Using the artist’s first name ‘Mohamed’ as a starting point, this exhibition explores the tension between reverence and the profane by creating a manifold portrait of Mohamed appropriated from Egyptian cinema.

Presented as part of the 2022 City of Yarra Exhibition Program.

MELBOURNE | This mural, which runs along the wall either side of where this photo ends, is at the Collingwood power substation at the corner of Easey Street and Wellington Street. 😁⁣ ⁣ It was organised by @juddyroller with the support of @citipowerpowercor, @cityofyarra, and The Neighbourhood Justice Centre. 💯⁣ ⁣ A lot of great artists got involved in this one. The background and portraits are by @askewone, the script by @mayonaize, and the photo realistic portraits by @r_o_n_e, @guy_maestri, and @adnate. 👏 ⁣ ⁣ I love it when property owners appreciate the value of good art, and engage and pay artists to enhance their properties. 👍⁣ ⁣ Do you agree that more property owners should commission street artists?
