Imagine acedemic rival! beomgyu trying to confess to you on valentines day, to tell you that he thinks that you're really cute, and that he liked you ever since you threw that snarky remark at beomgyu at the first day of school.
He tells you to meet with him after school, with a tender look in his eyes that told you he was being serious. You accept, and now you stand infront of Choi Beomgyu under the mongolia tree wondering what the actual fuck he just said.
"You like me?" The blush in his face deepens as he looks to the ground, away from your eyes, hiding his clammy hands behind his back as he stammers for an answer.
"Y-yeah, I do, so what!? I-I mean... you don't have to say yes-" He was cut off by the feeling of your lips on his, eyes flutting shut as his hands find their place on your cheek, not pulling away because this is what he's been waiting for since the begining. You pull away with a smile and red ears, giggling at his stunned reaction.
"I like you too, dummy"

It is a rather saddening truth, that a woman's worth is determined by her eligibility in finding a suitor worthy enough to bring honor to her family name. Because of these circumstances which our protagonist finds herself in, girls are raised to be the perfect contender in the ruthless competition of matrimony. Childhood seems to end in a single breath, and by the next inhalation, they've traded their dolls for cooking utensils and sewing kits, training for their inevitability. This is how it is, and this is how it shall always be. And yet some just seem to never quite grasp these universal truths.
From the moment she gained sentience, it seemed as though (y/n) was just another breed entirely. The kitchen became more a wasteland than anything else. Her embroidery could be identified by the specks of crimson blood adorning her incomprehensible cross stitch. The laundry would somehow return more filthy than when it had first been collected. It's known that girls are naturally taller than boys at a young age, though (y/n) continued to surpass the boys of her age group in height, her legs extending to the point that she deemed it superfluous for her to continue her waltzing lessons with such clumsy, gangly limbs—at least that's what she insisted, pushing aside the fact that she never really understood the basic maneuvers in dancing even before she had grown so tall.
Indeed, (y/n) seemed to be a lost cause. And after seven failed suitors, her mother finally gave in and accepted the fact that her first born daughter was to be an old maid till the end of her days. And so here lied (y/n), writing away in the privacy of her room, her one safe haven from the pressures of society and the expectations of her family. Seated at her desk, freshly inked quill in her hand as she jotted down her stories, the chill air of autumn seeping through the window she faced, and the only sounds filling her room was the scraping of her writing implement against the smooth parchment. If only this could forever be her world. Away from those inhibitions which plague her life, left alone with just her thoughts in tranquility. Though this peace lasted for no more than a few moments before she heard the telltale light footsteps descending down the stairs, followed by the familiar rapping at her door. And as per usual, (y/n) hadn't but a moment to gather her thoughts before the door was pushed open, and in came (y/n)'s youngest sister.
Their family consisted of three girls. There was the eldest, that being (y/n), of course.
The second eldest was named Eleanor, meaning light-hearted and shining. She was soft spoken with a melodious lilt to her voice which seemed to enrapture anyone in the room. So it wasn't a surprise that she was the first, and so far the only one, of the three to be married.
The youngest was called Aurelia, a name which carried as much grace as she displayed. Golden one was what it meant, and she seemed to naturally fit into this title bestowed upon her. Refined in how she acted and portrayed herself, and she was as delicate and dainty as a lisianthus.
And as elegant as her name dictates, Aurelia came waltzing into the room, her steps as light as air and a bright smile adorning her face.
"Oh, (y/n)," she sighed. "I couldn't be happier than I am at this very instance."
"And why's that?" Aurelia all but collapsed onto her sister's bed, yet another story escaping past her lips.
"I had yet another wondrous rendezvous with Beomgyu."
Of course. Yet another spiel regarding her potential fiance. Why had she even bothered to ask? All Aurelia talks about these past few weeks is Beomgyu. He was the son of a Lord, and a gentleman among men. Though (y/n) wasn't aware of the circumstances in which they first met, Aurelia insists it was love at first sight, and that she had finally met the man she wished to spend the rest of her life with. As absolutely delighted as (y/n) was for her sister, she couldn't help but feel that familiar twinge of envy within her. That she supposedly wasn't suitable enough for the happiness which comes with sharing your life with another soul, a natural phenomena which has been occurring since the dawn of man. The thought that her ancestors, whom all married and given birth to her other relatives, have managed for so long only for her to be the end of their efforts.
"And as we walked through his estate's garden, he told me that I was fairer than any flower could ever possibly hope to be."
(y/n) controlled her expression, wanting so desperately to cringe at the repulsing display of affection, choosing to hum in acknowledgement. Who in their right mind has the gall to say such outlandish words as that?
"Aurelia!" Their mother's voice sounded from the first floor, garnering both of their attentions. "It seems you have a guest." Aurelia all but bounded off the bed and down the stairs as (y/n) slowly followed after. As she neared the steps, she could hear the shrill tone of her sister's excited voice, as well as an unfamiliar male one responding. Once (y/n) rounded the corner where the steps now faced the front door, she could see the source of this additional person. "(y/n), come meet our guest."
A man stood at the entrance of their abode, greeting their mother whilst having his arm entrapped in Aurelia's embrace. As he turned to face her descending the stairs, (y/n) felt her heart stutter in surprise.
Never before has she seen a man as ethereal as he. He seemed to not only easily tower over her disappointingly short sister, but also herself, a rarity in her community as she is usually the one to have to lower her gaze upon meeting a person. His hair was rather long, brushing against the back of his neck as well as curtaining much of his ears and forehead. Beneath the veil of brunette locks, however, lay a set of round eyes, deep yet as saccharine as the shade of chocolate they obtained. His nose was tall and straight, sloping down into a rounded tip which further softened his already rather youthful appearance. His rose-like lips spread into a jovial grin, round eyes crinkling endearingly. (y/n) felt absolutely stupid as he introduced himself, bowing his head ever so slightly in a respectful manner.
"Good evening to you, Lady (l/n) . I'm pleased to make your acquaintance."
"As am I," (y/n) warily spoke, attempting to keep her facade. Hoping to not reveal how genuinely awestruck she was to see such a handsome man. "To you, of course. Not my own acquaintance."
At this, Beomgyu burst into a fit of enthused laughter, intermingling with Aurelia's giggles from below them both.
"Isn't my sister such a delight!" Aurelia squeezed his arm to gain his attention, causing the two to drop their heads to acknowledge her. "Let's all have tea together! I know you only came to drop off my gloves, but I'd love for two of my favorite people to be familiar with one another."
And so there they sat in the parlor, an otherwise peaceful encounter if it weren't for (y/n)'s inner panic. She had never been good at etiquette, and never had to really use her limited knowledge, as she remained in her room rather than becoming a socialite much like her sisters. And so she kept a careful eye on Aurelia, attempting to follow her lead as best she can, concentrating so intensely that she had completely abandoned the conversation at hand.
"Would you agree, (y/n)?"
"Pardon?" She raised her head to where the two across from her sat staring back at her. "I apologize, my mind was elsewhere."
"Oh, that's entirely understandable, and also kind of takes us back to the topic at hand." Aurelia smiled once more, cradling her teacup and saucer close to her. "In which I was explaining how difficult it is to combat what your body naturally desires. For instance, the way your body just seems to follow along when a familiar tune plays," she slowly raised the teacup to her lips, "or perhaps correcting muscle memory." As she sipped her tea silently, her eyes traveled up to (y/n), though failing to meet her eyes. Instead, her gaze landed upon (y/n)'s hand, holding her teacup as well, though without a saucer, as well as extending her pinkie. She quickly tucked the finger back against her palm, just like her sister, which placed the joy back unto her face. "Isn't this delightful!"
"Indeed," (y/n) sighed out, tossing her head back and finishing off the tea in her cup. When she placed her dishes unto the table between them, she looked over once more to the two. They both had smiles across their face, though Aurelia's was in an attempt to hide her shock at (y/n)'s crude etiquette while Beomgyu's was pure, unadulterated enthusiasm, having to duck his head down at one point to conceal his amusement.
"If you'll excuse me," Aurelia stood up, hands neatly folded in front of her. "I need to powder my nose." Once she exited the room, Beomgyu burst into laughter once more, a sound unlike anything (y/n) has ever heard. It was full of vigor, uncaring of his environment, and just absolutely buoyant. It was so different to what she had heard from the front door before. This felt genuine, perhaps the first dose of honesty she's experienced from another person.
"Pardon me," Beomgyu wiped at his eyes, as if having shed a tear from his moment. "I've never seen Aurelia so close to snapping, that was absolutely hysterical."
"You're not offended?" (y/n) asked, softly chuckling in disbelief at the display before. Beomgyu lost the rigidity in his spine, now strewn back on the sofa cushions like a ragdoll.
"By what? Your lack of etiquette? I thought it was quite hilarious, in all honesty." (y/n) leaned back on the sofa as well, following the casual demeanor he was now exuding.
"Well, most people do indeed think my etiquette is laughable, though not in the good way."
"So be it. Etiquette is vexing in itself. I've never been a fan of learning it."
"Neither have I." He glanced over upon hearing her response, the edges of his lips twitching up ever so slightly. Though they remained silent afterwards, there seemed to be an air of comfort shrouding them, a feeling which (y/n) thought only possible in her own fiction. To be so aware of another person, entrusting of them, that the barriers which had been forticated for as long as she could remember began to slowly crumble, brick by brick. To voluntarily lay out what she's kept to herself for years, and to look at another person and not find ulterior motives beneath their mask of regality, concealing any and all signs of their humanity as they paraded about in luxury and grandeur. It felt so... relieving to (y/n) to have found another human amidst a world of mannequins.
Though once Aurelia returned, the masks were once more put up, backs straightening as she made her way back to her suitor.
That's right. Her suitor. The thought pained (y/n) in a way, though she brushed it off, savoring the last few moments with her new associate before he had to return to his own estate.
"Thank you for the tea," Beomgyu stated, bowing once more as Aurelia returned his gesture with a quaint curtsy.
"Thank you for the company." He then turned to (y/n), that same gentle smile from before gracing his features as he bowed his head to her.
"It was an honor to meet you."
"And you, as well." With one last nod of his head, Beomgyu departed.
"Isn't he just the sweetest soul you've ever met?" Aurelia squealed as she closed the door. And though she had already walked away from the foyer, (y/n) stood for a moment more, face heating up as she couldn't help but agree with her sister's query.
Days had passed, and the autumn chill had devolved into the winter cold. (y/n) spent most of her days bundled in blankets beside the fireplace, going through book after book in her collection. She could barely even turn the pages from her numbed fingers, let alone attempt to continue her writing. And beside her was her sister, similarly wrapped in a plethora of coats and layers, though the one difference between the two was the rather apparent distaste of the temperature on (y/n)'s part. Aurelia reveled in the cold, absolutely abhorring the sweltering heat of summer, and though she very easily became freezing with just the briefest of breezes, she still loved the frigid sensation which overwhelmed her body.
Which is why (y/n) now found herself away from her beloved fireplace, left shivering out in the unforgiving frozen hellscape because her sister wanted to celebrate the first snow. To make matters worst, Beomgyu stood beside (y/n), watching Aurelia frolic in the snowy landscape to her heart's content.
(y/n) was still shaken from her encounter with the man prior. She had assumed the event would have been long forgotten after a good night's sleep, though that did not come easy, as the boy had found a comfortable spot at the forefront of her mind.
She felt disgusted with herself. How easy it was to conjure the sounds of his laughter, like a lullaby placing her in a state of tranquility. How the coy grin he wears so often manages to set her heart aflutter. How she was so capable of etching his face into her memory. The guilt she felt every time she closed her eyes and envisioned him looking upon her with those doting eyes of his.
This was her sister's suitor. She needed to ground herself. Settle back into reality. Move past this sudden infatuation she has with him.
"I've always despised the cold." Beomgyu broke her out of her thoughts. She turned her head to see him looking down at her, that smirk on his face once more.
"So have I."
"Oh, so it doesn't run in the (l/n) blood?" (y/n) chuckled at this, shaking her head and turning back to Aurelia, already beginning to make a snowman.
"Absolutely not. My sister and I have both loathed winters."
"There is indeed beauty to a winter, though I agree. That beauty is rather surface level, and the further in you dig, the more suffering you'll uncover."
(y/n) huffed out a breath, watching it condense into a wispy cloud before fading away.
"Indeed."
A comfortable silence fell upon them once more as they watched the snowman slowly come to life. Naturally, (y/n) seemed to lean closer to Beomgyu, the heat of his body radiating off him in waves and seeming to lure her to him. Though she must've been rather obvious in her pursuit for warmth, because Beomgyu cleared his throat, startling her away from him.
"Here." He reached up and began unraveling the scarf around his neck, causing (y/n) to shoot her hands up and grab his wrists.
"No, please, keep it on."
"I insist. I would hate to hear that you became sick after this." He continued in removing his scarf, but (y/n) persisted.
"Well, I would equally hate to hear you have gotten sick." Beomgyu paused, widening his grin as he faced the snow beneath him. After a moment, seconds after (y/n) believed she had won the battle, he turned to her.
"Then it's only fair I at least share my scarf with you."
(y/n) stared at him incredulously as he offered the loose end of his scarf, though after she remained frozen in her place, Beomgyu reached over her, gently wrapping the other end around her neck. He had grown significantly closer to her, his nose almost skimming the skin of her forehead. The warmth of his breath fanned against her face, and she hoped that he'd assume the blush creeping up on her cheeks was nothing more than a result of the bitter winds.
He stepped back once he completed his work, though not far at all, laughing as the material tugged them back together, shoulder to shoulder. His scent was imbibed in the knitting, a warm sensation of cedar and coffee, seemingly swarming her in a sense of solace. Another glance to Aurelia, and it seemed her snowman was very nearly done, having donated her own scarf to him. She began making her way back to them, and (y/n) panicked, attempting to convince herself to remove herself from Beomgyu, though staying perfectly still as she approached.
"(y/n)! May I borrow your mittens?" She asked, supposedly unbothered by the display before her. As if by muscle memory, (y/n) shed her mittens, handing them over to her sister, who gratefully accepted them and made her way back to her creation. Though the mittens themselves weren't doing much to protect (y/n) from the cold, she still missed the near damp material that she believed was keeping her warm. Before she could even slip her hands into the pockets of her dress, a warm hand suddenly enveloped her own, tugging her closer to snatch the other one as well.
"What are you doing?" (y/n) questioned, the rosy tint of her cheeks increasing tenfold as he rubbed his palms against her clasped hands.
"Preventing you from getting sick." He explained. Before she could refute him, he raised their conjoined hands, breathing out unto her skin. The heat traveled up from the pads of her fingers directly to her chest where her poor heart seemed to thud away in nervousness. As if to make matters worst, he leaned in ever so slightly, eyes still trained on his task between them. "I like the way your hands fit into mine."
(y/n) yanked her hands away in a panic, staring back at Beomgyu who proceeded to only laugh fondly at her actions. Just as she untangled herself from his scarf, Aurelia returned, smiling brightly at the two of them.
"I've completed him! Let's have tea now." She linked her arm with Beomgyu, who shot (y/n) another glance before turning back and continuing his walk with Aurelia.
For weeks, it continued on with interactions such as this. Beomgyu approaching (y/n) only to have her scramble away in fear. Whenever Aurelia was busy, whether that be out shopping or spending time with the other ladies of high society, (y/n) found herself in the company of Beomgyu.
What had first begun as coincidences, him visiting only to be met with the absence of Aurelia, soon became frequent occurrences, to the point that it'd almost seem like he was only visiting on days he knew she'd be gone. He also had begun just automatically asking for (y/n), not even attempting to see if Aurelia were present.
What once was simple home visits became full fledged outings as Beomgyu insisted on taking her out once the snow had dissolved away. Though the air was still crisp and the threat of snow still lingered, it already seemed like winter's grasp on the land was begrudgingly weakening by the day.
So now here she sat in a rowboat, gripping a parasol as Beomgyu gently rowed them down the river. Though she had at first refused, Beomgyu continued to regale her with the forecast, telling her she'll never see a day as beautiful as this one. That he wanted ever so badly to share this splendor with her. At this point, (y/n) knew she was developing feelings for the boy, and she sensed he knew this and was using it against her. Yet her grumbling has all but ceased as she basked in the glory of the day.
It seemed as if spring had decided to make a brief appearance in January. The sun was out, its rays seemingly encompassing the earth in a golden haze. Sage greenery greeted her with every turn of her head, aside from the clear water below her that murmured with every jostle of the boat. And even as nature displayed its grandeur in such a way, her eyes still lingered upon the one who dragged her out of her house.
It was quiet between the two, with only the trickling sounds of water surrounding them, and yet (y/n) has never felt so at ease. Her heart ached at the thought of Beomgyu. How close, and yet so impossibly far from her he was. Because no matter how much she yearned for his touch, his affections, his everything, he was still and always will be her sister's.
These thoughts still lingered in her head, even as Beomgyu brought the boat back to shore and helped her out with the offer of his hand, she felt the immense guilt clutching at her, refusing to release her as long as she still saw him in such a way.
She glanced down, seeing how he was still holding her hand as he led her away from the shore. He often did reach out for her at times, and though she'd occasionally allow him to, she'd also pull away if it lasted too long. Though at this very moment, she couldn't find it in herself to slip away from his touch. As if noticing this, he stopped walking, turning around to face her.
His eyes were so soft, that same gentle brown she was becoming more and more obsessed with. Warm and smooth like melted chocolate, as if she could dive in and never resurface, though she wouldn't ever complain. The corners of his lips pulled up in a smile, and the grip he had on her tightened ever so slightly, as if hoping to keep her from slipping away again.
"What are you thinking?" (y/n) asked, snickering at Beomgyu's sudden expression. He paused for a moment more before exhaling through his nose in a subtle laugh.
"It's just much easier to look upon you," he whispered, though they remained the only ones in the general vicinity. "Yes, you do indeed give my neck some relief from craning downwards always," the two of them shared a giggle before he proceeded, "but I also find you... incredibly charming."
"Charming, you say?" (y/n) questioned, continuing to walk forward and cease the conversation, though Beomgyu still held her hand, not allowing her to abandon his touch.
"Charming. Fascinating. Endearing." He pressed on, tugging her in a way which caused her to spin back and face him. "Unique. Ambitious. Genuine." He stepped closer to her, so close she could once more feel his breath against her skin. "Lovely. Beautiful." His forehead leant on to hers, noses brushing together. "Flawed in the most perfect of ways." His voice gradually dropped until it was no more than a murmur under his breath, though his words revolved around her, muddling her mind with inner conflictions that all seemed to corrode away with just the mere thought of him and the way his hand was now resting on the side of her neck, thumb brushing against her cheek as he leaned in more and more.
She lowered her head, feeling the warmth of his lips brush against her forehead as she narrowly evaded his kiss.
"We can't." Beomgyu remained quiet for a second more before quirking his head to the side, attempting to meet (y/n)'s gaze now trained on the grass between them.
"We are both capable adults." She squeezed her eyes shut at how casual he was taking the situation, cursing him as she was forced to suffer the past few weeks because of him.
"I can't."
"Why not?" At this, she tossed her head back up to look at him, brows furrowed in confusion as he continued to smile.
"Are you mad? My sister adores you."
"Yes, she does." He confirmed with a nod.
"I will not hurt my sister's feelings in such a way." Beomgyu's expression faltered, his smile vanishing as his eyebrows lowered in confusion.
"And what of my feelings? Am I to be condemned to her side 'til death knocks upon my door? Are my feelings not any of your concern?" He squeezed the hand still in his, pressing his forehead once more onto hers. "I adore you, (y/n). You're correct, I am mad. Mad to have once believed for a second that I could marry Aurelia after having met you. Mad to have thought I could lock my true feelings away. Mad to have fallen so deeply, endlessly in love with the one person out of my grasp." Moisture welled up in her eyes, her lips quivering as tears freely cascaded down Beomgyu's face. "(y/n), I am so madly in love with you." With shaky hands, he lifted her own to his face, pressing his lips unto the vein of her wrist before laying his head in her palm, his eyes remaining shut as his tears had begun soaking into her gloves, the moisture which seeped through sending jolts of anguish through her. Her body wracked with silent sobs, never before having endured such a painful experience. She wanted so badly to accept him, to kiss his tears away, embosom him to her and reassure him that she wouldn't ever leave his side. And yet, she found herself retracting from his touch, despair shuttering out of him in a broken, defeated sob which cracked her heart like glass against the floorboards.
"I can't."
She hadn't known what was left in her, what had compelled her to continue forth with this narrative she was keeping to. She hadn't known what motivated her to turn and walk away, abandoning the boy who willingly gave her his entire being, leaving him as but a shell of his former self.
At some point, she knelt down on the ground, knowing she was out of his sight, though still close enough to hear his cries which filled the atmosphere. Her body quaked with emotion, stomach churning like snakes twisting and coiling, Her jaw had dropped, though no noise left her, caught by the lump which formed in her throat. Her body wept for the boy she had let go, and though every fiber of her being seemed to claw away at her, demanding she turn back for him, she proceeded to drag herself back home.
The next few days had been torturous. As if tormenting her already darkened mind, the snow had returned, though rather than the fluffy whiteness she had spent with Beomgyu, it was practically black outside. The winds beat against her window, demanding entry as she fought her demons. She couldn't even will herself to lay beside her sister beside the fireplace. Her dear sister.
Aurelia was constantly checking upon (y/n). She didn't know what seemed to plague (y/n), though she persisted in taking care of her. Collecting every blanket in the house and layering them all on top of her. Bringing her food and insisting she eat. Even pulling aside her writing chair to keep her company, away from their precious fireplace just to ensure (y/n) wasn't lonely. As sweet as this all was, (y/n) couldn't help but ask her to leave her be for the time being. The mere sight of her sister reminded her of what she had done those few days ago.
Due to the storm, luckily, Beomgyu hasn't visited, allowing (y/n) some comfort in knowing he's most likely safe and warm in his own home. Her heart ached, the last image of Beomgyu being his most vulnerable, broken self. She knew she'd eventually see him again, but she dreaded that moment. She still loved him. She couldn't face him. Not like this.
More days passed, and the snow seemed to lighten up a bit. However, the mood of the house seemingly shifted whilst she was locked away in her room. The halls were quiet, the parlor empty, it seemed the only life in the house was the few servants moving to and fro.
No Aurelia in sight.
It had only taken a day for one of the maids to answer (y/n)'s questions. Aurelia had received a letter and hasn't come out of her room since. She rarely ate, rarely ever moved from her bed. It seemed the depression which had struck (y/n) had transferred to her younger sister. And so here she stood, at the top of the stairs leading to the attic where Aurelia resided. She knocked, though there was no answer.
"Aurelia?" She called out, knocking once more. Nothing. She bit her lip, clenching her fist in anticipation. "Aurelia, I'm coming in. Okay?" Silence.
She pushed open the door, greeted by the cold air which struck her upon entry.
Having been further from the main area of the house, this room was always the coldest, though Aurelia had insisted she was fine there. Even after Eleanor had moved out, she said she didn't want to tamper with Eleanor's childhood room. Always so considerate of her sisters, yet had been left on her lonesome.
The air was still, a stale scent lingering as if the room had been left empty, though the lump under the bed proved that false.
"Aurelia?" (y/n) whispered out, approaching her sister's limp body. Her shoulders moved steadily, as if in deep slumber, but her eyes remained opened, red rimmed and puffy, the only sense of color to her otherwise pale complexion. Her hair lay lifeless over her, her lips chapped from the frigidity encasing her. (y/n) brushed back her hair, wincing at how cold her skin was. "Aurelia, what's the matter?"
The only indication of her having heard the question in the first place was the shutting of her eyes and a slight shift in her blankets. Nothing more. (y/n) stood up, ready to go retrieve the necessary items to take care of her before she saw a letter lying haphazardly on the center of the floor.
(y/n) went to pick it up when she suddenly froze. The first word to have caught her eye as she got closer.
Beomgyu.
She gulped, crouching slowly to pick up the letter, hands shaking as she grew closer. The edges of the parchment were crumpled, and a few letters blurred with water damage, though the contents of the letter were still apparent.
A breakup letter.
His penmanship was sloppy, word choice even worse, and though the letter was absolutely a travesty, worthy of hatred from any person who received it, (y/n) couldn't help but feel her heart wrench at his words.
I've fallen in love with another. And I cannot find myself marrying anyone else. Nor would that be fair for you to have to manage me, a hopeless case. I sincerely apologize.
"He didn't love me." A voice croaked behind (y/n), gravelly from lack of use. When (y/n) turned, she was greeted by the same image as before, unmoving as she continued to speak. "What had I done wrong?"
"You did nothing wrong." (y/n) insisted, shuffling on her knees back to Aurelia's bedside. "None of this is your fault." (y/n) rubbed her hand along her sister's forearm, both in an attempt to relieve her and warm her. "Emotions are a complicated manner. Some may spend their lives devoting themselves to their loved ones, while others will merely accept said love and be on their merry way." Aurelia remained quiet for a second until speaking.
"What does Beomgyu's love feel like?"
(y/n)'s blood ran cold, perhaps even colder than the state of the room itself. Aurelia rolled over, her empty, sunken expression now facing her. She stared expectantly, awaiting the answer from the only person in the world who could answer it. And though (y/n) felt the compulsion to play it off, pretend she hadn't any idea to what her sister was eluding to, she could see it would've been redundant, as Aurelia knew.
