Alpha Silas Claymore

The book shook in my hands, the presence behind me was right over my shoulder now, reading word for word what I had read.   

I felt a hand drape on my shoulder, as Darren turned me around to face him.

"We should go talk to Jeremy and find out what all this is about."   

I nodded my head robotically, letting Darren pull me along by my hand as I clutched the book in the other.   

I was so far in my daze that I hadn't realized our fingers were interlocked or that he was he one who had done it.   

Lucky for us Jeremy was at home and when he saw us, he practically ran to me.  

"Alpha Silas what's the matter."   

Before I could start talking, Darren started to relay what had happened.

Starting from the message on my cell-phone, that he could apparently hear since I played it a good five time, to the journal and my fathers words, conveniently skipping the part where my father and his used to sleep together.   

Jeremy sat us down on the sofa in his house and we sat across from him.   

"Silas, I made a promise to my best-friend to keep these secrets, until they needed to be told and I don't feel as if they need to be told, just yet," Jeremy said calmly.

I felt rage bubbling in my throat.   

"My brother has run away and I don't know why? But this diary on his desk, so I think it has something to do with Simon's departure. I think this is 'a good a time as any' for your secrets to be told."

He nodded his head and then let out a sigh.   

"There was a war back then and still to this day it wages on in the side lines. A war of Werewolves and Shifters. Shifters think Werewolves weak, for the fact we can only turn to one form. The war is hundreds, maybe thousand of years old. It stared with a set of twins, Tobias and Tabitha."

"Their father was a Werewolf but their mother was a Shifter. So from that day on, Tobias became a Shifter and his twin Sister became the Werewolf. Tabitha was a great woman, a loving soul and a caring mother but Tobias was hateful and mean, doing everything he could to slow his twin down and to belittle her."

"Finally she had had enough and fought back. There was blood and tears. He killed her children and she killed his mate. Their parents, not able to handle the shame of their children's war, both committed suicide. Finally, many years later, a truce was called, a young Vampire by the name of Lilith had had enough as well of the Twins childish banter. Werewolves were to stay on one side of the world and the Shifters were to stay on the another."

"For many years that rule was abided by but of course things happen and people move but the bad blood still lingered. That is why Rodrick and Marshall had to hide their relationship. Samantha agreed to help them cover their secret. Rodrick and Samantha, for the sake of the pack, had one night together and that was the night that you were conceived, Silas."  

"What about Simon and Raylin?" I asked, my voice shaking.   

"When you were a baby Marshall's older brother, Charles, found out about the affair. He forced Marshall to conceive with a shifter. Annabella died in childbirth. Marshall had plans on running away after the child was born but then she died and he had to care for the baby. So he ran here. To Rodrick and of course Rodrick took in baby Simon, no problem. Then Marshall left, with the promise of keeping in touch. He went into hiding from his brother, Charles. And Raylin? Well, she is not my story to tell... that you will have to find out from her."  

"What about the abuse. If Simon is the child of Rodrick's mate why did he..."   

"Rodrick had lost his mind, Silas. Being away from one's mate, does nasty things to the mind of a werewolf. He never laid a hand on your brother though. He may have been scary and yelled but he never lay a hand on him. He couldn't and wouldn't have done that. Not to Simon and defiantly not to Marshall."   

I put my head in my hands trying to understand all that I was hearing.

I felt a hand rub my back gently, I heaved a sigh and looked up to Jeremy, meeting his black eyes.   

"Where is Marshall now?" I asked, trying to calm my shaking hands.   

"He died. He was killed, a week before your father killed himself."

'Stunned.'

Stunned was the word that flew into my brain.

Why was I only hearing this now?

Were they waiting for Charles to come here and tell me this himself?

Where they waiting for me to let my guard down?   

"Why now? Why am I only hearing this now?"   

"Simon was suppose to tell you before any of this happened but he couldn't. He stopped by here, before he left. He told me that there was never the right time. Silas, I'm so sorry. If only I had known sooner...." he shook his head.   

