ambiance of the place pretty chill.
The café's menu is not really that many, considering the fact that the place is just a churreria. But, the place offers a twist on your typical churro, wherein they offer those chocolate or cookies and cream churro. As for our group, we decided to purchase the plain ones and ordered them with large cup of chocolate dip. When we got the food, it was placed in a paper cone (so it is convenient to hold!). The food that we ordered costs ₱295 (and that consists of 12 pieces of churro), we thought that it was actually expensive, but we thought that it was worth it because each piece of churro was actually really big! The churro was crispy and a bit salty on the outside, like a french fry (but not really a french fry), and the inside was soft (and really hot so you better be careful with eating it!). The chocolate dip is also a perfect combination for the churro because it is not really that sweet, just enough to give flavour to the plain churro.
As for the staff, they were actually pretty approachable. One of us asked to take a photo, though videos are not allowed, they let us took photos. They were easy to talk too.
The place is perfect if you want to just eat some churro that you crave with your squad while having a small chit-chat. The only thing that we advise though — to secure the high chairs because the chairs are wiggling a bit, thus making it scary to sit on. The chocolate dip servings are a bit expensive, considering the fact that the amount of choco are not that many. Maybe add more chocolate? That will do!
Go and visit La Lola's Churreria on your next churro craving!

The Unoffical Official Halloween Candy Currency Exchange Guide
New Post has been published on https://nofspodcast.com/unoffical-official-halloween-candy-currency-exchange-guide/
The Unoffical Official Halloween Candy Currency Exchange Guide
Halloween night approaches! Soon, children and once-were children will fill residential streets armed with sacks, buckets and pillowcases (do they still use pillowcases?), collecting candy from strangers- nay, neighbours. And, if you’re too tall or too hairy (like myself and Jonathan. I’ll let you decided which is which) to pass as a child and score all the free candy to be had by bellowing “TRICK ER TREAT, MATE” (as a young child would), Halloween also marks the occasion when treat size boxes of candy in timely, spooky packaging all gets marked to clearance.
So, round up your candy stash and gather your siblings/beer buddies – let’s made a trade.
  TRADEZIES
To create balance and fairness, all candies have been determined an approximate value based on their desirability and deliciousness. These values have been deemed Tradezies.
To initiate a trade, find the Tradezie value of the snack you would like to acquire from the party’s stash. Using the guide below, create a counter-offer that equals the exact same number of Tradezies. Set party may refute or accept your offer. Should they make a counter-offer, they must adhere to the Tradezie values set herein. Should they wish to break the Tradezie balance, they must argue a case as to why their particular treat is worth more than its stated Tradezie denomination.
Example:
Margaret has a large Twix bar that you would very much like to posses. Her Twix bar is worth 35 Tradezies.
In return for her Twix bar, you will give her- 2 Funsize Snickers (20 Tradezies), 1 Bag of Doritos (10 Tradezies) 3 Rockets (3 Tradezies), and 1 Package of Nerds (2 Tradezies). This selection of treats totals 35 Tradezies; the same as that glorious Twix bar.
Margaret does not like Rockets, so she instead requests 1 Package of Pop Rocks (3 Tradezies) in its place.
You agree.
Trade!
In the even of fairness disputes, consult an unbiased third party; mom or dad. Also, a third party should be brought in to denote the approximate value of a snack that does not fit into the categories listed below.
Note: Those who consulted this handy chart found a massive decrease in Big Brother Syndrome.
    CLASSICS
Twizzler (2 pack) – 5 Tradezies
Twizzler (4 pack) – 10 Tradezies
Weird Twizzler (Rainbow/Blue) – 5 Tradezies
Chicklet Gum – 5 Tradezies per 3
Stale Brick Gum – 1 Tradezie
Gumball 6 pack – 2 Tradezies
Tootsie Roll – 5 Tradezies per 3
Rockets – 5 Tradezies per 3
Hard Candy (Purple, Orange, Green Apple, or Yellow) – 1 Tradezie
Hard Candy (Blue, Red, Pink, Green Watermelon) – 2 Tradezies
Candycorn – Not Quantifiable. 1 Tradezie per mittful?
  Candy
Sweet Tarts (Roll) – 5 Tradezies per 3
Sweet Tarts (Large, Single) – 1 Tradezie
Candy Necklace – 5 Tradezies
Boring Lollipop (2D Circle) – 1 Tradezie
Blow-pop (3D Oval) – 5 Tradezies per 2
Ring Pop – 7 Tradezies
Funsize Gummies (Maynard’s or Allens) – 3 Tradezies
Funsize Skittles – 4 Tradezies

Cutie Reviews: Tokyo Treat July 18
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This months prize item features everyone’s favorite Lazy Egg Gudetama. Meanwhile, the Lucky Treat features a variety of dragon ball, kit-kats, Pokemon, and Korilakkuma!
