Have you checked out the latest casting notices? 🤡
Sorry for the late response @mindyourownbiscuitss , I somehow missed your ask. I have seen the casting notices😭😭😭. Putting the rest below the cut in case anyone wants to avoid spoilers.
Looks like we’re getting the wedding in 12x06, which hopefully means we’ll see Jesse in 12x04 or 12x05 since it sounds like he’ll be back for multiple episodes. For anyone that hasn’t seen them, so far we have casting calls for an “event” for what looks like Sylvie’s parents, and then photo doubles for Scott (hopefully this means Amelia too), Trudy, Christie, The Darden boys (I’m guessing it’s one post looking for both of them like with the pic in 12x01), and who I’m assuming are Chloe and Donna. Interesting though that it says for an interior and exterior event scene 🤔
The descriptions for “C” and “D” kinnnnnd of sound like Chili and Dawson though lmaoooo, but they must just be inaccurate descriptions of Chloe and Donna, because there’s no way 😂

Maybe Someday
read it on the AO3 at https://ift.tt/H6oiOmu
by shmembo51
Sylvie was his everything, long distance wasn't going to change that and neither was a break-up. Matt was her whole world, but she just couldn't get over the fact that their stars weren't aligned. No matter how hard either of them tried, there was no moving forward without the other in their lives.
Maybe someday they told themselves. Maybe someday when the universe owed them a favor their stars would align and they could finally be together again, and this time, their love would last a lifetime.
Maybe someday Matt and Sylvie would finally get their happily ever after.

Caught in the middle (1/3)
Info: During Casey and Voight's falling out Voight goes for the one person Casey cares about the most, his 16 year old sister y/n.
Tumblr media
Y/n Casey was the sister of Matthew Casey and had been living with him for most of her life. She was only one when her mother went to prison and Casey, although he had just started his firefighting career, took it upon himself to look after his baby sister. Their sister Christie had barely been in her life due to the falling out of the older siblings, despite Casey trying to get Christie to be in their sisters life.
Upon being raised by her older brother, y/n was relatively close to firehouse 51. Kelly and Darden had been like her older brothers until the death of Darden. Since then, Kelly had tried to keep the relationship y/n and himself had but due to Kelly and Casey blaming each other for the death of their falling friend, Casey wasn't that fond of y/n being around Kelly and y/n didn't want to make Casey any more angry at Kelly then he already was so chose to spend as little time with Kelly as possible.
Having no parental figures in her life, Y/n looked up to Hermann, mouch and Boden as if they were her fathers. If Casey needed someone to watch out or y/n, he would often call upon one of the three to look out for her. In turn, if Hermann and Cindy wanted to go for a night out, y/n would often watch over the kids for them.
Shay and Dawson were like sisters to her. If she needed girly advice they would be the ones she would turn to. Due to living with Casey, it also meant that she got along with Hallie. No matter what the firehouse 51 had her back, and there was always someone who was there for her.
-------------------------------------------
"Y/n." Severide smiled from the squad table as y/n and Casey walked in. Y/n looked at Casey to see him glaring at Kelly before walking to his office. "Hi Kelly." Y/n waved before heading in the same direction of Casey.
Kelly looked around as he moved his chair back before getting up and following y/n away from the others.
"Hey, y/n, wait up." Kelly called out once they were out of side. Y/n sighed and stopped as she looked ahead at her brother as he went through some papers. "Look Kelly I don't think............" "You don't have to ignore me because of what's going on with me and Casey." Kelly stated as he stopped in front of her. "I'm not." She stated abruptly. "Are you sure, cause it sure seems like it." Kelly stated sarcastically, causing y/n to look down. "I just don't want things to be awkward, or to make anyone uncomfortable." "They won't if you don't let it." Y/n stared ahead in silence. "Just, come have lunch at squad table later yeah." He asked, hopeful.
Y/n went to respond only to be interrupted by the sound of the alarm going off.
"Truck 81, Squad 3, ambulance 61, house fire at west avenue." The dispatch called out.
Y/n stood still as the fire crew started rushing past her, ignoring as Kelly squeezed her shoulder before heading over to squad. Seeing a boy wearing a t-shirt which read 'candidate' she froze. She snapped out of it as Casey rushed passed her, turning back to give her a wink of assurance, to which she nodded and gave a weak smile. She watched as the ambulance and fire truck left the fire house, sirens blaring as they rushed down the street.
