How many of these sound familiar?
Tumblr media
Congratulations, you're utilizing AAVE!
How often do you find yourself recognizing when you are? Do you actually know what these words mean? Do you know when they're being used improperly? Are you interested in learning to respect the history behind the dialect?
This thought process, and others, are discussed in my lesson, "It's Giving" AAVE, and the Denied Yet Undeniable Impact of Black Culture.

TW: racism, ableism, homophobia, stalking, bullying, problematic developer
I didn't originally intend to publish this, but after seeing one specific post made by galacticglados, I felt it was time to speak out.
queenlilithprime / restartheartvn is a horrible person and you should not support them.
I have documented and provided screenshots of every post linked here. This means that even if Lilith deletes something, I will still have evidence. I have also screen recorded their entire vent blog, racism blog, and some of the other blogs they've engaged with for future reference. So there will be no excuse for faking screenshots if the original source can no longer be found. For even more security it might be good to reblog posts you find important to preserve them as well.
First, proof "princessofhollowness" is their venting side blog.
Here is Lilith's post talking about creating a new blog to vent on.
Tumblr media
Most of the reblogged posts on princessofhollowness have been liked by their main blog, queenlilithprime. This proves it's a side blog since you can only like posts from your main blog. Similar to that, Lilith interacts with the same group of friends on their vent blog.
Below are screenshots of reblogged posts that have been liked by Lilith's main blog. You can find so much more than the ones I listed by visiting princessofhollowness and looking through each individual post yourself. (one two three four)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
According to former friends of Lilith, many of the personal experiences shared on their vent blog can be backed up by personal events shared on their discord and main blog. Out of respect for their privacy, since these posts are personal, I will not share screenshots. But you can still find them on their vent blog.
With that out of the way I want you to remember that whenever you see "princessofhollowness" in any of the screenshots, it's one of Lilith's side blogs.
Proof "galacticglados" is another side blog.
Another thing I need to establish is that "galacticglados" is another side blog created by Lilith, as I will be referencing it periodically.
I want to highlight that Lilith's typing style and formatting are similar to those used on their second and third side blogs.
Going a step further, Lilith has previously interacted with the creators of the blog "creatingblackcharacters" on their main account and is familiar with the owners. This will be relevant later. (one two)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Furthermore, all the posts found on galacticglados align with the stalkerish intentions directed toward the creator of the blog "14dayswithyou," which I will elaborate on later.
They showed ignorance as a developer and made homophobia accusations towards the developers of Love & Deepspace.
Lilith has labeled the developers of L&DS (Papergames and subsequently Infold Games) and its fandom as homophobic and shitty without conducting any research or providing evidence of their claims. They made most of these claims on their developer accounts, which has many impressionable followers. (link)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If they did their due diligence as a developer with a published game of their own, they would know that China has significant censorship issues, especially regarding LGBT+ relationships and queer men. Games will be blacklisted and unplayable in China if they don't meet specific conditions. It is absurd to condemn an entire studio and call them homophobic simply for adhering to the laws of their country and not allowing BL content to jeopardize everything they have built.
Additionally, it's well known that L&DS is an otome game designed primarily for women. Lilith expects a massive company to violate Chinese laws by allowing BL content, which would then undermine the intent of the game and take away from a product created for women. If L&DS were a BL game instead, it would not be appropriate to make the main character a woman to be more inclusive.
They have spoken poorly about the developer of @you-and-him behind their back.
UnknownHermit is the creator of YOU and HIM and was originally part of Florescent Red Studios, a developer studio co-owned by Lilith and @stnaf-vn. I don't have much to say except that discussing a friend's or employee's issues behind their back in a public setting is a shady practice for a developer. (link)
The second screenshot is proof that YOU and HIM had ties to Florescent Red Studios. The context of the tweet is unrelated.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They have shown stalkerish behavior regarding @14dayswithyou.
Lilith has an obsession with digging up old posts made by 14dayswithyou and scrutinizing them for any flaws. Some of 14dayswithyou's posts date back several days to over a year, yet Lilith continues to stalk their socials daily and scroll through hundreds of posts just to find any kind of infraction they can complain about. I recommend looking at princessofhollowness and any other blogs they've interacted with to understand what I'm talking about. (one two three four)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They are obsessed with the downfall of 14dayswithyou to the point where they weaponized and used @creatingblackcharacters to reach their goal.
Now that I've provided evidence that princessofhollowness belongs to Lilith and highlighted their stalker-like behavior towards 14dayswithyou, it gives more context to the posts found on galacticglados.
As I mentioned above, Lilith actively criticizes everything the creator of 14dayswithyou does on princessofhollowness and has even commented on their inability to draw Black people accurately, despite two of the characters not actually being Black. It's no coincidence that they raised the same issue on galacticglados and attempted to launch a smear campaign to avoid facing backlash on their main blog. (one two three four)
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lilith has complained about the 14dayswithyou server on princessofhollowness and again on galacticglados, which is even more proof they run both accounts. They have also interacted with this post a few hours prior to posting something related on galacticglados, which is interesting. (link link)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They're a racist who assumes all dark-skinned people are Black.
Two characters mentioned in this post were mistakenly assumed to be Black despite their ethnicities never having been officially confirmed anywhere. Although they have non-Black features, such as their eye color and hair texture, Lilith still claimed they were 100% Black and submitted this information to the creatingblackcharacters blog with harmful intent.
A friend sent me a screenshot of the creator confirming that the characters are actually intended to be South Asian. So there is no excuse for Lilith trying to perpetuate racial stereotypes about Black people.
Tumblr media
They're ableist and made a horrible joke about cancer.
Lilith jokingly remarked that people who are racist should get skin cancer. They later apologized for this comment, but in the big year of 2025, making such a joke is simply not acceptable. Ironically, while Lilith spoke about immediately calling out racism in their original post, they lacked the courage to actually do so on their main blog and instead addressed it on galacticglados. Below is the cropped and full version of the same post since it is lengthy. (link)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
They're a virtue signaller who tries to get in the good graces of mainstream accounts despite being a hypocrite.
Lilith supported proshipping after reblogging a statement from @fantasia-kitt, despite stating "no proshipping" on their blog and not apologizing for banning my friend on discord for liking similar proshipper content found in fantasia-kitt's game, The Kid At The Back. (one two)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lilith only interacts with developers who are popular or have a large following, and never smaller developers. This is seen with fantasia-kitt above as well as @sourmiiiilk. (link)
Tumblr media
As said earlier, they also publicly shared a post that demanded better Black representation and justice for characters that were actually dark-skinned Asians.
I will add more once additional information comes forward. For now, do not support queenlilithprime / restartheartvn.
Testimonies from other people
These will be from aggrieved discord members since that is where most of my friends are active, but I can add anonymous tumblr testimonies too.