I didn't blame Simon, I could understand, he was scared.

The man that had chased his biological father down and most likely had killed him was on his way here and was most likely coming here for him.   

My body shook thinking about it, my baby brother, out there, by himself, alone.

I stood up from where I sat and squared my shoulders.   

I wasn't going to let this drag me down.

I was going to face this situation head on.

I was going to face Charles head on.

For Simon and Marshall, for my father and for Star.

I had to, for all of them.

Oh boy I’ve never really talked about them before but okay (I’m in the middle of reworking all their semblances and weapons so I don’t have much information about those)

Team TIGR (tiger)

Tabitha “Tabby” Ilios is the team leader. She’s fairly tall, sun bleached light brown hair, tan skin (think every California beach volleyball player stereotype ever + a mess of freckles and you have her). Her eyes are a shade somewhere between honey and amber and she’s usually smiling. She’s pretty down to earth and takes more of a realistic approach to everything, including the consequences of hurting her team or her friends. She was a little insecure about being a team leader when they were at Beacon, but that’s mostly passed now. Her color scheme includes a lot of yellow and tawny. Her weapon is a mechanized bull whip called Sun Spot, and her semblance is Solar Flare, which allows Tabby to create flashes of blinding light somewhat like a flash grenade. She usually channels it through her whip.

Even though Tabby’s theme is the Sun, Indy Lamia is TIGR’s ball of sunshine. She is smol, has gold blonde hair and blue eyes, is a dog Faunus with a tail that matches her hair color (think golden retriever), and is the love of Tabby’s life. She’s fairly more optimistic than Tabby, and sometimes acts more naive than she actually is. She just wants to see the best in everyone. Her color scheme is indigo and dark blue, and her weapon and semblance are still up for debate because she moves so fast it’s hard to get a read on her fighting style and what she would work best with.

Galvyn Washburn is the heavy hitter of the team. His weapon is pretty much just a grenade launcher that lets him lob different combinations of dust bombs at enemies. He’s real big on explosions, which can come in handy on missions... but not so much when the team is bored and itching for something to do. He knows his way around dust really well (mostly through his experimentation on which combinations make the biggest explosions) and helped his team re-work parts of their weapons to use the kinds of dust that would benefit their semblances and fighting styles the most. He’s the tallest on the team (you really can’t miss him), moss green hair, broad shoulders, green eyes. His color scheme is browns and greens, and his semblance is also a wip.

Rafer Raedwolf acts like he’s cool (and has most people fooled) but he’s honestly a huge nerd who cracks jokes when only his team is in earshot. He’s usually quiet otherwise. His weapon is a claymore sword with a red blade (I haven’t got more than that with his weapon, and nothing with his semblance, like I said this team is mid-redesign). His color scheme is red, and he has dark brown hair and red eyes. Oh he also has a thin scar across his nose and left cheek.

The name Tabitha translates to gazelle, a symbol of grace and beauty, in Aramaic. Those given the name Tabitha are said to excel in "analyzing, understand and learning ... Because they live so much in the mind, they tend to be quiet and introspective" (x). 

According to Kabalarian Philosophy, the one named Tabitha possesses sensitive, creative and idealistic qualities. They desire harmony and refinement in their environment as well as personal associations. Although mentally quick and intuitive in regard to others, the one named Tabitha experiences a lack of fluency in verbal expression. While they appear calm, they may inwardly suffer from tension, which may result in episodes of self-pity, depression, or avoidance. A lack of confidence in Tabithas requires the encouragement, support and leadership of others. 

In the New Testament, a widow known for her virtue and generosity is known as St. Tabitha (Dorcas in Greek). She passed away abruptly due to illness, only to be revived by the urgent prayers of St. Peter, completely healed.

Really old fic. But probably one of the earliest bored-in-the-north-snowball-fight fics. Everyone gets involved, and since this writer likes Cynthia, she’s one of the main characters dunking snow at everyone.

(Written when Yagi had stalled on Claymore, and all we had was a seven-year timeskip and seven ghosts).