---------------------------------
Casey glanced back at the firehouse as his sister glanced down in the direction they left before sitting back in his chair. A piece of paper at the corner of the trucks window caught his eye, causing him to smile, remembering when 5 year old y/n ran proudly into the fire station after play school, showing off the drawings she made for each firehouse 51 vehicle. Hermann watched as Casey picked up the worn picture with a smile.
"How's y/n Casey?" Hermann asked, causing Casey to glance back at him as he pulled away from his thoughts. "Who's y/n?" Peter asked in confusion. "She's my little sister." Casey stated, placing the picture back at the corner. "The light of firehouse 51." Cruz joked causing everyone to laugh in agreement. "She's doing well Hermann, she hasn't had many nightmares in a while, and the ones she does have aren't as bad as they had been, which is good." Casey explained, speaking of the nightmares that his sister had since Darden's death. "That's great to hear Casey, really great." Hermann smiled with a nod of his head. "Alright guys, let's roll." Casey announced as they reached the house, getting ready to fight another blaze.
-------------------------------
Y/n sat at Casey's desk, pen in her mouth as she typed away on her laptop, studying for final exams of the school year. Rubbing her eyes, she threw her arms over her head to stretch them when a picture catches her eye, a picture of her, Casey, Kelly and Darden after the three boys had graduated. Y/n, who was 3 back then, was perched on Darden's waist as they all smiled. Smiling sadly, y/n stood up from her seat and ran a finger over the picture.
Standing in silence for a few minutes, y/n snapped out of her thoughts when she heard the sound of vehicles pulling into the firehouse. Throwing the pen that had been in her mouth onto the desk, she rushed out of her brothers office, towards the direction of the trucks.
Casey barely had time to step down from the truck before his siter jumped onto him. Stumbling back, Casey wraps his arms around his sister to prevent her from falling. He watched as the guys walked by them, smiling softly at the two siblings before heading into the cafeteria area, Mouch messing with y/ns hair gently as he passed. Keeping an arm around Y/n, Casey placed her back on her own two feet before closing the truck door, keeping an arm around his sisters waist. He placed a kiss on y/ns head gently as Kelly walked by, glancing their way.
"I'm ok." He stated after a few minutes holding onto y/n, rubbing her back gently. Y/n sighed and pulled away from her brother slowly, nodding as he tucks a piece of hair behind her ears. He keeps both his hands on her face as he bends slightly to retain eye contact with her. "I'm okay." He stated again, smiling at her causing y/n to smile.
Stepping back from each other, the siblings made their way to Casey's office, Casey's arm draped over y/ns shoulder. Y/n leaned into her brother as he glanced at her school work that lay on his desk, checking on what she was doing.
"What were you working on?" He asked, picking up some sheets that lay on the laptops keyboard. "English project." Y/n stated. "What's it about?" "Shakespeare's work." Y/n stated, giggling slightly as Casey threw the piece of paper down with a look of displeasure. "It's not that bad." "I beg to differ." Casey stated, moving away from y/n as she saved the work that she had on her laptop. "Come on let's get some lunch."
The duo headed into the canteen where the rest of firehouse 51 were grabbing their lunch. Y/n glanced towards the squad table where Kelly sat, and he smiled softly at her as she waved shyly before accepting the plate of lasagna Casey gave her. She sat at the corner of the aisle after grabbing some water, listening to the fire crew as they talked about the fire. She stopped eating when she seen Kelly standing up, walking towards the exit. He turned and nodded at her to follow him causing y/n to look at Casey before following him.
-----------------------------------
Y/n crosses her arms over her body as she walks out of the firehouse, standing close to were Kelly was. He glanced her way as the two stood in silence.
"Look I know that Casey and I aren't on the best of terms right now, but I would really like it if we kept the relationship that we had." Kelly stated after a few minutes of them just standing quietly, turning to face her. Y/n didn't sat anything for a minute, instead turning to look in the direction of the firehouse. I just dont want it to be awkward. You and Casey aren't exactly talking and I feel like I'd be insulting him if I talked to you." Y/n stated, glancing at Kelly who watched her carefully. "It won't be if you don't let it." Kelly assured her, placing a hand on her shoulder, "I just want my little buddy back." He stated, trying to get her to at least smile, smiling himself when he seen a faint smile appear on her face as she tucked her chin into her chest. "I missed you." He said, bending slightly to look into her eyes, causing her to smile up at him. "I guess I missed you too." Y/n smiled causing Kelly to smile as he stood up straight again.
