I’ve been watching this show since 5th grade. I could go on and on about how important and special this show is to me. I really want to someday. It will always remain as one of my top 3 shows of all time.

I love Cartoon Network shows so much they’re always so fun and wacky and yet often have so much more to them than that as well. Few other studios have struck the absolutely perfect balance that CN shows so often strike. They make you laugh just as easily as they make you cry. They’re so incredibly special to me and I can only hope one day maybe I can work on shows anywhere near as special as these are

I never finished the show but it’s sad nowing we lost another show.

Now the only remaining shows are all reboots(teen titan go,we baby bears,Tiny toon looniversity.)

The last original show is jellystone though which a comment mentioned.

I know I'm late but can I tell you about one of my favorite Black characters?

Kenneth former King of the Creek from the show Craig of the Creek

He's smart and kind. Never forgets about his friends but has sense and self-worth to put up boundaries and stick to them, with his friends and his family (he was having none of Xavier's shit nor Mark's) He's even willing to do silly things to make people happy. I actually love damn near all of the Black characters in this show but Kenneth is a standout for me

Craig of the Creek! It is truly like... To swing at a wasps nest, everyone here talks about Steven Universe and Adventure Time as the good rep CN shows but COTC honestly puts them to shame in terms of the amount of overtly shown and relevant diversity (racial, cultural, sexuality, gender) and good lessons. Alas, a show with a young Black MC would struggle to hold on. I hate that it got cancelled. The last few episodes are dropping soon, if they haven't already. But yeah COTC was phenomenal. Craig is one of my favorite examples of a well written Black child, and how the show considers his Black boyhood while also still giving him the grace of being a child. I could go on, truly.

Anyway yeah, Kenneth is dope and I do love how he's so cool in comparison to his siblings (who still have some distance to go, themselves).

Couple BGs from today's COTC ep Putting Together the Pieces! I was really nervous about nailing the style when I drew these! I have to thank our BG Supervisor Cory for trusting me on these bigger landscape pieces. And paint did an incredible job with the colors!! Pls watch the episodes to see them in full glory.
