"Strings" With Lord Apollo and Ganymede
Ganymede loved to play lyre but was kinda self taught. Lord Apollo helped him teaching how to play it, and he was a good student even! Considering also they had a very few time. Apollo's design is from @neal-illustrator!

Ranting

Seeing them talking is something really fun. To me. My brain could potentially starting to plotting a story with those three here. What do you think? Here the original image without dialogues.

It's your fault
A little angst for today
I'm very near to explain you all about Ganymede guys, have trust in me.
DISCLAIMER APPARENTLY I HAVE TO DO:
Please notice that in this AU Ganymede is a young adult (confirmed at least, while in the myth wasn't really specified), and that the relationship with Zeus is consensual and emotionally complex. I really don't like to put this disclaimer here, because i think it ruins a little the mood of the story, but i have to. Please enjoy, and remember that this is fiction. Have a nice one!

Hera and Zeus are @neal-illustrator design!

wait wait. So- if cloudsidon and Cloudysseus have tiny forms, does that mean Ganymede has a tiny form too?? :0
The tiny size Is specific for Cloudysseus and Cloudyseidon 👀
I mean clouds can do some changes, but nothing important, more like clothes or... Removing them. LoL.
Cloudymede is a very specific type of Cloud. There Is only One like him.

This might be a very stupid question, but how does the clothing work with Cloudysseus and Cloudysseion? Are their clothes made of clouds too?
That’s not a silly question at all! On the contrary, it’s an interesting aspect to dive into, and I’m happy to do it!
Cloud folk aren’t sensitive to heat or cold from the atmosphere, so technically, they don’t need clothes. But they can wear them if they want to. Usually, they only have one outfit, the one Zeus created them with and it's made with clouds. Otherwise, they can just take it off and go without. The only thing that really influences whether they wear clothes or not is their sense of decency - and let’s be honest, they don’t have much of it… probably because Zeus barely has any himself. They can also wear regular clothes though, kind of like Cloudyseidon does when Penelope sews him those diva outfits.

Wait, does Ganymede have a small form like Cloudysseus?
In theory, being a cloud folk, he should be able to change his shape somehow. But Ganymede is a different type of cloud, and it wasn't "designed" for those purposes. I won't close the possibility tho. Never say never to a cute chibi Gany!

Do the clouds actually not feel any pain? What about Ganymede, does he not feel (physical) pain?
Clouds doesn't feel pain in the way we do, but they can emulate it if they think it's important. That doesn’t mean they can’t feel it at all! If the thing that harms them is a divine (or magical) object or weapon, cloud beings can be wounded and even killed. So yes, ouchy. Ganymede can’t help but feel pain, not because he actually feels it, but because, to him, it’s natural to feel it, as if he had a body made of flesh.

Ok so if the cloud people can’t communicate with other gods and people verbally, why don’t they use sign language?
Well, as far as I know, sign language wasn't exactly something existing yet, not like the modern one at least. Btw, Cloudysseus and Cloudyseidon aren't really interested in being understandable to others, they speak in their way and it's ok so to them. Ganymede instead tried to express himself as better as he can, but is not enough for rich conversations, of course. And actually, nobody exept Zeus or other clouds wants to have a conversation with him, so what's the point? :D

Cloud Ganymede has a story? I mean he is the real ganymede transformed into a cloud or Zeus created him after Ganymede became a star o something like that (I don't Remember precisely now)
He has a story! A story I have actually written on A03 and I was thinking on maybe... MAYBE. Draw it. Just because I love writing, but i could do better. And I really want to try it. :D If you want to give the story a try, it's this: "I just want to be a regular cupbearer!" But two disclaimer first: 1- It's the sequel of another story, a bit sillier but still. And the story I'm speaking about is THIS, instead: "Just Gods Having fun" where Ganymede firstly appears. It's not fully necessary, but at least you'd understand better the picture. 2- It's ofc a very big retelling of the Myth. Don't take it too seriously, it's just MY Ganymede being portrayed there.
Let me know if you give it a read! I'm sorry but I'd rather not to ruin you the experience of discover it by yourself. ;)
