Cioppino our (former :( ) clinic cat! The skin on her abdomen was open and not healing, and didn't seem to respond to light therapy and/or betadine soaked gauze. She was very sweet but understandably got yowly when giving her treatment. Her owners left her at the clinic later last year probably because of financial reasons (this was before I started working here) but recently came to pick her up when we were able to contact them. She was certainly a very good emotional support and destresser when things got busy.

Timmy the Clinic Cat
I took in Matey for his FIV/FeLV test (both negative, hooray!) and I got to meet Timmy the clinic cat! He is a beautiful absolute unit of a cat. He's probably close to 20 lbs of muscle and floof!

I’ve seen other clinics or people who do fostering talk about how they have a cat who just LOVES kittens. But I think it’s important for you guys to know that our clinic cat wants to beat up babies so bad. My theory is that he holds a grudge against all babies bc he got his ass kicked by a kitten one time

What’re Pangur and Grim like at the vet? Do they try to befriend the vet or hate them?
Grim has changed, which makes me really sad. the vet used to have a hard time listening to her heart, because she'd be purring so loudly and head-bumping their hand.
a couple years ago, she went in for surgery to get a potentially cancerous lump cut off her head, and since then she's acted extremely fearful at the vet. it's hard now to get her out of the carrier.
Pangur, on the other hand, has never changed. she scream-meows nonstop, tries to climb me (hooking her claws into my clothing), and generally does her best to resist anything done to her.

I talk to the clinic cat, and not in words. She doesn’t really meow but she does these little squeaks and chirps and I mimic them back to her and I just know my coworker thinks I’m crazy!
