so tonight I've heard Blue Rhapsody for the first time live on stage and I'm just. it's sooo good.
Some of my thoughts
I've never thought about how many different instruments (brass, wind, and percussion) you need to play Gershwin
also, did you ever think how much of the piece is an actual piano solo? because I sure didn't
the 23 y.o. conductor has apparently just won an international conducting competition; imho he did good, paid a lot of attention to different soloists
the pianist was definitely chaotic evil. couldn't sit still for five seconds. I'm also convinced he's a drama queen and did most of his silent pa-pa-ra-pa mouthing just for the audience's sake. he possibly added half of the rubatos for fun
the concertmaster honestly looked like Martin Freeman in Sherlock BBC and I've only seen that today
On another note, I loved the Cuban Ouverture (the energy) and enjoyed listening to De Falla's The Three-Cornered Hat, Suites No. 1&2 for the first time (kudos to the conductor for doing it from memory)

Hey hey hey! Hope you're exams are going well, friend!
If this counts as a request you have full permission, seriously no harm done, to just ignore this BUT-
What do you reckon (any) of the bots would think about humans that play more classsical instruments? We've seen them react to music before but it was mainly synth or rock (MIKO XD). I know different things will appeal to different bots but I still NEEEED an over-romantasized violin/guitar seranade. (Also I play flute so I've been comntemplating whether or not I'd get told to shut up or not XD)
Absolutely sorry about the late response I was bombarded with exam review so rjekfkwkdmem but omg I would think the older bots would LOVE IT Optimus would find the melody lovely and at times, depressing at the more melancholic ones. Ultra Magnus...yeah I don't think he likes music at all 💀💀💀. He'll probably give you a weird look and go off about rules and regulations and about how music distracts you from work.
Ratchet isn't a music lover much, that pragmatic old bot, but he could admit it's soothing to the ears and it quite calms him down after he blows a fuse.
Though, he'd defn would tell you to shut up if he's on edge working on a particularly complex equation. (Would be so funny if you go around with your flute to purposely piss him off and ratchet is trying NOT to smack you into oblivion because Optimus quite adores that instrument).
Tarn would love classical music (💀), Rung, maybe idw Megatron too. Tarn would probably hold you hostage to play for him. (Pharma, too.)
^^ Some of the bots that I would think really like classical. Prowl..... Definitely not.

I am the product of my ancestors
From my mother, I got my hair color, my understated genius, my enjoyment of good food, fine arts, classsical music, ballet, the written word, homesteading and various handicrafts, and my tendencies to splurge, overindulge and to love with dark intensity.
From my father, I got my charm, my eloquence, my willingness to take risks, my entrepreneurialism, my impulsivity and lack of patience, my slight delusions of grandeur, and my criminal tendencies.
From my grandma H., I got my eye color, my slight stoicism, my dark and sarcastic sense of humor, my tendency to hold on to memories and hoard books and memorabilia, and my ability to bear difficult things.
From my grandpa H., I got my talent for learning foreign languages.
(From my step-grandfather K., I got my interest in history, economics and politics - especially history.)
From uncle W., I got my enthusiasm for traveling, my deep desire to discover as many countries, people and cultures as possible, my free spirit, and my slight mental instability.
From my grandma B., I got the shape of my eyes, my nose, the shape of my face, my possessive tendencies and my snarky nature.
From my grandpa F., I got my unshakeable optimism and belief in myself, the feeling that I am generally a lucky person, my sentimentality and crybaby nature, my open-mindedness and impartiality and my tendency to give everything for my loved ones and to put up with even their worst abominations.
From my great-grandma H., I got my artistic spirit, the Italian language, and my love of the unusual.
From my great aunt A., I got my tendency to fall for abusive men.