I drew something for @creatingblackcharacters Black History Month Challenge!
Wanted to make fanart for one of my fave Black musical artists- Chenayder!! She makes sort of lo-fi pop/R&B that has a really dreamy vibe to it. Such a huge talent n so young too 😭
Obv a song I'd recommend is 'Colors' that she did with MAVI!!
What I want to say to my Black viewers with this is, like Chenayder, keep being unapologetically yourself and make the art, music, writing, etc that you want to make! It’s the importance of self expression, and I support you 100%
For tagging friends... let's go w @ashestoashesjc (ur another fave 🫶) and @julevanwilde It doesn't have to be a drawing! But there's also a week left so don't feel forced lol
Might also make a second piece for this with my oc Basil before the week ends!

Did you know that the creator of #Inktober stole his work from a Black artist?
Now you do!
I want to kick off October by talking about #Blacktober, an event for supporting Black and Black biracial artists that ran from 2020 to 2023!
According to the organizers' own website:
In response to the creator of Inktober plagiarizing his art book from Alphonso Dunn, and the antiblack harassment Black cosplayers and artists face for re-imagining their favorite characters as Black in media and an art community where we're underrepresented - we created #Blacktober in 2020 in hopes to celebrate ourselves, nurture the community and create a positive, empowering space for Black creatives.
Any Black creative and/or cosplayer can tell you that creating or cosplaying beloved characters while Black will lead to vitriol. From comments as supposedly "harmless" such as "oh thats the "Black version" of [character]" (instead of acknowledging that they are the character), to more overt antiblackness like "n***er [character]" and "[character] isn't Black!" with the intent to mock both the creator and the character in question. They suggest that the Blackness is an insult to the character, that it's not accurate. Far less normalized is anyone saying "white [character]" or "cracker [character]" about white people cosplaying nonwhite characters.
Virulent antiblack racism towards organizers and participants was amongst the main reasons that the organizers had to let go of hosting Blacktober.
We've had a blast with everyone these past 3 years watching fan art to original creations be born out of a passion for seeing ourselves in media. However, we, the organizers, are no longer able to keep going with this event, especially with the current state of social media. We've had to combat a lot both on the front lines and behind the scenes. Not just the organizers, but also those participating. This, along with time, was two of the few reasons why we've decided to sunset.
While Blacktober itself is unfortunately no longer an organized event, Black and Black biracial artists might still choose to draw something for the month under the #Blacktober tag.
No, this is not for nonblack creatives to participate in themselves. Not for you nor your Black OCs!
It's a shame that racism constantly seeks to destroy what Black people create, and that it's so common to steal, take credit for, and benefit from our work. But you can avoid being a part of that by supporting Black creatives in your space! I am sure they are there, if you put in the effort to look for them! Search the tag- you might find old AND new work! This also includes standing by them when they speak up on mistreatment within your communities. When you don't speak against antiblack racism, it means you tolerate its existence. And when you tolerate antiblackness, guess what it makes you? We can't say fandom is for everyone, and then not act to make it so. Let's do better.
Happy Blacktober!

My piece for @creatingblackcharacters' Black History Month Challenge! This is Barbara, a character from a story idea I'm still working on. She's the daughter of the town's baker, and has an undying passion for baking herself. I wanted to reflect her beaming joy upon finally getting a cupcake right, after countless attempts. My message to my Black viewers: Whatever you are dreaming of, as long as you keep chasing it, you WILL get there! I filled up the background behind Barbara with doodles of her various failures to emphasize nothing has to be perfect first try. You can always try again, and every time you stand back up, you'll have more knowledge to achieve what you want! Oh, also! While searching for inspiration for this piece, I came across this blog post written by Chef Carla Briggs, the owner of Viola's Heritage Breads in New Orleands. I learned a lot about how much Black people contributed to the food industry from that read. Norbert Rilleux singlehandedly revolutionized sugar processing-- that's chemical engineering in 19th century! Here I'll be tagging some of my friends. I am terribly sorry to post this late into the month so it leaves very little time to contribute, but if you could that'd be awesome! @feluka @talasem @onedumbazz Finally, I'll put here the initial sketches I made for Barbara's attire and hairstyle in this piece:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And one more sketch showing Barbara's father Helios eating one of her failed attempts with glee (it's still cake, after all!)

