Alright let's recap, so she:

Was drafted into a war she could not understand from the moment she was born, literally the moment, it's said she came out actively fighting

Is one of the most decorated veterans of that war so she definitely did a bunch of unspeakable things

Loses the war and her Diamond, the person she was literally created to serve, was killed and she had to be re-assigned to Yellow

Has to go back to Earth for a dumbshit assignment 5000 years later and ends up having some random Lapis Lazuli torture her under the sea for months

She manages to escape, tries to re-form the only social structure she understands which is an army, gets corrupted, poofed & bubbled for it

Not to mention trying to replicate that horrible abusive situation and forming a major fusion complex

Gets restored and now the Diamonds don't give a shit about her Purpose. She's alone in her little propaganda world

Dwells alone in the woods from then on, spending all her time trying to physically destroy as much of the hated planet she's stuck on as possible

Starts training Steven, probably the only person who can approach her power level, and he shatters her.

MIRACULOUSLY GETS RESURRECTED AND FINALLY HAS SOMEONE WHO IS WORTHY OF HER RESPECT!!! SURELY THIS WILL GO WELL AND SHE'LL BE ABLE TO LIVE LIFE THE ONLY WAY THAT MAKES SENSE TO HER

Nope he tells her to fuck off right away and leaves her completely adrift

AND NONE OF THIS GETS RESOLVED BY THE WAY! The last time we see her she's still trying to replicate the patterns of behavior that caused her trauma! She never even meets Lapis again! Both Jasper and Lapis are extremely fucked up by what happened and nothing even comes of it. Alone at Sea is the best we get and it's not exactly a satisfying conclusion to the pretty intense trauma that they went through. Lapis is definitely doing better and managed to shack up with a QPP but man, Jasper is fucked up forever huh?