Tumblr media
Uji Matcha Jelly
(see pic on top of the post!)
This interesting drink is vaguely similar to a melon jelly drink we got last year. But this is a different green drink- this one is made from matcha/green tea! There is a layer of green tea beneath a layer of creamy vanilla sauce. All you’re instructed to do is shake it to break up the jelly and mix the contents of the drink.
This is by the brand Jeleets and they have a website you can visit to learn more about the product! This specific drink is 32 kcal.
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥
I really like it’s texture. I love jelly snacks, drinks, etc- and the texture is so fun and different. However, I don’t like green tea so I can’t say it’s flavor appeals to me much. It also seems a bit watered down, but that might be the vanilla sauce. If you like green tea then you’d probably enjoy this.
Kit Kats - Strawberry Cheesecake or Cookie and Cream & Chocolate Mint Twigs
Tumblr media
Our first item is unique in that it’s a special kit kat best enjoyed when chilled. We also had a random assortment of cookie and cream or strawberry cheesecake flavor. It’s not obvious in the picture, but I got 2 strawberry cheesecake and 1 cookie and cream; which is fine with me because I’m a cheesecake addict~♥
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
I liked the strawberry cheesecake flavor a lot more than the cookie and cream one; but they were both delicious.
This next item is a mint-choco snack by Morinaga, and there are 11 packets, each with 4 per-pack. Each pack is 31kcal.
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥
They’re okay. The package is adorable, and the twig/stick idea is cute. They do taste like mint-chocolate and they’re not terrible, but I can’t say they’re my favorite either. I mean for 31 calories per pack you’d be better off finding another, more filling snack. The crunchy texture is a bit... strange to me too.
Pineapple and Coconut Marshmallows & Okara Cheesecake Cookies
Tumblr media
Our next item is this fun perfect summer marshmallow snack; coming in coconut and pineapple flavors. The coconut is represented by a cute star shape, while pineapple fishies accompany them :3 besides eating them as is, you can also toast them, or make a dessert from the recipe the package provides. How cute!
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
I was a bit worried and undecided with our third (fourth?) snack. I love marshmallows but I hate coconut. I didn’t know if I’d like half of this one, but I was surprised to discover how light the flavor is. If you eat a few at the same time it does get stronger, but for me it’s perfect the way it is~
Our other item is this... relatively plain in comparison cheesecake cookie. It has a fig-like texture, and you get 2 small wrapped cookies per pack, each one (or the whole pack I’m not sure) is 99kcal. Each one contains okara, fiber, calcium, 5 types of vitamins, and iron.
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥
It’s just okay. I get a very light sort of... lemonish taste, but it’s otherwise kind of dry and not too interesting. But if you like light tastes and want a nice chewy cookie with tea or something, I’d say it’s a good match.
Pretty Cure Chocolate Wafer
Tumblr media
I love Pretty Cure so I got really excited to see this. I really wish they included more magical girls in these boxes. Anyway, this is a chocolate wafer snack, they make them for all sorts of series. What makes this set special though is that it includes nail stickers~
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
I know what you’re thinking, it’s super-thin so it’s probably not too good, huh? Well actually, it has a lot of flavor despite that. I love the light crispy texture of chocolate wafer snacks and Japan has found some way of making it delicious no matter what form it comes in~
Rich BBQ Potato Sticks & Poteko Potato Rings
Tumblr media
I think I’ll switch it up a little bit and start with the Poteko Potato snack because we get it pretty often don’t you think? This is the share pack item for the month, and each bag is 89.2 kcal. It’s a basic salted potato flavor.
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥
The flavor is delicious, the shape is cute and fun... but I’m actually rating this in the middle because I’m kinda tired of it. I hate repetition and we get a lot of these basic Poteko Potato snacks in this box. I understand that because there are new subscribers and not everyone gets the same stuff; but....
Anyway, let’s turn things around with this deliciously mouth watering orgasmic snack next~
If you can’t tell I’m in love with it~
The Rich BBQ Potato Stick snack is packaged in a way that you only need one hand to eat them. Although there is a warning on the back that you should be careful when ingesting them because you can hurt your throat or because they put something in the pack...?? I’m not sure, I tried to look but I didn’t see anything.
