recently, i’ve been going on a little lost-media hunt for “These Little Fluffy Secrets”, a 2013 Polish live-action short film based off the Clarissa comic “Stuffed Friend”. it’s been mentioned a few times on jason yungbluth’s blog, and used to live at this now-privated youtube link (archived 2013 version), and there are a few scattered mentions of it across the internet, but all of them only lead back to this dead youtube link with no alternate version or screenshots available.
i found the director’s instagram, so i’m going to send a message and see if i can get a copy, or at least figure out why it was taken down. it doesn’t seem like it’d be over a copyright dispute of any kind, since yungbluth seemed really proud of its existence, so hopefully that’ll make it easier to obtain. i’ll keep people updated.

If Patrick McDonnell can free Guard Dog after 30 years then Jason Yungbluth can finally have someone interfere in Clarissa's life and preferably de-limb her pervert scumbag father

not really into a lot of his stuff and i dont quite understand his politics or what he's satirizing 100% of the time but Jason Yungbluth's Clarissa comics have meant the world to me for a long time. partially because they're dark comedies, with jokes that I actually smile at or relate to. partially cuz i think he does a good job of writing Clarissa herself as someone who's both cynical and bitter AND still thinks using child logic cuz she IS a child. partially cuz i just really like the weird art style, and think the extreme and sometimes grotesque facial expressions are fitting, hahah.
i mean the weird racism stuff wasnt great but i think that only happened once so i just ignore it ok not everything i enjoy is perfect

Happy Halloween everyone!
A little fanart of Clarissa from a comic "Clarissa" (more specifically from a strip called "Clarissa Saves Halloween") by Jason Yungbluth! You can find the full comic at the official website of the author. Honestly, I'd love to recommend the comic for everyone to read, I'm just not sure how. It really isn't the easiest piece of media to digest, sure there are worse and more graphic comics that I've read, but Clarissa just felt... different. Just a heads up, the first strip "Clarissa Ruins Thanksgiving" is a little blunt and might give you a bad first impression, that the entire thing will be filled with this edgy, dark "humor", but please, atleast read the next strip or two ("Bathtime Fun" and "Stuffed Friend") and then decide if you want to continue. I feel like it'd be a responsible thing to do to give a tw list before someone goes out and reads it tho. (It's my first time making a tw, so if I goofed up, please tell me.) Comic TW: child abuse (sexual, mental, emotional), rape, mentions and brief showcases of self-harm, gaslighting, alcoholism, vomit

There is something strange about Clarissa. When her mother presents her with a toy rabbit she shows no reaction. Later he comes to life and tries everything to cheer her up - without success. Then the door to her nursery opens... . . Based on a story by Jason Yungbluth, produced at Stuttgart Media University in 2012 as a student's project. . . SCREENINGS German Television, November 2012 // 20th International Trickfilm Festival Stuttgart 2013 // International Short Film Festival Detmold (2013) // 19th Filmschau Baden-Württemberg (2013)

Clarissa (Introduction)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Daddy - A hardworking breadwinner and proud papa of a perfectly normal and well-adjusted American family. Just ask them.
Tumblr media
Mom - Mom is a contented homemaker juggling her responsibilities to three super kids and a doting hubby with the skill of a circus performer. “Let the past be the past” is the creedo this busy mother lives by and which she will share with you for seemingly no reason at all.
Tumblr media
Sean - A talented athlete and A-student who couldn’t be happier and more proud of his family. Sometimes in life things seem to go off the rails, but Sean knows this only means it’s time to try harder and impress the people who care about you!
Tumblr media
Randy - A natural joker and class clown, Randy’s levity is always a welcome contribution in his happy and well-adjusted family. If an uncomfortable situation arises, Randy knows that a smile and an upbeat attitude are the best way to push right through it.
Tumblr media
Clarissa - *Sigh.* Some people just can’t get with the program.

hi, i’m @clarissacrotty and i’m a traumaposting/recoveryposting blog themed around the clarissa comic by jason yungbluth. not affiliated with him or the comic. critical of the comic and its creator when necessary.
who are you?
not comfortable sharing my main blog, but i’m 20 yrs old and a survivor of child sexual abuse. to refer to me, you can call me clarissa and use she/her pronouns.
why clarissa?
clarissa is probably one of the best most honest representations of child sexual abuse i’ve seen in any form of media. it is definitely incredibly triggering and i do not suggest going into this comic lightly, especially if you are a survivor. however, the comic brings me a lot of comfort, because it makes me feel like someone understands what i went through from my point of view. so i decided to theme my blog where i post about my trauma around clarissa, because i relate to her in every way.
tag directory
#clarissa archive - every Clarissa comic (eventually) in one place. i post in chronological order, so the tag page is in reverse-chronological order. if you just want to read the comic without all my silly posts and commentary, go here.
#clarissa analysis - exactly what it sounds like: me analyzing and talking about different parts of the comic through the lens of someone who’s experienced csa.
#clarissa extras - any extra content of Clarissa that i can find floating around the internet.
#not clarissa - again, just what it sounds like: posts that are not clarissa-related. usually other trauma-related/healing posts i find relevant to my own life.
every comic has its own tag for content related to it (e.g. #stuffed friend), and every character has their own tag under their name for comics they appear in (e.g. #daddy crotty). every post is also trigger-tagged with its specific triggers, as well as a list of them before the triggering content, so you shouldn’t have to see anything you don’t want to.
my dni is below. i obviously can’t stop you from reading clarissa somewhere else (it’s not even my comic), but you can’t do it here. or at least don’t let me catch sight of you doing it. stay in the shadows where you creeps belong.
