TV: Personajes LGBTQ de “Elite”

La Casa de la N se anotó otro clásico en su plataforma cuando estrenó, en 2018, “Elite”, una serie española de ocho capítulos por temporada (ya van por la quinta y se planea una sexta, además de contar con una serie spin-off titulada “Elite: Historias breves”). Creada por Carlos Montero y Darío Madrona, la historia propone el clásico choque de clases sociales desde el minuto cero: tres alumnos de un colegio secundario público que se ha derrumbado ingresan becados a “La Encinas“, uno de los colegios más exclusivos de España. Aunque, además de enfrentar un entorno poco o nada empático con sus circunstancias sociales, se ven obligados a convivir con la sospecha del crimen de una de sus compañeras, acaecido en la nueva escuela.

Tratándose de una serie en donde el protagonismo recae en  adolescentes, es lógico inferir que entre ellos habrá al menos un personaje perteneciente a la comunidad LGBTQ y que la temática se colará en su línea narrativa. 

Aquí son varios. Conócelos:

Ander Muñoz (Arón Piper)

Ser el hijo de la directora de “Las Encinas” tiene su privilegios, pero también sus presiones, entre las que también incluye entrenar para ser el campeón de tenis que su padre quiere. No es tan raro, pues, que este tímido muchacho decida gastar algún dinero en drogas con las que pueda amortiguar el estrés. Lo peculiar, en su caso, es que quien le vende el producto es precisamente alguien que se convertirá en su novio en una relación que, en principio, inquietará a su familia. Carga con el devastador peso de conocer al asesino de su compañera, ocultárselo al hermano de ésta, que es su mejor amigo, y enfrentar la amenaza de un cáncer.

Omar Shanaa (Omar Ayuso)

Proveniente de una familia de inmigrantes palestinos de férrea fe musulmana, Omar es el orgullo de su familia, que ignora tanto su actividad económica (vende drogas) como su sexualidad, la cual se confirma cuando inicia una relación, al principio clandestina, con Ander. En cuanto ésta sale a la luz, ese chico inteligente y respetuoso es expulsado de su casa, pasa a vivir un tiempo con su novio y revela una personalidad más abierta e incluso rebelde. La enfermedad de Ander afianza su acercamiento con éste, pero las tensiones por la novedad le descolocan y llega a tener relaciones con Malick, el novio de su hermana Nadia (Mina El Hammani).

Leopoldo "Polo" Benavent Villada (Álvaro Rico)

Polo no es ajeno al mundo LGBTQ debido a haber sido criado por dos madres, pero es un trío sexual, que ejecuta con sus compañeros de clase Carla Rosón (Ester Expósito) y Christian Varela (Miguel Herrán) el que detona el conocimiento de su bisexualidad. Frío y calculador, sin ser protagonista su participación, como uno de los mejores amigos de Guzmán (Miguel Bernardau) y Ander, es determinante en los eventos más cruciales de la serie.  

Malick Diallo (Leïti Sène)

De origen musulmán, Malick no tarda en conquistar el corazón de Nadia y ganarse a sus padres. Personaje que sólo aparece en la tercera temporada, llega a conectarse con Omar cuando éste estaba atravesando una etapa de inquietudes personales debido a la enfermedad de Ander; ambos se dejan llevar por sus pasiones, lo cual trastornará no sólo la relación entre Omar y Ander sino también la de Malick y Nadia. E incluso cambiará el concepto sobre su propia sexualidad.

Patrick Blanco (Manu Ríos)

Justo cuando la relación entre Ander y Omar comenzaba a regresar a su cauce normal llega a Patrick a Las Encinas a poner todo de cabeza. Hijo del nuevo director, se establece en el mismo curso con sus hermanas y, tras un primer acercamiento con Ander (en la duchas del colegio), deciden iniciar un trío. Pero esa decisión, inicialmente consensuada, generará un intenso terremoto emocional capaz de destrozar la confianza de los tres pasionales integrantes. Tras la partida de Ander, que va a recorrer el mundo, Omar y Patrick conforman una especie de “amigos con derecho” hasta que un chico nuevo, Iván, aparece en Las Encinas e inicia una amistad que desea se convierta en algo más. Éste se niega debido a que no es homosexual, pero la tensión sexual entre ambos se hace cada vez más evidente y es consumada entre Patrick y el aparentemente homófobo Cruz (Carloto Crotta), nada menos que el padre del chico que le fascina. Gay de closet debido a su rol de estrella en el mundo del fútbol, Cruz no puede resistirse a sus encantos y se ve obligado a tomar una decisión cuando Iván le confiesa que tiene sentimientos encontrados con el tercero en discordia. En el fondo, más alá de su rebeldía, su desenfado y su carencia de límite, este sobreviviente del feroz accidente que mató a su madre sólo desea ser amado y aceptado por su padre  

Mencia Blanco (Martina Cariddi)

“Yo no me pongo etiquetas“. Así es como Mencia explica su sexualidad. Durante tres temporadas, “Elite“ ha tocado el tema de la sexualidad queer a través de Ander, Omar y Polo, pero ahora les llegó el turno a las chicas y vaya historia les tocó. Para comenzar, aunque proviene de una familia adinerada, Mencia tiene un trabajo secreto como prostituta, el cual la relaciona con un tipo tan influyente como peligroso. Otra que se siente despreciada por su padre, al igual que su hermano Patrick, halla un amor sorpresivo en Rebeka que cambia su horizonte de vida aún tras el final del romance.  

Rebeka Parrilla (Claudia Salas)

Enamorarse de otra chica nunca estuvo en sus planes. Hija única de una madre con presente delictivo, su corazón padecía por Samuel (Itzán Escamilla) cuando éste estaba entablando un romance con Carla hasta que, tras su inesperado encuentro con Mencia, inicia un nuevo rumbo en su sexualidad, muy a pesar de su progenitora, que duda de las buenas intenciones. Probablemente uno de lo mejores personajes de la serie, Rebeka es aguerrida, bocazas y extremadamente inteligente, además de poseer, más allá de su experiencia en las malas artes, un corazón de oro. Si hay una amiga en la que puedes confiar en Las Encinas, sin duda ésta es Rebe.    

Iván Carvalho (André Lamoglia)

La primera vez que Patrick vio a Iván no fue amor sino ardor a primera vista, y no era para menos: sonrisa encantadora, ojos arrebatadores, cuerpazo de ensueño, calidez en las maneras. Hijo de una estrella de fútbol portuguesa acostumbrado a los constantes viajes y a los escasos amigos, el joven encuentra en el hermano de Mencia al amigo o hermano que no tiene. Repite una y mil veces, para que le quede claro, que no es homosexual y que no acepta sus avances ni de broma. No obstante, su sexualidad termina arremetiendo con la fuerza de una gran confusión y, cuando comienza a abrazarla tras mucho tiempo de negación, descubre que su propio padre también tiene sentimientos encontrados hacia Patrick, generando una situación asfixiante para los tres.
