The pan-fried banana is exploring his new digs!

This is very much an In Progress enclosure, but it had all the necessities met and Phineas has needed to move for a long time, so it’s plenty good for him to be in for now. His next door neighbor’s pothos is super overdue for a trim, so eventually I’ll root some of those cuttings and then add them in here. I want to get more curly woods and vines to interlock and make really intricate climbing spaces for him like Oort has since all my bps really enjoy them, but that will wait until i get more energy to set up Penelope I think.

He's so very very shy so I brought him downstairs to the couch to explore and get some enrichment. He wasn't sure about it at first but eventually started cruising around all over. My sweet little shy boy. So different from the colubrids that make up the rest of my bunch.

Spending 20 minutes wrestling a 3 foot ball python because it looked like his mouth was full of blood, he was a total monster about it (he was actually very well behaved, just uncooperative) and it was dirt. He had a mouthful of dirt.

Ominis is a Blue-Eyed Lucy Ball Python.... change my mind.

I called him Ominis & he unfurled, looked at me & stuck his tongue out for this great shot! 😂 Such a good boy & he's $300 at Adam's Pet Shop in Tulsa, Ok.

Too bad I couldn't take him home, but to whoever gets this glorious boy, take care of him. ♥︎

Day 6: The... 'Icing' Snake!

Ah, don't worry about that, it's just a bit of icing! Truly, this morph is just a little cinnamon roll (not to be confused with the sinnamon roll). Just a very sweet (pun quite intended) little python that makes for a wonderful companion.

Just, uh... don't feed it sweets, yeah? I know it's tempting, but it's probably best to just stick to frozen-thawed mice on this one. Trust me.

Everyone struggled except for cinnamon today, Apepi is still trying to wrap his single braincell around how to pick it up. I even pointed the nose at him with tongs, and he keeps booping it but not trying to eat it, running his nose all over it trying to find the right angle. Is this the "het clown" in action lmao

Phineas just had his first meal in his new enclosure and is soaking up the heat on his perch! Feeding him in this enclosure may be a challenge, I had to grab a tray as a shield and swap doors because he tried to launch out after the rat on the first attempt to get it inside. All my snakes are very excited about food ;_;

He has some stuck shed around his jaw/neck from a shed right before he moved enclosures and it’s too close to his head for him to let me pull it off even after soaking, so hopefully after adjusting to his new enclosure it will scrape off, or come away with his next shed.

I love her so much, that post shed glow is just beautiful (and it was probably the best shed she’s had with me in 3 years because for whatever reason even though all the conditions are right she’s just never been great at shedding)

Barley is technically “red merle” but we call him “mocha choca latte” colored ✨

In ball python terms I'd call him a "Super Cinnamon Shatter (pos het pied)"

Today after work I decided it was a good day to clean snake enclosures and decided to try to handle everyone too (which truth be told, I don't do as often as I would like).

In order (hopefully):

1 - Unnamed, new O. p. coxi male. I didn't hold him because he's brand new here, just checked in on him

2 - Bessie, snow Kenyan sand boa female. Starting to doubt the breeder about female, because she's only grown wider and not longer in ages (I'll recheck eventually). She's nippy in her house but such a sweet potato in hand.

3 - Butterball, butter berry corn snake female. She's an absolute glutton, hence her name lmao, but she's so so easy to handle she might be one of my favorites.

4 - Unnamed, Japanese blue ratsnake yearling female. I had her out, but she was trying so hard to climb up the hook and up my arms I couldn't get any photos while I was doing so, so ugly hatchling house photo instead.

5 - Cinnabar, Baird's ratsnake yearling female. One of my dream snakes and I'm so excited to continue watching her grow. Her color is already amazing in person compared to when I picked her up.

6 - Unnamed, banana champagne cinnamon ball python male. I didn't know champagne caused neurological issues like spider does when I bought him, but he has never had any obvious issue. He's so so different from the rest of the group it's almost odd picking him up (he's like a brick!). Absolute innocent angel baby.

7 - Unnamed ridleyi female yearling. She's usually endlessly snappy but after 7 or 8 tries she gave up trying to eat me. I still didn't handle her with my hands, though, as I didn't wanna push her too much.

8 - Barbara, Kenyan sand boa female. The gentlest, most floppy potato 💕 no words, she's perfect.

9 - Seviper, Mexican black kingsnake male. Honestly, I haven't held him in a hot minute because he was extremely musky and snappy when he was younger. He was, suddenly, incredibly easy to hold today. I thought he'd try and get me for sure, and he's my largest snake right now, but he just wanted to climb all over me! 💕

I need a better setup for photos. The reptile room is a disaster right now and the morning intense hazy sunlight did weird things to their colors. I truly don't know how breeders get such good photos all the time 🤣

Day 4: The Sunset Sinnamon Python!

This is one of the morphs we're most excited to announce! The Sunset Sinnamon python is perfect for all of your subtly spooky needs! Alongside being a less expensive alternative than its parent morph, this line of pythons is also perfect for those of you wanting a nice pet that looks completely normal! At first glance, anyway...

And yes, there are some minor reports this particular morph is of a more... devious nature, but worry not! It's just a sweet little sinnamon roll! I mean- cinnamon roll!
