This portrait took me almost a week to finish, but I had a lot of fun working on this. I'm both glad and kinda sad it's finished already.

Surprisingly the hardest part to draw is that damned phone cord and it's many coils.

Swiss's kisses are breathtaking, to say the least. You'd think him to be an air ghoul if you didn't know better, with how he seems to suck the air straight from your lungs every time.

You’re waiting at your agreed meeting location, in the shade of a large tree just beside the chapel. Copia’s nervous voice rings out of the building, sounding like his sermon is close to the ending. Nervous, yes, but still strong enough to be heard all throughout the building.

Attending Copia’s sermons isn’t mandatory for anyone but the ghouls and ghoulettes, knowing that if it wasn’t, most of them would never show up.

And so you wait, rocking back and forth on your heels impatiently.

When dozens of shoes start clicking upon the dark marble of the floor, you stand up straight, realizing that Copia has stopped talking. Your hands pat down your uniform and hair, hoping to look at least presentable after having rushed through the tasks that gave you a good excuse to miss the sermon.

A bug-eyed helmet peeks around the corner, looking straight at you, and by the roguish flash of white teeth against dark skin, you know exactly who it is.

You raise your hand in greeting, smiling wide as Swiss walks closer with powerful, resolute steps, smile seemingly glued on his face. He doesn’t wave back but you know it’s not out of malice, by that shit-eating grin, you know he’s got something nefarious cooking up in that fast-moving brain of his.

He doesn’t even take a second to settle his forward momentum once he reaches you, he simply grabs your face in between his large hands and brings his lips down on yours, harsher than he expected to. You almost stumble back with the force of it, before one of his hands dip around your waist to secure you against his hard body. The dips and planes of which you can feel starkly clear against your own uniformed body.

Even as you attempt to gasp from the surprise of it all, he doesn’t let up, not for a second. His lips stay sealed over yours as his split tongue slips into your mouth. Your hands clutch his shirt tightly, feeling overwhelmed by how he seems to be trying to suck your soul out of you.

“Don’t be too rough on ‘em, Swiss! They’re only human,” Shouts Aether suddenly, probably noticing that the kiss had gone on for a bit too long.

Swiss’ hands return to framing your face as he pulls himself back from your lips, seemingly with great effort, to look deep into your eyes as you both pant against each other’s skin. He pays the older ghoul’s warning no mind, cheshire grin returning as he gazes at you with eyes full of love and fondness. Or maybe it’s something else, it’s hard to tell with the helmet on.

“I missed you~.” He sings softly, rubbing the tip of your nose up with his, before dipping back for more kisses, these ones quick and loud. The last of which he lets linger, before pulling back with his eyes closed, hands sliding down your face to hold your neck in a grasp that nearly covers it with how big his hands are, “Satan, I missed you so much.”

“You saw me this morning. We woke up together.” You remind him playfully, lightly stroking the hair at the back of his neck, not covered by his helmet.

“Don’t care, too long.” Swiss complains equally as playfully, before his lips touch yours once more with the pleased sigh of a ghoul who has it all.

The Abyssal, Morana, before and after imprisonment.

I used this opportunity to also tweak Morana’s original look (the before) a bit—in regards to her veil and ‘crown’. The original had my attempt at a liquid gold, floating ‘crown’, but decided a shadow one would suit her better. Because, you know…😅😅😅

So, before she used to freely show off skin—but after imprisonment she wanted to cover-up because of her horrible scars from the chains, but left her chest open to display both the scar on her chest (as a metaphor for her wounded heart) and the missing sunstone she used to wear religiously.

Her hair grew ridiculously long, and she hardly takes care of it now (often just leaving it down to drag across the ground), but don’t worry—I’m sure a certain red-head will attempt to fix that 😉

She still loves Sol, but is too angry and bitter to fully acknowledge it; and now she makes a point to try and avoid sunlight as much as possible, often traveling in the shadows or at night with the moon and starts covered by clouds.

She has 3 kids with Sol, who’re in the process of being created:

Deirdre: God of Funeral Rites and Melancholic Thoughts

Lorelei: Goddess of Decay and Sentimental Feelings

Ahriman: God of Fallen Warriors and Disaster

I wanted them to have some blended forms of both Life and Death in their Titles/powers.

D: has more emphasis on death and the feelings that usually come after the passing of a loved one.

L: associated with fungi and the process in decay, helping new life to come afterwards—along with the feeling of thoughts/objects/people that bring good (or bittersweet) thoughts/memories from the past (to either sooth or not).

A: the twins hate him—because he follows them from battlefield to battlefield, reminding them of his mother. Associated with those who died in battle, and the disaster that often follows War and bloody battles; he represents the Grim reminder of the cost of war, of what was sacrificed to achieve victory.

