It’s canon! They all be birds with Phil being a crow, Jaiden being a some sort of blue bird (presumably the same kind of bird as Ari) and Baghera being duck

Wolf, putting his cocobo in the stable outside the mist apartments.

Wolf, entering the lobby, chatting with the attendant.

A) Wolf, exhausted “Good evening, Loetfryn. Hope your day was better than mine.” B) Loetfryn grinning “I'm sure it was, adventurer. You look like shite. What kicked yer arse today, Wolfram?”

A) Wolf smirks “Pirates, what else?” B) Loetfryn taunts “Well, you'll be glad to know yer keeper is back.”

A) Wolf rolls his eyes “Haha that joke never gets old - or becomes accurate. Wrong clan for starters.” B) Wolf smiles “He has returned though?”

A) Loetfryn nods “Aye, ‘bout two bells ago. Lookin’ almost as bad as you do.” B) Wolf smirks, responding smugly “Well your ma says I'm a handsome lad and that's all that matters to me.”

A) Loetfryn chuckles “She only says that so you'll cook for her, Loezwilf!”. B) Wolf chuckles “I'm not short you blind fool!”

Wolf gestures to himself, smugly “I'll remind you this is an exceptional height for a hyur.” Loetfryn chuckles “Ah, that reminds me. Ma knitted yeh another sweater. Reckon she fancied those kebabs the other night.”

Wolf walking towards the hall entrance, camera at his back, waving goodbye “Funny you should mention that! Come by after your shift - I’m making an extra pot of stew for you to bring her. Should clear up that cough. Suppose you can have some as well!”

X’Rhun Tia laying on couch in the apartment reading a book. Zoomed out shot.

The mi'qote sits up as Wolf greets him off frame - “Rhun!” B) Rhun smiles “Ah, I wondered where you were. Off on a job, I trust?”

Wolf rushing over to couch. Rhun surprised.

A) Wolf picks up Rhun and hugs him, beaming. B) Rhun laughs “I wasn't gone that long!”

Zoomed out shot of apartment, Wolf spinning Rhun. W - “Longer than usual!” R - “Alright, that's enough, giant. You may put me down now.”

Wolf and Rhun sitting on the couch. Wolf curious “So - did you find us a new apprentice? Surely someone in that godsdamned forest wanted to do magic without worrying about those flighty Elementals.” Rhun shrugs “Not a one, I'm afraid.”

A) Wolf frowns “Damn, it's been a while. What… six moons since Bright Song went on her way?” B) Rhun thinks “Aye, just about. I do miss her.”

A) Wolf winks “I bet you do. She still answers your calls between adventures. That's something.” B) Rhun scoffs, light blush “Oh stop that. She was merely a student. Anyroad, I'm beginning to think I should try Thanalan again.”

A) Rhun curious “Did you wrap up that job? …You could join me there. You were willing to risk it 8 years ago.” B) Wolf sighs sadly, looking away “Rhun, you know I can't. That was a moment of foolishness. Luckily I met you before I made it to Ul'dah.”

Wolf ponders “Besides, I'm not certain this job is over. There's something not adding up. I mean - it's definitely pirates, but I think there's more to it.” Dark Thought “Of course there is. And you're too dumb to see it.” Rhun curious “Oh? What do you mean? Is there something I can do to help?”

A) Wolf smiles “Nah, your work is more important. Can't have our people's history die out. Thank you though.” B) Wolf ponders “So - During the job I met a strange mi’qote woman. I believe she has information I want…”

A) Rhun grins teasingly “Oh? Was she pretty?” B) Wolf chuckles. “Oh stop with that. I suppose - objectively yes, but you know I don't think of people the same way you do. Anyroad - “

A) Wolf explains - “I was more interested in her power level. I could practically *feel* the aether radiating around her.” B) Wolf curious “She was easily as strong as you or I. More even. And she spoke so cryptically… Most importantly - I couldn't read her emotions. She must have very advanced mental wards.”

A) Rhun smirks, raised eyebrow “Ah - so a mystery woman to keep you from joining me in the land the famous Flame General commands?” B) Wolf, annoyed “I said drop it Rhun.” Dark Thought - ‘He's right. You're a coward. It's been 13 years. Your gladiator won't even remember you.’

Wolf stands up, heading towards the kitchen. Camera facing him, straight face “I'm making stew. Have you eaten yet?” Dark Thought ‘20 years later and you're still just that scared boy who begged for my help. Can't even risk yourself to aid your oldest friend.’

A) Rhun frowns in concern “I'm sorry. I didn't realize my jests would bother you so.” B) Wolf sighs “No, I'm just tired, Rhun. It's been a long day. Confusing…”

Wolf at counter, putting a pot on the stove. Rhun half way there. R - “Well, I'm sorry nonetheless. Perhaps one day you'll move on but I shouldn't try to force you. I'll travel to Ul'dah alone.” W - “Thanks Rhun… but also -”

A) Wolf smiles earnestly “If you get into any trouble you would call my linkshell, right? You know Asuna would get me to you before the enemy took a single slash of your rapier.” B) Rhun smiles “Of course I would. Thank you, Wolf.”

Wolf taking a vegetable out of the basket, speaking smugly “Anyroad, if anyone is worth risking an Ul'dah prison for it's my best friend.” Rhun laughs “Well let us hope it does not come to that.”

Zoomed out shot. Wolf chopping vegetables. Rhun leaning against the counter talking. “And then to top it all off one of those blasted yarzon tried to make a meal of me. I don't know how you tolerated living there.” Wolf chuckles “The conjury lessons were worth all the mud.” Rhun continues “At least your apartment was comfortable - once I had thoroughly dusted.”

