You know, of course Stan, who accidently drinks multiple vampires blood and gets turned by the big bad of all vampires, who should be a physically super strong vampire probably (and might be if he's starving? Not sure, but only if he's starving). And I mean he is, in a way.

At luring other vampires. He's a vampire tricking other vampires. Man has literally become a conman vampire. His powers are conning vampires. Man has gifter so deep in his DNA even vampirism couldn't overwrite it.

Of course.

Stan's con mannerisms are so hard coded into his DNA that he became a vampire that cons other vampires. He doesn't get cool vampire super strength, he doesn't get cool vampire super speed, he can't climb walls or turn into bats, can't mind control anyone, is basically the equivalent of a really tasty steak dinner that's also poisoned. Sure he can walk around in the day and eat food (It doesn't fill him up anymore, but at least he doesn't vomit), and has a heart beat and his teeth paralyze anyone he bites, but really? Not one cool vampire power? One? He can still see his grubby face in the mirror, and all it shows is his huge disappointment when Ford explains vampires are real and he's a super special new mutated one that has 0 bonuses. Didn't realize he wasn't human anymore because his new vampire type mimics humans so well he convinced himself he was one.

Since 007n7's lore seems to be getting a rewrite (the actual 007n7 is helping! A!) I would like to throw my hat in the ring, as I've had an interesting concept hit my brain.

At first, 007n7 was just an average person, just with some shifty connections. He worked at Builder Brothers and was good friends with Elliott. He got his paycheck at the end of every week, and was a hard enough worker he earned several bonuses. He lived alone, and had a mostly comfortable life. Sure he had to cut corners to make ends meet once in a while, but who didn't skip a meal every now and again?

He and Noli were friends in college, and Noli highly encouraged him to take up hacking and/or join his group (which was rapidly transforming into a cult,) but there was no pressure. 007n7 refused every offer - he was perfectly happy the way he was. Noli, while extremely disappointed, accepted his refusal, while reminding Seven that he could always call him up for a favor, big or small. They would chat every once in a while, and Seven wouldn't report Noli to the mods. Life was good.

Then that little red pillbaby got left at his doorstep. At first, 007n7 tried to give the little guy to the foster care system, because he didn't think he had what it took to be a single father. But one night, he had a nightmare of the baby looking hurt and scared, reaching for him with tears in his eyes. That did it for Seven - he adopted c00lkidd outright the very next day. And he never regretted it.

But as c00lkidd grew, 007n7 found it exponentially harder to take care of the both of them. He took on more hours. He got another job. He tried to homeschool c00lkidd in his free time. They moved into a smaller house. He got another job. He got more hours. He skipped more meals in favor of feeding c00lkidd. He got his cousin to watch the house. They moved in with 007e7. He didn't sleep. E took on extra hours at his job.

It wasn't enough.

Seven called Noli. Noli taught him the basics. He started teleporting to work. He used different glitches to boost his efficiency. His mind locked onto coding easily, and he started developing the c00lGUI. He tried to get a more tech-focused job but was rejected. He used clones to work all his jobs at once.

It wasn't enough.

It was never enough.

He realized he wasn't really valuable to these people.

He realized c00lkidd wasn't valuable to these people.

He snapped.

He continued to work on the c00lGUI, enhancing it, making it bigger and better. He discovered hacks that shocked even Noli.

E saw what was happening. He tried to talk N out of it.

He didn't listen.

He founded Team c00lkidd, and enlisted several like-minded individuals to his side. He made c00lkidd the face of his madcap endeavor. So they could see who they were robbing. So he would never forget who all this was for. Was it dangerous? Of course. But if they wanted his family, they would have to go through him first. And he would not make it easy.

He returned to the place it all began.

And he brought hell down upon their heads.

C00lkidd was four at the time. He made sure it would be a show that would bring a smile to that precious face. He even let the little guy help stir up the chaos.

Elliott didn't recognize the monster in front of him.

It was almost two years before 007n7 got caught. Noli actually got caught before him, and he broke him out of jail.

It would have gone a lot worse for both 007n7 and c00lkidd if Shedletsky hadn't intervened. He saw a bit of himself in the "little Firebrand" and his hotshot father. Maybe he saw something he had lost long ago...?

007n7 was sentenced to exhausting community service for a while, but there was no fine, and all in all, it could have been a lot worse. At least c00lkidd hadn't been sentenced to anything, and didn't have to suffer for his father's actions.

But then c00lkidd went missing. He was only seven. 007n7 was devastated. He searched desperately for him. Even Shedletsky helped.