"He unquestionably gives his entire heart when in love," (y/n) began, unsure why Aurelia would want to torture herself more, though still abiding to her request. "Thinks more of the other than himself. The simplest way to appease him is to allow him to show you his devotion, whether that be accepting his every word or just merely giving him a hand to hold." (y/n) allowed the memories of Beomgyu she had been forcing back to play once more in her mind, tears returning to her own eyes at the thoughts of the sweet boy she had met this winter. "He's someone that, although he can be insufferable at times with his shenanigans, you wish to spend your every waking moment with him until your last breaths."
She gazed back at Aurelia who observed her with hollow eyes, absorbing every word spoken. Though she remained still, (y/n) could practically see the gears turning in her head.
"You refused his love on my part, and so I now insist you reciprocate his feelings for my sake," Aurelia grumbled, groaning as she pushed herself up. (y/n) helped her along the way until she was now in an upright seated position.
"What do you mean?" (y/n) asked, breaths became more shallow as she anticipated her sister's intentions.
"Well, who am I to come between true love, wouldn't you agree?" She spoke in a dry chuckle, placing her hand atop (y/n)'s. "Go on. You deserve to pursue your happiness. Thank you for everything." As brief of an encounter as it was, (y/n) felt the emotion seeping from Aurelia, the acceptance hidden beneath her layers of apathy.
So (y/n) found herself trekking through the snow, coat upon coat protecting her from nature's assault upon her. Though the further in she got, and the closer she was to her destination, the lighter the snowfall seemed to get, as if the forces of the universe were cheering her on in her endeavor. She ignored the ache in her feet, the shake in her arms, the numbness upon her face. When the manor had come into view like a beacon in the night, she pressed on, huffing as she attempted to increase her speed through the tracks of snow in her way.
She flinched as she knocked on the door, unsure if she were too loud or too soft, though before she could attempt to knock again, the door swung open, revealing a startled maid upon seeing her—a tall figure encased in snow and fabric, seemingly a creature crawling forth from the shadows. Before the maid could truly process what was before her, a voice from behind startled them both.
"Who's at the door?" (y/n) peered in through the crack of the entrance, spotting Beomgyu approaching the two. She called out to him, voice muffled by the five different scarfs wrapped around her neck. And with only a glimpse at her eyes, Beomgyu widened his own, reaching for her sleeve and tugging her in. "Heavens, what in the world are you doing parading around in this storm, you could've died. You could've gotten lost and I wouldn't have been able to find you. That's rather reckless, you should know better, you're an intelligent wom—"
"I love you," (y/n) interrupted as Beomgyu had peeled off her final scarf. He froze in his spot, blinking away his shock at the sudden confession.
"You what?" He asked, voice low, afraid his volume would startle her off and shatter this dreamlike aura.
"I love you. From the moment I first heard you laugh to right now, and until death knocks upon our doors," she laughed in reference to his own words, shuffling closer to him as he warily raised his arms to drape around her. "I love you, Beomgyu. I love you with as much love contained within me and then some."
"(y/n)," He laughed in disbelief, tears already escaping his eyes, pure wonderment at the situation at hand. "(y/n), I love you."
He leant in, finally pressing his lips to her own. His warmth overwhelmed her, starting from his touch upon her frozen skin to the depths of her heart slowly healing from his absence. He cradled her to him, as close as he could with the fabrics built between them. Even as her ice like fingers pressed against the nape of his neck, he continued to push on, the two pouring into each other the adoration they had been abstaining from revealing, reveling in the light airiness of their now reciprocated feelings. Even as they pulled away, noses nuzzling together, embracing their first few moments as a couple, (y/n) could feel her heart throbbing in joy.
She'd finally found her one true love.

This was your first time at a masquerade ball and you already felt so out of place. You’ve never really had the time to put your knowledge of dancing or court etiquette to the test, at least not outside of your tutoring sessions. Being the heir to your Queendom, you were far more concerned with keeping up with the other nations than worrying about something so trivial like dancing.
However, the citizens were growing restless with rumors of your mother stepping down as Queen and that you weren’t prepared in the slightest to fill the role. The talk around town was that people thought it would be better if you took the throne with someone at your side to keep the place from falling into ruins.
So, your mother decided to throw a masquerade, in an attempt to appease your people and give them the assumption you were looking for a suitor without you actually having to find one. Your mother was quite adamant that you didn’t need to ascend the throne with a spouse by your side and she’d be proud of you if you took on the job alone. However, you didn’t want to disappoint your people, which made you come to the conclusion that you would meet people you thought were a good fit for your country and make friends before deciding anything like marriage.
However, as previously mentioned, you felt so out of place in this big, glittering ballroom. Everything was so lavish and formal, and you felt like you were pretending to be someone you weren’t. It was odd that you felt more comfortable in a conference room than you did in a ballroom.
A couple of people had already asked you to dance, and it wasn’t too hard to find the right steps to the dances. However you were so stiff and anxious, afraid you were going to make a fool out of yourself, which didn’t make you a good partner to sashay around the floor with. It wasn’t surprising when you found yourself near the back of the ballroom like a wallflower, nursing a flute of champagne and making a face every time you took a sip. You really weren’t a fan of alcohol.
Despite the fear and nerves that were gnawing on your sanity, you did love watching other people have fun. The beautiful ball gowns that swirled around the floor and caught the light of the chandeliers, and the suits that were so finely tailored made them all look like dolls. All of the masks that held an air of secrecy and flirtation as they zipped past you made you blush. It was at least a perfect night to revel in other people’s joy.
“Not much for parties?” A voice cut into your thoughts, causing you to accidentally drop your champagne flute. It shattered and some of the champagne that was left inside splashed the bottom of your dress.
Instantly, the man apologized and he started to pick up glass shards. “Oh my goodness, I am so sorry! I didn’t mean to startle you that bad! Please, let me make it up to you! I really am so sorry!”
You shook your head, stooping down to help him out. “No, it’s quite alright. I was just so caught up in my thoughts I didn’t see you. I’m not usually this jumpy, I promise! I apologize for the mess I created.”
“Don’t be sorry.” He assured you. You both went to reach for the last piece of glass and his gloved hand touched your own. You suppressed your gasp, which gave him the opportunity to snag it away and stand up.
Flagging down a waiter, he gently passed on the glass shards carefully and informed him of the mess. The waiter nodded and said he would clean it up right away. You let the stranger take your hand to direct you away from the rest of the glass on the floor before giving a proper bow over your hand.
“Forgive me for the improper introduction, but my name is Choi Beomgyu and it’s a pleasure to meet you, Your Highness.” He said.
“You know me?” You knew it was bad manners to not acknowledge his introduction, but you were surprised that he could guess who you were behind the mask. You would have never guessed he was Prince Beomgyu if he didn’t introduce himself to you.
He chuckled as he nodded. “I’m afraid I’m pretty well versed in nobility symbolism. The jewels in your tiara gave it away. I hope I didn’t offend.”
Shaking your head, you replied. “Not at all. Just stunned, which appears to be an easy thing to do to me. Nevertheless, it certainly is a pleasure to meet you, Your Highness.”
“I must say, I’m both surprised and happy it’s still a pleasure to meet me after I made you spill your drink and ruin your dress.” He gave a slight chuckle, but you could see his cheeks were flushed pink, a sign he had been drinking tonight.
You also gave a short laugh before adding, “Then I must confess I’m not much of a champagne drinker. So you have saved me from a night of drinking it.”
“Then I am happy to be of service to you, Your Highness.” He bowed in a more grandiose way before saying, “If Your Highness doesn’t mind, would you do me the honor of joining me in this next dance?”
With a blush, you took his hand and said, “Only if you don’t mind that I’m an absolutely terrible dancer.”
“Not at all.” You almost didn’t catch his wink behind his mask.
A waltz began and at first, you were stiff and nervous. However, he gently led you through the dance and whispered in your ear for you to relax. Before too long, you started to melt both into his arms and into the dance. Everything became so much easier as he smiled warmly at you and whispered sweet nothings to you every so often. You started to feel at ease with him and before you knew it, you had already danced with him three times in a row.
Taking a break from dancing, you took a glass of punch this time as he took some more champagne. Smiling at you, he said, “See? You’re not half as bad of a dancer as you say you are.”
“It’s all because I had a wonderful partner to guide me through it.” You answered, hiding your blushing cheeks behind your drink.
His turned pink, though this time it was from your bold flirting. “Ah, thank you, Your Highness. It was a pleasure.”
You shook your head gently. “Please, call me Y/n.”
With a nod, he added. “Then you must call me Beomgyu, if we’re going to be friends.”
It was exactly what you told your mother. You were going to find friends in the crowd of attendees, and here you were becoming friends with Prince Choi Beomgyu. But the fluttering of your heart suggested this might be something more. Nevertheless, you smiled and raised your glass of punch in celebration. He clicked his flute to yours with a chuckle.
“To becoming friends!”
“To becoming friends!”

Beomgyu’s Attitude
Tumblr media
Description. Forced into this by his best friend, Choi Beomgyu couldn’t care less what these girls think of him. Often times the most difficult member, as he’s choosy in who he spends his time with. He doesn’t mind spending it with you though.
Pairings. Choi Beomgyu x Female reader
Genre. Mostly Fluffy, Comforting (?)
Warnings. Mentions of first loves, (I think that’s it)
Word count. Almost 3K
Note: So glad to finally get this out! Enjoy and feedback is always appreciated <3 Remember this is part of a series, and I don’t recommend reading them as stand-alone’s :)
HYBE HOST CLUB Masterlist
Choi Beomgyu would rather be anywhere but here. Though he’s mastered hiding it pretty well.
Or so he would like to think. Taehyun’s pretty adamant about him being the opposite. Saying how all the older boy does is complain.
You hear it from the boy’s mouth every day though, so it’s nothing new to you. You’re used to scolding him or having to forcefully push him out to meet one of his guests. (Often as he yells and begs for you not to do so.)
Today is no different.
Yoon comes barreling into the back room, waving her hands around about an upset client. You pinch between your brows as you sigh, knowing the boy across from you was likely the root of your problem. He just shrugs his shoulders, a knowing grin on his face.
“You’re supposed to be with a client, aren’t you?”
He nods warily, “Maybe..”
“Beomgyu!” You exclaim. “Get out there!”
“But I don’t like that girl! She’s clingy and all she does is talk about her cats-”
“I don’t care if she’s a three eyed alien, for God’s sake! She paid us for a service and you have to deliver!” Taehyun says as he enters the room. Eyes ablaze as he likely had to directly deal with the guest. You felt bad sometimes, Beomgyu caused the problems and Taehyun had to go fix them up with a smile on his face.
Though, you sympathize slightly, “Beomgyu, she’s not on the ban list. We can’t refuse her unless she’s hurt you or made you uncomfortable.”
The boy groans, “This is a nightmare.”
“Don’t feel bad.” Taehyun states as he approaches the two of you. “Beomgyu’s just being a brat. The girls nice enough and she tips well so I don’t see the issue.”
“She made me spoon feed her cake once.” Beomgyu recalls with wide eyes, like he’s remembering a traumatic moment.
“Oh it must’ve been insufferable.” Yoon comments sarcastically, her eyes rolling. You agree mentally, how bad could it actually be?
“It was!” Though Beomgyu hardly gets to speak before Taehyun grabs him by his ear and is dragging him out.
The older boy letting out a string of “Ow!”’s as he’s taken past the doors.
You shake your head, turning to Yoon. “He’s going to have a cow when he sees his schedule for tomorrow.”
She giggles, “You know, I still don’t know how you’ve managed to get close to Beomgyu.”
You look at her, confused. “What do you mean? He’s loud and obnoxious, pretty hard to miss.”
“No but I mean..” Yoon pauses. “He never really was accepting of any girls. He was really quiet and uneasy around me at first. And even now, you know more about him in these months you’ve been working than I have in two years.”
“I know it has something to do with his past, but it’s not like he really says much to me anyways. Overheard it from Heeseung.” She continues but with that, she walks away.
Beomgyu had warmed up to you rather easy, so to learn he’s not usually like that? You had figured he just really didn’t like to be a little toy for the girls, not amused by it all. But would you ever really know?
The boy sat with a blank expression on his face as his client showed him photos (presumably of her cat) as he pretends to be interested. You giggle at him from the corner of the room and he acts like he doesn't see you.
Personally, you’d shrink up in fear with that attitude of his if you were the guest. Though, Yoon has told you some girls dig that, for whatever reason. Something about it being his marketing point. Girls wondering ‘Who will be the first to get the shy tsundere boy out of his shell?’ She had explained, saying it was his strong suit.
You had just stared at her. She really needed to stay away from shoujo anime.
Hueningkai approaches you with a pout on his face. “I’m going to take a nap in the backroom.”
“Why?” You ask, “Have you been staying up all night playing games again?”
“Maybe.” He trails. “But that’s not the point.”
“So what is your point?” You quirk a brow.
“I finished the last of the three clients I had today. Not like I have anything better to do.” He remarks, cleaning the dust off his shirt.
You just pinch your nose bridge as you sigh. “No longer than an hour or else Taehyun will be barking up my ass about where you’ve been.”
“Thank you manager!” The young boy squeals, slipping out behind the curtains.
I don’t get paid enough for this, you think. Taking a seat behind the counter, you join Heeseung silently shuffling through files. It was the peaceful part of your duties. Just sitting and organizing the guest registry by alphabetical order. Or making off receipts or filling out booking schedules. It wasn’t nearly as bad as it sounded, in fact it was kind of fun to get lost in it with your headphones wired in.
Heeseung just hands you a folder and you get to work, filling out forms with a pen that Soobin gifted you a couple days ago with a panda on it. (Yeonjun had called it corny but what did he know anyways? Though he did attempt to top it with a silver panda necklace. To which Soobin surrendered to this weird battle of the pandas.)
You’re pulled from your thoughts as Heeseung nudges your shoulder. It was pretty much code for ‘Guest Incoming.’ And he was right as you looked up.
“Hi, are you a returning guest?” You greet as the girl adjusts her bangs.
“Um..” She begins, eyes flickering around. “No this is my first time.”
“Okay,” You smile, attempting to soothe her uneasiness. It was different, most of the girls walked in here confidently. Believing they could sweep the host boys off their feet, and that they’d be the one to date them. So maybe her nervousness was better, for you anyways. “You’ll have to fill out these forms and pass a background check, then you’ll be good to make an appointment.”
“Wait, I can’t just walk in?” She asks, staring at the papers in your hands.
You pull back. “No, sorry. We take this very seriously, and all the consent forms and regulations are here. You can’t come near the host boys without signing them, it’s a safety measure.”
“Oh.” The girl says, not making eye contact with you. She obviously wasn’t interested in the papers at hand.
Heeseung and you exchange a look before you smile awkwardly back at her. “Is there something else I can help you with?”
Her eyes light up, clearly not wanting to say whatever it was, but it didn’t look like she had a choice. “I heard Beomgyu was here.”
Heeseung nods. “Choi Beomgyu? He’s one of the hosts.”
“Can I..” She pauses, looking around for seemingly nothing. “Talk to him?”
That was an odd request, she just wanted to talk to him? But didn’t want to sign the forms? This was shaping up to be weird. “I don’t think-”
“Get Taehyun.” Heeseung interrupts. “Maybe she has something important to tell him.”
You agree and head back into the host area, spotting Taehyun without a guest, likely on a break. “I’d hate to bother you, but there’s a girl here asking to talk to Beomgyu.”
“Lots of girls want to talk to Beomgyu.” Yeonjun interjects while chewing something. Where did he even come from? “Just tell her to sign the forms.”
“She doesn’t want to for some reason.” You shrug, looking back at Taehyun. “She just wants him to come out and talk.”
“Fangirl.” Yeonjun says, eyes widening. Fork stabbing into his little cake slice.
You shake your head. “She didn’t give off that vibe, she just seems really nervous.”
“I’ll go see.” Taehyun says, standing up to follow behind you as he adjusts his tie. “You know, when I recruited Beomgyu, I didn’t expect he’d give me so many headaches.”
“Recruited? Or forced?” You teased, knowing that Beomgyu had only agreed to appease his friend. Maybe he didn’t think he’d dislike it as much as it seems he does.
But you two move the curtains and step to the front as you refocus on the task at hand. When the two of you spot her, it seems Taehyun recognizes her. His normally calm demeanor turning cold as he lands his hard gaze on the girl. “What’re you doing here?”
She breathes in. “Taehyun, please let me-”
“No.” He says harshly. “I need you to leave.”
Heeseung looks over at you and you shrug, having no idea what’s going on. Then you both refocus on the girl. Shes staring at her feet before muttering, “I’ll sign the papers, I’ll do whatever I need to.”
“Doesn’t matter, I’m not letting you see him.” Taehyun looks her up and down in a way that would make you shrivel up to the floor. You’d never seen Taehyun refuse service like this before. This girl must’ve done something to him, or most likely Beomgyu.
“There are things I didn’t get to say and-”
“I’m asking you this nicely.” Taehyun seethes, and you swear you can see smoke blowing out of his ears. “Leave.”
She looks between you and Heeseung and you back away slightly. Her eyes were pleading for help, for some understanding. You couldn’t give it to her, for whatever reason, and it was stressing you out.
“Not until I talk to Beomgyu.” The girl responds, her shy smile from before being taken over by sheer determination to see the boy.
Heeseung looks over in worry and you lean towards Taehyun. “Maybe I can go grab Beomgyu really quickly.”
He ignores you before motioning to Heeseung. “He’ll be seeing you out.”
Then he turns and walks back into the host area, Heeseung silently praying that the girl will comply with the request. She does, but not before looking utterly devastated. She then begins apologizing to Heeseung for causing trouble to which he just awkwardly nods.
He closes the door behind her and turns back to you, letting out a sigh of relief. “Who the hell was that?” He asks as he returns to the counter.
“I don’t know,” You shrug, though the same urgency is in your voice. “But Taehyun didn’t like her.”
Heeseung scoffs. “That’s an understatement, I could practically feel his blood boiling.”
You just nod, “I would ask Taehyun but he might bite my head off.”
Laughing, Heeseung stifles as Taehyun walks back into the front room. His head turning around almost comically. “And where is Hueningkai?!”
-
“It’s your turn to stay!”
“No way! I stayed every day last week!”
“Why don’t we just make Beomgyu stay?” Yeonjun interrupts the two bickering in front of him.
Soobin approaches behind him, “I can stay.”
“Shut up Soobin.” Taehyun responds. “Hueningkai gets to stay today.”
“I have plans today!” The younger rolls his eyes.
You wave them all off. “I’ll be fine alone, I’m almost done anyways.”
The four look at you before Taehyun narrows his eyes. “No.”
Then they go back to bickering over who will accompany you as you finish your paperwork and closing up.
“I already said I can stay-“ Soobin starts again.
“Yeah right!” Yeonjun interjects. “Leave the two of you alone? No way!”
“Why?” Hueningkai teases. “Jealous?”
Yeonjuns face goes red as he stammers to deny it. Yeonjun would have normally stayed with you if it wasn’t for his dad having scheduled him some kind of meeting. But yes, to be fair, he didn’t want you and Soobin alone.
“So it’s settled,” Taehyun speaks. “Beomgyu’s staying.”
Yeonjun nods before checking his watch, “Oh shit- Bye.” The grabs his coat and rushes out the door.
Soobin smiling at you as he says goodbye, knowing he won’t see you till Monday. Oh how he envied Beomgyu a little right now.
Taehyun and Hueningkai promptly make their way out after letting Beomgyu know he’s staying, as he was currently sweeping up some mess. They bid you goodbye and then it’s just you left in the main room. You stamp away at some papers as Beomgyu walks your way.
“I really wanted tomorrow off.” He groaned, looking at his schedule in his hands.
“Day’s off have to be requested a week in advance.” You remind him, only half paying attention as your focus is in front of you. Repeating the standard company policies that had you had drilled into your memory.
“I know you’re supposed to be working but can’t I have a little attention?” He remarks sarcastically.
“Have you ever had a girlfriend, Beomgyu?” You blurt out, your mind itching to ask him all day.
His cheeks grow slightly hot before shaking his head. Teasing as he raises his eyebrows. “No. Why? Are you intrested?”
You just shrug, “I just thought you had an ex girlfriend come visit.”
Beomgyu perks up at that. “Ex? No, I’ve never dated a girl. And if I did, I’d make sure she didn’t know I was doing this silly host club stuff now.”
“It’s nothing to be embarrassed about.” You comment, eyes lifting from your papers. “You make these girls really happy.”
“With these amazing good looks, I’m sure I do.”
“This conversation is over.”
“Wait,” He stops before you dismiss him. “Who was the girl? Did she say she was looking for me?”
You nod. “But I didn’t catch her name. Then Taehyun came and kicked her out.”
“Kicked her out?” He asks, brows furrowing.
You just go back to your work as he speaks up again. But this time, he has a look that you can’t quite place on his face. “Black hair? Pink shoes? She had a mole under her left eye?”
You slowly turn to look at him as he awaits your response. You rack your brain, but you really couldn’t remember much more than her long hair. “Um..”
“Well?”
“I don’t know, I barely even looked at her. Heeseung was there too, maybe he remembers.” And with that, you were back to your duties. Shuffling for a pen in your bag as your other had run out of ink.
Beomgyu just sighs. “I’ve never had a girlfriend.”
You smile. “You already said that.”
“But I did have a first love.”
You quirk your head to the side. Beomgyu? Had a first love? The boy who seemed completely immune to romance? Had already experience something that you had yet to?
“Tell me about them.” You whisper, as his face falls.
“It didn’t end very well.”
“Do you think it was the girl from earlier?”
“Maybe.” He sighs. “But I don’t know why’d she be back.”
Beomgyu grows quiet after that, pretending he’s busy marking off names in his schedule for the day. Though, you had watched him diligently do it earlier.
“She left and there was no goodbye.” He speaks quietly. “And after? No calls, no texts, it was like I meant nothing to her.”
“I’m sure that’s not true,” You say, attempting to comfort him. “Things come up, maybe she-”
“She just didn’t love me anymore.” He states blankly. “It’s fine, I’m over it already. I just don’t see why’d she be back here seeing as she wasn’t worried for me before.”
Beomgyu didn’t know why he could talk about this so easily with you. It was like your general presence put him at ease. Because when he first opened up about this, he’d find his tears growing by the minute. But with you? No, he could talk to you.
You made him feel weird, like you saw him for him. Not for the Beomgyu that you invented in your mind, but for him.
“I’m sorry.” You say, having no clue what to say. “But maybe it’s like they say.”
He questions your statement. “What do they say?”
“That it’s better to love and have lost then to never have loved at all.”
“Whoever said that clearly never lost.” He shakes his head.
“Well, I’ve never loved at all.” You say. “Beyond a friendly scale, that is.”
“You have too much love to give that it probably all feels friendly. Though I wish you’d acknowledge your feelings for Soobin.”
That feels like a slap in the face. “Soobin?!”
He teases, “You two are so dumb.”
And he tunes out your sounds of denial. Internally rolling his eyes at how oblivious the two of you are, tip toeing around like you two aren’t head over heels. Everyone can see it, the way Soobin crushes on you loudly.
Or even the way Yeonjun announces his admiration for you through gifts proudly, lovesick eyes always thrown your way.
Beomgyu is always more quiet about it though, and maybe that’s where he goes wrong. Maybe that would have to change.
Tumblr media
FINALLY Beomgyu’s part!! I was having writers block which you can obviously see here T-T!! Also, people have been asking and yes, they all eventually develop crushes on MC. I take direct inspiration from the show, but in the end she’ll only end up with one!  The point isn’t about her dating them, it’s about the difference MC makes in their lives as well. Ok, sorry for ranting, bye.

Tumblr media
you're waking up to something heavy crushing your body on your bed.
that can’t be right. or this could be one of your sleep paralysis demons tormenting you again?
when you open one eye to check, it’s almost comical how the gurgling scream was gonna come out of your mouth but it didn’t.
grogginess from sleep mixed with shock rendered you speechless after finding a demon in the form of Choi Beomgyu, the lead guitarist of your school's punk band.
butt-naked between your legs.
“hi” his even deeper voice rumbles against your chest. it sends vibrations against your bare skin, particularly in your pussy where you're feeling a bit sore.
naked. you both are naked.
you try to remember what happened the night prior. memories start to resurface the more you stay in focus despite the man scanning your face on top of you. neither of you drank for sure but you remember kissing him which lead to a whole night of non-stop fucking.
beomgyu nuzzles your bare tits when you didn’t respond but you’re still focused on how good his messy red-bronze hair looks under the sunlight.
“what the fuck are you doing here punk?”
you tend to say the opposite of what you actually wanna say. just like you’re letting him stay on top of you instead of pushing him off.
“isn’t it obvious? we fucked” he states, a bit maniacally which should’ve concerned you about what he’s planning right now.
he giggles when you don’t rebuke him, leaving kisses around your chest.
this earns gasp from you, causing him to chuckle. you couldn’t even look at him, already closing your eyes as he continued to pepper your skin with more messy kisses until he reached your nipples, encircling his mouth briefly on both before releasing them with a pop.
“scratch that, i fucked you” he grins as he pulls himself up, allowing him to see you underneath him in full glory.
“and i’ll fuck you again”
beomgyu leans on one elbow against the mattress, his other hand touching whatever he can of your body. holding your cheek then briefly squeezing your breast down to caressing the side of your tummy.
