Calling these things sissy squats is really down playing the pain and agony of these when done properly. I ended quads with a nice superset which was RF style leg extensions followed by sissy squats. To do these you want to go slow and squeeze as hard as you can. You also do not want to stand upright otherwise it takes major tension of the quads. Instead when you come up you’re still leaving back a decent amount. This helps hit a good portion of the rectus femoris. By also doing rectus femoris style leg extensions before hand it helps you really activate that area when doing the sissy squats. Dieting, training, cardio, sleep, supplements, etc all of these factors go into play on top of time which makes your body like a giant friggen puzzle. Sometimes i feel like my body and metabolism is a 10000 piece puzzle that’s taking forever to put together. The question is how does someone put together such a large puzzle? Back to the heavy stuff. Top set here with the power squat machine. Feet back toes out. The bonus is I set the platform little lower which allows me to hit quads a bit more while still wrecking my glutes and hamstrings.