But three years passed and no sign of his little Firebrand. He became increasingly depressed. He had given up everything for c00lkidd, and now he was gone, seemingly for good. He started pushing everyone else away. Noli and E both tried getting through to him, with no results. He continued his downward spiral. His little red pillbaby, gone.

We all know what happened next.

was making a post about all my intersex headcanons, but i realized that so many of them were from homestuck that i might as well make a whole post solely about them. so yea :)

homestuck headcanons (intersex edition because i do what i want :p)

first off, the humans!!

jade harley (NCAH): honestly, it’s mostly just vibes. plus her whole thing is dogs n stuff. dogs have a lot of hair. you know who else has lots of hair? people with NCAH

roxy lalonde (AIS): remember that whole thing where hussie revealed the last two letters of her name first, so everyone immediately headcanonned her as a trans woman, then it was confirmed that she’s cis? homegirl can have XY chromosomes while being cis! bada bing bada boom!

ok now the trolls!! (this section will be significantly longer lmao)

sollux captor (Chimerism): first of all, his blood is literally yellow, so yknow. second of all, duality is a HUGE part of his character! it just makes sense for him to be a chimera to me tbh (i also headcanon that gold and violetbloods are more likely to be medically recognized as intersex but that’s an entirely different can of worms)

nepeta leijon (PCOS): same reasoning as jade, but her whole thing is cats. cats have lots of hair. you know who else has lots of hair? people with PCOS

kanaya maryam (Klinefelter’s Syndrome): most people depict her as being super tall, and you know who tends to be super tall? yeah :)

(i know that it’s kinda implied at all jadebloods are female, just let me have trans intersex kanaya. i beg. i grovel at your feet)

terezi pyrope (undeclared, likely Chimerism): i feel like she would really love to bring up her intersexuality while arguing with a transphobe or intersexist. she would also probably not disclose what her specific variation is so they couldn’t pull the whole “you’re just a fe/male with a dsd!!!!” bs. also, balance is a huge part of her character, so i feel like chimerism particularly suits her

equius zahhak (Hyperandrogenism): his body is quite literally overflowing with testosterone. man is literally sweating 24/7 and frankly, no other indigobloods seem to have as much testosterone as him, so we know this isn’t typical. they’re all strong, yeah, but this guy is on a whole other level. i just KNOW this boy’s skin is oily as hell

(also yes!! i headcanon equius as a cis guy with hyperandrogenism!! intersex doesn’t just mean “man with lots of estrogen” or “woman with lots of androgen”!!)

eridan ampora (PAIS): ok this one is one im actually super passionate about. in the og comic, all female trolls are consistently drawn with black lips (with the exception of nepeta, who i’ve already included on here). all the male trolls are drawn without the lips except for eridan. eridan is shown to have black lips in multiple panels! back when it was first pointed out, most assumed it was because of how feminine he is compared to the other guys, but you know what? idc!!! that boy is intersex and indulges in toxic masculinity due to his insecurity!!! idc what anyone has to say!!! also his blood is literally violet so yknow

damara megido (CAIS): i think she would get a really big kick out of not having body hair, periods or the ability to give birth. obviously there are downsides to it, but i doubt those would get in her way of having fun. i also think she would really like reclaiming That One Japanese Slur For Intersex People

cronus ampora (MAIS): mostly cause vibes and the fact that he’s related to eridan, so it’s more likely. what can i say, the ampora boys are very “does being intersex make me less of a man?” coded

rose lalonde (PCOS): she gives me the vibe of a woman who has PCOS but doesn’t consider herself intersex due to how little it affects her. tho i imagine that she’s done lots of reading on intersex variations considering how two people she cares deeply about (kanaya and roxy) do consider themselves intersex

dave strider (MAIS): i know that trans dave is a super popular headcanon and don’t get me wrong, transgender icon dave strider will save the world!! it’s just that for me personally, i’ve only been able to see him as an intersex guy. though in his case, i imagine that he would find out pretty late into his life. and like his sister, considering how little it’s affected his life, he wouldn’t consider himself intersex either

I put together allllll the possible combinations of Griffin's Driving CG expressions, along with some bonuses all the way to the right with blush/removed glasses. Thank you as always to my Ko-Fi Supporters!

Of note - I took the trouble to add in some 'far' eyelashes on Griffin's face, (for both closed and open eyes, so you'd see them move when Griffin blinks)...

only to realize it'll be 100% blocked by her bangs.

The always impeccable Remnantation not only did the full CG art, but also made this gorgeous broken bottle that I have smashed against MC's door:

I'm absolutely in love with it. I haven't tested it in-game just yet, but I did export it as a PNG and position it to be in line with the food art.