“but..” you’ve been squirming under his touch, only halting when you feel his fingers in your cunt, checking to see how swollen you are.
“you’re soaking tho, you sure you don’t wanna?” he asks in a playful manner, fingers running through your folds and you wanted to scream.
scream his name that is, like hours ago.
your resolve's giving in, with how he’s looking at you like he’d been the whole night not helping your current predicament.
“beomie..” your legs absentmindedly close due to the sensitivity but he slaps your inner thighs, eliciting a whiny moan from you.
“go on, ask” his smile widened and you didn’t miss the glint in his eyes as your gaze stayed on them.
“f-fuck me?” you’re not used to this, asking him of all people but maybe this is why he wants you to say it more.
“that’s it? no please…” his smile turned wicked as he plunges a finger into your pussy slowly and added another one, much to your displeasure.
“fuck, please fuck me” you squeal, ignoring how pathetic you sounded. he’d tease you nonstop after this like he always does since you’ve known him but you don’t really care.
you just want his dick again before you both can go back to hating each other temporarily.
he brings you back by pulling his fingers out and you’ve never felt so empty. beomgyu adjusts himself, his length brushing against your thighs that had you whining again.
“tsk tsk, too impatient” he huffs, grabbing his dick to line it up against your soaking folds.
“n-no more teasing..” you plead again because you don’t know how long you can endure his teasing. he surprisingly obeyed, pushing in until he filled you up to the brim.
your sensitive walls couldn’t stop clenching around him, making him weaker than usual. he hates it, hates how you could reduce him to this.
“still too tight, ‘s like i didn’t fuck you a lot” he hisses as he moves his hips, increasing his pace at once. he wants to hear you moan louder for him, want to hear it as long as he can.
“gyu..too much” you’re babbling and moaning, can’t even tell him which one’s too much but you're gripping his back with so much strength to keep him closer to your body. he relishes it though, the scratch from your nails that will surely leave red marks against his skin.
“too much but you like it?” he asks and you nod, biting your lips and curling your toes at how much pleasure he’s giving you.
you’re supposed to be tired from fucking for hours but your body seemed to want more. more like you want Beomgyu more and that scares you.
he knew he found that soft spot inside you the moment your back started arching, almost hitting his face while he watched you under him. he leaned down to trail kisses along your neck, hearing you giggle each time his long hair brushed your skin.
you keep moaning Beomgyu’s name and he’s tempted to tease you just to hear you more. but he’ll take pity, you’ve been so good to him so far. he was actually worried that you’d push him away earlier that’s why he tried his best to distract you.
“..more..more..shit” your words spur him to grab your face, to keep you steady while he gives you what you ask.
“i’ll fuck you more don’t worry, after this i will” he starts, caressing your cheek, and your bleary eyes are having a hard time paying attention to him.
he’s so pretty and you suddenly wanna kiss him. grabbing his mullet, you try to pull his face into yours but he’s firm in his hold on your neck keeping you in place.
"will you let me? will you huh y/n?" he leans in as he says it, mouth open as he moans against your lips but not touching them. they're touching the side though and one small turn from you would allow that.
but his question irks you, no, his whole being does.
all you can do is nod, releasing a series of wanton moans of his name which causes satisfaction within him. beomgyu was gonna kiss you but that’s too much of a risk so he buries his head at the crook of your neck instead.
"i'll be good, so good you're never gonna fuck the others" he whispers by your ear, accompanied by a couple of desperate grunts that you’ve never heard from him before.
"good..mhmm..so good"
"yeah good? you like how i fuck you?" he goads, eager to hear your praises again like he can't get enough of it.
"yea-hngh, gyu omyfuck!" the band on your lower abdomen unexpectedly snaps, leading Beomgyu to fasten his pace even more to reach his own end.
he’s not far and seeing the pure bliss in your pretty face is enough for him to reach his peak, groaning loudly as releases inside you.
you’re both panting from another mind-blowing orgasm and eventually, he drops his body against yours.
this time, you push him off completely which earns a complaining whine from him.
“where are you going? can you even walk?” he taunts, still breathless but his tone irritates you because he’s right.
“shut up you fuckass!”
as soon as you tried standing, your legs gave away and Beomgyu started laughing. his annoying laughter echoes around that you tried ignoring even if you had hopes of him getting off the bed to hoist you up.
but of course he wouldn’t.
instead, he peeks by the edge of the mattress with that stupid mullet hair of his before he reaches out to grab yours gently. he tugs it to turn you to him, pulling your face closer and then leaning in while you stupidly do the same for some reason.
no kiss or anything, just him stopping right before your lips are about to touch. a taunting smile graces his in response to the frown etching on your face.
“awee don’t tell me you’re giving up already”
if he meant your stamina or something else, you don’t ever wanna figure it out.
.
e/n: i’m kinda out of practice for smut lmao + this is unedited so excuse 🤧. also i did not expect to post him first in this blog when i had yeonjun and soobin drafted first 🤡

]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]]
Finals week was up tight for you. You swore you'd fail if you don't stay up all night studying. Hell that's not seeming to work
Luckily, you had someone to pent up with your version of opposite-insomnia. Beomgyu is annoying, but you still want him around. He's probably the only one keeping you sane when you keep falling asleep instead of racing your eyes on words.
You've managed the ones you couldn't avoid and here you are with the last one. Beomgyu seems careless today. He's sprawled up over your living room couch, his legs crossing over yours. Laptop situated on your lap, your eyes kept closing, only something that touched you lightly jolted you awake.
You scream out in frustration, muttering numerous curse words to yourself. Beomgyu jolts up, wide-eyed. A frown forming on his face.
“Your opera made me lose my game!” he says with an annoying tone. “Gyu, that's the least of my worries right now, I keep fucking falling asleep.” you reply back, clenching your teeth. “Don't disrespect your elders now” he says with a grin on his face. Beomgyu was a year older than you, but that doesn't give him a pass to act so entitled to his age when you act up.
“Nothing's working. I stopped taking melatonin, and all tube lights are turned on” you admit in a low voice. “ I don't get how you fall asleep that easy now. You had insomnia level 100 when you were little” he says in a wondering tone. You groan at him, wishing it were the complete opposite now.
"You know, I heard endorphins can keep you awake” he blurts out randomly. You turn your head towards him, with a small frown on your face. "Endorphins?” you ask. “Yeah, they keep some people awake”. Why did he sound so suspicious? “They're found in chocolate, laughing, listening to music...sex..”
You choked on air as you heard his last word. Sex? Now that's a fact. You haven't had sex in quite some time now...
Beomgyu looks at your bewildered face and scoffs. “What? It's true” he says. He thinks for a split second before he asks “Speaking of sex, when was your last time?” How did he sound so casual? "W-..why are you even asking?, i had two boyfriends in the past soo..” you randomly cut of, going into thought.
“Right, the first guy, who was it? Ah- Jaehoon! An asshole if you ask me” he sounded annoyed saying it even though it didn't look like it. You could tell. But why? “second..was Sunghyun? I didn't like him either” he says as he puts his fingers underneath his chin.
“Why the fuck are you going over my history of boyfriends? ” you ask. Also, he sounded weird talking about Sunghyun as well. He replies after a pause, “Which one actually made you cum?” you froze at his words. Does he actually know what he's saying? “Beomgyu!” you scream, “Why would you even ask?!”
“Oh, so none of them did?” he asks curiously. “Nevermind, ________ just tell me”. You think on his words, the only thing you never told Beomgyu was about your sex life. It's not like he asked anyway. "I-..I've had sex like twice...?” you mumble. He looked puzzled, “Don't tell you've only that two times of sex in only one relationship that lasted like, two and half years..? He got his answer, just because you didn't say anything.
He scoffs out laughing, “Did you cum at least?” he asks with a sigh. You pause for sometime.. was it really that embarrassing? “N-no”. You get back to your senses, getting angrier by the second. “But what does that have to do with me falling asleep?” you retort. “Absolutely nothing!”.
He has that shit-eating grin on his face. God, you just want to wipe it off with a kiss. Wait. What were you thinking? No.
“I'm just saying you know, it works like this, you overwork and start falling asleep too easy then I tell you that sex produces endorphins and they help you stay awake, anddd, he adds, dragging the d sound, you haven't had proper sex”
You roll your eyes at his explanation like it didn't mean anything. It doesn't. ”You're acting like I could go get dick just because I keep falling asleep” you reply back. “It's not like I have a boyfriend now, Gyu” you add on.
“But I'm right here”. He says ever so slowly. You're taken aback, frozen still in your place. “What the fuck are you even saying?” you say, almost whispering. His face and tone remain nonchalant, contradictory to yours. “You say you have no boyfriends, right?, and I'm probably the only guy you talk to”
Should you say yes? It's once and he'll probably never ask again. And he's kind of cute. You'd date him. But you would never tell him this. No, but you did get braver at the moment.
“Is this your excuse at asking if you could fuck me?” you ask calming yourself down with a laugh laced in your voice. He seems to take your presence in for a moment. “Did it work?” he asks with a sly smirk.
“If you want it to” you say quickly before you could do anymore pausing. His grin grows bigger; he slides the laptop off your lap and places it on the transparent coffee table with a soft thud. Connecting his lips with yours, you moan into the kiss at the sudden feeling. His arms wrap around your waist as you sit straight up. “Strawberry?” he asks tasting your chapstick. You simply nod, cupping his cheeks to resume the kiss. “Woah, looks who's actually eager here” he laughs.
He picks you up without breaking the kiss, having your legs on his both his sides. You break the kiss saying, “Not on the bed, I don't have new sheets ready” He chuckles at your prediction. “Who said it had to be on the bed?” He sits back down, with you still straddling his lap. His hands slip underneath your shirt, cold hands caressing your warm body. “I didn't expect you to agree so easily” he asks continuing to kiss your neck. “W-...well you did something about those endorphins...” you whisper. He laughs at you, quite obvious he hadn't bought it.
You sit up straight on his lap for a second, thinking. “But won't we make a mess on the couch?” you ask expendentaly. “If you let me go inside..?” he asks with a smirk. You slap his chest multiple times, his idea has some structural value to not making a mess but won't it.... leak out? God, no you should never think dirty. At least you won't have to change the bed sheets.
He claims your lips again in passionate kiss, hands going down to remove your sweatpants. Your left in a crop top and panties. What a sight. He breaks the kiss to lay you down on the couch. “I'll make you cum, astonishing you never have after you had sex twice” he says dramatically. You roll your eyes at him, to which he scoffed at in a high pitched voice. “Just wait, I'll make you roll your eyes for a valid reason” he says before undoing his belt and discarding his jeans and boxers.
You tried to look away. He had a pretty dick. But will it even fit? “Don't look away at the man who's going to fuck you now” he says playfully, hovering above you. You stare at him for a couple seconds, taking in his features. He moves your panties to the side, taking a look at your glistening pussy. “Need to prep you, angel” he says. Taking his fingers closer, he slips in a finger, extremely tight unsurprisingly. “You groan at the sudden feeling, he adds another finger stretching your walls out, you feel pleasure slowly forming from the slight pain. He continue s to stretch you out, with you letting out loud moans form time to time. He retrieves his fingers back just when you're legs shook. You look at him confused.
“I'm only having you cum on my cock” he says before slipping his hands underneath your shirt and removing your bra. He starts to play with your hardened nipples with slick covered fingers, to which you would scold him for, but it felt too good.
He pulls his hands back, spreading your legs open and removing your panties whole. “Ready princess?” he asks softly to which you nod slowly. He enters you with ease,, still going slowly. You feel so so full. He groans out loud, he mutters a 'so tight' before slowly thrusting in and out. “Mmnh–ngh fuck–” you moan out, the pads of his fingers rubbing your clit, making your roll your eyes back. His pace gets faster, so as his grunts and your moans. “Shit–pretty–you feel s-so good” he grunts. The sound of skin slapping against skin takes over your senses, raw pleasure filling you. “Don't stop! nngh– so s-so good!”
The wet and lewd sounds of his dick going in and out get louder, as he slowed down, dick starting to twitch slightly inside of you. You felt a firework inside your stomach, like a coil so desperate to burst. You think you're about to cum. “G-gyu, think I'm gonna cum fuck—!” you moan. “Yeah? cum for me princess, g-good girl aren't you? cream all over my cock-!” You feel his cockhead slowly hitbyour cervix with each slow thrust as you feel the coil in your stomach collapse, coming all over his cock.
He came after you, filling you up, and it leaked out onto the couch. “That was great” he blurts out tired. You slowly recover form your orgasm, getting back to your senses. “Is this going to be a one time thing or—” You're cut off with a kiss, him saying “Absolutely not. I'm keeping you angel” you simply smile at him.
“But gyu didn't you tell sex kind of helps you stay awake, I really don't think that's for me..?” He takes in your words, “It is for some people...” he says before his eyes light up with a grin plastered on hif face. “So round two?”

𝐇𝐎𝐖 𝐖𝐎𝐔𝐋𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐘 𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐓 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐃𝐔𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐀𝐍 𝐀𝐏𝐎𝐂𝐀𝐋𝐘𝐏𝐒𝐄?
Tumblr media
pairings: ot5!txt x reader. (separate.)
genre: apocalypse au, light angst, fluff.
warnings: mentions of blood, mentions of death, mentions of cannibalism, gore, apocalypse, zombies.
synopsis: the world is ending, humanity has entered a worldwide crisis, and you're stuck with them.
this quite literally inspired me to plan a whole fanfiction :3
Tumblr media
CHOI YEONJUN [최연준]
↬ The both of you were neighbors, and you were the one to let him inside your apartment three days after the crisis began, and from then on, you continued on fighting back to back.
↬ He doesn’t trust anybody. You won’t get to save anybody when it comes to him, bitten or uninjured. It will be just you and him.
↬ Acts fearless around you, when he’s actually a coward and seeks your comfort nonstop.
↬ Despite the fear that consumes him when a flesh-eating monster is ahead, he continues on protecting you, making sure you’re safe and uninjured, which you appreciate.
↬ Every night, one of you keeps watch so that the other can get some deserved rest.
↬ Everytime the both of you move from one location to another, he makes sure he has some sort of physical contact with you. Whether it’s interlocking his fingers with you, or having an arm wrapped around your shoulder. He cannot risk losing you in this already fucked up reality.
A high-pitched scream escaped your not-so hydrated lips as you landed harshly on the floor, a zombie climbing on top of you, attempting to bite the flesh of your face.
Your eyes fell shut instantly, embracing the upcoming painful death that never actually came. You felt the zombie’s corpse resting upon your body and slowly lifted your eyelids. The monster’s head was now detached from the body and Yeonjun stood above you, a metal bat painted in blood held in his hand.
His breathing was heavy and sweat rolled down the side of his face. “A-Are you okay?” He questioned, arm reaching down to help you up. With a groan, you pushed the corpse off of you and shakily took his arm and he lifted you up. You huffed as he pulled you into a tight hug, you hesitantly wrapped your arms around him too, embracing him back. Tears began streaming like a river down his face, “I thought I lost you..”
Tumblr media
CHOI SOOBIN [최수빈]
↬ You both liked each other and he finally planned on confessing his feelings by taking you on a date to the beach. However, the date you’ve been dreaming about was ruined by an apocalypse, and the both of you struggled to survive. Thankfully love was the biggest hope.
↬ You broke into a weapon shop and stole some guns and knives in order to protect yourself. Let’s say.. you were unbeatable, despite the first-time struggle.
↬ You both learned how to defeat the zombies and decided on helping as many survivors as possible. And not too much later, you already established a large group of survivors who assisted you in fighting against the cannibals.
↬ While he’s harsh on the others, he is extremely soft when it comes to you, completely melting into your touch and words of affirmation.
↬Before every fight with the zombies, the both of you share a goodluck kiss, and promise to return alive.
You watched as Soobin instructed the survivors on how to handle a zombie, raising his voice at them whenever they failed. You felt bad, but they were quite useless if they didn’t know how to fight. After the training, Soobin came up to you, and fell right into your arms. “Don’t think you were too harsh?” You mutter, hand raising to brush through his nested hair.
“They have to be mentally strong to survive, anyway.” He exhales, arms smoothly wrapping around your waist. He lifted his head from your shoulder, lips pressing against yours sweetly. He pulled back and stared passionately into your eyes. “I’m happy you’re still standing beside me.”
Tumblr media
CHOI BEOMGYU [최범규]
Two bandmates who goofed around at the beginning of the apocalypse until realization finally hit you, and then you began appreciating each other’s presence. The rest of your band was tragically turned into brainless monsters, and you were left with no option but to murder them yourself, since Beomgyu was mentally incapable of doing so.
Regarding to that, if you’d like to survive an apocalypse with Beomgyu, you’ll have to be the one taking the lead and making sacrifices, he’s just unable to fight face-to-face with a zombie.
Shares his food with you. Whether it’s a full meal or a little snack, he still makes sure to share his food with you as a way of thanking you.
You have those little moments where you bring up memories and experiences you’ve shared together before everything began— more like, ended. You eventually end up crying in each other’s arms.
A year after the apocalypse began, you both finally returned to the band’s shared apartment and surprisingly, Beomgyu’s guitar was still there. You agreed on carrying it with you just in case, and you definitely praised the old decision.
Two survivors sat on the top of a towering building, eyes glued to the starry night-sky. Beomgyu’s fingers danced along with the guitar’s strings as you gently bobbed your head to the sounds. You felt a weight lifting off your chest. “You look beautiful, even when you’re covered in blood and dust.” Beomgyu chuckles. You roll your eyes, thanking the gods that the darkness was keeping your flushed face hidden from Beomgyu’s sight.
“You should be thankful I’m capable of protecting the both of us.” You mumble, an exhausted exhale escaping your lips.
“I’m always thankful.” He smiles, earning a small grin from you too. “You know, moments like these make me realize that despite the fact that the world is ending, everything might still be okay, as long as I’m with you.”
Tumblr media
KANG TAEHYUN [강태현]
Best-friends who met thanks to the baseball club, and found themselves surrounded by bitten squadmates. Thankfully, you were returning from a competition when everything went down, so you were still wearing the gear and were handicapped.
The both of you stood strong against zombies, but Taehyun made sure to lead the way. He was always the one to check the hallways first, always the one to risk his life for you.
Is very protective of you, and never abandoned you. Will insist on fighting the zombies for you if it means you leaving uninjured.
You found a group of survivors in the school you were stuck in, and whenever they would spit at the both of you for being outsiders and not trusting you, Taehyun will stand up for you.
Words of affirmation. I repeat. Words of affirmation. The both of you continued on comforting eachother whenever needed, which is probably the only thing keeping you sane right now.
The rest of the students were already asleep, while the two of you volunteered to keep on watch for tonight. Taehyun was sitting down on the freezing cold, you laying between his legs, his chest pressing against your back. “Say, do you think we’ll make it out alive?” You questioned out of the blue.
“Who knows?” He sarcastically replied, not taking you seriously. His expression changed when you turned to look at him, tears falling from your eyes. “[Name]..” He calls softly.
“I’m sorry.. I couldn’t help but overthinking everything, and realization suddenly hit me. We might not make it out alive..” You choke on your own words. “Taehyun—“
“We’ll make it out alive, so stop worrying.” He directed a deep look into your glistening eyes. “I don’t care if we’re humanity’s last survivors, I promise the both of us will survive.”
Tumblr media
HUENINGKAI [휴닝카이]
You were a nurse in a hospital, and he happened to run into you after searching for medical supplies for his friend, who apparently was injured. After you took care of his friend’s wounds, Kai dragged you along with them and kept you safe.
He has experience with video games of that kind, so he wasn’t exactly afraid, just stressed. He didn’t want to lose neither you or his friend. Unfortunately, a zombie had defeated his friend and Kai tried killing it, but got injured as a result.
You mostly took care of meals and the medication, while Kai fought. You were always concerned for his well-being, but he always gave you that short peck that calmed you down.
His love language is gift-giving. Every time he goes out in search of survivors or any sign of hope, he returns with a small gift just for you, warming up your heart.
He always finds a way to make you laugh through the harsh world, which you loved most about him. The way he could light up an entire dark world.
Kai had just returned from another mission which ended up with his arm getting scratched. You sighed, carefully treating his wound as he hissed at every slight touch. “You should be more careful.” You worriedly beg him.
“I can try..” He spoke with a soft smile. You had no idea how he was able to smile through the pain. “Also, I brought this with me.”
Your eyes jerked downwards to see what he was holding. A standing white flower. You were surprised. How come that flower is still alive?
“It was so beautiful and was outstanding amongst the dead field.” He raised his hand, giving you a full view of the beautiful flower. “It reminded me of you, since you’re able to standstill even during the strongest storms.”

txt reactions hyung line- they saw you crying
warnings: fluff,comforting,cryings,curse,hugs,etc.
Choi Yeonjun
You were looking at the ceiling in your room, lying on your back on the bed. Your phone was open next to you. It caught your attention that people you saw on Twitter ship Yeonjun with other idols and how beautiful they are. You took a deep breath, but you couldn't stop yourself from thinking. They were very beautiful. They sang wonderfully and danced wonderfully. You were just you. You were living in your little house, going to college and working part-time at the same time.
Feel pitty for yourself. And you were still thinking about the reasons why Yeonjun was with you. But nothing came to ypur mind. You were you, and you were more ordinary than ordinary. Tears filled the fountains of your eyes and fell one by one. Your teeth shook and chattered together. Your heart ached, but no one could suppress the words that you didn't deserve Yeonjun. As your whispered to yourself, sobs interrupted your words. Then you took a deep breath. Your hands were shaking. You stopped with the hand reaching for your tear-stained cheeks.
"Shhh..There is there is.." Yeonjun stroked your back and hugged you. You sobbed again and took your phone to not let him to see the post you read. But he quickly pulled it to himself and saw them. He looks at you with upset smile and sat next you. He stroked your hair and puts little smile to your forehead. "You know, it is not something I care about. You can be an ordinary person even You are already the most special to me. But you know that I will always choose you, right? So please don't cry ever again for this ridiculous things. I am happy with you crybaby." He giggled and hugs you bsck with his soft hands and his soothing words.
Choi Soobin
You came home tired. You had many wounds on your knee. Your hands were pricked by thorns. You were the school's representative in the running tournament. And everyone had very high expectations from you. But you weren't that confident in yourself. Because you didn't have the ability to manage under pressure, you stumbled too many times, resulting in bruises on your knees. You rubbed your hands on the bushes and caused a thorn to get stuck in you. The scratches made your arms bleed. You entered the house drenched in sweat. You immediately kicked off your shoes. There was blood on your leggings. You sighed deeply and lay down on the bed. When you lay down and closed your eyes, you were already asleep...
When you opened your eyes, It was already midnight. You overslept and missed your video time with Soobin. He was probably asleep also. You sighed with anticipation and laid down back. You looked at your knees and sighs with annoyance. You put some bandaged on them. You laid down again and slept back. After a day later, It was finally your competition day. You wore your outfit and now you were waiting for Soobin to come.
you waited 1 minute. 10 minute and half hour. But he wasn't there. You calles him but he wasn't there You got anxious. but he texted you after a few minutes later as he couldn't come to your competition. You sighed heavily. You went to the track and started waiting for the bell. And it started. You were out of breath almost 5 seconds later and you were 2nd now.
It was maybe not the worst one but you can be 1st also. You sighed with pain, tiredness and disappointed feelings. You took your price and went your home with tears. Soobin was at home already with snacks and refreshing bath tub with candles and room sprays. You hugged to his neck while crying loudly. You were too appreciating how he is always near of you and now you were also emotional. "Hey stop crying Y/N. You did your best. I am proud of you. I wanted watch but I couldn't so I made meal for you. I am so curious if you will like it."
Choi Beomgyu
You were on your period. Beomgyu was more stubborn and sarcastic than ever. He was laughing at your figure lying on the couch and was crushing you. But he was trying to make you happy. Most of the time, your mood would end up responding to Beomgyu's sarcastic remarks, but right now, you were in so much pain that Beomgyu's words were causing you more pain. When you take a spoon of ice cream and continue going to bed. In a big size blanket, you were sitting on the couch in pain. Your belly is aching a lot with the period cramps. Beomgyu was watching you from distance. He couldn't handle that. He went to the fridge and brang you some painkillers. He picked your favorite movie as 'Shrek 4' and laid down with you. His warmness was easing you a lot. You laid down with him while watching. Some scenes, your eyes are getting teary and you were finding yourself sniffing. Beomgyu started laughing when he saw you crying over to a scene which Fiona and Shrek is arguing. You were crying and sobbing because it reminds and panicks you if you and Beomgyu will argue like them. Beomgyu hugged you and kissed your cheeks. "Stop 'muah' Crying 'muah' little pumpkin."
You hugged him back and he picked you up for a piggy ride. You were feeling better because you were laughing after crying. Beomgyu has found the best solving for the pain. Laughing and quality times.
You watched all series of Shrek all night and hugged each other. Beomgyu was monitering your pain and also your mood. He was trying to ease your pain a bit again. He holded your hands and rubbed your belly. He kissed your hands and cheeks. He put your hands on his shouders and pulls you closer. "Sleep on me. Need some sleep and rest also."

Y/N hurried down the hallway, her heart racing with the excitement of the first day of high school. She rounded a corner at breakneck speed, only to crash into someone heading in the opposite direction. Papers and books flew everywhere.