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ +100
They’re so amazing I don’t even care it’s nearly 300 calories in this single bag! They’re delicious and remind me of yummy teriyaki jerky, and delicious barbecue~ If you see this you should pick them up!
Butter Toast and Sesame Biscuits
Tumblr media
Besides the share packs, we also get a party pack for this month! We get several packs of Butter Toast biscuits, and sesame biscuits. One of them is 144.2kcal per bag, the other is 139.9kcal.
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
See, I love variety like this. I wish we got more stuff like these. They’re both pretty tasty- but I was a little disappointed by the sesame ones, which actually taste a lot like peanut butter to me. I like sesame seeds, but not peanut butter...
The butter toast ones are like a sweet buttery flavor. It’s simple, but pleasant.
Cheese Umaibo & Koikeya Tempura Matcha Salt Chips
Tumblr media
Cheese Umaibo, been there done that. I don’t feel like rating it again so I’ll just say ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ It’s still not my favorite, but it tasted better than before. I must be getting used to it.
Meanwhile, our next item is a little more exciting; it’s a uniquely titled chip to go with the rest of our potato snacks :D Each full bag is 323kcal and features the combination of delicious fried tempura, salt, and Matcha green tea.
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥
They taste like average salty chips. It’s a little disappointing- but perhaps I just don’t have a fine-tuned palette to notice the difference? The green coloring is fun though.
Konpeito & Grape Soda Gummy
Tumblr media
Konpeito are sweet little “sugar bits“ that come in a variety of colors inspired by beautiful flowers. You can even find flavored ones, and I see them all the time on Amazon too if you ever wanted to try them x3
The color we could get was a complete random- but what’s funny is that in one of my first few snack boxes we got Konpeito, and they were the same colors for me. The box had been Sakura themed.
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥
I mean who doesn’t love eating sugar? They dissolve quickly and are nice if you want a little sweet. I can’t say they’re anything super-special though? They are cute though.
Our final item is this large grape soda gummy. From the looks of it you might think it’s a sour gummy, but it isn’t. It’s a regular gummy and 39kcal; you could say it’s about the same as eating a pack of the choco-mint twigs.
Rating: ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
This gummy is made to reflect a fizzy soda. I can’t say I really got fizziness from it, but it was delicious.
♥ Cutie Ranking ♥
Content - 3 out of 5. I liked nearly everything, but it felt kinda repetitive to me. We got the same poteko potato chips, the same cheese umaibo... I love getting savory items but most of them were just plain salty chips.
Theme - 4 out of 5. I mean I get it with their descriptions, but a lot of these also don’t fit the camping theme, but summer in general... but summer = camping. But a few didn’t fit either, at least to me.
Total Rank: 12 out of 15 Cuties. I really did enjoy the box; although there was a few items I wasn’t so crazy over. But the top ones I LOVED made up for them. At least there was nothing I found unbearable or outright detested this time.
♥ Cutie’s Scale of Yummy ♥
1. Rich BBQ Potato Sticks - Mouth Orgasm City~
2. Grape Soda Gummy - I love gummies, and soda, and grapes!
3. Butter Toast biscuit - I like butterfly flavors and it’s light saltiness made it taste even better.
4. Strawberry Cheesecake kit kat - I love strawberries, I love cheesecake. It was meant to be~
5. Koikeya Chips - Even though it was disappointing not to taste anything but saltiness, they were still good.
6. Chocolate Wafer - They’re always delicious- even if it’s super thin, it has a lot of flavor! I love it’s crisp texture~
7. Cheese Umaibo - Surprisingly, it was better than the last time! I think I’m still recovering from the June box cheesesnack though <_<
8. Poteko Potato - It’s fine, but I’m kinda tired of the plain, basic flavor.
9. Chocolate Mint Twigs - I wanted to love these more than anything. But they’re just okay.
10. Konpeito - Nothing special, but they’re fine just the same.
11. Sesame Biscuit - Not enough sesame, too much peanut butter taste DX
12. Cookie and Cream Kit Kat - it’s better than past Cookie and Cream flavored things I have. I normally love this flavor, but for some reason the Asian type I’m not crazy about.
13. Marshmallows - As much as I love marshmallows... I kinda wish they were all just pineapple, or maybe had a stronger flavor; or even none at all.
14. Jelly Drink - Nothing personal, I just hate green tea >3< I gave the rest of it to my mom. She loves green tea.
15. Okara Cheesecake Cookie - it’s not bad, but it’s just not my thing either.
Like usual, I will be following this review up with a review on the DIY candy that was included in the box. Be sure to stay tuned for that!
Until next time, stay campfire toasty cutie!