And I did some secret concept art for Myster and the other secret LI

Andddd took an abundance of pose reference photos in hopes of finally nailing down some proper sprites...!

And then I did some lore planning, mostly cleaned up old notes to try and document it better... Worked on the main antagonist's family tree... ... that's about it I think.

Vampiric Hunger is the most fascinating thing to me, and the quintessence of early Morrowind Modding.

With just janky MWScript, the author was able to make a hunger system where you need to feed on blood, and often early on, petering out as you go longer. It adds sun damage based on a percentage of health and ways to deactivate it with items. It gives you new vampire powers the longer you're a vampire. As far as coding goes, it's arguably not the most impressive vanilla Morrowind mod to exist, but it is certainly up there in the top few pushing the vanilla engine as far as it could go without MWSE.

In terms of writing you have lines like "Please Noooo." in response to you harvesting someone's blood. It's... bad.

And in terms of actual design... they changed the bonuses Vampirism gives you from Attributes to Curses. Which is an actual, in-engine mechanic! And for all the incredible scripting work, lovingly commentated and clear and coherent, I can only imagine this:

They changed it to Curse because uhm vampires are cursed right that's way cooler.

And as a result, the stats and skills you get for being a vampire are temporary and if anything drains or damages them you can never get them back ever because curses are an in-engine function that was never finished being implemented and you set it to curses without it being a function that works and now your mod doesn't fucking work.

There are mods that fix this, allegedly, but the one I'm using doesn't seem to be working for me, which is just. Just fantastic really because it's going to be a huge fucking deal to reset my stats to where they're supposed to be, and then even more testing to see if I can get the "fixed" version to actually work right before I just scrap the mod alltogether.

Because the version I'm using helpfully put half the fixes in a DIFFERENT .esp that adds a bunch of shit I don't want and wasn't using and didn'' realize until later the fixes were in THERE for some reason, you know, because who would put the fixes in the bonus extra optional fucking esp lol? And switching to a fixed .esp doesn't seem to be working and worse, seems to prevent stat restore on drinking blood, which, I don't even know why that's fucking up now did you HOOK the stat restore into it being a curse somehow??? The fuck did you do.

But it's the utter living SYMBOL of early Morrowind modding. You accomplished something far beyond the expectations of what the game could do... and then fucked it up, entirely, made your mod actively deleterious and broken, because you went "haha isn't vampirism a curse? there's an option for curses here that sounds way cooler I"m gonna make them a curse instead"

And to this day no one's done a better vampire mod. There's Devilish Vampires now, but Vampire Embrace has a complex dialogue system that allows people to talk to you if they like you enough, and has a pre-greeting system that allows you to convince them to talk to you even if they normally wouldn't, and... Devilish Vampires has it so you can do it if you wear a closed helmet and only if you do that. If you're a beast race there's One Hat that works and that's it. And instead of allowing you to feed on people repeatedly, and collect thralls and make new vampires, it... makes you feed on corpses, forcing you to kill someone every time ? ? ? I guess? ? ? You're basically exchanging like two dozen awesome systems for a fifth of the content like no offense very impressive mod also but VE/VH just remains completely unmatched

Vampyr looked cool but that project hasn't gotten an update in over a year so rip.

Meanwhile Vampiric Hunger would have worked great if the author hadn't gone "wow... vampirism is a curse and there's a curse option here... neat!"

Garo Master - CR8 Undead

A boss version of a robed ninja spirit, based on the Zelda enemy of the same name.

This is a higher level version of the garo robe from Majora’s Mask that I posted earlier this week, designed to be a boss fight.

Although they appear to be humanoids shrouded in long cloaks, garo masters are empty shells with nothing beneath the robe.  Like the garo robes that serve under them, they’re the remnants of warrior spies with a strict code of honor who committed ritual suicide in a way that left no body behind, in order to prevent their enemies from learning the information they had.  Many of these warriors, animated by their own willpower, return as undead and continue to gather information in death, haunting the locations where they were assigned to.

Garo masters lead the warriors that serve under them even in death, following the same chain of command that they followed in life.  They’re not, unfortunately, particularly capable of realizing that their war has long since ended.

Garo masters hide from their enemies, and begin battle by creating a ring of fire, preferably in the surprise round.  Once the ring of fire has been created, they dash quickly in and out of it to attack.

I previously posted the Stalblind and Bongo Bongo, two other Zelda bosses.  I also want to give a shout out to The Legend of Zelda: An RPG to the Past for more Zelda creatures, races and items converted to Pathfinder 1e, including some stat blocks for living Garo that haven’t yet become restless spirits.