"Watch it!" the boy snapped. He had a long wolf cut that almost covered his eyes, giving him a mysterious, almost brooding look.
"I'm so sorry!" Y/N exclaimed, her cheeks burning as she bent down to help gather the scattered items.
"Don't bother," he retorted, swatting her hand away. "Just watch where you're going next time."
Taken aback by his rudeness, Y/N straightened up, her apologetic demeanor shifting to defiance. "I said I was sorry. No need to be so mean about it!"
The boy, who Y/N now recognized as Beomgyu from the rumors about his sharp tongue, glared at her. "Mean? You're the one not looking where you're going."
Their eyes locked, and for a moment, the world seemed to stand still. Y/N couldn't help but notice, despite his attitude, Beomgyu was really handsome. But then she remembered his words, and her annoyance flared up again.
Before they could continue their argument, a teacher's voice cut through the tension. "What's going on here? And why are you two not in class?"
"We were just—" Y/N started.
"Lost," Beomgyu finished for her, his voice losing some of its edge.
The teacher, understanding it was their first day, let it slide and instructed them to follow him to class. As they walked, Y/N and Beomgyu kept shooting glares at each other.
"It's clearly your fault we're late," Beomgyu muttered.
"My fault? You're the one who bumped into me!" Y/N retorted under her breath.
Entering the classroom, Beomgyu's demeanor changed slightly as he saw familiar faces from middle school. But his relief was short-lived when he realized Y/N was seated next to him.
"Great," he muttered, rolling his eyes.
Y/N, undeterred, whispered, "Looks like we're stuck with each other."
Beomgyu just sighed, a reluctant smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth. Despite their rocky start, there was an undeniable spark of intrigue between them. Class wasn't to bad as the two of them where to busy listening to the teachers lecture. As soon as the bell rang for next class y/n was up and already out of the room just so she didn't have to deal with him and focus on next class.
Beomgyu, still fuming from the earlier encounter, watched as Y/N made a beeline for the door the moment the bell rang.
He couldn't help the smirk that crept onto his face. "Well, that's one way to make an exit," he muttered to himself.
Meanwhile, Yeonjun, ever the instigator, elbowed Beomgyu playfully. "Hey, Beomgyu, did you give your new neighbor a welcome gift? Like, I don't know, a scowl and a cold shoulder?"
Beomgyu rolled his eyes. "Oh, shut up, Yeonjun. She's just... infuriating."
"Infuriatingly interesting?" Hueningkai teased, waggling his eyebrows.
"More like a walking disaster," Beomgyu retorted, though his friends noticed the faintest hint of amusement in his tone.
"Seems like fate has a sense of humor," Jeongin added with a laugh.
Meanwhile, Y/N, still simmering from the earlier encounter, recounted the tale to Chaeryeong and her friends, who listened with amusement. "And then he just brushed me off, like I was some sort of annoyance," Y/N huffed, crossing her arms.
Chaeryeong couldn't help but chuckle. "Mr. Grumpy, huh? That's a good one. Fits him perfectly."
As they were talking, Chaeryeong's sister, Chaeyeon, along with her friends Yuna, Yeji, Lia, and Ryujin, joined them. "What's this about Mr. Grumpy?" Chaeyeon asked with a grin.
Chaeryeong quickly filled them in on Y/N's collision with Beomgyu. The group erupted into laughter, with Yeji adding, "Oh, that's Beomgyu for you. Always walking around like he's got a cloud over his head."
"Don't let him get to you," Lia advised, patting Y/N's shoulder. "He's known for his... charming personality."
Just then, Beomgyu walked into the classroom, Yeonjun in tow. His gaze met Y/N's for a fleeting moment before he muttered something under his breath and looked away. Y/N, feeling the sting of his dismissive attitude, turned her head, focusing her attention back on her new friends.
"He's like a storm cloud on legs," Ryujin commented, noticing the exchange.
Yuna, always the optimist, chimed in, "Maybe he's just misunderstood?"
Y/N snorted. "More like misbehaving. I've never met someone so grumpy in my life."
The girls shared a knowing look, their laughter filling the room as Beomgyu and Yeonjun found their seats. Y/N couldn't help but feel a little better, surrounded by her new friends and their light-hearted banter, even with Mr. Grumpy in the same room. The day seemed to stretch on with Beomgyu and Y/N finding new ways to annoy each other, their bickering becoming a source of entertainment for their classmates. Every time they crossed paths, it was like watching a comedic showdown.
"Oops, sorry, didn't see you there, Mr. Grumpy," Y/N said sarcastically, as they narrowly avoided another collision in the hallway.
Beomgyu rolled his eyes. "Maybe try looking where you're going, Mrs. Clumsy," he retorted, his tone dripping with mock concern.
Their classmates whispered and giggled, watching the two with amusement. "Those two are like a live-action sitcom," one student remarked to another.
Lunchtime rolled around, and Y/N found herself welcomed into the lively group of girls. They laughed and chatted, Yuna cracking jokes that sent them all into fits of laughter.
At a nearby table, Beomgyu sat with Yeonjun, Soobin, Taehyun, and Hueningkai, trying to focus on their conversation. Hueningkai said something that made them all laugh, but Beomgyu's attention was unwittingly drawn to Y/N's laughter.
He glanced over, catching sight of Y/N smiling brightly, her eyes sparkling and cheeks flushed from laughing. She looked genuinely happy, and for a moment, Beomgyu found himself captivated.
He quickly snapped out of it, scolding himself mentally. "Ugh, why does she have to be so loud?" he muttered aloud, his annoyance clear.
Yeonjun, who had noticed Beomgyu's brief distraction, teased, "Loud? Or just hard to ignore?"
Beomgyu shot him a look. "Hard to ignore because she's loud," he clarified, trying to focus back on his friends.
As the weeks rolled by, the dynamic between Beomgyu and Y/N didn't improve. If anything, their constant bickering became a staple of the high school's daily drama. Despite their best efforts to steer clear of each other, fate – or perhaps their teachers' mischievous planning – always brought them back together, igniting yet another round of heated arguments.
In the middle of a particularly tense chemistry class, Y/N accidentally knocked over a beaker, causing a minor spill. Beomgyu, who was unfortunately her lab partner for the day, let out an exasperated sigh.
"Great, just great. Can't you do anything right, Mrs. Clumsy?" he groaned, grabbing some paper towels.
Y/N, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment and irritation, shot back, "Oh, I'm sorry, Mr. Grumpy. Not all of us can be perfect like you."
Their classmates snickered, watching the familiar scene unfold. Mrs. Lee, their teacher, intervened with a stern look. "Enough, you two. This is a chemistry lab, not a battlefield."
Despite the teachers' frequent interventions, Beomgyu and Y/N continued to butt heads at every opportunity. Beomgyu's cold demeanor never seemed to thaw around Y/N, and she, in turn, bristled at his every word.
Outside the classroom, Y/N's popularity soared. Her easygoing nature and genuine kindness drew people to her, and she became known as the school's social butterfly. This only added to Beomgyu's growing annoyance.
One day, while hanging out in the cafeteria, Hueningkai couldn't help but gush about Y/N. "You should've seen her playing video games last weekend. She's insanely good!"
Beomgyu's ears perked up, his expression souring. "You hung out with Y/N?" he asked, trying to sound indifferent but failing miserably.
"Yeah, she's really cool and fun," Hueningkai replied, not noticing Beomgyu's growing irritation.
Yeonjun chimed in, his eyes gleaming with a hint of admiration. "And have you seen her dance? It's like she's born to be on stage. Plus, her fashion sense is off the charts."
Beomgyu scoffed, trying to mask his discomfort. "Dancing? Gaming? Fashion? What are we, a fan club?"
Yeonjun and Hueningkai exchanged glances, their brief looks hinting at their small crushes on Y/N. They quickly changed the subject, sensing Beomgyu's rising frustration.
As the months passed, Y/N's popularity continued to grow. She was admired for her authenticity and warmth, qualities that endeared her to both students and teachers alike. Beomgyu, on the other hand, found himself increasingly isolated, his gruff exterior and constant battles with Y/N setting him apart from his peers.
During a school assembly, Y/N was called up to receive an award for her contributions to the school community. The applause was thunderous, with students and teachers alike showing their appreciation for her.
Beomgyu, sitting in the back with a scowl, couldn't help but feel a twinge of something he couldn't quite place. "Why does she have to be so... likable?" he muttered to himself, his gaze fixed on Y/N as she graciously accepted the award.
Yeonjun, sitting beside him, nudged him gently. "Come on, Beomgyu, even you have to admit she's pretty amazing."
Beomgyu just huffed, turning his attention away. "I don't have to admit anything."
Despite his outward disdain, Beomgyu couldn't help but notice the way Y/N interacted with everyone around her. She was always surrounded by a group of friends, laughing and chatting animatedly. Her presence seemed to light up the room, a stark contrast to Beomgyu's more reserved and brooding nature.
In the hallways, whenever Beomgyu and Y/N crossed paths, their exchanges were always sharp and filled with sarcastic remarks. Yet, there was an undeniable energy between them, a tension that neither could ignore.
"Watch where you're going, Beomgyu," Y/N would say, her tone teasing yet edged with frustration.
"Right back at you, Y/N," Beomgyu would retort, his words dripping with sarcasm.
Their classmates often watched these exchanges with a mix of amusement and curiosity, wondering what the next chapter in the ongoing saga of Beomgyu and Y/N would bring. The two of them had become an enigma, a source of endless speculation and gossip.
Unbeknownst to them, their constant bickering and undeniable chemistry had started to draw more attention than either of them realized. Their classmates whispered and speculated, all of them eagerly anticipating the next encounter between the school's most unlikely duo.
.
The weekend had finally arrived, and Y/N was determined to enjoy it. Her first task: completing all her homework early on Saturday morning. After several hours of diligent work, she completed her assignments, freeing up the rest of her weekend. Feeling accomplished, she decided to treat herself by visiting the local record store to buy Metallica's latest album, a treat she had been longing for.
Upon entering the store, Y/N's mood lightened instantly. She greeted Mr. Kim, the owner, with a cheerful "Good morning!" and headed straight for the metal/rock section. Her eyes quickly found the prize – the latest Metallica album. As she reached out to grab it, another hand landed on it simultaneously.
Looking up in surprise, Y/N's heart sank as she saw Beomgyu, his expression mirroring her own annoyance. "What are you doing here?" she asked, her voice laced with disbelief.
"Buying an album, what does it look like?" Beomgyu retorted, not letting go of the album. "I got here first, let go."
"No way, I touched it first!" Y/N insisted, her grip firm on the album.
Their bickering escalated quickly, catching the attention of Mr. Kim, who rushed over to mediate. "Hey, hey, let's not turn my store into a battlefield. How about a fair game to decide who gets the album?"
Reluctantly, both Y/N and Beomgyu agreed, curious about what Mr. Kim had in mind.
"Alright," Mr. Kim began, "first question: Name Metallica's drummer."
"Easy, Lars Ulrich," Y/N answered confidently.
"Correct!" Mr. Kim said. "Now, Beomgyu, name the lead vocalist."
"James Hetfield," Beomgyu replied, a smug look on his face.
"Right again. Next question: What year was their album 'Master of Puppets' released?"
"1986," Beomgyu said quickly, beating Y/N to the answer.
Mr. Kim nodded, impressed. "Y/N, your turn. Name the song Metallica won their first Grammy for."
"'One'," Y/N answered, her eyes narrowing in concentration.
"Tied now. Final question: What's the name of Metallica's first live album?"
Beomgyu thought for a moment before replying, "'Live Shit: Binge & Purge'."
Mr. Kim raised his eyebrows. "Correct. Looks like Beomgyu wins."
Y/N's face fell as Beomgyu let out a triumphant cheer, snatching the album and holding it just out of her reach. "Looks like victory is mine, Mrs. Clumsy."
Frustrated and disappointed, Y/N left the store, muttering about Beomgyu's childishness.
Beomgyu approached the counter to purchase the album, but as he looked at the door through which Y/N had exited, his smile faded. A twinge of guilt nagged at him. He hadn't really cared much about the album initially, but the competitive spirit had taken over when he saw Y/N reaching for it.
Mr. Kim, noticing Beomgyu's conflicted expression, commented, "You know, sometimes winning the battle can feel a bit hollow."
Beomgyu sighed, looking down at the album in his hand. "I guess," he murmured, his thoughts drifting to Y/N's disappointed face.
As Beomgyu walked out of the record store, clutching the newly acquired Metallica album, his triumph was tinged with an odd sense of regret. He had won the album, yes, but at what cost? Their rivalry, always simmering, had just intensified. He pondered over this as he headed home, the album in his hand a symbol of a victory that felt increasingly hollow.
Come Monday, the school corridors were buzzing with the usual energy. Y/N, surrounded by her friends Felix, Seungmin, Yuna, Lia, and others, recounted her weekend misadventure at the record store.
Felix, leaning against a locker, asked curiously, "So, did you finally get that Metallica album you were raving about?"
Y/N's expression soured. "No, thanks to Mr. Grumpy. He snagged it in a quiz-off," she grumbled, still feeling the sting of defeat.
Seungmin, his eyebrows raised in surprise, chimed in, "Wait, you're into metal? That's unexpected... and cool!"
Yuna, with a playful smirk, added, "Looks like you and Beomgyu have more in common than just your love for arguing."
Y/N rolled her eyes, "Please, the only thing we share is a music taste, unfortunately."
Their conversation continued, a mix of teasing and laughter, but Y/N couldn't shake off the irritation that Beomgyu had beaten her to the album.
Meanwhile, in another part of the school, Beomgyu was with Jeongin, Hueningkai, Yeonjun, and Heeseung, proudly showing off his Metallica album. The plastic wrap was still intact, untouched since he bought it.
Jeongin whistled appreciatively. "Nice win, man. But aren't you going to open it?"
Beomgyu shrugged nonchalantly. "Haven't got around to it yet."
Hueningkai, leaning over to get a better look, said, "You know, Y/N was after this album too. Funny how you both like the same stuff."
Beomgyu's expression hardened slightly at the mention of Y/N. "Yeah, a real riot," he muttered sarcastically.
Yeonjun, ever the observer, noted, "Seems like your battle with Y/N is more than just verbal sparring."
Heeseung, who had been quiet, suddenly spoke up. "Hey, why haven't you removed the plastic? Isn't that the best part about getting a new album?"
Beomgyu glanced at the album, his fingers tracing the sealed edges. "I guess I was more focused on winning than actually wanting it," he admitted, a rare moment of introspection showing on his face.
The group fell into an unusual silence, each pondering over Beomgyu's confession. The bell rang, signaling the end of their break, and they dispersed to their respective classes, the album still wrapped in its plastic, a silent testament to the complex dynamics of high school rivalries.
Throughout the day, whispers and glances were exchanged between the two factions. Y/N's friends teased her about her unexpected musical connection with Beomgyu, while his friends prodded him about the unopened album.
In the hallway, Y/N and Beomgyu's paths inevitably crossed. They exchanged a brief, tense glance, both acutely aware of the album incident.
"Enjoying your new album?" Y/N asked, her tone dripping with sarcasm.
"Absolutely," Beomgyu replied dryly. "It's sitting on my shelf, still in its plastic glory."
Y/N snorted. "Typical. Win a battle but lose sight of the war."
Beomgyu raised an eyebrow. "And what war would that be?"
"The war of actually enjoying things, not just winning them," Y/N shot back, before turning on her heel and walking away.
Just as Y/N pivoted to walk away from Beomgyu, she collided head-on with someone else. Strong hands reached out, steadying her before she could stumble. She looked up to find herself face-to-face with Jeongin, who was grinning at her.
"Wow, are you okay?" he asked, a chuckle escaping his lips.
Y/N, still a bit startled, managed a laugh in return. "Yeah, just my usual graceful self," she joked, trying to brush off the embarrassment.
Jeongin's smile widened, and he teasingly added, "Beomgyu was right about the whole 'clumsy' thing, huh? But it's kind of cute, in a way."
Y/N rolled her eyes playfully. "Thanks, I guess. It's nice to know my clumsiness is appreciated."
His gaze briefly flickered past her to where Beomgyu stood, watching them. He then turned back to Y/N with a more serious expression. "Do you think you and Beomgyu will ever stop fighting?"
Y/N shrugged, her expression a mix of frustration and resignation. "I don't know. It's always him who starts it, and I'm not one to just let things slide. He'd have to stop first."
Their conversation was light, but it was clear that the ongoing feud with Beomgyu was a point of annoyance for Y/N. She didn't understand why he always seemed to target her, and it was exhausting to keep up the constant bickering.
Unbeknownst to her, Beomgyu's attention was fixed on their interaction. As he watched Jeongin and Y/N standing close together, chatting and laughing, a new, unfamiliar feeling simmered within him. He couldn't quite place it – it wasn't jealousy, surely. He didn't like Y/N, after all. But the sight of them together, so at ease, stirred something in him.
The bell rang, signaling the end of their break, and students began to scatter towards their classes. Y/N waved goodbye to Jeongin and made her way down the corridor, unaware of Beomgyu's eyes following her.
As she walked away, Beomgyu's gaze lingered on her retreating figure. The feeling inside him was unsettling, and he shook his head, trying to dispel it. He didn't like Y/N. That much was clear. So why did seeing her with Jeongin bother him so much?
The rest of the day was filled with the usual hustle and bustle of school life, but Beomgyu found himself distracted. The image of Y/N laughing with Jeongin kept replaying in his mind, accompanied by that strange, unsettling feeling.
After school, as he walked home with the Metallica album in his backpack, he couldn't help but think about Y/N's words from earlier. "The war of actually enjoying things, not just winning them." Her words echoed in his head, and he wondered if maybe, just maybe, there was more to their interactions than just mindless bickering.
As the school year drew to a close, the excitement for summer break was palpable. The students eagerly anticipated their well-deserved freedom, and none more so than Y/N and Beomgyu, who were ready for a respite from their constant bickering. Yet, there was a sense of curiosity in the air about what the new school year would bring for their ongoing rivalry.
During the break, Y/N kept busy with her close-knit circle of friends. She often met up with Yeonjun, Hueningkai, and others, making the most of the summer days. Beomgyu, though not particularly thrilled about Y/N's inclusion, found himself in these gatherings more often than not, thanks to their mutual friends.
One such day, Y/N and Beomgyu found themselves at a group hangout in the park, along with a large crowd of friends: Yeonjun, Hueningkai, Taehyun, Soobin, Jeongin, Wooyoung, Chanbin, Felix, Yuna, Lia, Chaeryeong, Chaeyeon, Ryujin, Yeji, and of course, Beomgyu.
Yeonjun, always the life of the party, was in high spirits. He turned to Y/N with a mischievous grin. "Hey Y/N, have you ever heard my rendition of Bon Jovi? I've been practicing just for you," he teased, strumming an air guitar.
Y/N laughed, rolling her eyes. "Oh, please, spare us the torture, Yeonjun."
Beomgyu, who was sitting a little apart from the group, couldn't help but overhear. He watched, his expression souring as Yeonjun continued his playful serenade.
Hueningkai nudged Beomgyu, noticing his discomfort. "What's up with you? Jealous of Yeonjun's mad guitar skills?"
Beomgyu scowled. "Please, I could play circles around him."
"So, why don't you?" Hueningkai challenged with a smirk.
Beomgyu hesitated, then shook his head. "Not worth it. I'm not here to entertain Y/N."
Yeonjun, meanwhile, had grabbed Y/N's hand, twirling her around in an impromptu dance. Y/N was laughing, clearly enjoying the moment, but Beomgyu felt an irritating twinge in his chest at the sight.
"Looks like someone's enjoying the spotlight," Taehyun commented, watching the scene with amusement.
Beomgyu muttered under his breath, "More like hogging it."
The summer afternoon at the park was a mosaic of laughter, games, and shared stories, with Beomgyu sitting a bit apart, seemingly lost in thought. His friends were fully engaged in a spirited game of charades, but Beomgyu's attention was often drawn to Y/N, who was right in the thick of it.
"Man, you've been staring at Y/N the whole time. What's up?" Soobin teased, nudging Beomgyu.
"I'm not staring. Just... wondering how she manages to trip over nothing," Beomgyu replied, trying to sound indifferent.
"Sure, sure," Hueningkai chuckled. "Whatever you say, man."
Yeonjun, overhearing the exchange, joined in. "Come on, Beomgyu, admit it. You find her fascinating."
"Fascinatingly annoying," Beomgyu retorted, but his gaze unconsciously drifted back to Y/N.
As the afternoon wore on, they all took turns sharing funny and embarrassing stories. When it was Y/N's turn, she launched into a hilarious tale about a camping trip gone wrong, complete with wild gestures and comical expressions.
"...and then I walked straight into the tent pole!" Y/N concluded, sending everyone into fits of laughter.
Even Beomgyu couldn't help but chuckle, though he quickly masked it with a cough.
The sun began to lower in the sky, signaling the end of their day at the park. As everyone started saying their goodbyes, Beomgyu and Y/N found themselves awkwardly facing each other.
"So, uh, see you around, Y/N," Beomgyu muttered, not sure why he felt the need to say anything at all.
"Yeah, see you, Beomgyu. Try not to miss me too much," Y/N quipped with a teasing smile.
Beomgyu just huffed and turned away, but inside, her words left him feeling oddly unsettled.
As he walked home alone, Beomgyu replayed the day's events in his head. Y/N's infectious laugh, her storytelling, the way she had everyone captivated – it was all so irritatingly endearing.
"Why does she have to be like that? Why does it even matter to me?" he mumbled to himself, kicking at a stray stone on the sidewalk.
He couldn't shake the feeling that there was more to his thoughts about Y/N than mere annoyance. As he pondered this, the sun set, casting long shadows on the path before him.
The quiet streets echoed with the remnants of the day's laughter and conversations. Beomgyu couldn't help but feel a sense of apprehension about the upcoming school year. His thoughts were a jumble of confusion and curiosity about his and Y/N's interactions. What did this all mean for their ongoing rivalry? And more importantly, why did it matter so much to him?
As the second half of the summer holidays unfolded, Y/N's presence in the group hangouts became increasingly scarce, leaving everyone, including Beomgyu, wondering why. Even Beomgyu, who would never admit it, found himself missing her usual lively banter and energy.
One day, when Y/N finally did show up, she was immediately surrounded by a flurry of questions.
"Where have you been hiding?" Yeonjun asked, his tone playful yet curious.
"Yeah, we've missed you at our epic video game battles," Hueningkai added, a hint of disappointment in his voice.
Y/N offered them a sheepish smile. "Just needed some me-time, you know? A bit of peace and quiet at home."
Her explanation seemed to satisfy most of the group, but there was a sense that she was holding something back. A few weeks later, Y/N had an announcement that piqued everyone's curiosity.
"I want you guys to meet someone special," she said, a mysterious smile on her lips.
The day of the introduction arrived, and the group eagerly awaited Y/N's arrival. She walked in, hand in hand with a guy none of them had seen before. The reactions were immediate and varied – gasps of surprise, amused smirks, and even playful jealousy from Yeonjun and Hueningkai.
"This is Hwan," Y/N said, beaming. "He's a year older and goes to a different school. Our moms are friends, so we've known each other for a while. But we only recently started dating."
Beomgyu, who had been quiet, felt a strange twist in his gut at the word 'boyfriend.' He eyed Hwan, his expression turning cold and dark. There was an inexplicable feeling of discomfort at seeing Y/N so close to someone else.
Hwan, oblivious to Beomgyu's reaction, greeted everyone warmly. "It's great to meet all of you. Y/N's told me a lot about her amazing friends."
The group chatted and asked Hwan questions, trying to get to know him better. Y/N looked genuinely happy, her laughter and smiles directed mostly at Hwan.
Beomgyu, however, couldn't shake off the unsettling feeling. He found himself disliking Hwan without even knowing him. "So, you've been ditching us for him?" he finally asked, his tone sharper than intended.
Y/N looked taken aback by his tone. "Well, Beomgyu, I didn't realize I needed your permission to have a life outside this group," she retorted, her tone matching his.
There was an awkward pause before Yeonjun stepped in, trying to lighten the mood. "Hey, let's not start World War III here. We're just happy to meet Hwan, right, Beomgyu?"
Beomgyu's eyes narrowed as he watched Y/N and Hwan laughing together. His friends noticed his unusual silence and fixed gaze.
"Earth to Beomgyu," Taehyun said, waving a hand in front of him. "You've been staring at Y/N and what's-his-face all day."
Beomgyu grunted dismissively, "Just observing the new guy. He's... too nice."
Yeonjun chuckled, "Too nice? That's a new one. What's wrong with being nice?"
"Nothing," Beomgyu snapped. "It's just... it's not normal. No one's that perfect."
As Hwan tried to strike up a conversation with Beomgyu later, Beomgyu's responses were cold and brief. "So, I hear you're into rock music. What bands are you into?" Hwan asked, trying to find common ground.
"Various ones," Beomgyu replied curtly, not meeting Hwan's eyes.
Hueningkai, picking up on the tension, leaned in. "You know, you could try being a bit friendlier. He seems like a decent guy."
Beomgyu just shrugged, still watching Y/N and Hwan from the corner of his eye. He couldn't shake off the feeling of annoyance at seeing them together.
Later, as the group started to leave, Beomgyu's thoughts were still muddled. The sight of Y/N with someone else had irked him more than he wanted to admit.