@creatingblackcharacters Is currently hosting an event for Black History Month. And I for one am so for it!!
Please have a look if you'd like to learn more about their challenge and participate
Not sure who to tag as I'm not sure how many people I know on here are artists or writers, but if you make things of any kind you can still participate. @crazycatsiren @thecomfywriter @venusrrvelez
For my contribution (the word feels wrong but my brain doesn't know what word to use at the moment): Szar Rei Ra, Jay Benu, Anthony Benu, Bora, Fiona Ra, and Xana.
In my series "Different Yet Same" I have many characters of varrying backgrounds. Everyone's background, upbringing, family history, and culture are as diverse as they are. I'm going to describe all of them, but put certain emphasis on one's I feel embody Black History and have something to offer in terms of being more culturally sensitive and understanding.
Szar Rei Ra is the main male character in my story. Without spoiling too much, he is a descendant of the Egyptian God Ra and has a heart for the people that was noticed and taken advantage of. Realizing and breaking away from that leads him into making a community of diverse individuals to help him with his role as an important figure for the future of the world on a whole.
Fiona Ra is Szar's older sister who was quite literally bound to the body and whims of a man via a curse placed by their older brother. She was released once the old patriarchal system was destroyed and is now trying to live life and use her divinity to help others while recovering from her trauma.
Jay and Anthony Benu are a married gay couple. Jay is from Libya and Anthony is from a secret society deep within West Africa. The creatures they are are based off of are from various African mythology but would be recognized, I hope, by my future readers from certain pop media of the 2000s where these creatures were white washed and Asian coated. The creatures they are heavily impact their outlook on life as Jay is more protective and pessimistic and Anthony is a symbol of life, prosperity and safety and is very optimistic. They serve as a hidden Easter egg to educate others on the origins and true nature of the creatures they are.
Bora is an intersex demi god who's upbringing led them to isolate themselves from society. In my second book they are forced to face the fact that they are one of the few gods on earth allowed to actually do anything for the people who have and still are suffering from the African Slave Trade and African Diaspora. The second book is very heavy on humanity suffering the consequences of their actions via divine intervention and having to come to terms with what they do and a need to change.
Xana is a North African bouda, a hyena shifter of African folklore and mythology, sometimes called a werehyena. Her story is part of the second book as well. Hyenas are a very female led and dominate species so her character and her people are used to show the determination and strength of Black women and just how much women do for society. Her people are one of the few matriarchal societies throughout the series.
I do hope people give my story the chance when it's first book is released in April. As a mixed race person who has suffered from all ends of my spectrum it serves to show just how connected we all are and to remind people of the humanity that exists within all of us. "There is nothing in this world that humanity hasn't done to another human." That is a quote that has stayed with me throughout my life as it is repeated quite a lot by my mother whenever injustice happens. World history, TRUE world history proves that and shows why so many people seem afraid of another set of people. Fear drives people more than anything, but we should not need to fear each other because we all bleed red; we all live on the same earth; we all are capable of the same emotions and therefore capable of both love and hate. All my life I've chosen love and only suffer from those who don't.