Garo Master - CR 8

SPECIAL ABILITIES

Death Throes (Su) When a garo master is slain, its body combusts in a flash of white-hot flame. This acts like a fireball that deals 10d6 fire damage in a 20-foot-radius burst.  A DC 19 Reflex save halves the damage.  A garo master’s gear is unaffected by this explosion.  The save DC is Charisma-based.

Ki Points (Su) A garo master has a pool of 8 ki points per day.  Its ki points can be used to fuel its various special abilities listed below.

Flaming Jutsu (Su) By spending 1 ki point as a swift action, a garo master can imbue up to 2 magic weapons it’s wielding with the flaming property for a duration of 1 minute.  This effect is already included in its statistics ability.

Graceful Landing (Su) As long as a garo master has at least 1 ki point remaining, it is immune to falling damage and always lands on its feet.

Leap Into Nothing (Su) By spending 1 ki point as a move action, a garo master can leap up into the air and disappear, reappearing at a point it can see within its movement speed, and can perform a feint against one target within 10 feet of either its starting point or its destination as a free action.  This is a teleportation effect.

Offensive Defense (Ex) When a garo master hits a creature with a melee attack that deals sneak attack damage, the garo master gains a +2 dodge bonus to AC for one round. The dodge bonus only applies against the creature it sneak attacked, and the dodge bonus does not stack with itself.

Quick Run (Su) By spending 1 ki point as a swift action, a garo master can take another move action on its turn, although its movement speed is halved during this extra move action.

Ring of Fire (Su) By spending 1 ki point as a standard action, a garo master can create a ring of fire along the ground with a radius as small as 10 feet or as wide as 40 feet.  This ring of fire is a vertical sheet of fire that rises from the ground to a height of 20 feet along the edge of the radius.   The ring of fire inhibits visibility, causing attacks that pass through the edge of it to have a 20% miss chance.  The ring of fire must be initially centered such that the garo master is inside the radius, but once it has been placed, the garo master can freely enter and leave the ring of fire.  Creatures and unattended objects other than the garo master that enter or end their turn in the edge of this ring of fire take 10d6 fire damage with no saving throw.

A garo master can only create one ring of fire at a time.  A ring of fire lasts for 1 minute, or until the garo master is destroyed or takes any amount of cold damage.

Two-Weapon Charge (Su) By spending 1 ki point as part of a charge, while wielding a weapon in each hand, a garo master can attack twice at the end of the charge, once with each of its weapons.

Wake

Wake is just so far out of her depth and refuses to let anyone know bc she desperately wants to seem like she knows what she's doing. She met Karlach and was immediately ready to fight Wyll for her. She's very speedy (current speed with all bonuses before dashing: 80ft) and does dope monk shit. She wants to help her friends but man can they stay like... Good? For like 5 minutes? She wants to marry Karlach and adopt 5 dogs. She thinks Lae'zal and Shadowheart are secretly fucking. She thinks Astarion needs a hug and Gale needs a rebound. She and Wyll are besties. She wants Halsin teach her how to whittle. She thinks Withers is a funny little guy. Someone help her, but don't make it obvious.

Tu'an

Tu'an's name is literally trouble and she lives up to it. She's actually a DND character I've got and translated into BG3, and her backstory is pretty dark, which is fine bc she's so beyond caring. There's so much wrong with her, she has an ungodly pain tolerance bc she doesn't really feel it anymore. She can't get drunk bc repeated infusions of very high level healing magic have artificially sped up her metabolism and she processes alcohol without getting any of the good woobly feelings. She finds the fact that Shadowheart could kill her SO sexy. Would absolutely destroy anyone who disparaged Scratch or the owlbear cub.

Moss

If you mixed Parker with Nathan and then further traumatized that resulting person you'd get Moss. Moss is an angry little cutthroat bitch who would sell you for a corn chip. Except not all the time bc if she likes you she would stab the person trying to get her to sell you out. With prejudice. And never tell you about it bc it's none of your business. Her main way of expressing affection is to bitch at you to do self care while pointedly ignoring that she is also not sleeping or eating properly. She and Gale do NOT get along at first, he finds her abrasive and clinical, she finds him annoyingly positive AND he eats magic items. After the Grove he realizes she's more than she lets on and makes an effort to understand her, which throws her for a loop bc nobody has ever bothered to try before. She has no clue what to do with her feelings. Truly a mess.