Watched the first two episodes of LEGO DreamZzz: LOVED IT!!!

I just caught up with the latest season of Ninjago to prepare for the next era (Dragon Rising, ANYTHING IS BETTER IF YOU ADD MORE DRAGONS 😍), then I noticed this new LEGO show and I went for it. I watched the trailer some time ago and it genuinely didn’t click for me, the show didn’t seem all that...

I know the full season should be out on Netflix, which I have, but I’m following the release from the LEGO Youtube channel so I can pace myself... for, like, the first time in my life 😅

I like doing these thoughts diaries so I might do it for the following episodes as well. Obviously SPOILERS for people who didn’t watch it!

So... THOUGHTS ON "AWAKENING" AND "DREAM CHASERS" GO!

I know it’s a little thing but I’m a huge fan of Giles Panton, I followed him through all of Nexo Knights and his villain role in Ninjago, so even with a little role I’m ecstatic to hear him! 😍😍😍

Also this character is curious to me, who was he? Why did he appear specifically in Mateo and Izzy’s room?

Love the little conflictual situation, they’re middle school children so only fair to see a bit of that. It seems that Cooper got a new friend who’s a bit of a jerk, Mateo got defensive because of that, Logan clearly isn’t super used to have polite people around him, Cooper just wants everyone to get along... like, this seems like such a middle/high school situation, it makes me appreciate their age more 👌

This whole show reminds me a lot of Nexo Knights, but with better animation and attention to details for the background and characters. It feels like going back home a bit in that sense, since I was absolutely obsessed with NK and this is very fantasy-like, but I’m genuinely curious to see where this show is heading to 🤩🤩

Hi it’s been awhile since I’ve last posted anything, just letting everyone know that I’m not dead lol. 😅

I’ve been busy with finishing art requests on amino it took me about a month now, and a art request here on tumblr but since then i took some time off on creating art and just been relaxing in the past few weeks.

This *Past* Week In "Time & Again" #16: Preps For Something Big (And Unknown)

In regard to "Time & Again", the last week was... rather odd. One might possibly say it was somewhat uneventful, but that's not really true. In fact, it was SO EVENTFUL that I'm a little agitated right now. Or maybe "agitated" is not the right word. The writer/editor in me, sadly and to my shame, is failing to put it properly into words now to make it descriptive enough.

The most important thing is that little stuff here and there in Chapter 5 has been improved, altered (where needed) and fixed. So now it looks even better. For example, I recoloured a whole set of speech bubbles in Inkscape to make certain that the readers understand it easier to whom the certain lines belong to. As I worked on that particular improvement, I learnt a new trick yet again. I really like it how the newer interface in the latest versions of Inkscape works comparing to, say, that from the version 0.92 that I used when I only started to learn vector software. It makes everything much easier and allows to swap certain things in a matter of a few clicks (but also including a few minutes of swearing because I didn't realize that I was hitting the wrong buttons to begin with - that's how it sometimes goes for me 😅… but dis ok, everybody is learning, right?!). That goes for swapping gradients on the go, as well. I learnt that one can just import another SVG file that had extra gradients into another one to make extra pre-made gradients available in the list for an easy colour swap - and I needed that because I had to use the exact same colours for certain speech bubbles. I could've used a colour picker, of course, to take the colours from an already complete page... but I'd say swapping the gradient colours from a dropdown list is easier and hassle-free. I like that.

(those two pictures above are the examples of what I did, taken from one page: those are the straight exports of the speech bubbles from Inkscape. To the left, that's an old version, and to the right that's an updated new version as it is going to appear in the final release)

I also checked all the text again to make sure that I never missed anything that needed to be italicized (further reading on how I improved my font and created an italic version of it is in my previous post). Fonts are important in my story. Whenever something is highlighted in the text, be it through the formatting or via additional decorative effects - that MEANS certain something. The change of the font itself is also significant. Little details like that make me happy, and I love to see how meticulous the other artists can be when it comes to the little details like that. In my opinion, in art every little detail has a certain meaning, has an impact on the story and/or how it's perceived by the readers. So, in short, everything is important. It might be a hint of sorts, after all.

I even mused ahead, and not only I took extra notes on important monologues/dialogues for Chapter 6 that I'll start working on later this year (approximately in summer), but I also brainstormed the whole idea of "Time & Again" all over and came up with the certain concepts for the very distant story elements, even in regard to Chapter 8. I got ways to go, but it's never wrong to fantasize and refine what you've already had in your mind for the future 😉.

I am patiently waiting, enjoying my nice cup of Earl Grey tea in my apartment on this snowstormy day (yep, we are suddenly snow buried), as my editor gives the chapter a second read for further refinement. I'm very content about how it's going.

And I'm slowly setting up a page for Chapter 5 on my Itch.io - I'm gradually, resolutely getting there.