The start of the second year at school brought with it the usual buzz and excitement, but for Y/N and Beomgyu, it also reignited their old rivalry. This year, however, there was an added layer of tension due to Y/N's new boyfriend, Hwan. Beomgyu's behavior towards Y/N had become more standoffish than ever.
As Y/N tried to focus on her friends and Hwan, Beomgyu's presence loomed larger, making it difficult for her to ignore him. His disdain for her new relationship was evident, his body language speaking volumes whenever she mentioned Hwan.
One day, their usual snide remarks escalated into a full-blown argument. As they crossed paths in the crowded hallway, Beomgyu couldn't resist a jab. "So, Y/N, still playing happy couples with Hwan?"
Y/N, already on edge, snapped back. "What's your problem, Beomgyu? Can't stand seeing someone else happy?"
Their voices rose, drawing the attention of their classmates. Beomgyu's expression was one of scorn. "Happy? Please, you're just blinded by his 'niceness'. It's all an act. Just because your moms are friends doesn't mean he's good for you."
Y/N stopped in her tracks, facing him squarely. "And what would you know about it? Why do you even care?"
"I don't care," Beomgyu retorted quickly. "It's just obvious he's not right for you."
Y/N's frustration boiled over. "That's not your decision to make. You're not my dad, Beomgyu."
Beomgyu scoffed. "Clearly, someone needs to be. You're not seeing the real picture here."
"What 'real picture'? That you can't stand the thought of me being with someone?" Y/N accused, her voice tinged with anger.
"That's not it," Beomgyu shot back. "He's just... too perfect. It's unnatural. You're falling for a facade."
Their argument attracted a small crowd, their classmates whispering and nudging each other. Hueningkai and Taehyun attempted to intervene.
"Guys, chill. This isn't the place," Heeseung said, trying to mediate.
"Yeah, you're causing a scene," Taehyun added, glancing nervously at the gathering students.
Y/N, ignoring them, continued, "Why do you even care? Why do you hate me so much, Beomgyu?"
"I don't hate you," Beomgyu replied, his voice lowering slightly. "I just... I don't like seeing you being fooled."
"Fooled?" Y/N echoed, her voice rising again. "By who, Hwan? Because he's been nothing but genuine."
Before Beomgyu could respond, a couple of teachers arrived, having been alerted by the noise. "What is going on here?" one of them demanded, making their way through the crowd.
Y/N and Beomgyu were both taken by surprise, their argument abruptly halted. "It's nothing, sir," Y/N tried to explain, but her voice was shaky.
"This doesn't look like 'nothing' to me," the teacher said sternly, looking at Beomgyu. "You two, come with me. Now."
As they were led away, Beomgyu glanced over his shoulder, calling out to Y/N, "Just watch, Y/N. Don't come crying to me when he turns out to be an asshole."
Y/N, her face a mix of anger and confusion, shot back, "I wasn't planning on it."
In the corridor, the group of friends stood in a tight circle, still reeling from the intensity of the argument between Y/N and Beomgyu. Yeonjun was the first to break the silence.
"Did you guys see Beomgyu's face? He looked like he was about to explode," he said, still processing the scene.
Lia nodded, her expression one of concern. "Yeah, and Y/N wasn't backing down either. I've never seen her that angry."
Yuna chimed in, "I think Beomgyu's been a bit too much lately. Ever since Y/N started dating Hwan, he's been acting weird."
"So you think he's jealous?" Taehyun asked, his eyebrows raised in curiosity.
"It's not just jealousy," Hueningkai interjected thoughtfully. "He's always been kind of harsh with Y/N, even before Hwan. It's like he's looking for her attention."
Jeongin agreed, "Yeah, it's like they've been in this weird dance since day one. He teases her, she snaps back. It's like they can't help themselves."
Soobin, who had been quiet, finally spoke. "I think Beomgyu might not even realize his feelings. He's always putting up this tough exterior, but with Y/N, it's different."
Yeonjun nodded. "Exactly. It's like he doesn't know how to express himself properly, so he ends up being mean or picking fights."
Lia sighed, "But that's no excuse for the way he's been acting. I mean, Y/N's in a relationship now. He needs to respect that."
Yuna added, "And Y/N's been trying to avoid conflict. She's been really happy with Hwan. Beomgyu needs to deal with his feelings in a healthier way."
Jeongin looked thoughtful. "You know, I wonder if Beomgyu even realizes how his actions affect Y/N. He's so caught up in his own feelings."
"Whatever it is, I hope they sort it out soon. It's affecting the whole group." Heeseung concluded.
As they continued discussing, trying to make sense of their friends' complex dynamic, it was clear that the situation had left them all feeling a mix of worry and frustration. Meanwhile, in separate classrooms, Y/N and Beomgyu were left to their thoughts. Y/N sat by the window, her mind racing. Despite Beomgyu's cold demeanor towards her, she couldn't deny the strange attraction she felt towards him. His presence always stirred a mix of emotions within her.
Then there was Hwan, kind and gentle, who had entered her life through their parents' connection. He was everything Beomgyu wasn't – understanding, patient, and warm. Yet, she couldn't shake off the feeling that something was missing.
In another classroom, Beomgyu sat slumped at a desk, his mind a whirlwind of emotions. He thought about Y/N and their constant bickering. Deep down, he knew his behavior towards her was more than just annoyance. The realization that someone else was making her happy, especially someone like Hwan, bothered him more than he wanted to admit.
"Anyone would be better than Hwan... even me," he muttered to himself, a frown etching his face. The thought surprised him, revealing a side of his feelings he hadn't fully acknowledged yet.
The school corridors buzzed with the usual end-of-day chatter, but for Y/N and Beomgyu, it was as if they were in a bubble of their own making. They moved through the crowd, deliberately avoiding each other, yet unable to stop the furtive glances that betrayed their mutual awareness.
Y/N walked with Lia and Yuna, her mind still replaying the argument. Lia, noticing Y/N's distraction, nudged her gently. "You okay? You seem miles away."
Y/N sighed, "Yeah, just thinking about the whole Beomgyu thing. I don't get why he's acting like this."
Yuna, always the more outspoken, chimed in, "Honestly, it's like watching a drama unfold. But you two need to figure things out. This tension is unbearable."
Across the hall, Beomgyu walked with Yeonjun and Hueningkai, his expression sullen. Yeonjun, glancing over at Y/N, then back at Beomgyu, said, "You know, you could just talk to her. Clear the air."
Beomgyu shook his head, "And say what? 'Sorry for being a jerk but I actually might like you?' That would go over well."
Hueningkai laughed, "It's better than this silent war you're both waging."
As the day wound down and they all walked their separate ways home, the air was thick with questions and uncertainties. The events of the day had only added to the complexity of Y/N and Beomgyu's relationship.
Y/N, walking home, couldn't shake off her mixed feelings. "He's so infuriating," she muttered to herself. "Why does he have to be so... so Beomgyu?"
Meanwhile, Beomgyu's thoughts were similarly conflicted. "What's wrong with me?" he pondered. "Why can't I just leave her alone?"
Their friends, meanwhile, continued to discuss the situation amongst themselves. "Something's got to give," Taehyun said. "They can't keep going like this."
Yeonjun nodded in agreement. "Yeah. It's like they're drawn to each other but too stubborn to admit it."
Lying in his room, Beomgyu stared at the ceiling, his mind clouded with thoughts of Y/N. Seeing her so happy with Hwan stirred a complex web of emotions within him. Turning to his side, his gaze fell on the still-sealed Metallica album on his desk, a tangible reminder of his and Y/N's tumultuous interactions.
Frustrated by the constant presence of Y/N in his thoughts, Beomgyu decided to visit the record store the next evening. He needed a distraction, something to focus on besides the confusing emotions swirling inside him.
As he rounded a corner in the store, Beomgyu's heart skipped a beat. There, in the midst of an argument, were Y/N and Hwan. Beomgyu's eyes narrowed as he noticed Hwan's grip on Y/N's wrist, subtle but firm.
The argument between Y/N and Hwan seemed to falter as Hwan spotted Beomgyu. His grip loosened, and Y/N quickly pulled her hand away, holding it close to her body. Beomgyu could see Y/N struggling to hold back tears, her expression a mix of anger and hurt.
Beomgyu, despite his complicated feelings towards Y/N, felt a surge of protectiveness. "Is everything okay here?" he asked, his voice betraying his concern.
Y/N, startled by his sudden appearance, wiped her eyes quickly. "It's nothing, Beomgyu. Just a small disagreement, that's all," she said, her voice slightly shaky.
Hwan, trying to regain composure, offered a forced smile. "Yeah, we're fine. Just discussing some... music preferences."
Beomgyu's gaze lingered on Y/N, sensing there was more to the story. "If you're sure," he said, though his tone suggested he wasn't entirely convinced.
Y/N nodded, avoiding Beomgyu's gaze. "Yeah, we're fine. Thanks."
Beomgyu, still concerned, lingered for a moment longer before turning to browse through the albums. His mind, however, was far from the music in front of him. The encounter with Y/N and Hwan had left him feeling uneasy.
After selecting the Alice Cooper album he had come for, Beomgyu glanced back at Y/N and Hwan. They seemed to have calmed down, but the tension was still palpable.
Beomgyu's walk home was filled with conflicting emotions. The image of Y/N trying to hold back tears at the record store lingered in his mind, unsettling him more than he wanted to admit. Once home, he impulsively dialed Jeongin's number, needing to share what he'd seen.
"Jeongin, I need to talk," Beomgyu began, the moment his friend picked up the call.
"Sure, Beomgyu, what's up?" Jeongin's voice came through, sounding concerned.
"I was at the record store, and I saw Y/N with Hwan. They were arguing, and Hwan... he had a tight grip on her wrist. It looked really possessive," Beomgyu explained, his voice a mixture of worry and confusion.
"That sounds pretty intense. Are you okay?" Jeongin's concern was evident.
"I don't know," Beomgyu admitted. "It's bothering me more than it should. She looked really upset, Jeongin."
Jeongin paused before replying, "It's good you're worried about her, Beomgyu. Maybe you should check if she's okay."
Beomgyu sighed, "I don't know if I should get involved. We're not exactly friends."
Jeongin encouraged, "Maybe this is a chance to change that. Just a friendly check-in to make sure she's alright."
Beomgyu ended the call with a lot to ponder. Jeongin's words resonated with him, suggesting a new perspective on his relationship with Y/N.
The next day at school, Y/N appeared distant and tired, her usual energy noticeably dimmed. Her friends immediately picked up on her changed demeanor.
"Y/N, you look exhausted. Is everything alright?" Lia asked with a concerned frown as they walked to class.
"Yeah, I'm fine. Just didn't sleep well," Y/N replied, trying to brush off her friend's concern.
Yuna, not convinced, prodded further, "It's about Hwan, isn't it? You can talk to us, you know."
Y/N managed a weak smile. "It's nothing, really. Just a small argument. I don't want to talk about it."
The friends exchanged worried glances but decided not to push her further. "Okay, but we're here for you, whenever you're ready," Lia reassured her.
Beomgyu observed Y/N from across the schoolyard, her usual lively spirit noticeably dimmed. Jeongin's words about reaching out to her rang in his ears, stirring a conflict within him. He wanted to help, but their history of antagonism left him uncertain about her reception.
As the weeks went by, Y/N's condition seemed to worsen. She became increasingly quiet, her vibrant energy fading. One day, Beomgyu noticed a bruise on her neck, poorly concealed with makeup. His usual annoyance with her transformed into concern, and he found himself walking towards her before he could change his mind.
Yeonjun, who had been chatting with Beomgyu, was startled as he watched his friend abruptly walk away. "Hey, where's Beomgyu off to?" he muttered, his eyes following Beomgyu's determined stride.
Approaching Y/N, Beomgyu blocked her path and firmly but gently took her hand, leading her to a quieter area. Y/N protested, "Beomgyu, what are you doing? Let me go!"
Ignoring her protests, Beomgyu pressed her gently against a wall in a secluded part of the schoolyard.
His voice was a mix of harshness and concern as he carefully pulled down her collar, revealing the extent of the bruise. "You thought you could hide that? He did this to you, didn't he?"
Y/N, struggling to maintain her composure, snapped back, "It's none of your business, Beomgyu. Leave me alone."
Beomgyu's expression was a mix of anger and worry. "I can't just stand by and watch this happen. I told you he wasn't good for you, didn't I?"
Y/N tried to push past him, but Beomgyu's hands on the wall beside her head blocked her escape. "You don't know anything about us. Just stay out of it," she said, her voice betraying her weakness.
Beomgyu, towering over her, softened his tone, the concern in his eyes evident. "Y/N, look at me. This isn't right. You don't deserve to be treated like this."
Tears began to well up in Y/N's eyes, her façade crumbling. "I thought... I thought he cared about me."
Seeing her vulnerability, Beomgyu's demeanor shifted entirely. He gently wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into a comforting hug as she began to cry. "It's okay, Y/N. You're not alone in this."
As Y/N leaned into Beomgyu's embrace, her defenses crumbling, she found a sense of solace she hadn't expected. Her tears flowed freely, a release of the pent-up emotions she had been holding back.
Beomgyu, feeling the intensity of the moment, whispered, "It's okay, Y/N. Let it all out. You don't have to hold back."
Y/N, her voice breaking, responded, "I didn't know where else to go. I never thought I'd find comfort in you, of all people."
Beomgyu gently adjusted her collar to cover the bruise. "I know we've had our differences, but I can't just stand by and watch you get hurt."
Y/N, gripping his shirt, looked up at him, her eyes searching his. "Why are you doing this, Beomgyu? After everything?"
Beomgyu sighed, his expression softening. "Because no matter what's happened between us, I can't ignore when someone's in pain. Especially you, Y/N."
As they stood there, lost in the moment, Yeonjun and the rest of their friends appeared in the distance, having been led there by Yeonjun's concern.
"There they are," Yeonjun said, relief evident in his voice. "I knew something was up when Beomgyu bolted like that."
The group approached cautiously, sensing the gravity of the moment. "Is everything okay?" Lia asked, her voice laced with concern.
Y/N, wiping away her tears, tried to compose herself. "Yeah, I'll be okay. Thanks, Beomgyu," she said, stepping back from the embrace.
Beomgyu nodded, his gaze still protective. "If you ever need to talk, I'm here. We all are," he said, gesturing to their friends.
As the group enveloped Y/N, offering their support, Beomgyu stepped back, watching the scene with a mixture of relief and contemplation. The encounter had changed something between him and Y/N, opening a door to a new understanding and perhaps, a new beginning.
.
At their favorite spot in the schoolyard, Beomgyu, Jeongin, Hueningkai, Taehyun, Lia, Yuna, and Soobin gathered. The mood was unusually somber, their concern for Y/N palpable.
"Y/N's been really off these past few days," Lia started, breaking the silence.
"Yeah, she's not her usual self at all," Yuna added, frowning. "Her laugh, her smile... it's like they've just disappeared."
Beomgyu remained quiet, reflecting on his observations of Y/N. He had been keeping a close watch on her since learning about the issues with Hwan, though he hadn't shared this with the group. He couldn't help but miss the vibrancy Y/N usually brought to their group.
"I haven't seen her light up in weeks," Taehyun said, a hint of sadness in his voice. "Remember how she used to brighten up the entire place?"
"Yeah," Hueningkai agreed, "and now, there's no sparkle in her eyes anymore. She seems... different, more fragile."
Beomgyu felt a familiar pang of concern. He knew more than he let on, especially about Y/N's struggles with Hwan, but he chose to keep this to himself. He still remembered how Y/N had confided in him that she tried to break up with Hwan multiple times since that evening at the record store but found it difficult due to Hwan's abusive behavior.
Jeongin glanced at Beomgyu, recalling the call they had that night. He had a rough idea of what might be happening between Hwan and Y/N, but he kept his suspicions to himself, noticing how Beomgyu had subtly shifted from his usual annoyance to a more protective stance, albeit still maintaining his tsundere demeanor.
"It's just not like her to be this quiet," Soobin commented, looking genuinely concerned.
"Has anyone talked to her about this?" Jeongin asked, probing carefully, careful not to reveal his conversation with Beomgyu.
"Not really, she keeps to herself these days," Lia replied. "It's like she's building walls around her."
In the schoolyard, Beomgyu's thoughts were a mix of frustration and concern. He knew the group was worried about Y/N, but he couldn't fully disclose what he knew about her situation with Hwan. He decided to keep an eye on her and be there for her when she was ready to talk.
The conversation shifted as Chaeryeong's upcoming birthday pool party became the topic. Everyone was excited, but Y/N seemed hesitant. Chaeryeong, noticing her reluctance, persistently begged her to attend. "Come on, Y/N, it won't be the same without you," she urged, following Y/N around the school.
Finally, Y/N relented, "Alright, alright, I'll come. Just stop following me!"
That evening, Y/N prepared for the party. She dolled herself up, trying to bring some normalcy back into her life, but her efforts were interrupted when Hwan unexpectedly walked into her room.
Hwan's smile was charming, his aura seemingly kind. "Wow, you look amazing," he complimented her, closing the door behind him.
But as soon as the door clicked shut, his demeanor changed. "Where do you think you're going?" he asked, his tone darkening.
Y/N, attempting to maintain her newfound confidence, replied, "I'm going to Chaeryeong's birthday party."
"Really? And you didn't think to tell me beforehand?" Hwan snapped, his gaze turning menacing.
Y/N, though scared from his previous violent outbursts, stood her ground. "I didn't think I needed your permission. You're not my dad."
Hwan's anger flared as he grabbed her hair firmly. "Don't get smart with me, Y/N. Remember, I'm your boyfriend."
"So, it's okay for you to cheat on me, but I can't go to a friend's birthday party?" Y/N retorted, her fear mingling with defiance.
Hwan tightened his grip. "You can go, but I'm coming with you. And about the cheating – watch what you say about me."
Y/N felt a mixture of anger and fear. "Fine, come with me. But don't think you can control me," she said, her voice trembling.
Hwan released her hair, a smirk crossing his face. "We'll see about that. Let's go."
As they descended the stairs, Hwan's mother noticed them. Her eyes lit up at the sight of Y/N. "Look at you, all dressed up! Where are you two headed?"
Y/N opened her mouth to answer, but Hwan quickly interjected with a sweet voice, his arm around her waist. "We're going to Y/N's friend's birthday party."
His mother smiled, unaware of the tension between them. "That sounds lovely. Have a great time, you two."
Y/N, trying to maintain her composure despite Hwan's oppressive presence, managed a forced smile as they left for Chaeryeong and Chae-yeon's house. The prospect of being among friends at the party brought her a sense of relief, mixed with an undercurrent of dread due to Hwan's company.
Arriving at the house, Y/N rang the doorbell. Chae-yeon opened the door, her face lighting up upon seeing Y/N. She stepped forward and embraced Y/N warmly, then noticed Hwan. Her smile faltered slightly, a look of confusion crossing her face, but she didn't comment and welcomed them inside.
Inside, the atmosphere was lively. When Y/N entered the living room, everyone cheered, their faces brightening at her arrival. Chaeryeong, especially thrilled to see her, rushed over. "Y/N, you made it! Happy you're here!" she exclaimed, accepting Y/N's gift with a wide smile.
As Chaeryeong went to place the gift with the others, she offered drinks to her guests. Before Y/N could respond, Hwan interjected, "Y/N will have a soft drink, and I'll take a beer."
Chaeryeong gave Y/N a quick, puzzled look before heading to the kitchen to fetch the drinks.
Lia and Yuna approached Y/N, their presence bringing a semblance of comfort. "Hey, Y/N, glad you could come!" Lia said with a smile.
"Yeah, we've missed you around," Yuna added, her tone warm.
Yeonjun, Soobin, Taehyun, and Hueningkai joined in soon after, along with Jeongin, creating a small circle of friends around Y/N. She felt a bit more at ease, knowing Hwan wouldn't act out in front of everyone.
Beomgyu, meanwhile, watched from a distance, his protective instincts on high alert. The sight of Hwan next to Y/N stirred a mix of anger and concern within him.
When Chaeryeong returned with the drinks, she handed Hwan his beer and gave Y/N a 'soft' drink that was actually her favorite sweet alcoholic beverage, disguised as juice.
As the evening progressed, Y/N found an opportunity to slip away from Hwan, who was now engaged in conversation with a group of her friends. Seeking a moment of solitude, she wandered outside into the garden, where several people were enjoying the pool and the cool night air. Keeping her distance from the water, Y/N just wanted to breathe in the fresh air.
Soobin noticed Y/N by herself and walked over to join her. "Hey, Y/N, mind if I join you?" he asked gently, sitting beside her.
Y/N looked at Soobin, grateful for the company. "No, not at all. It's nice to get some air."
Soobin nodded, sensing her need for a calm moment. "You know, if you ever need to talk or anything, we're all here for you."
Y/N offered a small, thankful smile. "I know, and I really appreciate it. Tonight's been... a lot."
Soobin placed a comforting hand on her shoulder. "Just remember, you're not alone in this, okay?"
Y/N sighed softly, her gaze drifting to the night sky. "I'm just trying to figure things out. It's complicated."
Soobin sat alongside Y/N at Chaeryeong's birthday party, providing a comforting presence amidst the lively atmosphere. Their conversation flowed naturally, covering a range of topics.
"You know, we all really miss you hanging out with us," Soobin said gently. "It's not the same without your laugh and energy around."
Y/N offered a faint smile, her eyes distant. "I miss you guys too... with everyone."
"There's something else," Soobin added cautiously. "We've all noticed you don't seem as happy as before. You look... more tired, paler. Even Beomgyu's concerned, and he's usually so hard to read."
Y/N's thoughts drifted back to a recent encounter with Beomgyu. She remembered how he had found her alone, seen the bruises on her neck, and how he had offered her an unexpected moment of kindness and comfort. She longed to share her struggles with Hwan with her friends, but fear held her back. She was grateful, though, that Beomgyu had respected her wishes to keep it private until she was ready.
Their conversation was interrupted as Hwan emerged from the house, his voice falsely cheerful. "There you are," he said, lightly patting Y/N's head, causing her to flinch subtly.
Spotting the pool, Hwan's expression changed, a mischievous glint appearing in his eyes. "Hey, Y/N, how about a swim with me?" he suggested, trying to lure her away from Soobin.
Y/N hesitated, fear creeping into her voice. "I'd rather not, Hwan."
Hwan persisted, tightening his grip on her hand. "Oh, come on, it's a party! Swimming is fun, right?"
Soobin, noticing Y/N's discomfort, intervened. "She said she doesn't want to go in, man."
Hwan laughed it off. "It's just a dip," he assured, as he began to lift Y/N up.
Y/N's panic escalated; she cried out and struggled against Hwan's hold. "Please, put me down! I can't swim!"
Hwan disregarded her pleas, chuckling as if it were a joke. "You're just saying that. Come on, it'll be fun."
Several friends, aware of Y/N's fear of water, shouted for Hwan to stop, but he didn't listen. In a swift motion, he threw Y/N into the pool. The party fell silent as Y/N hit the water, gasping and flailing helplessly.
Beomgyu, watching from afar, felt a surge of fury. As Y/N struggled to surface, he rushed to the poolside, ready to act. Yeonjun was also prepared to dive in, but Beomgyu was quicker, plunging into the water. He reached the bottom of the deep end, where Y/N lay motionless, and swiftly brought her up to the surface.
Beomgyu gasped when he reached the surface but Y/N was unresponsive.
Yeonjun instructed everyone to back off, giving them space. Hwan, realizing the gravity of his actions, tried to approach, but Beomgyu's fierce glare and sharp command kept him at bay.
"Stay back!" Beomgyu yelled, his eyes blazing with anger.
Yeonjun, Hueningkai, and Taehyun formed a barrier, preventing Hwan from getting any closer. Meanwhile, Yuna and Chaeryeong rushed to find Chaeryeong's parents.
Chae-yeon confronted Hwan, her voice stern. "You need to leave my house. Now."
Hwan's expression darkened. "Leave? Seriously?"
"Yes," Chae-yeon insisted firmly. "Now."
Beomgyu carefully laid Y/N on the ground. Jeongin and Soobin hurried to fetch towels, while Lia went for dry clothes. Beomgyu checked Y/N's pulse and then, without hesitation, began administering CPR. He performed mouth-to-mouth resuscitation, followed by chest compressions, his focus solely on reviving Y/N.
After a tense minute, Y/N coughed violently, expelling water as she gasped for air. She turned to her side, her eyes meeting Beomgyu's, and clung to him, her body trembling from the ordeal.
Beomgyu wrapped his arms around her, offering warmth and protection. "It's okay, i got you. You're safe now," he whispered, his voice a mixture of relief and concern.
The crowd around them remained stunned, witnessing the dramatic turn of events. Beomgyu's quick actions had saved Y/N, and in that moment, the depth of his concern for her became evident to everyone.
Y/N clung tightly to Beomgyu, her body shaking with sobs as she sought comfort in his embrace. Beomgyu, feeling a mix of protectiveness and anger, held her close, his eyes scanning the area for any further threats.
Hwan, his demeanor rapidly shifting from concern to frustration, announced he was leaving.
He pushed past Yeonjun and the others, his voice firm as he addressed Y/N. "We're going home, now," he demanded.