Kelly moved closer and pulled y/n into a hug. Y/n sighed as she accepted the hug, wrapping her arms around his torso. She shivered with the cold, causing Kelly to pull back from her.
"You cold? Come on, we better head back in so you don't get sick." Kelly stated, moving towards the firehouse. "Actually, I think I'm going to stay out here for a bit." Y/n stated, looking over her shoulder at Kelly. "Here, have my jacket then, and don't stay out for too long." He warned her, taking off his jacket and helping her put it on. "Thanks." She smiled, allowing the cuffs of the jacket to fall over her hands, flapping them gently as she watched Kelly leave.
"Y/n Casey." A voice called out, causing y/n to turn around to see a man with grey hair looking at her as he leaned on a black car. "How do you know my name?" She asked, looking back at the firehouse with weariness. "The names Voight, Detective Voight." The man responded, moving away from his car as he spoke to her. "Can I help you with something?" She asked, stepping back as Voight moved closer to her. "Just a chat is all." Voight responded with a slight smile as he stopped in front of y/n.
----------------------
Boden walked out of the bathrooms, heading towards the canteen when he seen Y/n standing outside. Moving closer to the exit, his face hardened as he seen Voight talking to the young girl. Shaking his head he made his way into the canteen, walking over to Casey.
"Casey." He stated with a strong voice, causing Casey to look up at the chief in confusion. "Voight's at y/n."
Casey's eyes widened before jumping out of his seat, rushing towards the entrance with Boden close behind. Seeing Voight talking to his sister caused him anger as he walked towards the two, Boden staying at the exit to watch.
"Voight stay the hell away from her." Casey shouted, pointing at Voight as y/n glanced in her brothers direction in confusion. "Just a talk is all." Voight stated, opening his arms outwards. "Leave her alone Voight." Casey stated as he stopped beside y/n, pushing her back gently. Y/n looked back a the firehouse to see the rest of the department watching what was happening. "You know Casey, your sister here, she's quite smart." Voight stated, glancing at y/n who looked between the two men with confusion. "Don't you come near her again you hear me." Casey stated, moving closer to Voight who just smirked before leaving to his car, nodding at the firehouse as he opened his car door before leaving.
Casey wrapped an arm around y/n's shoulders as he watched Voight leave. Y/n watched the car turn the corner before facing her brother who placed his hands on her shoulders before looking her in the eye.
"You okay?" He asked, a look of concern on his face. "Yeah fine, he was just asking me if I had seen anything suspicious lately." Y/n responded, Casey nodding in relief at her answer. "He comes near you again, you let me know alright." Casey stated as he pushed a piece of hair behind her ear.
Y/n nods and Casey smiles, pulling her into a hug as he kissed her head. She smiled at him as they separated before Casey wrapped an arm around her shoulder, leading her to his office, ignoring the looks the rest of his co-workers gave them as they passed. The crew looked at Boden who just watched Casey bring his sister into his office before nodding, telling them all to just leave what happened in the firehouse.

Brettsey questions
Season 10 speculation…
1. How will everyone at the Firehouse find out about them?
I kind of hope we get an episode where Brettsey stays hidden under the radar. I want us to get to see little moments of where they’re reassuring each other and having sweet scenes together in the early days of their relationship but for everyone else to still be oblivious so we can get a bigger reveal and see how the others react once the drama from the lake is resolved. There must only be a handful of the, with no inkling, the rest seem to already know something is going on. I think I’m most curious to see Severide’s and Boden’s reactions but I don’t think we’ll actually get much with everything else going on.
Tumblr media
2. What will this seasons Brettsey drama be?
There’s going to be drama at some point. I hope it’s nothing significant, I want to get their communication back on track and now they’ve address the Gaby situation they’ve conquered the biggest obstacle. Time will tell, let’s just hope it’s something they get through together.
3. What will their nicknames for each other be?
I just don’t know what they’d end up calling each other. Will it just be “Matt and Sylvie” or will we get something cutesy?
