Random things I thought of;
Money in DW (Digital World) is called credits (though cash/dollars can and is a term used, just not officially)
Regular Programs can get 'apprenticeships' to become Moderators
Whenever a Moderator becomes an Admin, they get what's basically a major energy rush for a few days. They then become lethargic for a day or so after
While the Adminspace was quite known before, it is well known now because of... Everything.
There's three methods of transport; The Transportation Hub, the Codespace Train, and portals.
The Transportation Hub basically has elevators/portals for anyone that doesn't have the energy to make their own portal. As long as you know the general location of where you're going, you can use the Transporation Hub.
The Codespace Train travels between servers that have train stations. It's run by a Program named Array (making a drawing on her, but if you are curious, do ask!) and many little stickmen (like from AvA).
Many decent Viruses (ones who don't wish to be Viruses, were reformed, or other such things) live down in the Null Zone, which Vitality tends to frequent due to her connections to Viruses who need her help.
The other Adminspace departments probably don't know the exact ins-and-outs of what's happening right now and why everyone is panicking. (See here for explanation, I really like the idea of it.)
The Council, in the Adminspace, are Programs anonymously selected to represent certain departments. There is about 5-9 Councilors per department. The Councilors in the linked piece are a part of the Administrative Department.
All Councilors either use fake names or scramble their names so that they aren't easily tracked due to some not being well liked. They wear hoods and everyone has a symbol to make them more identifable.
Programs can give others 'cores', which is basically a power cell! If a Program stutters/lags/other such things, a more powerful or better running Program can give them a core to insert into their code to help stabilize them. It's a show of immense trust and understanding to receive a core, as it means that the giver trusts you enough to give you a piece of them.

Hey tell me why I had an abstracted identity dream last night? I never dream about specific characters or people??? What have you done to me?????
Btw here is the dream if you want it for some reason, it is pretty out of character though:
In the mormal circus, after the chap 10 glitch, Jax, absolutely tearing Caine a new one, ends up saying smth along the lines of "if only we could replace you with an actually functional chunk of code" to which Caine stops moving, goes quiet, and after 1.35 seconds(yes that precise idk why I know that) super cheerfully zips off with a "that's a wonderful idea!" Kinger, who has been looking for Caine, hears only what Caine says, and, already agressive, interrogates Jax, he gets and answer. Suddenly at the catastrophic error box, with everyone, kinger, through sheer force of will, tears his way into the codespace (which he, atleast in the dream, shouldn't be able to ever access). Everyone in the normal circus again, start panicking, but Jax spots Caine, who's glitching, and sees one of his eyes go abstraction-y which scares jax, who gets made fun of, and then I woke up
asddslkm okay ngl, this is the first time (that I remember anyway) that one of my fics has invaded the dreams of someone lmao. I don't think I've even had my fics invade my own dreams... XD
Ngl I am kinda getting some ideas from this, but we'll see if I can come up with anything >:3 (dialogue is hard to write and currently beating me to death but its finnneee)

Day 2 of 100 Days of Code
I'm steadily making progress in learning C. Transitioning from Python hasn't been too challenging since I already have some Python knowledge. My main struggle has been with the syntax, particularly remembering to include semicolons.
I'm using CS50 codespace for these first few lessons they are using a library that I've had difficulty installing on VSCode. I don't know if anyone else has been having problems with the new codespaces but I have been having some library and terminal issues with it. Fortunately, a couple of months ago, I set up an Codespace, which is still working. I just need to remember not to update it.
Also, Thank you to everyone who showed me so much love on my previous post. Your support means a lot to me. When I signed up for Tumblr, my intention was mainly to have a space to document my progress, expecting my posts to go unnoticed. However, you all have pleasantly proven me wrong in the best way possible. <3