That's practically all I've done for the story itself within the last 7 days or so.

Majority of my incredible effort lately has been put into something else though.

And here's some important news: I've been trying to prepare for the two grand adventures that potentially await me in May. But - funny how it often happens this way in life, innit? - realistically speaking, only one of these adventures is going to take place in my life, for they are mutually exclusive. There is simply no way to combine them. It's either/or - no options in between. Therefore, knowing in advance that I put double the effort, only half of which will potentially pay off, it makes my life right now pretty fun, no doubt about it. But this is something that absolutely has to be done.

One of those endeavours is artistic - and another one has a great life importance to me. The artistic one though requires A LOT of preparation and a certain financial investment, too. Unfortunately, where it all stands right now, due to the time limitations, I am terribly restricted in my options. This is why I'm virtually trying to do a tribal dance with a tambourine in my right hand, twirling around the dining table, singing incomprehensible impromptu songs in all the languages I remotely speak in (hopefully not futile) attempts to draw a certain positive outcome closer to me. And trust me on that: this is not an easy task. I foresee myself looking like a sun-dried prune once the hassle is over.

You know, in videogames, I view RNG as some kind of a nuisance. It might be nice at times, but, being a fan of games where I have full control over everything I do, I cannot appreciate RNG very much. I like to be responsible about my own actions, and I want to know when I screw up or succeed, so that I could make adjustments to my actions accordingly. All this "RNG a.k.a. gambling, bro!" makes me cringe. In cases like that, I always feel like AI just hates me, LOL. Never have I been very lucky in small life events either... well, except for that one time, or maybe two at best. Well, if interpreting having blue jays at my balcony feeder as "a lucky event", then I'd say three. Yup.

Closer to May, aside from Chapter 5 release, hopefully! - I will make an announcement about if I rolled 20 for realsies and what The Real Life RNG is gonna present me - because the choice between the two possible routes does not depend on me. So we'll have to go from that. It's also fair to mention one of these routes potentially leads to me going radio silent (blog silent?.. internet silent?..) for a month. Which means no updates on the state of "Time & Again" for a while.

But enough of babbling for now, otherwise I turn into Edgar - who babbles all the time (according to Lothar anyway). That was another one not-really-to-the-point post. I had plenty of those many years ago 😁

Chapter 18 - Part 2

So...! Affluent Yurt! Idk seems pretty dingy to me. Also if this looks like one giant room, that’s because it is.

Oh dear god oh f*ck the Sableye found us again!!

Only a few things to talk about, really:

I did need to reset once after a nasty Monster House + Agility + Draco Meteor combo. (What is it with Draco Meteor in this run?)

You can apparently hit Ghost types hiding in the wall with Rare Fossils lol

That said, Rare Fossils did not always spare me the mercy of Normal form Rotom, who hits surprisingly hard with flying type moves.

Rotom just before OHKOing Teresa with Sky Attack:

(Side note but I first saw this video on a post about Trump getting Corona and it made me laugh my ass off for DAYS.)

This was a tough decision at first ngl. Sleep can be useful in some cases. The move has a little more PP than Smokescreen. And I’m pretty sure we go straight to the Hidden Land Precious Butte from here, so I better be darn sure about what moves I choose to keep.

Then I took one look at the accuracy for Sleep Powder and laughed it off. Four stars versus eight? Bye bye!

Speaking of... Tropius almost never needed to attack, so I have no idea what his moveset was. All I saw was one failed Last Resort.

On to the next scene!

I also like how the placement of Gastrodon makes him seem like he’s a part of the team (and not just an unwilling observer lol).

Wealthy Shore... Wealthy... Shore... I swear that sounds familiar, but I looked at all our previous dungeons and the name doesn’t show up anywhere. It’s very possible I’ve had a Magnagate dungeon named this in GTI? That’s the only explanation I can come up with.

In any case, this section was only 5 floors and I (thankfully) had no trouble breezing right through it.

I dunno if I focused on a different spot of the picture or what, but for this scene some of these shots have drastically different lighting/saturation. I hope the inconsistency isn’t too distracting...

This is on you, mate. You do a bad job of spying on the guild reconnaissance.

Well, we’re good guys in a video game, so we kind of have to care about you. Unfortunately.

But then suddenly, redemption moment!

Actually, this added dialogue happened earlier, but my shot didn’t wind up looking too good... and this seemed like a natural place to put it instead!

...And then we never see them again.

Which is honestly kind of a shame? It would’ve been nice to have some resolution here. And maybe some groveling from Team Skull because you end up saving the world 😏 (I say like they’d ever do that...)

All joking aside though... this was definitely a missed opportunity.

And a little messed up? Because until Super Mystery Dungeon, for all you know they end up dying in the cave. Talk about dark.