Tumblr media
4. Will we get a meet the family episode?
Matt and Syvlie road trip to see Amelia as a couple is a must. Having Christie back and seeing Violet again needs to be an episode. The Darden boys look to coming back and they need to meet Brett. Who are Sylvie’s adoptive parents and is her brother still alive. What about the aunt she lived with? What’s going on with Nancy Casey? There’s so much they could revisit now that Brettsey are together.
5. What will be their first big step?
I mean if we don’t get a moving out of the loft storyline this season, we will riot, right?
We also need to see them renovating a place together. It’s not too much too ask.
Tumblr media
The new season is close guys!!!

I finally watched the 200th episode of Chicago Fire and actually one of the most disappointing things about this episode for me was the fact that Matt's sister and niece, Christie and Violent weren't even mentioned.
Even with everything that went on with the Darden boys and Heather, I expected them to at least mention Nancy Casey just to show that Matt truly understood, maybe even more than the boys.
Of course I know that 51 and Brettsey are the most important things but did the writers forget that Matt has a family outside of 51. They should have mentioned his sister and niece.
Y’know, I was disappointed too that we didn’t get a mention of Nancy or Christie or Violet, but it’s not super high on the list of disappointments for me. We only got to see his sister once in season 9 and before that it’d been, what, six seasons since we’d seen her?? Point being, they had Matt make a very specific point last season of talking about him coming from a family full of secrets. He loves Christie and he’s close with her and Violet, sure, but 51 is his real family. They also had only five episodes to build up Jesse’s departure so I have no doubt the reactions of the main characters were their top priority. Make no mistake though, I’m still bummed out about the fact that they weren’t even mentioned!

“Come here. Let me fix it.”
Part of an ongoing series about Casey and Severide saying I love you without actually saying those exact words.  Don’t think Tumblr will let me add the links here but all parts are available on tumblr, ao3, and ff.net.
Their apartment, cramped and cluttered on the best of days, was a flurry of activity on the day of their graduation ceremony.  Neither Severide nor Casey had much family attending but Andy’s parents were so proud of their son, the firefighter, that they’d invited half their family tree to celebrate the exciting day.  Not that Casey begrudged Andy that, even if having so many unfamiliar people in their apartment made his skin crawl a little; he was sure if things were different for him he’d want his family around him today as well.
As it was, he only had a sister sitting in the corner, covertly checking her watch to see how much longer until she could get back to her college dorm room.
Casey looked away from Christie, eyes skipping over one of Andy’s countless aunts yelling at her numerous children to behave, skirted around Andy’s grandmother yelling to anyone who would listen about how she’d forgotten her hearing aides at home, and finally settled on Severide, who was standing just inside his bedroom doorway, wrestling with his tie.  Chuckling to himself, Casey waded through the many Darden family members clustered in the room and finally reached him.
“Having trouble?” he teased, leaning against the door frame.
“Shut up,” Severide grumbled without looking up, no bite to the words.  Casey watched him struggle with the tie for another minute before letting out a breath, somewhere between a chuckle and an exasperated sigh.
“Come here.  Let me fix it.”
Severide peered up at Casey, almost shyly, through his lashes, and another breath caught in Casey’s throat.  He had always found the other man unfairly attractive, with thick dark hair, the barest trace of stubble along his strong jaw, and lips that Casey ached to taste.  He’d put Severide firmly in the out-of-bounds category when he and Darden had offered him the third bedroom of their apartment, but still there were moments when that attractiveness caught up with him and stole his breath away.  It didn’t help that Severide was standing there buttoned up in his brand new dress blues, a far cry from his usual jeans and grease-stained t-shirts.
Casey swallowed roughly and took the two ends of the tie Severide was offering him, trying not to fumble as he tried to knot them together.  It was hard though, when he could feel Severide’s eyes on the side of his face, breath hitting his skin in warm puffs, making him realise how close they were standing.
“How’s it looking?” Severide said, voice much more alluring than it needed to be in Casey’s opinion.
“Uh,” Casey said, blinking stupidly, affected by Severide’s heady proximity.
The sudden appearance of Severide’s mother drew them apart and she clucked her tongue disapprovingly at the mess Casey had made of the tie.  Jenni Sheridan was an impressive woman, always in motion, and commanding despite her short stature.  She had Severide’s tie fixed in a matter of seconds, and only took a few more to tie Casey’s as well, before stepping back and fixing them both with a proud smile.