Y/N, still nestled in Beomgyu's arms, looked up at Hwan with a mix of fear and defiance. She shook her head vehemently, her voice barely a whisper as she said, "I'm not going anywhere with you."
Hwan's expression soured. His attempt at an apology came off as nothing more than a bitter retort. "I didn't know you couldn't actually swim," he muttered.
"Oh really? Her crying and begging wasn't enough," solving but bit ignored by Hwan.
As he reached out to grab Y/N, Beomgyu's protective instincts kicked in. He pulled her closer, his voice low and threatening, "Don't fucking touch her."
The intensity in Beomgyu's eyes sent a clear message to Hwan – he was aware of the truth, and he was firmly on Y/N's side.
Hwan, realizing the situation was turning against him, straightened up and began to leave, but not before rudely nudging Hueningkai and Yeonjun with his shoulder.
Chaeryeong and Chae-yeon's parents hurried out, followed by Chaeryeong and Yuna. Their father eyed Hwan with a stern look as Chae-yeon led him toward the front door.
Soobin and Jeongin returned, each holding a towel. Soobin handed one to Beomgyu. "Here, you both need to get dry," he said, his voice laced with concern.
Jeongin offered the other towel to Y/N. "Are you okay?" he asked, his eyes reflecting the worry that everyone felt.
Y/N, still trembling, managed to nod. "I... I think so," she replied, her voice barely audible over her sobs.
Beomgyu, his gaze softening as he looked at Y/N, reassured her, "It's going to be okay. You're safe now."
Taehyun approached them, admiration in his eyes. "Beomgyu, that was incredible. You didn't hesitate for a second."
Beomgyu brushed off the praise. "I just did what needed to be done... beat Yeonjun to it though."
Yeonjun let out a playful huff and crossed his arms. "Yeah well, I let you have your time to shine for a change."
As the group rallied around Y/N, offering comfort and support, Lia arrived with dry clothes for Y/N. "Let's get you changed," she said gently, helping Y/N to stand up.
The atmosphere at the party had shifted dramatically from celebration to concern. In the midst of it all, the friends showed their unity and care for one another, especially for Y/N.
In a quiet room away from the party, Lia, Yuna, Chaeryeong, and her parents provided a safe haven for Y/N. Tears streamed down Y/N's face as she apologized repeatedly for ruining Chaeryeong's birthday.
"Don't worry about the party, Y/N. I'm just glad you're safe. That's all that matters." Chaeryeong quickly reassured her.
Once the initial shock subsided, Y/N began to open up about Hwan's abusive behavior, both mental and physical. "I've been so distant because... because of him," she admitted, her voice breaking. "I didn't know how to tell anyone. I was scared."
Chaeryeong and the others listened in stunned silence, their hearts heavy with empathy for Y/N's plight. Chaeryeong's parents discreetly excused themselves, allowing the girls to have a moment of privacy.
After the revelation, Lia and Yuna helped Y/N dry off and change into fresh clothes. Chaeryeong's parents, deeply concerned, decided to call Y/N's mother and inform her about everything that had transpired.
Meanwhile, downstairs, Beomgyu faced a barrage of questions from the boys.
"So you knew about Hwan?" Felix asked, his tone a mix of surprise and concern.
Beomgyu nodded, his expression solemn. "Yes, I knew. After I saw the bruises... I couldn't just stand by and do nothing."
"Why didn't you tell us?" Taehyun inquired, trying to understand Beomgyu's silence.
"It wasn't my place to tell," Beomgyu replied. "Y/N needed to come forward in her own time. I just wanted to make sure she was safe until then."
Jeongin added, "I had a feeling something was up after the call I had with Beomgyu. The pieces just didn't fit."
Yeonjun looked thoughtful. "It's hard to believe all this was happening right under our noses."
Hueningkai chimed in, "We need to be there for Y/N. Now more than ever."
Beomgyu's thoughts were elsewhere, though. As they talked about Y/N, he realized his feelings for her ran deeper than he'd admitted to himself. His heart fluttered at the thought of being there for her, not just as a rival or a friend, but perhaps something more in the future.
After changing, Y/N, Lia, Yuna, and Chaeryeong rejoined the party downstairs. Y/N, though still shaken, felt a sense of relief having shared her burden. She approached Beomgyu, her actions speaking louder than words as she gently gripped his shirt, seeking his comforting presence.
Chaeryeong's mother gathered everyone for a speech. "Tonight's events have been a reminder of the importance of friendship and support," she began. "We're grateful that Y/N is safe, thanks to the quick actions of her friends, especially Beomgyu. Let this be a lesson to us all to never hesitate to reach out for help."
The mood lightened as they moved to celebrate Chaeryeong's birthday properly. The cake was brought out, candles were lit, and everyone sang 'Happy Birthday.' The focus shifted to opening gifts, but the sense of community and mutual support lingered in the air.
As the party wound down following the cake and gift opening, Y/N remained close to Beomgyu, finding solace in his reassuring presence. The atmosphere had gradually shifted back to one of celebration, though the events of the evening lingered in the back of everyone's minds.
Guests began to say their goodbyes, thanking Chaeryeong for a memorable evening, carefully avoiding any mention of the earlier incident at the pool. As they departed, many of them approached Y/N with hugs and words of encouragement.
"You take care of yourself, okay?" Lia said, giving Y/N a tight hug.
Yuna added with a gentle smile, "We're here for you, always remember that."
As the crowd thinned out, Beomgyu found a quiet moment to talk to Y/N. "Are you going to be okay?" he asked, his voice laced with genuine concern.
Y/N nodded, a faint smile on her lips. "Yeah, I'll be fine. I'm staying here tonight, and my mom is picking me up in the morning."
Beomgyu, relieved yet still concerned, impulsively pressed his lips against her forehead in a tender gesture, surprising both himself and Y/N. He quickly stepped back, his face flushing with embarrassment.
Y/N's heart fluttered at the unexpected contact, her cheeks warming as she touched the spot where Beomgyu's lips had been.
As Beomgyu left the house, he was still processing his impulsive action, his face a bright shade of red. Outside, Yeonjun, Jeongin, and the others were waiting for him. They immediately noticed his flushed face.
"Whoa, Beomgyu, what's with the red face?" Jeongin teased, elbowing him playfully.
Yeonjun raised an eyebrow, a knowing look in his eyes. "Did something happen in there?"
Beomgyu, still embarrassed, tried to brush it off. "No, nothing... I just... said goodbye to Y/N."
"So, just a goodbye, huh?" Hueningkai chimed in, grinning.
Beomgyu cleared his throat, trying to regain his composure. "Yeah, just a goodbye. Let's go home."
As Beomgyu and his friends walked away from Chaeryeong's house, the playful banter continued, with his friends teasing him about his obvious affection for Y/N.
"So, Beomgyu, since when did you become so tender-hearted?" Taehyun asked with a smirk.
Beomgyu rolled his eyes, trying to deflect. "It's not like that. I was just making sure she was okay."
"Sure, sure," Jeongin chimed in, winking. "Just being a good friend, right?"
Yeonjun laughed, patting Beomgyu on the back. "It's okay, man. We all saw how you jumped in to save her. It's pretty heroic, and, well, kind of romantic too."
Hueningkai nodded in agreement. "Exactly! You looked like a knight in shining armor."
Beomgyu, feeling slightly overwhelmed by their teasing, let out a sigh. "Can we just drop it? I did what anyone would do in that situation."
Back at Chaeryeong's house, Y/N stood in the doorway for a moment longer, her heart still racing from Beomgyu's gentle kiss on her forehead. The gesture had been simple yet profound, leaving her with a feeling of warmth and care that she hadn't experienced in a long time.
Chaeryeong, seizing the opportunity for a sleepover, excitedly dragged Y/N to her room. "You're staying over, right? We can have a proper girls' night," she suggested enthusiastically.
As they settled into Chaeryeong's room, sharing her bed, Chaeryeong noticed the lingering smile on Y/N's face. "So... Mr. Grumpy has a soft side, huh?" she teased gently.
Y/N blushed, nodding. "Yeah, I... I didn't expect that from him. But it was... nice."
Chaeryeong giggled. "I think it's sweet. He really cares about you, you know."
Y/N lay back, staring at the ceiling, her mind replaying the night's events. The fear, the support from her friends, and the unexpected tenderness from Beomgyu all swirled in her thoughts.
"Yeah," Y/N whispered, a smile playing on her lips. "Maybe he does."
The morning after the party, Y/N sat at the breakfast table with Chaeryeong and her family, still processing the events of the previous night. The atmosphere was light but tinged with the remnants of concern. When Y/N's mother arrived to pick her up, there was a palpable sense of relief.
Chaeryeong, Chae-Yeon, and their parents greeted Y/N's mother warmly, inviting her inside for a more detailed conversation about everything that had happened.
As soon as Y/N saw her mother, she rushed into her arms, the emotions of the past few days finally catching up to her. Her mother, visibly upset and worried, held her tightly. "I'm here now, it's going to be okay," she whispered, her own voice shaking.
Inside, Y/N's mother listened intently as Chaeryeong's parents recounted the events of the party and Y/N's troubling situation with Hwan. She nodded gravely, her expression a mix of concern and anger. "Thank you for taking care of her," she said, her voice laced with gratitude and worry.
Later that day, back at her own home, Y/N found solace in the quiet and familiarity of her surroundings. The calm, however, was interrupted when Hwan's mother paid a visit.
Upon entering, Hwan's mother was immediately apologetic, her face etched with guilt and regret. "I can't express how sorry I am," she began, her voice trembling. "I had no idea my son... I never imagined he could do such things."
Y/N's mother listened, her expression stern yet empathetic. "I appreciate you coming here, but I'm sure you understand my primary concern is for Y/N's well-being."
Hwan's mother nodded, her eyes welling up with tears. "Of course, I completely understand. I just wanted to apologize personally and let you know that I'll do whatever I can to help."
Y/N, who had been quietly listening from the doorway, felt a mix of emotions. She was relieved that Hwan wasn't with his mother, grateful for her understanding, but also deeply saddened by the turn her relationship had taken.
The visit ended with a promise from Hwan's mother to address the situation with her son and ensure that Y/N would no longer be troubled by him. Y/N's mother thanked her and gently ushered her out, her protective instincts fully engaged.
As the door closed, Y/N leaned against it, feeling a weight lift from her shoulders. She knew the road to healing would be long, but with her mother's support and her friends standing by her, she felt a glimmer of hope for a future free from fear and pain.
.
Monday morning at school marked a new beginning for Y/N. As she walked through the gates, a wave of relief washed over her, seeing her friends gathered, ready to support her. Yeonjun, Hueningkai, Yuna, Lia, and Chaeryeong were all there, their faces showing a mix of concern and happiness to see her.
“Hey, Y/N! It’s so good to see you,” Yeonjun greeted her with a warm smile.
Hueningkai nodded in agreement. “Yeah, we've missed you around here.”
Y/N felt a rush of gratitude. “Thanks, guys. It means a lot to me,” she said, her voice trembling slightly.
The group made a conscious effort not to dwell on the recent events. Instead, they focused on being there for Y/N, offering her the comfort and normalcy she needed.
Meanwhile, Hwan’s attempt to manipulate those around him by playing the good guy had fallen flat. Y/N’s friends and family saw through his facade and stood firmly by her side.
As they made their way through the school, the usual cacophony of Y/N and Beomgyu’s arguments was notably absent. The halls were quieter, but the silence was a welcome change.
Beomgyu, who had been keeping his distance, watched over Y/N discreetly, ensuring she was okay without intruding. His usual brash demeanor had softened, replaced by a quiet, protective presence.
Teachers, too, noticed the change. “It’s nice not to break up their fights for once,” one remarked to another.
Then, one day, as the Christmas break approached, Beomgyu decided to bridge the gap he had created. He walked over to Y/N’s locker with a gift bag in hand. Tapping her on the shoulder, he waited for her to turn around.
Y/N looked up, her face lighting up at the sight of him. “Beomgyu? What’s this?” she asked, curiosity piqued.
Beomgyu shifted on his feet, a hint of nervousness in his voice. “I... uh, got you something. For Christmas.”
Y/N’s heart skipped a beat, not just from the gift, but from Beomgyu’s unexpected gesture of kindness. “You didn’t have to do that,” she said, a blush creeping up her cheeks.
Beomgyu shrugged, trying to maintain his composure. “I wanted to. Just... don’t make a big deal out of it,” he said, handing her the bag.
Y/N took the gift, her fingers brushing against his. “Thank you, Beomgyu,” she whispered, her eyes meeting his.
Beomgyu nodded, his heart racing. “Yeah, no problem,” he mumbled before walking away, leaving Y/N standing there with the gift.
As Beomgyu walked away, he couldn’t help but feel a mix of relief and longing. He glanced back once, seeing Y/N opening the gift.
Inside the bag, Y/N found the Metallica album, still in its plastic wrapping, along with a few pieces of band merchandise. Her fingers traced the album cover, a smile spreading across her face.
“This means a lot, Beomgyu,” she whispered to herself, feeling a warmth in her heart.
During the Christmas holiday, Y/N and her friends found warmth and camaraderie in each other's homes, gathering for video games and junk food, sheltered from the winter chill outside. However, Beomgyu’s absence at these hangouts was palpable, leaving a void in their usual dynamic.
Yeonjun, seeing Y/N’s concern, reassured her. “Don’t worry about Beomgyu. I’ve seen him a few times. He's just sorting through some things.”
As they were deep in their gaming session at Y/N's place, the doorbell's chime interrupted their laughter. Y/N paused the game and walked to the door, her friends' curious eyes following her.
Opening the door, Y/N was surprised to see Hwan standing there, his arms laden with flowers and chocolates. “Y/N, please, I need to talk to you. I’m sorry about everything,” Hwan implored, his voice laden with remorse.
Y/N, taken aback, was at a loss for words. She didn’t trust his sudden change of heart.
Just then, Y/N’s mother appeared, her expression a fusion of anger and protectiveness. Lia, sensing the situation, hurried to Y/N’s side and gently pulled her back.
“Hwan, you need to leave. Now,” Y/N’s mother stated firmly, her protective instincts in full force.
“But I just want to apologize to Y/N,” Hwan tried to explain, his voice tinged with desperation.
“There’s nothing you can say to fix what you’ve done. If you don’t leave, I will call the police,” Y/N’s mother threatened, her tone leaving no room for negotiation.
Hwan, realizing he had no choice, reluctantly stepped back and left, his head hung low.
Closing the door, Y/N turned to find her friends gathered around her, faces filled with concern.
“Are you okay, Y/N?” Lia asked, her voice soft yet worried.
Y/N nodded, trying to mask her unease. “Yeah, I’m fine. Just didn’t expect him to turn up like that.”
Yeonjun put a comforting hand on her shoulder. “Don’t worry, Y/N. We’re all here for you, no matter what.”
The group tried to return to their earlier jovial mood, but the shadow of Hwan’s unexpected visit lingered. As the evening wore on, Y/N’s thoughts drifted to Beomgyu. She wondered how he would have reacted had he been there and found herself missing his presence more than she had anticipated.
Y/N's mother, noticing her daughter's distant look, sat beside her. “You know, it’s okay to feel upset about this. But remember, you’re not alone in this. We’re all with you.”
As the days leading up to Christmas dwindled, Y/N received an unexpected message from Beomgyu asking to meet up. After his noticeable absence during most of the Christmas break, this invitation was both exciting and nerve-wracking for her.
Arriving at the café Beomgyu had specified, Y/N was surprised to find it was just him waiting for her. She had expected a group hangout, but the prospect of spending time alone with Beomgyu stirred a mix of anticipation and anxiety within her.
Beomgyu, who spotted Y/N as she walked in, greeted her with a warm, genuine smile – a far cry from the sarcastic smirks she had grown accustomed to during their arguments at school. “Hey, Y/N, over here,” he called out, waving her over.
Y/N approached, her heart beating a little faster. “Hey, Beomgyu. I wasn’t expecting it to be just us,” she said, a hint of surprise in her voice.
“Yeah, I thought it’d be nice to catch up, just the two of us,” Beomgyu replied, his voice calm yet sincere.
They ordered their coffees and found a quiet corner table. The initial silence between them was filled with unspoken words and shared memories. Finally, Beomgyu broke the ice.
“So, I’ve been thinking a lot about how things have been between us,” he started, his eyes meeting hers. “From that first day we bumped into each other, it’s been… quite a journey, hasn’t it?”
Y/N nodded, a small smile playing on her lips. “Yeah, I never would have imagined we’d end up here, having coffee together, after all that arguing.”
Beomgyu chuckled softly. “I know, right? I guess we’ve both changed a lot since then. I’ve been doing some thinking… about how I acted, and I wanted to apologize for being so difficult at times.”
Y/N was taken aback by his candidness. “I… wasn’t expecting an apology. I mean, I wasn’t exactly easy to get along with either.”
Beomgyu shook his head, a slight smile on his face. “Maybe, but I think I owe you one. I realized I might have been a bit too harsh at times.”
As Y/N and Beomgyu sat in the café, illuminated by the soft Christmas lights, their conversation continued to unfold with an ease that surprised them both.
“Remember that time we got paired for that science project?” Y/N chuckled, recalling one of their less antagonistic school moments. “We were both so convinced our method was better.”
Beomgyu laughed. “Yeah, and in the end, we had to combine our ideas. Turned out pretty well, though.”
The reminiscing led to discussions about their future aspirations. “I’m actually thinking of majoring in graphic design,” Y/N shared, her eyes lighting up.
“That’s cool,” Beomgyu nodded. “I’ve always known you were creative. As for me, I’m leaning towards music production. It’s been a passion for a while.”
The conversation then shifted to the topic of the Metallica album he had given her. Y/N, curious, asked him about it. “So, why did you decide to give me the album? You won it fair and square that day at the record store.”
Beomgyu hesitated for a moment, then admitted, “Well, I realized I never really wanted the album. I just... I guess I wanted to win that day. But after everything, I thought you’d appreciate it more. It was your favorite band, after all.”
Y/N smiled warmly. “It meant a lot to me. Thank you, Beomgyu. It was a really thoughtful gift.”
As they continued to talk, the initial awkwardness they had felt was completely gone, replaced by a newfound appreciation for each other. They found humor in their past misunderstandings and recognized the growth they both had undergone.
Eventually, the conversation waned, and it was time to part ways. As they stood up to leave, Y/N felt a sense of reluctance. “This was nice, Beomgyu. We should hang out like this more often,” she suggested, hoping he felt the same.
Beomgyu nodded in agreement. “Yeah, I’d like that. It’s been... surprisingly nice.”
They walked out of the café together, the crisp winter air greeting them. As they said their goodbyes, there was a moment of comfortable silence.
“See you after the holidays, Y/N,” Beomgyu said, a genuine smile on his face.
“See you, Beomgyu. Have a great Christmas,” Y/N replied, feeling a sense of warmth and contentment.
Y/N's walk home was filled with reflections on the evening she'd spent with Beomgyu. It was a refreshing change from their usual interactions, one that left her feeling hopeful and content.
After the Christmas break, school resumed with its usual buzz and energy. The corridors were alive with students sharing their holiday experiences.
One morning, Lia, Yuna, Yeji, Chaeryeong, and Y/N gathered with the boys, excitedly discussing their Christmas gifts and New Year’s celebrations.
“I got this amazing art set from my parents,” Lia shared enthusiastically. “Spent almost all of New Year’s Eve drawing.”
Yuna chimed in with a laugh, “And I attempted to bake a cake for Christmas. Let’s just say it didn’t turn out as planned.”
Their laughter and chatter filled the air until they noticed Beomgyu approaching. He seemed different – his usual wolf cut was now a bit shorter, and his hair was a uniform light brown, framing his face in a way that accentuated his features.
“Whoa, Beomgyu, looking sharp!” Yeonjun exclaimed as he approached, a wide grin on his face. “New year, new look, huh?”
Beomgyu shrugged, a slight smile on his face. “Yeah, thought it was time for a change.”
Y/N couldn’t help but admire the change. “It looks really good on you, Beomgyu.”
Beomgyu met her eyes, his smile widening a bit. “Thanks, Y/N.”
The group continued their walk to class, now with Beomgyu in tow. The conversation shifted to plans for the upcoming year, with everyone sharing their goals and aspirations.
As they walked and talked, Y/N noticed a new dynamic in the group. Beomgyu seemed more engaged, often adding his thoughts and even joking around, which was a pleasant change from his usual aloof demeanor.
The bell rang, signaling the start of class, and they all headed to their respective rooms. Y/N felt a sense of warmth in her heart. The new term was off to a good start, and she couldn’t help but feel optimistic about what lay ahead.
Throughout the day, Y/N found herself thinking about Beomgyu and the changes he had undergone. It wasn’t just his appearance; his attitude seemed different too, more open and approachable.
Later, as they gathered for lunch, the group found themselves discussing a class project due in the coming weeks. Beomgyu, surprisingly, suggested they work on it together after school.
“Sounds like a plan,” Y/N agreed, looking forward to spending more time with the group, and secretly, with Beomgyu.
As the day drew to a close at school, Y/N felt an undeniable sense of excitement and a sense of belonging within her group of friends. Beomgyu's changes, both in his appearance and demeanor, had infused a new energy into their dynamics, and she found herself increasingly curious about the new version of him.
Weeks after their newfound friendship, Beomgyu stood nervously at his locker, clutching a small bunch of flowers and a box of chocolates. Today was the day he had decided to reveal his true feelings to Y/N. The thought alone set his heart racing.
Yeonjun, standing beside Jeongin and Soobin, couldn't help but tease him, “If you guys spent two years arguing, it's pretty obvious you're into each other.”
Beomgyu shot him a glare but couldn't hide the anxious anticipation in his eyes.
“Go on, Beomgyu. It’s now or never,” Soobin encouraged him with a supportive pat on the back.
With a deep breath, Beomgyu steeled his nerves and approached Y/N, who was standing a few steps away, engaged in conversation with Yuna and Lia.
“Hey, Y/N,” Beomgyu called out, his voice surprisingly steady despite his racing heart.
Y/N turned, her expression lighting up with surprise and curiosity. “Beomgyu? What’s all this about?” she inquired, noticing the flowers and chocolates.
Gathering his courage, Beomgyu looked into her eyes. “Y/N, there’s something I need to tell you. I like you, a lot more than I ever admitted. I’ve felt this way for a long time.”
Y/N's eyes widened, a mixture of astonishment and delight dancing in them. “Really? Mr. Grumpy, I never saw this coming,” she teased, her smile broadening.
“Yeah, well, Mrs. Clumsy, I guess it was about time I confessed,” Beomgyu replied, his voice tinged with a playful warmth.
The two shared a laugh, their old antagonistic nicknames now taking on a fond, affectionate tone.
Y/N took a step closer, her heart fluttering with excitement. “I like you too, Beomgyu. I’ve been waiting for you to say that.”
In that moment, they both leaned in for a tender, heartfelt kiss. It was a kiss that encapsulated years of hidden feelings, a shared history of arguments and laughter.
Their friends watched from afar, cheering and clapping in support. Yuna and Lia shared a look of excitement, thrilled for their friend.
After the kiss, Beomgyu handed Y/N the flowers and chocolates. “For you, Mrs. Clumsy,” he said with a smile.
Y/N accepted them with a giggle. “Thank you, Mr. Grumpy. They’re beautiful.”
As they walked away together, hand in hand, a new chapter in their lives began. Their journey from rivals to friends had now blossomed into something more – a relationship built on understanding, laughter, and a deep connection.
The school hallways, once filled with their arguments, now echoed with their shared laughter and whispers of future plans. Beomgyu and Y/N, once known for their endless bickering, had found in each other a partner, a confidante, and a love that had grown from their unique bond.
Their story, which began with a collision on the first day of high school, had come full circle in the most unexpected and beautiful way. As they looked ahead, they knew whatever the future held, they would face it together, as a team, ready to navigate the joys and challenges of life side by side.

MY GIRLFRIEND (2)
(1)
Pairing: Choi Beomgyu x reader
Genre: Fluff, crack
Warning: Established relationship, cursing , idol! au, Hueningkai is referred to as only kai because I didn't know his spelling (lol), a brief mention of Yeonjun's gf
"Me and (y/n)'s going on a date this Saturday," Beomgyu announced, entering the room with eyes on his phone where he was probably texting his girlfriend.
"This Saturday? I thought we were all going out together to get ramen at the old shop again," Soobin chimed, looking up from his phone.
"Yeah," Yeonjun added, " we haven't been there in a while. You remember how we used to go there when we were trainees?"
"With sweat and bruises on my knees, yes, I do remember." Taehyun added, earning a few chuckles from the boy beside him.
"The owner invited us. Who knows, we might get a free meal," Kai resorted.
"We're not saying you should cancel the date but -," Yeonjun said and grinned," unless you wanna miss the heavenly ramen."
"No, it's okay," Beomgyu said, flopping beside Soobin," (y/n) would be mad if I cancelled with you guys. "
"Wouldn't she be more mad that you cancelled on the date?" Taehyun questioned, raising a brow. Beomgyu shook his head, picking up his phone to send you a text.
"No, actually, " he said, eyes on the phone and fingers typing, " She actually got more mad when I cancel on you guys. Says I should bond with my "boys" often. " He chuckled, mind wandering back to the moment.
"She's so sweet. Such an angel." Kai added, resting his head on Beomgyu's shoulder to peer at his phone.