Two pots of stew boiling, Wolf stirring one. Rhun setting the table. Loetfryn at the door waving. “Alright, where's me grub?” Wolf looking at door as he stirs “There's the scallywag!” Rhun looking at door “Welcome, Loetfryn! Will your darling mother be joining us?”

"Ain't really sure wha's meant by mythical, but I ain't even been good with any animals 'cept cocobo. Can't really tell ya if they count, but I've always loved 'em, jus'... ain't got one'a m'own anymore. No time."

((Thanks for the ask, @silentletterwords. Mercer used to be the proud owner of a racing chocobo that he won in a game of cards, but sold to pay of some of his husband's old gambling debts. He hasn't been able to bring himself to get another chocobo since. Maube one day.))

[Just for giggles] Eos amazed Avery, not only did it have magical bricks that call people, and giant yellow birds - what were they? Kokomos? Chocobies? Cocobos? Either way, Avery was having a great time. She had been out shopping all day with Ravus' lovely sister when she burst into his office "Why didn't you tell me about these delicious candies?!" She held up a package of Reeses, "These Reeses are amazing, you should give their inventor an award. I want them across all of Ferelden. A day of riding Kokomos and reeses is a fulfilling day!"

Avery's enthusiasm was always fascinating to Ravus, though even more so when she was ramped up on a 'sugar high' from the sweets she so enjoyed consuming. He watched in amusement while she held up the candy in elated praise, smirking somewhat.

"Chocobos," he corrected her with a quiet chuckle, shaking his head. "All across Ferelden, however? I daresay that might lessen the novelty of them."

The candy in mention had never been one to Ravus' tastes, but the same could be said for most sweets. Ah well, that simply meant more for Avery. "I will make certain a large quantity of them returns to Ferelden with you. Perhaps a confectionary specialist could recreate them, or something similar."

The Blackjack @ Cacao 70

Whenever I see ‘cacao’ or ‘cocoa’, my mind wanders off to thinking about Kakao lol yes, the Korean messaging platform. Do a simple google search if you aren’t familiar with it - the characters are so cute! My fav is Neo :P 

Anyways, I’m here to talk about my experience at Cacao 70. I went to the Ice District location, but they’re also opening up a 2nd location in Edmonton on Whyte Ave, & that one, I believe is opening at the end of August sometime (but don’t quote me!). Additionally, there’s a 3rd location at West Edmonton Mall - I’m not sure if it’s open yet but it’s/it’ll be there!

Cacao 70 is a Montreal-rooted franchise that has opened many locations in Canada. Started out as a chocolate drinking bar but then spread its wings & incorporated different ‘items’ on their menu, where chocolate remains to the center of attention. What’s cool about this place is that they have several “branches” (they call it “Concepts” on their website). So what that means is that they have the following:

- Cacao 70 Sweet House: Think café, where’s brunch food, drinks (tea/coffee), & desserts. 

- Cacao 70 Eatery: Serves chocolate-centered breakfast, lunch & diner food. 

- Cacao 70 Dip Shop: This was the “OG”, which is an ice cream shop.

- Cacao 70 Factory: where all the magic happens. 

Quite cool, right? 

The one I visited in the Ice District is a Sweet House. The location is quite awkward right now bcos of construction. .. it’s across from Joey Bell Tower & these doors face south. 

Greeted by these unique ice cream design/logos once I entered.

They serve brunch “all-day” but the omelettes were not available at the time of my visit. However, their in-store menu matches their online menu so that’s awesome! Why? Bcos I already know what I wanna order.

Interior. It was very clean & tidy. It’s kinda tropical-looking/themed to me bcos of the greenery but then the tables & chairs don’t really match. .. esp the tables. The chairs I can somewhat connect to :P

Self-serve water station & also where you get stir sticks, creams, sugar, & napkins. I am such a big fan of these self-serve water stations at cafes. 

Their waffle menu with a little slightly-bigger-than-a-postcard-sized pamphlet on their 2 signature drinks. 

Their flip menu~ Prices are very steep in my opinion.. .

Ordered our food & now waiting. .. as Clara & I waited, I couldn’t keep my eyes from staring at their ceiling lol. This was so pretty! Like. .. it reminded me of wedding venue décor.

Clara’s “Cocobo”. Shocked by the cone presented in such a fashion. .. o_O I don’t like coconut much & these was basically chocolate + coconut sauce on waffle; therefore, I didn’t try hers. But she said the waffle was undercooked & lacked the crispiness that she adores. Overall, she was unsatisfied with it & left over half the dish uneaten. 

Here’s my Blackjack. I got it bcos I’m a Blackjack myself ;) just kidds. I was interested in the black sesame chocolate sauce & how that could relate to strawberries. .. haha it’s a weird mixture so I wanted to try it. First of all, again, the whole ice cream cone on its side thing - I can’t stand it (literally). It was a vanilla soft serve in a cone (very, very typical & classic), but so much of the soft serve melted bcos the waffle was hot -.-” Honestly, it was very messy & the whole thing seemed chaotic. Along with the ice cream + cone & waffle, the Blackjack also has crème brulee cheesecake, strawberries & a ton of whipped cream. Did the black sesame + chocolate combo work? I didn’t think so. It was overall just really, really sweet, esp with the ice cream too.. . it was just sweetness. My fav was the cheesecake layer & only the cheesecake layer; it was normal, slightly chilled, nothing crazy. As for the waffle, I don’t know if it was undercooked or not (I don’t waffle often); however, what I can say is that I agreed with Clara in terms of lacking crispiness. I believe it’s due to the amount of stuff happening around/on top of it. .. 

Generally speaking, I thought the Blackjack was trying to be “too much” but ended up doing “too little”. Does that make sense at all? But you know what I mean, though, right? haha I likely won’t be visiting for a long, looong, loooooong time. 5/10.