“You boys ready?” she asked, seemingly oblivious to the moment she’d just interrupted.

Our Week Scouted // August 29, 2019
Tumblr media
There’s a lot happening in our Blue Ridge jewel this week, from a new performance polo we’re excited about to tiny art, packing demos, sales, food and spirits. What more could you want? Read on to get the inside line on all of it.
LOVE: Have you guys heard about Rhoback? It’s a new Charlottesville-based company that puts out amazing performance polos, tees, and pullovers. The three founders (Matt Loftus, Kristina Loftus, Kevin Hubbard) live in Charlottesville, and two of them (Matt & Kristina) are recent graduates of The Darden School of Business, where they came up with Rhoback and built the brand. And you know we adore dogs, right? Well, Rhoback gets its name from the Rhodesian Ridgeback, a dog bred in Africa to hunt lions. The Ridgeback perpetually craves activity and has an unmistakable ridge that runs down its back. “Wearing the ridge on our back inspires us to always be ready for the next adventure,” the trio shared. “We needed a shirt that could transition seamlessly from one activity to the next. We never found that shirt, so we made it. We took our favorite designs and colors, mixed in the best performance fabrics, and made a top of the line set of shirts to fit our lifestyle and hopefully yours, too.” We know we’re huge fans and look forward to supporting and watching this great local business grow. Grab a POLO, TEE, or PULLOVER for yourself, and remember them when it comes to giving season!

He is really bringing Early Mountain’s program back to the mission of representing the Virginia Table, and that’s none the more evident than with the new menu he rolled out last week. Each dish is designed to complement Early Mountain’s wines while honoring the bounty around the region. Personally, we can’t wait to try the snapper crudo and pork belly, but really, it all looks amazing. Check out the complete menu here and make plans to head up to the winery to give it all a try. Keep your eyes peeled in an upcoming “Our Week Scouted” for their new wine releases.  Early Mountain Vineyards | 6109 Wolftown-Hood Road, Madison | 540.948.9005

Freshman Phenoms Fuel Sun Devil Squads
It’s hard to top the kind of start Sun Devil wrestler Zahid Valencia has had.
Consider that, as of January 25, Valencia has fashioned a match record of 27-0, with eight major decisions (tops in the Pac-12), eight pins (second in the Pac-12) and three technical falls (third in the Pac-12). The native of Bellflower, California is tied for the number one ranking at 174 lbs. in the first coaches’ panel rankings of the season, released on Jan. 20, used ultimately to determine seeing at the NCAA championships.
So how does Valencia’s freshman season compare to the freshman seasons of some of ASU’s most accomplished student-athletes? Let’s take a look (keeping in mind the NCAA declared freshman eligible in all sports beginning in 1972).
James Harden averaged 17.8 points per game in 2007-08, while leading the Pac-10 in steals. He was named First-Team All-Pac-10, and, not surprisingly, named to the Pac-10 All-Freshman team. The Devils advanced to the third round of the NIT in Harden’s first season.
Eddie House and Ike Diogu both earned Pac-10 All-Freshman honors, with Diogu being named 2003 Pac-10 Freshman of the Year.
Phil Mickelson’s freshman year with the ASU men’s golf team resulted in the first of his three individual NCAA Championships, as well as a first-team Ping All-America selection (Mickelson earned the honor each of his four years at ASU). His opening round at the NCAA’s was eye-popping. Playing at the Oaktree Country Club in Edmond, Oklahoma, Mickelson tamed the Pete Dye-designed course with a nine-under par 63. He finished the four rounds at 17-under 271.
Six different ASU women’s golfers were named all-America as freshman – Brandie Burton (1980), Emilee Klein (1993), Heather Bowie (1994), Kellee Booth (1995), Grace Park (1998) and Carlota Ciganda (2009).
Pitcher Dallas Escobedo led Arizona State softball to a National Championship in her freshman season. Her 37 wins were the second most in a single season in school history, while recording the fourth-most strikeouts in a season with 326. Her list of accolades included Women’s College World Series co-Most Outstanding Player, WCWS All-Tournament, First-Team All-America, NFCA All-Region, USA Softball Collegiate Pitcher of the Week, two-time Pac-10 Pitcher of the Week, First-Team All-Pac-10, Pac-10 All-Freshman and Pac-10 Freshman of the Year.
