the second i saw the temple mural in rebels i knew i had to do this
[Image ID: A mural-style drawing of Anakin, Obi-Wan and Ahsoka styled after the mural of the Mortis gods seen in Rebels. Ahsoka is on the right in her white robe and carrying her scepter, a morai perched on her shoulder. Obi wan is in the middle in his Jedi robes, one hand raised. The Jedi Order symbol is behind his head. Anakin stands on the right, with one half of his face obscured by his Darth Vader mask. His hand is clenched into a fist.]
Version without noise (along with me ranting about couple details I'm way too proud of) under the cut:
The beams of light are emanating from the Jedi Order symbol for Obi-Wan, but for Anakin and Ahsoka they are centred on Obi-Wan's heart
The beams emanating from Obi-Wan all reach the edge of the canvas, but for Anakin and Ahsoka some are incomplete
The colours circling their hands are indicative of their lightsaber colours
The light circling Anakin's hand is tinged blue in Obi-Wan's direction
The light circling Ahsoka's hand is primarily white, but tinged in green, and tinged blue in Anakin's direction
So I recently saw a post with a screencap of this scene in it:
And good heavens. Is this not a perfect visual metaphor of Obi-Wan's role in the entire Star Wars universe? Supporting the wounded Light, unable to stop her from dying, but still steadfastly good and patient up to and through the darkest hour, waiting (though he doesn't know it, yet) for that Light to be reborn in a padawan?
is not a dead person. This is a character who has been cursed by the Dark Side.
You can't bring people back to life. That's a fact. The Light can't do that. It goes against the order of nature. You can't heal death.
No one says she's dead. It would be worth mentioning tho. Anakin asks if the Father can "help" her and he tells him it's impossible because "The Dark Side shall consume her". Maybe it's bc English is not my native language (obv) but I'm sure in the future tense. So she's not dead.
And since Anakin remembers this moment, it's even more unlikely that it's a resurrection rather than a healing/exorcism. If he's seen a resurrection before, he'll be looking to what he's seen, especially since it's from the Light Side of the Force, not its opposite. Anakin would be going for what he's seen and knows has worked before, rather than Palpatine's promises, which also require him to sacrifice stuff.
Plus, it would go against Jedi moral. In the episode "Weapons Factory" (ep1 s2), Luminara tries to make Anakin understand that he must be prepared if one day, his Padawan were to die. She is portrayed as being right, but if in another episode, Ahsoka dies and Anakin resurrects her, it ruins that moral. It ruins the moral of Star Wars.
fan made visual novel where the reader is the new chancellor of the republic after sidious dies under mysterious circumstances. (*coughitwasyoucough*) all the various jedi and sith are alive. the clone wars continue. multiple endings, morality system, dating options. 🤓

i think mary would have made a great deadbeat. she would have been sooo good at being a woman who is a Mother and Wife one day and the next has crossed state lines with a fake id and a gun. she would have been so swag at leaving john and those kids. play in this space with me
as she ages in the finale, we see the blue in it start to become less vibrant and it seems to be growing from her roots and it made me think...
WAIT DOES SPACE BETH GET THIS HAIR FROM RICK?
HAS THIS ALWAYS BEEN SUPER OBVIOUS OR AM I JUST DUMB? WAS IT NOT A CHOICE TO DYE IT? WAS IT JUST SOMETHING THAT HAPPENED AFTER SHE WENT TO SPACE? WHY DOESNT REGULAR BETH'S HAIR DO THE SAME THING? IS IT JUST SOMETHING THAT HAPPENS WHEN MEMBERS OF THIS FAMILY ARE SUPER INTO SCIENCE OR SOMETHIGN???
WHY IS RICKS HAIR BLUE ANYWAY ITS ALWAYS BEEN BLUE IT DOESNT HAPPEN AS HE GREYS. WHY DOES BETHS HAIR BECOME BLUE BUT ONLG WHEN SHE TURNS INTO A SPACE REBEL.