Are there any special considerations to make with black characters who are autistic? Cause I've just gone with basing their experience of autism off my own even though I'm white. Operating on a different body language, accent being quite different from other black folks, not caring about "fitting in" and having a very strong sense of right & wrong. As well as having their special interests and issues with various sensory related things.
That is a lesson I have cooking up!
Well, just as everything else with Black people and characters, it might not manifest differently than white people, but it's going to be treated differently. Everything I've discussed up to this point in all my lessons is gonna apply. I hate to say this, but society doesn't care if you're Black and autistic (or have any other mental or developmental health issues) because it's already judging you for the Blackness.
You don't have issues sitting still, you have a bad attitude. You don't have ADHD, you have ODD. You don't have a... what do they call it here, a hyperfixation, you're just "very passionate". My Uncle (rip🙏🏾) was visibly autistic, from the stimming to the echolalia to all the rest of his patterns, and people that didn't know him still saw him as a 6'2 large fat scary threatening Black man.
Hell, they barely consider women with autism, and they CERTAINLY don't consider Black women and girls with autism. I've known a few of us, and we usually get the "mean uppity bitch" stigma because no one cares that you might be overstimulated or anxious, or that you are really devoted to a pattern that you see, or that you're trying to express yourself with clear, assertive language, they just think you're being aggressive and hurting their feelings (which is what they expect from Black women).
Point is, we don't "look" autistic, and that's why it doesn't get treated the same, because what does it look like, then? 👀 The same behaviors indicative of autism in me might be the same as in you. Now, when it comes to being Black and autistic, I also think it's important to recognize that a lot of us don't get diagnosed, because of aforementioned things.
My family was far more aware of autism and how to deal with it (at least, for the visibly autistic children, the rest of us had to hack it), but I can't give you a generalized experience. I would suggest researching stories of Black families with autistic children, as well as Black autistic experiences to better buffer your writing.

Not to be a forensics person on main here, but putting it oversimply, livor mortis is the pooling of blood in the body in its dying position, right?
So when people die, including people with brown skin, this color ranges from red and to eventually a bluish-purplish. This happens to everyone, regardless of race, because humans. And gravity.
So when we consider Black vampires or zombies or whatever, and we're trying to make the crossover connection that they're like white vampires (who pale/blanch from both death and the loss of their blood).... These are two totally different reactions! To suggest that Black zombies and vampires' skin would turn purple when they die implies that 1) all of the blood is remaining in their body (Unless of course, that was always the case, and every vampire is walking around with their feet bulging with old dead blood, an interesting concept!) and 2) is somehow still circulating through their body despite gravity, just oxygen-less but somehow at the same time still pooling heavily enough at the surface of the skin to cause general skin tone discoloration (which is not an un-interesting idea, but still... Not loss of blood).
Anyway, my point here is, no, our overall skin tone doesn't just change into purple when we're dead. So there's nothing wrong with wanting to use purple for your Black undead as a style choice! I think it's very cute, especially since white zombies are usually green! But I.... I sincerely hope y'all don't think we turn purple when we die, no. 😅