(Context: Array was mentioned here.)
Array is an old, very old Program. From the days where worship of the Gods was every day, where Programs irrationally feared Death, where things were not as regulated as they are now.
She doesn't have many ambitions, really. She's content with what she does; running her train, keeping the stickmen happy, and getting her passengers to their destination.
She made the Codespace Train herself, when times were easier and codes trusted each other easier. Now, she wonders, how hard is it to trust someone with all the chaos in their world as of late?
She remembers, a time ago, when she had to take in a young Moderator. He was a frightened thing. Didn't speak much, kept his head down always. "His old Admin expiermented on him," they told her, "so it's hard to say if he'll trust you."
Array understood. She met many lost souls, and she always had the same ideal; they stay on her Train as long as they need to. Be it days, months, years, she doesn't care. Whatever it takes for someone to feel like they've finally found themselves.
Array tutored the Moderator. She read about him. Learned what made him.. him. He was an excellent marksman. She'd never seen someone who could shoot so well. She helped him become even better, learn how to make his bullets easier.
She'd read his files in the downtimes. Whenever she'd sit in the conductor's area and just read. Read and read and feel her heart just ache for this poor soul who never once knew kindness since he formed.
Array didn't know when she came to feel that he was her son. Perhaps the fourth year, or the fifth. But at some point, she began feeling that overwhelming sense that this was her boy. She wanted to see him grow and to flourish.
It ached her heart when it was finally time for him to go. He'd hugged her so tight that day when he got the offer to work in the Adminspace. She'd never been more proud. All of her stickmen had hugged him, too. Every single one had, waving goodbye when he disembarked off at the stop. It'd been so bittersweet, but she knew he would fare well.
The Codespace Train felt oddly empty when he was gone. His small smiles, chuckles, all of it. He'd send her messages, yes, but it wasn't the same as seeing him face to face. She got to meet his lover. He spoke of his friends.
Oh, her boy, her boy. Array missed him so dearly. She'd seen him so few lately.
She couldn't ever leave the train. It needed her to run.
But sometimes she'd wonder. Was he okay?
Array got her answer some time ago. A customary message from the Adminspace Council. Her boy..
CPU was missing.
Array sat in the car, staring at the data pad. She read the message over and over again, staring down at the message. The most senior stickman, an orange one with blue swirls named Scone, sat on her shoulder.
The data pad clattered to the ground as she punched her nose. Scone's nub gently rested on her shoulder on solidarity.
She knew they probably weren't trying hard. The department he was a part of..
The conductor took off her cap and ran a hand through her hair. She stared at the controls.
Scone, gently, patted her shoulder in comfort.
"I hate those bastards sometimes. They hardly care," she whispers, and all Scone could do was nod as the gentle rumble of the train continued.
#program: array the conductor#scone the stickman#fanfiction: my writing!#!posts!#SURPRISE#CPU did have good in his life. TOO BAD I DECIDED TO RIP IT ALL AWAY