"So you mean she doesn't get angry often?" Yeonjun asked, looking pretty surprised at the statement.
"No, she's really patient," Beomgyu smiled," she usually tolerates everything."
"Unlike you." Soobin snickered followed by the others.
"So, like, you guys don't argue? " Yeonjun questioned, now looking really shocked as if Beomgyu had suddenly asked for both of his kidneys, " Me and my girl argue over the smallest of things. She hasn't talked to me in 3 days and maybe I should apologize."
Beomgyu turned off his phone and looked at Yeonjun, " Me and my girl don't argue. She tells me to shut the fuck up and I do," he added, pointing his phone towards him.
"You never shut up when we tell you to," Soobin countered, "That's cause she's my girlfriend. She gets privileges, " He replied, getting up to walk out the door.
"Your corny. Get out of my sight. " Taehyun mocked, pushing Beomgyu out by the shoulder.
"I don't wanna be with singles like you people either. I'm gonna go face time with (y/n)!! " He exclaimed, shoving Taehyun off his shoulder.
"Tell (y/n) noona I said hi," Kai adds, peeking over Taehyun's shoulder.
"Get out already," Soobin shouted earning a glare from Beomgyu.
"Fine! I am going to my room," He shouted angrily, loud enough to wake up a person sleeping if there were any," don't you dare come in at midnight to snatch your charger or snacks or socks or I'm gonna lock you in the closet till morning, get it?!" His voice was still clear even though he was out of the room and was walking in the hallway.
"Goodnight, hyung!," Kai shouted from the door.
And from the other side of the room they could hear Beomgyu yell," I'm only wishing a goodnight to (y/n), rest of you can have nightmares!!"
And with that, a door slammed shut and laughter erupted in the room.
"Gosh, he's down so bad," Soobin laughed, slapping his hand on Yeonjun 's shoulder.
"He wouldn't survive a day without (y/n). " Taehyun said, shaking his head.
"We wouldn't survive a day without (y/n). Apparently, she's the only one who can keep his ego in check and make him shut up without having to stuff tissue papers into his mouth," Yeonjun concluded, the other nod.
"But, they look so happy," Huening smiled.
"Yeah, sure they do. Maybe I should also start shutting up when my girl tells me to," Yeonjun said, earning a laugh from everyone. Then they heard another laughter joining them from the other room.
"Only (y/n) can make Beomgyu laugh like that. "

🏹 not your boyfriend, not your girlfriend: soobin x fem!reader | college au!, friends to lovers | warnings: some smut ♡
you ain’t my boyfriend and I ain’t your girlfriend but you don’t want me to see nobody else and I don’t want you to see nobody…
[4.0k words] ☆ [pls do not repost]
Tumblr media
He’s not your boyfriend. You’re not his girlfriend. But the thought of someone else touching you angers him. The thought of another female even looking at him throws you into a spiral.
Yet there’s nothing either of you can do about it. You two aren’t together after all.
You lean against the wall twirling the red solo cup in your hand, glancing around the room at the sea of drunk college kids. Watching as they play party games and sing so off-key to the music blasting out of the speakers.
You take a sip from your drink, debating whether or not to leave right after this cup was empty. Parties weren’t really your thing after all. You only come with your best friend, who ended up ditching you the moment you walked in the door.
You finished the drink, turning to leave when someone bumps into you.
“There you were babe!” he wraps his arm around your shoulders, planting a kiss on your forehead, “been looking everywhere for you.”
You sign, knowing now that you’re trapped.
“Come on, babe don’t look so disappointed to see me.”
“I was fixing to leave, Soobin.” you scoffed, finally breaking free from his arms.
His dimple smile melts your heart, sending tingles down your spine, “I noticed you seemed like you wanted to leave,” he said looking down at your empty cup, “but the guy standing by the window was giving you a look and decided to step in to protect you.”
You raised your brow at him, “Protect me? Soobin?”
He nodded, “Of course. Mans looks like a whole dick and a half.”
You chuckle, dropping your head into your palm, “Probably because he HAS a dick, Choi Soobin.”
Soobin tucks his bottom lip between his teeth. He wants to shout at you his feelings so you could finally understand why he’s so protective over you.
Soobin grabs your empty cup and sets it against the counter then places his hands on your shoulders, softly pressing you against the wall.
You look up at him, seeing the want in his eyes. Your whole body heats up.
“Just spend some extra time with me, ya? Before you decide to head out?” He whispered.
How quickly you nodded your head in agreement should scare you, you didn’t want him to know how badly you wanted him. He’s not your boyfriend, after all.
Soobin smirks, sliding his hands down to your hands. Pulling you away from the wall and leading you up the stairs in this dance you’ve both done many times before.
It started out like this.
Two lonely people at a party were ditched by their friends and had nothing else better to do than each other.
You knew who he was. He sat two rows behind you in class. He was quiet, and only spoke to his friends he had in class. Was five minutes early every day and for the most part kept to himself unless spoken to by the professor or another classmate.
It surprised you when he first walked into the party. Barely even recognized him. He went from this innocent boy who hid his face with his hair, wearing sweatpants and a hoodie to class, into this sexy man in tight light blue skinny jeans with holes in them, Nike air forces, and a long sleeve black shirt with his hair parted.
If you didn’t know him from before, you would assume he was one of the popular party boys all the girls drool over.
And damn, he was catching looks from the girls at the party.
Your best friend looped her arm with yours, “Earth to Y/N!! Did you hear me?”
You snapped your eyes away from Choi Soobin, giving your best friend your full attention, “I’m sorry I was daydreaming, what did you say?”
She side-eyes the area you were just staring at, “were you looking at Soobin?”
You blink at her, “You know him? And calling him by his first name?”
She smiles brightly, “Yep! we have chem lab together and I’m SOOOO into one of his friends.”
You nodded at her, “I should’ve known,” You looked back over in Soobin’s direction, noticing his dog pack behind him, “which one are you here for?” you asked her.
She giggles and squeezes your arm tighter, “Taehyun! We met at the campus coffee shop and totally hit it off right away!”
You nodded again, “I’m sure you did.”
“We did! And he told me about this party tonight.”
“Is that why you canceled our stay indoors and watch horror movies best friend date and dragged me to this party instead? To hook up with Kang Taehyun?” you raised a brow at her.
“When you put it that way you make me seem like a bad guy,” she pouted at you, “plus he told me his friends would be coming with him, sooooo I figured you could ya know.” she nudged your arm.
You scoff at her, “Nope! absolutely not. I’m going home!”
“Y/N! Please, you need to get out there!”
Before you could protest, Soobin and his four friends were right beside you guys.
“Wow you made it Hanna,” Taehyun says basically stealing my best friend from me, “who’s this?” he asked giving me a small smile.
“I’m Y/N, nice to meet you.”
Taehyung nodded, “Nice to put a face to the name. Hanna talks about you all the time.”
You glance over at her. She gives you her normal apologetic smile.
“Anyways how rude, these are my best friends, Choi Yeonjun, Huening kai, Choi Beomgyu and that’s—“
“Choi Soobin.” you said, giving all five of them a small smile.
The boys all looked at Soobin, waiting for an explanation.
“W-we have a class together.” Soobin says, shoving his hands into his pockets.
After that awkward conversation, you slowly walked away to grab yourself a drink, because god knows you need it now.
“Grab me a drink too please!” Hanna calls after you.
When you returned to the same spot the six of them were, only Soobin remained.
You shook your head, “where did they go?”
He shrugged his shoulders, “Your guess is as good as mine.” He folded his arms against his chest and leaned against the wall.
You stood beside him, “well you can have this I guess.” you said, handing him the cup.
“I didn’t picture you as a partygoer, Y/N.” Soobin softly smiles while taking a sip of the drink.
“You neither, you completely look different than you do in class.”
He chuckles, “Yeah I don’t really try for college. No need to impress anyone. Go in, get your education, get out, and go back home.”
“Then why are you here tonight?” you asked.
He glances at you, “Everyone else was coming, and Yeonjun Hyung basically pulled me by my ear out of the dorm.”
You nodded with a sigh, “Hanna basically did the same to me.”
“Guess we’re in this together then.” Soobin held out his cup towards you in a way of cheers.
You mimicked the action, then you both chugged down the drinks.
You don’t remember much of the conversations after that. Just that you both continued to drink and drink.
“Okay okay, truth time.” Soobin drunkenly giggles.
“What is this? Truth or dare? Are we five?” you giggle back at him.
“Never too old for it,” he defends, “anyways truth.”
“Okay, I’m listening.” You smile, taking another sip of your drink.
Soobin tucks his lip between his teeth, glancing across the room, “Have you met Yeonjun hyung before?”
Your smile drops, “Choi Yeonjun? I mean we have a couple of other classes together and I pass him in the halls sometimes,” you look in the same direction as Soobin, noticing Yeonjun is looking back, “why? Is something wrong?”
Soobin sighs and looks back at you, “I am very observant and noticed the moment we walked in and he looked at you that…well.”
You look into Soobin’s eyes, “are you implying he’s interested in me?”
Soobin shrugged, “he could be. Either that or like I asked if the two of you knew each other beforehand. But he’s been looking at you the entire night.”
You laughed, “Soobin, you’re acting jealous right now.”
He rolls his eyes, “I barely know you, how could I be jealous?” he shakes his head chuckling, “I just know hyung, and wanted to just give ya a heads up is all.”
You tilted your head, “That’s really sweet, but you’re not my boyfriend so you don’t need to look after me like that.”
Soobin rolled his eyes again, “noted.”
“How about you then? Hmm?”
He takes a sip, “What about me?”
“With how you walked in here you must have girls begging for your attention. Do you dress like this outside of school too?”
He nodded, “I do. That doesn’t mean girls are making passes at me.”
You glanced around the room and noticed at least two girls blushing over him.
“There are two girls right over there who would love your attention right now.”
Soobin looks in the direction you pointed at, then shook his head, then looked back at you, “Not interested.”
“What? Are you nervous or something?” you teased him.
He gives you a confused look, “what would I have to be nervous about?”
“I dunno, maybe you’ve never hooked up with a girl at a party before.” you continued to tease him.
Soobin raised his brow at you, “You’re making these assumptions as if you know me personally.”
“Well truth time then, have you ever hooked up with someone before?”
Soobin’s face turned a shade of pink, looking away from you he answered, “I have.”
You slapped your hands on your cheeks, “Omg really!? the shy Choi Soobin from class actually pulled girls!?”
He glances at you, “Of course I have. you act like sex is such an uncommon thing for shy people like me.” He finished his cup and tossed it onto the counter, then made direct eye contact with you, “do you not believe me?”
You shook your head, “Nope.”
Soobin smirked, chewing on his bottom lips.
You could see the gears in his head turning, “what are you thinking about?”
“I could prove it to you.”
You weren’t expecting his response. Your whole body started to tingle, “prove it to me?” you nervously giggled, looking away from him.
You weren’t expecting the next turn of events to happen either, Soobin had you against the wall, one hand above your head, the other was on your hip, and his body was pressed against yours.
“I didn’t stutter.” he whispered, connecting his forehead against yours.
You stared up at him, “where did this confidence come from?” you whispered back.
“Always been here, I just don’t show it.”
You could feel the heat radiating from his body. Your knees started to feel weak and your hands trembled at your sides.
Soobin pressed himself even closer to you, his arm completely wrapping around behind your back, “I’ve honestly been wanting to hook up with you since the moment I met you in class.”
You bit your lip, his confession turned you on more than you wanted to attempt to yourself. It was so hot seeing this once-shy boy you normally see in class act this sexy. Was it the alcohol? or is he really this confident? Either way, it was killing you.
“Are you going to kiss me or continue to just look at me?” you asked, testing your own confidence.
His lips connected with yours, the taste of cherry and alcohol filled your senses from his chapstick and the drink he just finished. You had a better smell of his cologne and oh man it was sending you into a frenzy.
You were melting against his touch with the way his hands were on your body. His tongue sent chills down your spine every time it brushed against your own.
You didn’t care that you two were making out in the middle of the kitchen at some random party with many people around.
All you cared about was him.
He led you up the stairs and into an empty room, quickly closing and locking the door behind him.
His hands and lips were back on you in an instant as if those short couple minutes were too long.
He pulled his shirt over his head, his body leaving you even more breathless.
You tossed your tank top over your head and somewhere in the room.
His body was back against yours, the skin-to-skin contact made your head spin.
Soobin played with the button of your jeans, silently asking for permission.
You let him, your hands going to the button of his jeans immediately after.
It’s been so long since you’ve been naked in front of someone and you figured the first time having sex again would make you nervous and hide like a child, but it was different with Soobin. He brought out this confidence in you that you never knew you had. The rest of your clothes came off quickly, and the same did his.
You could have sworn Soobin’s body was crafted by the gods. He’s so beautiful.
His hands cupped your breasts, his thumbs slowly gliding over your nipples. You moaned against his mouth.
He sat down on the edge of the bed, pulling you to straddle him.
Soobin looked you up and down, “You’re so beautiful, every inch of you.” his hands squeezed your hips.
Your fingers played in his hair, “is this something you want?” you asked.
Soobin tucks his lip between his teeth, slowly nodding, positioning his member for you, “I will literally lose it if you don’t slide down onto me right now.” he whispered.
Sex with Soobin was pure bliss. You felt that bliss with every inch of your body as you rode him. His lips and hands never left your body and your hands never left his hair until you both finished.
You two returned to the party like nothing ever happened. The two girls who were drooling over Soobin earlier seemed to only be even more interested in him now that sex was literally written all over his face.
You scoff, “Those two still want you.”
Soobin wrapped his arm around your waist, “Hmm jealous are we?”
You chuckled, “Of course not. You’re not my boyfriend.”
Soobin laughed with you, “And you’re not my girlfriend.”
It’s been almost a year since then.
You and Soobin have had sex multiple times since then, and he still made you lose your breath every single time.
The two of you grew to even become friends in a way. Or even best friends some would say. The two of you started hanging out outside of the classroom and at parties. He got to know you so well and the same with you towards him. He became someone you didn’t want to have a life without.
But the feelings you started to build up for him over that year were growing too strong for you to contain.
Little did you know the feeling was mutual for Soobin.
He hated it when he knew you were going to parties or anywhere alone. He hated the thought of another man putting his hands on you. The thought of another man kissing you, touching you, making you feel the way only he wants you to feel. And the thought of you dating another man…
Soobin understood how your relationship was: two classmates that had sex and turned into friends who have sex. That’s all it was supposed to be until the night he realized he had feelings and realized he hated any man that looked in your direction.
You also secretly felt that way about any woman who looked at Soobin.
The two of you had this secret unspoken thing that you both didn’t want the other to see anyone else. You both just didn’t know it.
Soobin was running late and was never late. It wasn’t him to be late.
Tonight’s party was being held on campus for the school winning some kinda sports event. Soobin walked into the courtyard, immediately being met by Huening Kai and Beomgyu.
“you’re late!” Kai said looking at his watch.
“Yeah yeah I know,” Soobin sighed, “where are Taehyun and Yeonjun?”
“Taehyun is with Hanna…” Beomgyu shrugged.
“Should have known, and Yeonjun?” Soobin asked.
Kai and Beomgyu went quiet.
Soobin looked between the both of them, confusion showing on his face.
“Where is Yeonjun?” Soobin asked again.
“He’s well…he’s with someone.” Kai said, trying to smile.
“Okay…?” Soobin raised a brow.
“He’s with—“ Beomgyu started, but Kai quickly covered his mouth.
“He’s not with anyone! hahaha.” Kai nervously laughed.
Soobin continued to look between his juniors, still confused about what was even going on between the two of them.
Until it clicked in his head.
Soobin quickly moved past them, “where is he?”
“Soobin Hyung, wait!” They called out for him.
Soobin knew Yeonjun secretly had a thing for you, it was written all over his face from the beginning.
Soobin made his way inside the campus and asked people left and right if they’d seen both of you, none knew until someone pointed him in the direction of the gymnasium where they were handing out food, punch, and alcohol.
He found the both of you standing on the far side of the gym. Yeonjun was standing too close to you for his liking.
Soobin quickly walked up, wrapping his arm around Yeonjun, “There you guys are! I was looking for you!”
“You’re late!” You said checking the time on your phone, “Yeonjun and I almost started drinking without you. Where’s everyone else?”
Soobin shrugged his shoulders, “Huening Kai and Beomgyu were in the courtyard. Apparently Taehyun—“
“Is with Hanna, of course.” you sigh, “I’m happy for them so I’ll let it slide.” You started to walk away, “I’m going to the courtyard and I’ll call Hanna to meet us there.”
Soobin nodded, “grab me a drink on the way out okay?” he asked you.
You gave him a thumbs up, walking away. You could tell something was bothering Soobin but didn’t want to press the conversation in front of Yeonjun.
Once you were out of the gym, Soobin let go of Yeonjun facing him.
“What is that look for?” Yeonjun asked.
“It’s nothing. Ready to meet with the others?” Soobin asked, starting to walk away.
“Hey, is Y/N talking to anyone by chance?” Yeonjun asked.
Soobin stops walking, “Uhh not that I know of…why?”
“Because I’m interested in her. She’s your best friend besides me of course, and I think she’s funny and I want to get to know her a little more than I already do.”
Soobin looked at his hyung, trying everything in him to not shout at him to leave you alone. But he knows he can’t. He’s not your boyfriend.
“Soobin say something,” Yeonjun said, crossing his arms over his chest.
“I uhh…I can ask if she’s talking to someone.”
“That’s now why I meant.” Yeonjun tried to make eye contact with Soobin, wanting him to tell the truth.
“What do you mean then?”
Yeonjun sighs, “What I’m trying to say is, if you’re not going to make a pass at her, I’m going to.”
Soobin’s heart dropped, and his body filled up with heat, it took everything in him to say what he did next, “I’m not her boyfriend, do whatever you want.”
Yeonjun rolled his eyes, “I can’t man!” Soobin looked at his hyung confused, “You’re having sex with her and it’s so obvious that the two of you are pining for each other and just won’t say anything. I’m tired of hearing the “She’s not my girlfriend, I’m not her boyfriend” bullshit. I would feel terrible if I went after Y/N, knowing you damn well want her for yourself.”
Soobin looked away, “We made it clear to each other the first time we hooked up that we weren’t together, it was all about the sex and that’s it.”
“Yeah, and it’s been a year since then man,” Yeonjun walked closer to Soobin, putting his hands on his friends’ shoulders, “I can see it in the way you look at her dude, it’s not just about the sex anymore and with the way you dart across the room when another man looks at her? or how when she notices any other girl looks at you? have you not noticed how jealous she gets? how will she stand closer to you?”
Soobin shook his head, “She doesn’t want me in that way.”
Yeonjun nodded, “I still think you need to tell her, and I’m giving you until tomorrow night to say something, or else I’ll try and make a pass to her.”
Yeonjun patted his back and then finally walked away.
Soobin knew he was right, it’s time to say something.
You stood outside their dorm building, the summer breeze felt warm against your skin.
You checked the time on your phone, Soobin said to meet him here before returning back to the party but he’s once again running late. This isn’t like him.
You finally catch Soobin walking over towards you but with another girl hooked up on his arm.
Jealousy filled you. You looked away, shoving your hands into your jeans pockets, trying to shove down the feeling. “he’s not your boyfriend…Y/N…” You repeated the words in your head over and over again. You don’t have a right to be jealous. You’re not his girlfriend.
“Soobinnie!” oh god you wanted to throw up, “my dorm is across the street there!”
You glanced over at them, this girl was drunk and clearly trying to get Soobin in her bed.
Soobin looked at you, and you quickly looked away.
“Can you make it back there on your own?” He asked.
You rolled your eyes. You knew how good Soobin was in bed, it shouldn’t surprise you he probably has been in other beds besides yours.
“I may need some help…” you wanted to barf.
“Hey,” you shouted, “you clearly aren’t drunk enough to try and get him in your room so you can obviously walk up there alone, okay?”
Soobin’s eyes widen, he’s never seen you act like that before.
“Is that your girlfriend or something?” the girl asked, “I knew you were too gorgeous to be single.”
“He’s single all right,” you mumbled to yourself.
Soobin sighed, “I can’t go any further with you, I apologize.”
The girl scoffs but eventually walks away.
“What was with that attitude?” Soobin asked, giving you a sassy look.
“She clearly was trying way too hard.” you softly snap, “it was way too obvious.”
“Are you jealous?” Soobin teased, standing in front of you.
You rolled your eyes, “no reason to be jealous, you’re not my—“
“Boyfriend, I know,” he said. You looked up at him and noticed the hurt in your eyes, “but maybe I should be.”
“Wait, what?” you asked.
Soobin looked away, “I want to be your boyfriend, Y/N. It’s not just about the sex anymore, I want all of you. My heart can’t take it anymore. If I see one more man try to make a pass at you, I’m going to lose it.”
“Soobin…” you softly said his name.
“God, I love the way you say my name…but I already know your response to this, that our relationship is strictly sex. We made that agreement a year ago and—“
“Soobin shut up and kiss me right now.”
He looks deeply into your eyes and all you can see is the spark that lights up his entire being.
His hands are on the sides of your face in an instant and his lips connected to yours.
You’ve kissed him millions of times, but never like this. The last kisses have always been filled with lust, want, desire, temptation, and need. But this one was filled with…well, love.
It was filled with so much love.
“I’m in love with you, Soobin.” you whispered in between kisses, “and if one more damn woman looks at you with the desire that I have for you, I’ll commit murder.”
He giggles against your lips, “You’re so cute when you’re jealous.”
“As your girlfriend, I have a right to be.”
“And as your boyfriend, I’ll allow you to be.”
You smiled against his lips, “I love you.”
“I’ve loved you since the moment you let me lead you up those stairs, my heart has been yours since the beginning.”

12:13 || Beomgyu with a soft spot
Disclaimer: This and each of my stories are only fiction and are not intended to offend or make anyone uncomfortable, if this type of content makes you uncomfortable, feel free to leave without resentment :]
Paring: Beomgyu x gn!reader
a/n: I'm in my Beomgyu era bro, he's just so princess coded and I want to spoil him and do everything to him but bros a little teasing shit but I just thought of THIS one random day, but please, I need more of this stuff.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Okay, but imagine this:
We all know Beomgyu is playful and teasing by nature, we love him like that but I've never seen this applied in any fanfic.
I started to imagine him having a soft spot for his s/o, and with soft spot I mean that he won't tease you or make too many jokes on you, unlike his members, you're his whole world, and he can't help but be so soft and caring with you bc he loves u so much :(((
Imagine you're staying over at Beomgyu's, but he still share the dorms with his members, which is not a problem bc they love you and you love them too.
You can hear the yelling and bickering from out of the dorms, but once you knock the door, they stop and Beomgyu runs to open the door for you, bright smile on his face and his eyes sparkling with adoration.
You greeted him with a soft peck and entered the place, the rest of the guys greeting you as well but the bickering quickly started again
Yj: "Y/N, BEOMGYU ATE MY FOOD!"
Bg: "YOU SHUT THE FUCK UP!"
It's actually amusing.
But of course, you don't like your boyfie causing trouble to his members.
"Beomgyu" you said in a soft but still scolding tone, Beomgyu just whined while holding your hand, rolling his eyes at Yeonju's smirk.
"Fineeeee, I'll buy him another one" he groaned, pulling you towards him by the arm immediately, wrapping his arms around you in a gentle and caring manner, burying his face on the crock of your neck, smiling when your sweet and known (for him) scent.
You chuckled a little at his childish but sweet behavior, he always clung to you as much as he could, and you just loved it. You softly stroke his long hair, he moaned softly at the touch, feeling warm and fuzzy inside.
"You should move in here to control your boyfriend" Soobin said with a chuckle, smiling at the sweet scene.
"Or we can kick him out" Yeonjun said while rolling his eyes.
"HEY" you couldn't help but laugh, Beomgyu pouted at your laughs and rolled his eyes, kissing your cheek and taking your hand again "Let's go to my room, I don't want you near those dickheads" he said while dragging you to his room, locking the door while the rest of the members laughed.
"You know deep down you love them" you said while smiling, sitting on the bed while he went to sit down beside you, wrapping his arms around you and pulling you towards his chest while he laid down on the bed, dragging you with him.
"I love you more" he hummed, grabbing your hands and putting them on his hair, indicating you to stroke his hair, which you did immediately with a soft smile. He always was like this, soft, caring, gentle, warm.
He was always soft with you, every time you are with him you can feel the warmth and sincerity of his feelings, how he's always careful with you, as if you were the most important thing in the world, treating you as delicate as if you were made of glass.
That was Beomgyu with you, you were his weak point.
And he didn't mind at all.

not your boyfriend, not your girlfriend
Tumblr media
Pairing: reader x soobin Genre: college au!, friends to lovers Warnings: some smut <3 Word Count: 4.1k
you ain't my boyfriend and I ain't your girlfriend but you don't want me to see nobody else and I don't want you to see nobody...
“Wow you made it Hanna,” Taehyun says basically stealing my best friend from me, “who's this?” he asked giving me a small smile.
You're not my boyfriend.”
“Because I'm interested in her.
Yeonjun sighs, “What I'm trying to say is, if you’re not going to make a pass at her, I'm going to.”
“Yeah, and it’s been a year since then man,” Yeonjun walked closer to Soobin, putting his hands on his friends' shoulders, “I can see it in the way you look at her dude, it’s not just about the sex anymore and with the way you dart across the room when another man looks at her? or how when she notices any other girl looks at you? have you not noticed how jealous she gets? how will she stand closer to you?”