How do you feel about when people generalize others? Idk how to like say that better but an example is “there was a woman I saw with a green outfit!” Vs “There was a Black woman I saw with a green outfit!”
The reason I ask this is because I’ve noticed a lot of my friends (white) tend to do this a lot. It kinda makes me conflicted because it feels very like “I don’t see color!”
Maybe it’s just me but it’s something I’ve felt conflicted about for some time. Other than that have a good day!
It depends, in my opinion.
There is absolutely a fear of saying "Black" out loud, because it acknowledges race out loud, and by doing that, you're acknowledging that race had a presence in the statement you're about to make! Most people, instead of thinking about the content of what they're about to say (and that, if it's offensive, to just not say it), opt to dodge it altogether. Robin diAngelo mentions it in White Fragility iirc.
So if a white person says "that Black lady at the store", I might look at them odd because that's not the usual behavior- what are you trying to emphasize by adding "Black" to the conversation? What extra information are you trying to give me about this woman, past her physical description? Because when we say "that white lady at the store", usually "white" is offering extra context as to the expected behavior (usually entitlement or naivete). You just did it in your ask!
Plus, people might not say "Black", but they'll slip in other coded language where you know "ah, yes, they mean Black people".
Have you asked your friends why they do this? Why not? Maybe they don't realize that they've got a bias. That's a conversation y'all could have, where you'll realize very quickly just how much the unspoken rule is to Not Bring Up Race Because It's Acknowledging A Power Structure Rude. Could be a growing opportunity for all of you (or you'll recognize the relationships and the type of friends you have, which is hard).

So Mr. CBC showed me some of the hairstyles from this upcoming game called "Rematch" and asked me how I felt. Visually and mechanically, not bad! The twists were definitely nice, I like the definition with each twist. The longer curls could be better, they're still a thinner texture or style in order to fall like this. Didn't seem like there were any thicker textures for longer hair, unfortunately.
It does bother me that they call them "frizzy". That's not what they are. The first set is twists, though I guess they're saying that's the natural texture. Then they and the second set would be curls, leaning into coils. I would have accepted "coils" because I believe they already had "curls" as an option. But "frizzy" is wild because what are you trying to say 😅 Maybe by the time the game is out, they'll update that.

Genuine question, ik as a rule of thumb designing Black characters with washed out/ashy skin tones is inaccurate/less than ideal, but do you feel like there are exceptions? One of my OCs is Black but they’re a vampire (undead) and I’ve always kinda defaulted to them looking kinda ashy (still darkskinned, just desaturated/a lil greyish) but idk if that comes across as being weird? (I don’t have a portrait of them on this device or i’d attach one; the hex i typically use for the flat color is #54433f) (sorry if this is a dumb question lmao)
Inaccurate/less than ideal/racist* 😅 and yes.
Does everyone you draw look ashen or undead, their skin kind of odd? Or is it just this Black vampire? If it's clear from context that this character is a vampire, I think you're fine. I would want to see it though, before I could make a firm decision.

lately i've seen a few drawings/designs of a Black girl with afro puffs but the puffs are old film wheels, and it gave me the idea of a girl with braids but the braids are film rolls
and an old oc concept i had when i was younger, was a Black girl who had a lot of magic and space themes. her "hair" was like, a long afro (idr the exact style, i don't have any drawings of her and it's been several years) but a nebula or cloud of space dust. and i imagined if she put it in a different style that used beads or hair ties, the beads/ties could resemble comets, planets or meteors
i wanted to know your thoughts on these? i like experimenting with visual design and coming up with creative ways to depict Black hairstyles, and i want to do it the best i can with respect toward Black audience ^_^ i remember seeing your rose bouquet afro idea and thought it was really cool, it inspired me a lot (side note, i remember seeing it and also thinking of flowerbud bantu knots, but idr if it was something i thought or a post someone else made during the discussion that also stuck with me)
have been and will be rereading lessons and posts for things to keep in mind with my design concepts
Sounds cute to me 👍🏾 can't wait to see what you come up with!

Do you know of any movies or shows centering Black characters that have low to no flashing lights (or other violent visual effects)? I can't watch many tv shows or movies because of my photosensitivity and there are no warnings for flashing lights in movie theaters or on YouTube. If you or any of your followers have any recommendations, I would really appreciate it.
‼️A post for the followers! We're looking for lists of media with minimal visual effects.‼️