GitHub Copilot for Azure: New Tools Help AI App Development

GitHub Copilot for Azure
Azure at GitHub Universe: New resources to make developing AI apps easier
Microsoft Azure is to be part of this shift as a development firm that produces for other developers. Many of its employees will be at GitHub Universe to share their experiences and learn from others about how artificial intelligence is changing the way we work. I’m thrilled to share new features and resources incorporating Microsoft Azure AI services into your preferred development tools.
Microsoft’s AI-powered, end-to-end development platform, built on a solid community, seamlessly integrates Visual Studio (VS) Code, GitHub, and Azure to assist you in transforming your apps with AI. For more information, continue reading.
What is GitHub Copilot?
GitHub Copilot is an AI-powered coding assistant that makes it easier and faster for developers to create code. As developers type, it offers contextual aid by suggesting code, which could be a line completion or an entirely new block of code.
Code creation
Full lines and functions can be generated using Copilot. You can write code and have Copilot finish it or describe it in normal language.
Fixing errors
Copilot can remedy code or terminal errors.
Learning
Copilot can help you master a new programming language, framework, or code base.
Documentation
Copilot generates documentation comments.
A large language model (LLM) generates fresh content for Copilot by analyzing and processing massive volumes of data. It writes JavaScript, Python, Ruby, and TypeScript.
Copilot works in your IDE or command line. It’s also available on GitHub.com for enterprise users.
GitHub Copilot for Azure, your expert, is now available in preview
GitHub Copilot for Azure expands on the Copilot Chat features in Visual Studio Code to assist you in managing resources and deploying apps by connecting with programs you currently use, such as GitHub and Visual Studio Code. Without revealing your code, you can receive tailored instructions to learn about services and tools by using “@ azure.” Using Azure Developer CLI (azd) templates to provision and deploy Azure resources helps speed up and simplify development. Additionally, GitHub Copilot for Azure assists you with troubleshooting and answering inquiries regarding expenses and resources, allowing you to devote your time to your preferred activities while GitHub Copilot for Azure handles the rest.
Use AI App Templates to deploy in as little as five minutes
AI App Templates let you get started more quickly and streamline the review and production process, which speeds up your development. AI App Templates can be used directly in the development environment of your choice, including Visual Studio, VS Code, and GitHub Codespaces. Based on your AI use case or situation, GitHub Copilot for Azure can even suggest particular templates for you.
The templates, which offer a range of models, frameworks, programming languages, and solutions from well-known AI toolchain suppliers including Arize, LangChain, LlamaIndex, and Pinecone, most significantly give freedom and choice. You can start with app components and provision resources across Azure and partner services, or you can deploy entire apps at once. Additionally, the templates include suggestions for enhancing security, such as utilizing keyless authentication flows and Managed Identity.
Personalize and expand your AI applications
GitHub announced today that GitHub Models is currently in preview, bringing Azure AI’s top model selection straight to GitHub, enabling you to swiftly find, learn, and experiment with a variety of the newest, most sophisticated AI models. Expanding on that theme, you can now explore and utilize Azure AI models directly through GitHub Marketplace with the Azure AI model inference API. For free (use limits apply), compare model performance, experiment, and mix and match different models, including sophisticated proprietary and open models that serve a wide range of activities.
You can easily set up and connect in to your Azure account to grow from free token usage to premium endpoints with enterprise-level security and monitoring in production after you’ve chosen your model and are prepared to configure and deploy.
Use the GitHub Copilot upgrade assistant for Java to streamline Java Runtime updates
It can take a lot of time to keep your Java apps updated. The GitHub Copilot Java upgrade helper provides a method that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to streamline this procedure and enable you to update your Java apps with less manual labor. The GitHub Copilot upgrade assistant for Java, which is integrated into well-known programs like Visual Studio Code, creates an upgrade plan and walks you through the process of upgrading from an older Java runtime to a more recent version with optional dependencies and frameworks like JUnit and Spring Boot.
Using a dynamic build or repair loop, the assistant automatically resolves problems during the upgrade, leaving you to handle any remaining mistakes and apply changes as needed. By granting you complete control and enabling you to take advantage of improved AI automation at every stage, it guarantees transparency by giving you access to logs, code modifications, outputs, and information. After the upgrade is finished, you can quickly go over the comprehensive summary and check all code changes, which makes the process seamless and effective and frees you up to concentrate on creativity rather than tedious maintenance.
Use CI/CD workflows to scale AI apps with Azure AI evaluation and online A/B testing
You must be able to conduct A/B testing at scale and regularly assess your AI applications given trade-offs between cost, risk, and business impact. GitHub Actions, which can be easily included into GitHub’s current CI/CD workflows, are greatly streamlining this procedure. After changes are committed, you can use the Azure AI Evaluation SDK to compute metrics like coherence and fluency and perform automatic evaluation in your CI workflows. After a successful deployment, CD workflows automatically generate and analyze A/B tests using both custom and off-the-shelf AI model metrics. You can also interact with a GitHub Copilot for Azure plugin along the route, which facilitates testing, generates analytics, informs choices, and more.
You can trust Azure with your business, just as we trust it with ours
The platform you select is important as you investigate new AI possibilities for your company. Currently, 95% of Fortune 500 businesses rely on Azure for their operations. Azure is also used by its company to run programs like Dynamics 365, Bing, Copilots, Microsoft 365, and others. You have access to the same resources and tools that it use to create and manage Microsoft. Building with AI on Azure is made easier by its interaction with GitHub and Visual Studio Code. Additionally, Azure provides a dependable and secure basis for your AI projects with over 60 data center regions worldwide and a committed security staff. These are all excellent reasons to use Azure and GitHub to develop your next AI application.
GitHub Copilot pricing

FUCKING VIRTUAL CODESPACES.
CS50.dev has been shaky all evening and now it's suddenly stuck cycling between "Disconnected" and "Attempting to reconnect" and won't let me keep working. I was really in the groove too, had all the logic for my program laid out so nicely in my head. Ffs, this had better not delete all my work... I'm going to flip a table if it does >%O
I prefer working on local anyway, wish we didn't have to use these dumb online IDEs >:(((
