my dark secret is that I don’t care about breeds being kept to a strict standard. so long as they’re healthy and well-suited for their purpose (which in cats and most dogs is just companionship), I’m not opposed. when breeders chase exaggerated traits, the problem for me isn’t that it’s off standard, it’s more that a) closely breeding for an extreme trait can result in a loss of genetic diversity, with all the health problems that entails, b) extremely exaggerated traits can be inherently harmful to the animal, c) exaggerated traits can get in the way of the animal being an animal and doing animal things

I wasn't gonna post anything from this one bc it's so close to being done I might just post it within a day or two (no promises tho lol) but I'm loving it so much and I can't resist posting a snippet haha

so here's a bit of my 7x06 tommy's pov fic!

(...) “my sister finally married the love of her life,” a kiss to Tommy’s chin, then another, and one more, and Tommy laughs again. “And I,” Evan grins against Tommy’s lips as he kisses him again, “I have a really hot date to her wedding.”

“Yeah, straight out of a fire.” Tommy smirks and bumps their noses together, and Evan laughs, Tommy drinking in the adorable sound. It all feels- it feels intimate, familiar, more than it should be at this stage.

“Mhm, even hotter now.” he leaves one more kiss on Tommy’s lips. “And I’m just- I’m really happy you’re here, Tommy.” Evan pulls away, this time enough to look into Tommy’s eyes, his own shining excitedly, face softening, as he whispers, with something like awe in his voice, “You made it.”

“Of course.” Tommy answers earnestly, feeling a fond smile pull at his own lips, his chest swelling at the look Evan gives him, something so affectionate and wonderstruck – he doesn’t think anyone has ever looked at him like this. It could be overwhelming, if he didn’t feel the exact same way. “We had a date.”

Oh, my best friend and I also talked about the unexpected glimpse of the Rancor keeper's grief in ROTJ. I was like, "even a monster can be loved by someone" and we're just ... oh.

Deliberate or not, it's very suitable for ROTJ!

So when I was a kid my family moved from America to a major city in China , and was able to get a copy of Super Paper Mario for cheap there but I didn't know until I played it that it was entirely in Mandarin, which I didn't know. This wasn't too much of a problem (I was 8 so reading a bunch of text wasn't exactly a deal breaker) until Chapter 1-3, because I couldn't figure out the "Find ye the tall red palm tree of fortune, and leapeth under its branches ten times" because it was entirely in Chinese. To this day I have not beaten Super Paper Mario in any language.

Out of nothing else to do I'd collect all the Bald Clefts in the level and put them between the two rocks above and just watch them hang out. I don't know why but I really liked these guys, especially since I could jump on them and they wouldn't get hurt. I'd try to hang out with them but if one of them hit me I'd pick it up and throw it upside down for a bit so it'd be in 'time out.' I did this on multiple occasions, and remember enjoying it.

Dean gets really into wearing utili kilts post canon and has a bunch of them he wears around a lot. Sam makes a homophobic comment (as he is wont to do & everyone forgets) about Dean wearing skirts. So Dean is starting to launch into a whole spiel about manly Scots wearing kilts and William Wallace etc etc when Cas walks in and just immediately shoves a hand up the back of Dean's kilt, causing him to go bright red and then even redder when Cas says he appreciates the authenticity.

Sam is confused why Dean isn't telling Cas to take his hand out from under his skirt, but then again Cas has always been really weird. So he just wanders off to make himself a green drink and listen to the next installment of one of his true crime podcasts and doesn't really give it much thought.

Dean and Cas have been together for months and think Sam knows.

Sam does not know.