Vyn

Truly a proper bard. She thinks very highly of herself and doesn't think about anyone else. She has committed plagiarism and will do so again. She wants the glory but absolutely does not want to work. She would have committed cryptocurrency scams if it existed in BG3, and she's so charming she'd have gotten away with it too. The most likely to be tricked by The Emperor, since he's flattering her and she loves to hear nice things about herself. Has never had to deal with the consequences of her actions and is now having just so many rude awakenings. This adventure is going to drag her kicking and screaming into being an alright-ish kind of person and she isn't having it. Wyll isn't even her normally type but she zeroed in oh his hero complex and wanted to exploit it so she would have a bodyguard, but she got in too deep and now she actually wants to be the person he thinks she is and she's never going to live this down.

Ocelia

Besties with Jahiera. Does not care about being nice or polite unless you give her the respect she has earned. Has a strict moral code to protect her from the Wizard Hubris, which often leads her to denying herself things she wants, or making her do things the hard way. Thinks Gale is an idiot and one step removed from a warlock. Unflinchingly honest when prompted, if you don't want her to tell you what she thinks you should not ask her. Has backup plans for her backup plans and always has her head on a swivel. Technically a Duchess although she leaves the running of her estate and lands to her younger brother, who is a much better people person. Can see that Astarion has the potential to be Better capital B and refuses to let him wiggle out of doing the right thing. In return he won't let her pretend she doesn't want something. They bring out the most ragged parts of each other and somehow it... Just works. Neither of them will address the elephant in the room aka their feelings. Shadowheart has a bet going with half the camp over whether or not they'll fuck or murder each other. Ocelia has placed a bet and won't tell Astarion what it is.

Out of curiosity (I was the one who reported the Emotional stat error), how did the Emotional stat tie to Pronoun changes? :O

Bwahaha. I retraced your steps and the error showed up as soon as the stats screen was available.

This is a bit long, but here you go:

You see, before the stat screen is available, I don't need all the stat notification images to show up. So the code I was using when changing stats was a simple "set emotion +5" instead of the much more complex subroutines that account for all the other Trait bonuses.

Now the choice that caused the error was "I had a private conversation with Ma'am Bianes after class..." which had both "Emotional +10" and "Composed -10".

And then that error happens when you divide something that's negative. The funny thing is, I actually accounted for this and created a check to bring the stat back to zero if it went negative.

The problem is, I changed the stat names I while back, and I guess when I did a search and replace, I confused the Composed stat with Reserved (which was its previous name).

Turns out, I was checking if "Reserved" was below zero, not "Composed", so it wasn't doing anything. Now I realize the stat change doesn't even make sense, so now I changed the stat you gain from that choice to "+10 Outgoing".

So yeah. Anyway, thank you for sending in that whole message! That helped narrow things down a lot. 😊

Garo robes are capable of working in groups and even following the same chain of command that they followed in life.  They’re not, unfortunately, particularly capable of realizing that their war has long since ended.

Garo robes hide from their enemies, and begin battle by creating a ring of fire in the surprise round.  Once the ring of fire has been created, they dash quickly in and out of it to attack.

SPECIAL ABILITIES

Death Throes (Su) When a garo robe is slain, its body combusts in a flash of white-hot flame. This acts like a fireball that deals 4d6 fire damage in a 10-foot-radius burst.  A DC 13 Reflex save halves the damage.  A garo’s gear and treasure are unaffected by this explosion.  The save DC is Charisma-based.

Ki Points (Su) A garo robe has a pool of 4 ki points per day.  Its ki points can be used to fuel its various special abilities listed below.

Quick Run (Su) By spending 1 ki point as a swift action, a garo robe can take another move action on its turn, although its movement speed is halved during this extra move action.

Ring of Fire (Su) By spending 1 ki point as a standard action, a garo robe can create a ring of fire along the ground with a radius as small as 10 feet or as wide as 40 feet.  This ring of fire is a vertical sheet of fire that rises from the ground to a height of 20 feet along the edge of the radius.  The ring of fire inhibits visibility, causing attacks that pass through the edge of it to have a 20% miss chance.  The ring of fire must be initially centered such that the garo robe is inside the radius, but once it has been placed, the garo robe can freely enter and leave the ring of fire.  Creatures and unattended objects other than the garo robe that enter or end their turn in the edge of this ring of fire take 4d6 fire damage with no saving throw.

A garo robe can only create one ring of fire at a time.  A ring of fire lasts for 1 minute, or until the garo robe is destroyed or takes any amount of cold damage.

Two-Weapon Charge (Su) By spending 1 ki point as part of a charge, while wielding a weapon in each hand, a garo robe can attack twice at the end of the charge, once with each of its weapons.