“He's single all right,” you mumbled to yourself.
If I see one more man try to make a pass at you, I'm going to lose it.”

Choi Beomgyu didn’t believe in love. This was a fact of life that you managed to learn in your years of befriending him. Though it did match your personalities wrongly, as you, were a hopeless romantic.
You weren’t naive by any means, but you believed in all the cheesy warm goodness that was true love. It had to be real, right ?
It also didn’t help that you were dead set on believing you were irrevocably in love with his best friend.
Choi Soobin and you had met only a year ago through your aforementioned friend. From that moment, you were absolutely whipped. You had returned home that day with extra butterflies in your stomach and a pep in your step.
To which you immediately called Beomgyu with, and explained this explosion of emotions you felt.
Your best friend called bullshit.
Even now, he remains to believe that what you feel for Soobin is a mild crush. Though you digress, you’d die for the boy. Or so you claim, dramatically.
The fact remaining present, as you scatter over a male clothing website in hunt of a gift for Soobin, your friend scowls in disbelief.
“$50 dollars? On a sweater, are you insane?”
“A little.” You shrug, truly not seeing what the big deal was. You’d pay that much for Beomgyu, so why not Soobin? He was your friend too, albeit a newer one, but that didn’t matter.
“I’m not even spending that much on him and I’ve known the dude forever.” He elaborates, rolling his eyes at this tirade.
“Well I’m not you.” You recoil, truth is you tend to go all out for your friends birthdays. Or as much as your pockets allow you to, that is. You knew Beomgyu just got him a twenty five dollar gift card and called it day, but this was your crush you’re talking about here.
He rolls his eyes and you just laugh. “Oh c’mon, don’t be so bitter. You’re still my favorite boy.”
He cringes at your teasing, fake gagging in disgust. “You’re an idiot.”
“An idiot for love.” You say, faking a dreamy little smile.
He launches a pillow at you, which you smartly dodge as you watch him stare you down. He just sighs and goes back to scrolling through whatever app on his phone.
He truly hated this. He was sure there was nothing worse in this world than sitting here, watching his best friend swoon over his other best friend. One who, he wasn’t even sure was into you. He just found this all to be a big waste of time.
You chasing this desirable feeling you called love, for a boy who you didn’t even know liked you back. Beomgyu would never understand, and he was sure he didn’t ever want to.
You draw him from your thoughts as you shove your laptop into his face, “What about this hoodie set? Does he wear sweatpants?”
He just stares back at you in silence, “Help me out here!” You whine, clicking through the different color combinations.
“You’re annoying, yes he wears sweatpants.” He finally responds.
“Ok I’ll just add that to the cart.... and then press total... 175 dollars?!” You shriek, eyes going wide. “Well, I mean, It’s the first birthday I’m celebrating with him..” You reason.
Though Beomgyu is rather quick to interrupt you. “You’re not seriously trying to rationalize an almost two hundred dollar purchase are you?”
“Oh shut up, you think those tickets I got for your birthday were cheap?” You sit up, hovering your mouse over the ‘Confirm Payment’ button.
“Maybe I’ll think over it,” You say, turning to face Beomgyu. “Hand me my phone?”
He passes it to you as you open Instagram, ready to ask your friend Isa for advice. You’re stopped dead in your tracks as you notice Soobin’s posted a new photo. That was all the clarification you needed.
Later that night, Beomgyu finds himself walking into the convenience store, less than surprised to see the cashier passed out on the counter.
He smirks as he slams his fists onto the counter, shouting “Put your hands up! This is a robbery!”
His friend is jolted awake as he looks frantically. Not registering that it’s his friend standing in front of him and not some thief dressed in all black. “Take whatever you want! Please don’t hurt me!”
His eyes are squeezed shut and it isn’t until he hears silence that he opens his eyes, seeing Beomgyu in front of him.
Yeonjun’s expression turns that of deadly as he threatens to reach over the counter and strangle the younger boy for the scare he gave him.
“It’s not funny! I thought I was gonna die!”
“Maybe don’t sleep on the job then.”
Yeonjun just groans in response, “Not like we have any customers, Soobin’s the only one in the last hour, and he just bought a ramen bowl.”
Beomgyu’s ear perk up at the mention of the other boys name, just the guy he wanted to see. He thanks Yeonjun as he heads to the other side of the store, where he knew Soobin would be sitting.
“Soobin!” He exclaims as he’s met with a bored expression.
“Yah! Beomgyu, It’s almost midnight. Too late for you to be so loud.”
“Whatever, I came to talk.”
Soobin nods, “Sure. Where’s your girl?”
Beomgyu groans as he knows that Soobin’s referring to you. “She’s not my girl. You guy’s need to stop calling her that.”
“What? It’s true.”
“If she’s my girl, why’d she spend about two hundred dollars on your birthday gift?”
“Damn, that’s a lot of money.” Soobin comments, going back to his ramen.
“Yeah, I think she might have a thing for you.” He tries to mention it casually, as if its an afterthought. Like it’s not a confirmed thing, but also in a way that drops a hint.
“You’re trying to deflect.”
“I’m serious.”
“She’s okay,” The older boy comments, “But she’s your girl.”
Beomgyu swears he was going to explode at that moment if Yeonjun hadn't miraculously appeared. “Go for it, if Beomgyu doesn’t claim her that means she’s free for the taking.”
“Ah, don’t talk about her like that.” The youngest boy defends. He was always defensive when it came to you.
Yeonjun just raises his hands in defeat as he goes back to mindlessly mopping the floor. “Listen Soobin, if you won’t make a move, I will.”
Beomgyu doesn’t know why but that comment utterly pisses him off. Before he can say anything though, Soobin’s shrugs, “Eh, you can have her.”
He scoffs at that as he makes a beeline for the door, ignoring the calls of his name. How could Soobin say that? Just handing you over to Yeonjun like you were some kind of object. He’d be damned if they thought he was just going to sit there and listen to them talk about this best friend in that way.
It isn’t until he’s seated in his car that he thinks over what was said. You’d be heartbroken if you knew that Soobin didn’t see you in that way. He had to stop you from confessing. He had to spare you the heart break.
He knew his efforts would likely be futile though. Why did you have to be so hell bent on being in love? Well its whatever now, but he was going to do whatever it took to make you get over Soobin.
-
“Wait, but why?” You ask, completely confused by the situation.
Your friend had came to you, asking you to go on a date with Taehyun.
“He said you were sweet and he’d like to get to know you more.” Beomgyu explained, and it wasn’t even a total lie. He really did say those things.
He had tread his way over to Taehyun’s house this morning and begged him to take you on a date. Taehyun was his only friend who didn’t have a track record of breaking girl’s hearts. Or ending relationships sourly, so he was an excellent option.
If you were so insistent on being in love, the guy should at least be nice.
Luckily, Taehyun didn’t need much convincing, and had mentioned he’d actually enjoy that. You were cute and quite friendly, so why not?
So now Beomgyu just had to convince you.
This was all a part of his master plan, which he wasn’t even entirely convinced would work. But he was going to try or so help him.
“But I like Soobin.” You state, as if he didn’t know this by now. “How am I supposed to get in good with him if I’m going on dates with his friend?”
“Soobin’s a dead end!” He states, causing you to frown. “Plus, a nice guy wants to take you on a date, how’s this a bad thing?”
You stay quiet in your seat as you think. Beomgyu was acting rather strange, but then again, he normally was. And he did have a point after all, you weren’t really getting anywhere with the other boy. It really couldn’t hurt.
“If you really don’t want to then I won’t force you, but he thinks you’re cool.” He levels, silently hoping you’ll be on board with it.
“Ok,” You shrug, why not? “Have him text me the details.”
Your best friend sighs in relief. Finally, something going right. He smiles, “Great! You’re gonna have fun.”
Yet, as he watches you get inside Taehyun’s car that night, he hopes you don’t have fun. He’s hoping you return home early, in fact.
So that you can just run to him, and you two can watch some cheesy movie on the couch, while he strokes your hair and eats popcorn out of your hands.
No, what was he saying ? He wanted you to have the time of your life, he wanted you to be happy.
So why now, was he scowling as you recant the nights events to him?
Your eyes lighting up at how kind Taehyun was, and how Beomgyu was nice to set you up.
“But..” You trail.
“But?” He perks up.
“He doesn’t make me feel like Soobin.” You frown.
Ah, there it is. Beomgyu want’s to beat his head into a wall. As well as Soobin’s.
He just groan’s as he flops onto your bed. “So what’re you gonna do?”
“I don’t know.” You admit, laying down softly next to him.
You hate moments like this. Moments when you feel weak in front of Beomgyu. You feel embarrassed as well. He must’ve thought you were a total loser.
Here he was, totally uninterested in love, but receiving confessions left and right. Whether it was from the cafe barista, or the young woman at the grocery store that you two frequented.
You envied him for it. For the simple fact that he could be so dismissive of love. You probably even hated him for it.
Why? Well, it was pretty self explanatory.
You were in love with Beomgyu.
Who were you kidding anyways? All your friends insist on the two of you being an item, based on your lovesick eyes always directed towards him. Even Soobin was convinced you two just needed to bite the bullet and date.
You don’t like to admit it, but Soobin’s never been anything more than a feeble attempt to move on. Something to distract you from Beomgyu, so surface area of you.You felt bad of course, but you had developed somewhat of a liking to him; That much was true.
Although, it’s always been Beomgyu.
But he’s never opened his eyes, and you’re convinced he’s never truly looked your way.
Because if he had, he would’ve noticed how your attention is never really on Soobin. In fact, when you two are together, your attention is rarely on anyone else.
You were chasing that feeling he gave you, and you swore it was only going to cause you to crash and burn. It was he reason you looked to so many boys, all to feel that love again.
Though you only ever really wanted Beomgyu.
What a cruel world.
Beomgyu thought the same.
Taking the date with Taehyun as a fail, Beomgyu had to move into another course of action. Though he only vaguely had an idea of what to do next.
If he couldn’t make you like someone else, all he had to do was make you dislike Soobin. Easy enough? Right? Except he might need more help than he initially thought.
“This is stupid.” Yeonjun admits, his attention more on the magazine in front of him, less on Beomgyu’s stupid plan. The florescent lights of the store shining down on the two boys.
Beomgyu had spent the last twenty minutes explaining his failed plans and his great venture to get you over Soobin, and this was the response?
“How?!”
“Okay for one, you’re meddling in her love life when she didn’t ask you to.”
“She’s my best friend. I just want what’s best for her.”
Yeonjun just quirks a brow, “Yeah, whatever you say.”
“So what should I do?”
“I don’t know man,” He responds, flipping the page.
“You’re no help, I might as well talk to Soobin.”
“Maybe,” Yeonjun shrugs. “Why don’t you get him involved?”
Beomgyu perks up at that. “I’m listening.”
“If you’re so insistent on a stupid plan, make it with Soobin.” He pauses. “Get him a fake girlfriend or something, then she’ll have no choice but to move on.”
“Yeonjun,” Beomgyu exclaims, his eyes lighting up. “You’re a genius!”
“Please just don’t do anything too stupid..I don’t like seeing pretty girls cry.”
“Trust me, that’s the last thing I plan on doing.”
And after dialing Soobins number and dragging him out of the house past midnight. He was fully confident in this plan and the success rate.
Soobin didn’t mind the plan, he was just going along with whatever his friend said. It was a shame he was going to have a fake a relationship and scare all his potential girls away though. That was the real loss to him.
“Now comes the real kicker,” Beomgyu speaks up. “Where do we find a girl willing to fake date Soobin?”
“I can ask my co-worker.” Yeonjun says, throwing his suggestion up in the air.
“Isn’t she like 16?”
“Obviously not that one!”
“Oh yes the other one,” Soobin follows. “Her name’s Isa right?”
“Yeah, she’s in the back right now, and you know what? She owes me a favor. I can get her up here now?”
“Do it.” Beomgyu agrees, although he swears that name sounds so familiar. But he was just overthinking, his brain was all over the place right now.
She listens intently to the plan though, and nods along. Somewhat agreeing to the whole thing too easily. Eager to get all the details she could out.
The plan seemed perfect, this was a surefire way to get you over Soobin.
-
Beomgyu is now beginning to realize why Isa seemed so familiar.
She was your friend.
Only he wished he had come to the realization sooner.
Not while you were sitting in his apartment, looking dejectedly at the floor.
“So what? You didn’t trust I could handle Soobin’s rejection on my own?” You say, though it come out weakly.
Beomgyu’s racing to find the words to say. To tell you he was only looking out for you. To tell you that he cared about you too much to let his idiot of a friend hurt you.
But the words wouldn’t come out, so he said nothing.
“You were going to deceive me. Set a whole thing up so I wouldn’t confess?! Why wouldn’t you just tell me that he didn’t like me?”
Truth be told, you were a mess. Isa had called you in the early hours in the morning, telling you about Beomgyu’s plan from start to finish. You didn’t know what to think.
Did he see you that lowly as someone who can’t handle a mere rejection?
You also did not peg him to be the lying kind.
“Are you just gonna stand there?” You snap, tired of his continued silence.
“I never meant to hurt you, or make you feel this way. I understand-” He begins, trying to organize his thoughts.
“You don’t understand! That’s the honest problem Beomgyu! I don’t know why you thought you could go messing around in my life! And to get my friend involved?” You shake your head.
“I was trying to help? You think I want to sit here and see you cry over another guy?” Beomgyu says, frustrated that you can’t seem to get that he was only trying to do good by you.
“Why can’t you just let me be?!” You argue back, “To be honest Choi, you know nothing about my love life.”
“I know everything!” He retorts. “Too much! I’ve seen you fall for guy after guy, only to get your heart broken every time!”
“God, Beomgyu!” You burst, voice steadily rising. “I wouldn’t have to if you just opened your eyes!”
Silence engulfs the room as he processes what you’ve just said. You don’t dare move an inch as he stares at you.
You’re holding back tears as your voice lowers, “Just do it. Reject me.”
“What?” He says, stunned. He has no idea what you’re on about.
“Reject me so I can move on!” You yell, tears spilling onto your shirt.
He doesn’t know what to say. His thoughts are flooded and his hearts racing a mile a minute.
“You like me?” He starts. “Since when?”
“Since I met you.” You state, walking straight to the front door. Not even stopping to look behind you.
This wasn’t it, this wasn’t how it was supposed to happen. It was never supposed to happen. Now its up in the air, your confession laid out in the open.
It’s up to him now.
And he had no idea what to do.
All he does is ruffle his hair in his hands, thinking about everything that just happened. You cried, but not over just any boy, you cried over him.
The heartbreak he had swore to protect you from, came from him.
He wants to throw everything around the room, he was being stupid. He knew you would’ve been fine taking a rejection from Soobin. He knew how strong you were. He knew he shouldn't have gotten involved.
You were making him feel all kinds of emotions and he hated it. He wants to run after you, tell you to stay. Or to pick up his phone and make sure you got home safe at the very least.
But he can’t bring himself to do either of those things.
-
Soobin’s party came along way faster than Beomgyu had anticipated.
He wasn’t sure if you were going or not, but he was hoping you would at least make an appearance. He hasn't spoken to you since you ran out on him, you ignoring his countless texts and calls.
He was close to showing up to your place unannounced, until Yeonjun said you had visited the store and told him to pass along to Beomgyu that you were fine. Funny how you knew he was worried about you.
But as Beomgyu racks his brain, why would you show up to Soobin’s party? You knew about him being in on the plan too. He didn’t imagine you would show up at all.
Yet there you were, walking in through the front door about an hour late. Handing Soobin the gift you had purchased for him. Your smile telling that this was somewhat of a parting gift, something that says you hold nothing against him. Oh how Beomgyu wished for you to smile at him like that right now.
Then his mood sours as he notices you brought someone with you. A guy, you brought a guy with you. He didn’t look familiar to Beomgyu at all. Surprised that you never seemed to mention him.
Beomgyu prayed he was just a friend.
Because if there’s anything he’s realized in these couple of weeks apart. It was that he couldn’t be without you. You were plaguing his mind every day. He had confused these feelings with simple care before, but now he was sure of it.
He was in love.
But once again, it seems time is his enemy, as he realized it all too late.
You walk around a greet a few others you knew, introducing your friend. (Or who he hopes is just your friend.)
“Yeonjun,” Beomgyu calls out, approaching his friend after you had left his area. Simply to know if he found out anything.
“You wanna know who he is?” Yeonjun smirks, knowing the other all too well.
“What-” Beomgyu sputters, taken aback. Hes about to deny it when Yeonjun opens his mouth to speak again.
“Save it, his names Jeno. I can’t get a read on what he is to her though. They seem platonic but maybe they’re dating.” The older boy shrugs.
To this day it still baffles Yeonjun how it took Beomgyu this long to realize he liked you. The others realized it long ago, hence the teasing comments. Though, now that Beomgyu had admitted it, they were determined to help instead. Which is why he gave up your business without a fight.
Beomgyu turns back to face you, the parties pretty big, so it takes him a while to find you again. But when he does, you’re on the couch, intently showing Jeno something on your phone. He laughs, and then slings his arm around you, while you peacefully lean into it.
Beomgyu turns away.
He wants to approach you, he wants to ask you how you are, he wants to know who Jeno is to you. But he can’t. He’s not even sure if you’re friends anymore.
It’s supposed to be none of his concern.
Too bad his legs started moving faster than his brain, and before he knew it, he was two feet away from you.
You and Jeno stare up at Beomgyu, who is just awkwardly standing in front of your line of sight. Jeno just turns to you, and you signal for him to stay quiet.
“Can I help you?” You speak, not able to look Beomgyu in the eye.
You’re not sure if he thought this was some revenge jealousy ploy, but it was exactly the opposite of that. Jeno was just your friend, someone who you got close to after you confided in him about Beomgyu’s rejection. You brought him just to keep you company, knowing you’d likely be alone all night if you didn’t.
Nothing more and nothing less.
“Can we talk?” He responds, fully expecting you to tell him to get lost.
Jeno’s about to do just that. Though you put your hand on his leg to stop him, “It’s fine.”
You know he just wants to make sure you’re okay, but you can handle it.
“Sure.” You say, directed towards Beomgyu. “Lets get this over with I guess.”
Beomgyu leads you to Soobins patio, not saying a word until he closes the door behind him. Nervously fidgeting with his hands until he rests them on the railing.
“So,” He begins. “How are you?”
“I’m fine.” You mutter in response.
He nods and stares into the grass, “How’s-”
“Cut the crap,” You interrupt, “I know you didn’t bring me out here to ask how I’m doing. We never used to beat around the bush before. What’s on your mind?”
“Are you and Jeno dating?” He says bluntly, embarrassed with how fast it came out. His mind pushed it to the front of his brain and he couldn’t stop the words from tumbling out.
But you just laugh, “You know his name? Asked around huh?”
His face turns red, was he that obvious? “Yeah I did.”
“Why does it matter if we’re dating?” You ask, scoffing at this interrogation.
“It matters because he’d get in the way.”
“Of what?”
“Of me confessing.”
“Beomgyu, this isn’t funny.” You turn to leave but he grabs your wrist and stops you. His eyes showing his sincerity, as he loosens his hold.
“I’m not joking.”
“Be serious. You’re always saying-”
You’re cut off with his lips meeting yours.
His minds reeling, he didn’t know what to do. He just wanted to show you he was serious. That he meant it.
The kiss is quick, him pulling away first followed by profuse apologies.
“I’m an idiot, I’m sorry. You could be dating-”
“I’m not dating anyone.” You state, interrupting his rambling. His face flushed and eyes unable to meet your own. “He’s just my friend.”
Beomgyu can finally release a breath he was holding, relieved at your answer.
“But that doesn’t change that you’ve been avoiding me,”
“I was getting over you.” You explain, looking down at your feet. “It’d be kind of hard if I was around you all the time.”
He nods in understanding, “That’s why I didn’t think you’d come today.”
“I wasn’t going to, but those clothes are way too big for me.” You laugh, not making eye contact.
You two are silent for a minute, only the sound of chatter from inside that bleeds through the back door. He wants to tell you, no he needs to tell you.
“I want to be with you.” He whispers, tone soft. “I’ve never felt this way about anyone. You brought this all out of me. It’s like I don’t know what to do without you. ”
Your heart softens, “Took you long enough to realize.”
He holds your hands into his, “I think I’ve always known.”

✧ beomgyu
you intertwined your fingers with him, tugging his hand, attempting to bring him closer to you. "come awnnn, beomgyuuu," he pulled his hand away from yours, crossing his arms as you followed him out of the bedroom and into the parlor. "i said i was sorry!" you tapped his shoulder jokingly as he made his way to the couch, slouching in his seat. he didn't spare you a glance as used his arm to search around for the remote of the television, only giving up after barely five seconds.
you giggled at his antics and sat down beside him. "please forgive me," you leaned forward to get a better look at his face, watching as he turned his head to the side. "it threw my whole day off.." he stated through his pout. "ah, really?" you sat up in mock-surprise, an idea suddenly popping in your head. "then i'm really, reeaallyyy sorry, gyu," you grasped his hand with both of yours, brining them up to your lips to press a soft kiss to it, "my apologies, prince beomgyu,"
he couldn't help the smile the crawled onto his lips at your joke, scoffing at you before leaning into you, "fiiine, i forgive you." you giggle at him and kiss his cheek, bringing your feet up to the couch as he wraps an arm around your shoulder.
"uh, gyu? where's the remote?" he shrugged. "i don't know, but i don't need any television because i've got you. you're way nicer to look at." he looks over to you, maintaining eye contact as you tried to hide your smile. "aww, beomgyu!" you cooed at him before he spoke up again, "because you're as entertaining as the circus! y'know, being a clown and all." your smile dropped. "yah." you responded sharply.
✧ soobin:
you practically flew off the couch when you heard the familiar three knocks at the front door. “coming!” you yelled, scrambling to the door and opening it. “hiii, soobs!!” you smiled as he leaned in to hug you, swinging you from side to side "hi," he responded through his smile.
you hadn’t seen him properly for around two weeks; lately he always goes to sleep before you, as gets up before you do to all his promotions following the new comeback. it's been hard for the both of you, and since today marked the end of them, you'd planned to spend the night together in your shared apartment.
however, as hours went by, you noticed that he always found some way to avoid your lips; as the two of you were cooking dinner, you hugged him and he placed his chin on your shoulder; when you were watching a movie, you made a kissy face, expecting him to place his lips on yours, but he kissed your cheek instead; in bed, you tilted your head up and leaned into him as he swerved.
finally, as you were laying on his chest and about to fall asleep, you attempted one last time and he turned his head- yeah, you've had enough. "yah, soobin!" you sat up and glared at him. "why won't you kiss me!?"
"oh," he peeked an eye open, "you can go a day without a kiss, can't you?"
you were suddenly thrown back to a conversation the two of you had hours ago, around six in the morning.
"please, [name]-ie?" he frowned at you as he held your waist, already leaning in for a kiss before you pushed him by his chest. "nooo! you're gonna be late! this is the last day, isn't it? you can go a day without a kiss," it was the only day you managed to wake up just as he was leaving, but it wasn't much help, seeing as he had to leave now. you removed his arms from you, pushing him out the door. "bye, babe!" he pouted at you and let out a very measly "bye," before you closed the door and waddled back to bed.
you scrunched your eyebrows at him and frowned. "really?" you couldn't contain your shocked laughter at his response. "i didn't want you to be late!" he shrugged, "i would gladly be late if it meant an extra kiss from you," he stated, not bothering to open his eyes.
you rolled your eyes at him and jokingly scowled at him. "fine." you turned away from him and slept with your back to him, pulling the covers to your shoulder, fully expecting this to turn into a game of who-can-last-longer. however, you were barely away from him for a minute till he scooted closer behind you, wrapping arms around your stomach, spooning you. "sorry," he leaned down to leave butterfly kisses at the back of your neck. you giggled and turned around to face him. "switched up so fast."
he smiled, "only for you," he shifted to place his lips on yours.
✧ yeonjun
"aah! i'm gonna be late!" you rushed towards the door with only a single shoe on your foot, the other in your hand as you turned the knob. "bye, honey! i'm leaving for work!"
you heard scattering feet as the man you called your boyfriend ran up to you. "yah, wait up!" he helped you open the door and you almost turned to run out, but he stopped you, gently holding your cheeks, "love you."
you pried his fingers of your face, instead opting to kiss his fingers "love you too! i gotta go!" you rushed out the door, and in a hurry, slammed it behind you unintentionally. yeonjun stood there in shock and couldn't help the laugh that escaped his mouth.
you didn't have much time to check your phone during your busy day, but if you did, you'd have noticed your boyfriend didn't text you all day. unlike usually, where he'd constantly check up on you when he could.
when you got home, you were met with a very frowny boy. "jun! i'm home!" you called out as you stepped out of your work shoes and into your slippers. you heard his response, listening for him as he took relaxed steps toward you. "do you wan-" you barely got to greet him before he held your cheeks and placed your soft lips with his own, tilting your head to the side, deepening the connection. the two of you stood like that for several seconds before he pulled away. "hey," he finally responded before walking away. you were left standing there in shock. “you can’t just do that to me and expect me to not want more!” you yelled after him, smiling at the way his laugh rang through the apartment.