Krista Donneworth also was named Third-team All-America as a freshman in 2008 after hitting .354 with 15 home runs.
Barry Bonds was one of the most heralded freshman in the long history of Sun Devil Baseball, and his first year validated the attention. Bonds hit .306 for the year, with an OPS (on base plus slugging percentage) of .963. His 11 home runs, 16 stolen bases and 60 runs scored all set ASU freshman records. His 11th inning home run propelled ASU to a late-season win at UCLA, sparking the Devils to a run that took them to a 3rd place finish at the College World Series in Omaha. Bonds was named to the All-CWS team that year.
On the mound, Kendall Carter’s freshman season set plenty of records. Carter won 19 games, mostly in relief, and earned First-Team All-America status as the Devils won the 1981 National Championship.
Dustin Pedroia made an immediate impact as a shortstop at ASU, hitting a solid .347 as a freshman, earning all-Pac-10 and Freshman All-America honors while setting the ASU freshman record with 82 hits. He also hit .398 with runners in scoring position.
Kicker Zane Gonzalez’s freshman season was a prime reason the Sun Devils won the 2013 Pac-12 South Division title. In earning All-Pac-12 honors, Gonzalez led the conference in kick scoring, converting 25 of 30 field goal attempts (83.3%). He had a streak of 18 consecutive made field goals, tying the NCAA record for field goals made by a freshman in the process. His 1.7 field goals per game led the Pac-12, and he was nominated for the Lou Groza Award, given to the nation’s top collegiate placekicker (an award he won this year as a senior).
Tight End Zach Miller became the second Sun Devil to be named Pac-10 Freshman of the Year (the other being Terrell Suggs two years earlier) in 2004. Miller set ASU freshman receiving records with 56 catches for 552 yards. He earned Freshman All-America honors as well, leading ASU to a 9-3 record and a Sun Bowl win over Purdue.
During ASU’s 1977 National Championship Track and Field season, two freshmen, Tony Darden and Dannie Jackson earned First-Team All-America honors. Darden finished second in the 200 meters at the NCAA’s while Jackson placed fourth in the long jump. Dominique Malloy was named a First-Team All-American in 2008, as part of the third-place 4 X 400 relay team at the NCAA Women’s Indoor Championship.
In wrestling, Valencia is looking to match Marcus Mollica, who won the NCAA Championship competing at 158 pounds in 1993 as a freshman. Mollica also earned all-Pac-10 and First-Team All-American honors that year, and each of his four years with the Sun Devils.
Oh, and in case Zahid wants to compare notes with his head coach, Zeke Jones won the Pac-10 Championship in 1987 as a freshman competing at 118 pounds.
Now, let’s turn the tables – here’s some of the most famous names in Sun Devil Athletics who DIDN’T earn national or conference accolades as freshmen.
Jake Plummer – Started nine games for ASU in 1993, completed 51.3 % of his passes for 1,650 yards and nine touchdowns. By his senior year, Plummer was the Pac-12 Offensive Player of the Year, and led the Devils into the 1997 Rose Bowl.
Pat Tillman – While eventually earning Pac-10 Defensive Player of the Year honors in 1997, and eventually having the award named for him, Tillman recorded 10 tackles in 1994. His first collegiate play from scrimmage? A sack of California quarterback Dave Barr.
Lafayette Lever – The point guard for two ASU NCAA Tournament teams (1980, 81), Lever posted a 3.6 point, 1.8 assist average in 29 games in 1978-79. “Fat” would go on to lead the Devils in assists and steals each of the next three seasons, and in 2004 was voted into the Pac-10 Hall of Honor.
Alvin Davis – The sweet-swinging first baseman on ASU’s 1981 National Championship came off the bench as a freshman in 1979, playing behind Mike Ancich.
Christy Nore - While her name can be found in several categories in Sun Devil Volleyball’s career statistics lists, Nore did not earn national or conference honors in 1985.
What this should prove are two things – Arizona State has a long history of successful freshman student-athletes, and Zahid Valencia’s season is already among the best with two home matches remaining, including this Sunday against nationally-ranked Illinois. Then there’s the Pac-12 Championships in Palo Alto and the NCAA Championships in St. Louis. Considering the challenges freshmen face adjusting to life at a major university, and the time demands academically and athletically, Valencia has proven worthy of everything he has accomplished.
