16.12.2023 // day 2/100 of productivity - I completely forgot about doing this 100 day challenge (oops) so I'm starting it again now since my exams are coming up in just a few months! I spent the day working through some of the harder topics and drew out some diagrams to help me understand them.

β˜• day 1/30 study x code challenge
i'm considering taking a philosophy course at some point in my degree instead of more psych. if you've taken philosophy before, what did you enjoy most/least about studying it? πŸ€”
πŸ“ˆ study stats (30/5/30): πŸ…πŸ…πŸ…πŸ…
πŸŽ’ school/cs50:
review as much psyc as possible (weeks 2-3) βœ…
read flask notes + re-watch parts of lecture as needed (half) βœ… (why are frameworks so hard for me to understand?)
🩺 self-care: (note to the inner bully: yeah, so humans need a lot to sustain themselves. what about it?)
journal βœ…
start-my-day routine βœ…
physio exercises βœ…
clean bathroom βœ…
wind down βœ… (?) (idk if i know how to wind down anymore, i'm so used to doing stuff, even mindlessly stimulating stuff, until i drop 😣)

I've seen a lot more people coming on Tumblr who are starting their coding journey, which is great! If you're just starting out with coding, here are a few tips that can help you get started and improve your skills:
1. Start with a language that is simple and easy to learn - These languages are designed to be beginner-friendly and will help you get a feel for the basics of coding. E.g. Python
2. Work through tutorials and online courses to learn the fundamentals of programming - There are many free resources available online that can help you get started, such as Codeacademy and Khan Academy.
3. Practice, practice, practice! - The more you code, the better you will get. Try to solve problems and write small programs on your own to improve your skills.
4. Don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it - There are many online communities, forums, and subreddits where you can get help and support from other programmers.
5. Keep learning and expanding your knowledge - As you gain more experience, try to learn new languages and technologies to broaden your skillset and improve your ability to solve complex problems.
I hope this helps and happy coding! πŸ’»πŸ‘πŸΎβ€οΈ

100 days of code - day 16
31.10.23 again ?
Hello! 😊
Today I did a project with HTML, JS and CSS. It is like a pixel art canvas, you can pick a color and draw some pixels.
I'm impressed with the reduction of time that I made the project, if compared with yesterday project I was I little faster today :)
I struggled a little when trying to make the dynamic size for the canvas and the click + holding event to draw the line, but after a lot of googling I managed to do it.
Tumblr media
This project was so fun to make. I always got excited when saw it slowly taking form.
I also added some cool buttons style:
Tumblr media
Now I have only one project left to finish the foundation path!
Tumblr media
That's it, I also made some rust exercises on rustlings, but not too much.
Now I'm going to πŸ›ŒπŸ˜΄πŸ˜΄πŸ˜ͺ

1/100 days of code.
12.22.23
i have started of this challenge by learning C++ through MIT's open course Introduction to C++ found here, where i studied the first lecture and read through the second. this course is designed to be completed in a 4 week term, but depending on my availability, it may stretch as i take breaks from it specifically, and then circle back on coursework to retain information learned. we shall see
#include
using namespace std;
.
int main(){
.....cout<<"Hello, world!\n";
.....return 0;
}

I'm thrilled to share that I recently completed the SheCodes Basic workshop and earned my certificate! πŸŽ‰ This immersive online program provided such a great introduction to web development concepts and skills.
Over the workshop, I gained so much useful knowledge about HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. The hands-on coding challenges let me apply what I was learning in a practical way. I'm proud of all the web pages, interactions and animations I coded from scratch!
I'll be starting the SheCodes Plus where we'll dive deeper into HTML. CSS, JavaScript, Bootstrap and more! Although I still can't decide if I want to be a Frontend Developer or go the Fullstack wayπŸ˜‘.
Here is a link to my final Basic project:

introductory post (◍‒ᴗ‒◍)✧*
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hellooo <3 I've been on Tumblr for a few years now, however, lately I have become a bit of a slacker in terms of my student and professional life and a lot of y'all have inspired me to get a studyblr + accountability blog to help keep myself in check, focused and driven
🌻 about me β™‘
name: tofu
age: 23
pronouns: she/her
zodiac: βŠ™ aries, ☽ scorpio, ↑ scorpio
languages I speak: english, hindi, japanese (beginner)
🌻 my favourite subjects β™‘
- academic: chemistry, cybersecurity, creative writing, biology, personal finance, physics, discrete math, intro to programming (the easiest part about a cs degree yet daunting)
- non-academic: cosmetic science, psychology, literature, ancient/modern history, physics, astronomy, linguistics
I'm trying to once again pick up hobbies that I used to have as a child, such as reading, singing, gardening, cooking/baking, scrapbooking
In my free time, I love watching asian soap operas, Studio Ghibli, and sitcoms that I'd like to call my comfort shows and video essays related to all my non-academic subject interests
I'm an undergrad student currently enrolled in a computer science/fintech double major and I'm preparing either to enter the workforce or pursue a masters in either quantitative finance or bioinformatics engineering or data science (wow, the existential crisis that came with typing up that sentence). I could also talk more about my interests in the above-mentioned subject areas, or new ones as they come up. My goal is to create a routine for myself that I can actually stick to, and spend each day having learnt at least something, no matter how small. I feel like the only way to achieve that is by comparing myself to my peers (I know that is v toxic but hey it helps). Additionally I really want to learn how to drive this year, learn to crochet and keep up with new technologies, do some art journalling to take my mind off stress.
I'm so excited to meet new people on here and keep myself busy and productive! ❀️

06&07.july23, fri; internship
my last day at the internship AND the "final" stage of my To-Do List with PHP, HTML and CSS:
add tasks by adding a date, the task, choosing a priority and "+" for submitting
tick off tasks you did with a checkbox
delete tasks
(make it look a lil bit prettier with CSS)
i had to present it (nightmare) to my coworkers at my internship today and it was... quite amazing? i could perfectly explain almost all of the data i put in the code and was able to answer ... most of their questions! :o it was SO amazing they even offered me an apprenticeship???? ahhhhhh (that's what i wanted i'm so so so so happy jkokjrjejjddkfkdkdkd)

100 Days of Code
17 ~ 23 of 100 days ✨
So in this week I started learning HTML and finished half of it ✨
Tumblr media
Its way easier than python which I am still studying (and struggling with. So many functions πŸ˜‚πŸ’”)
Tumblr media
How about you everyone?
Also thank you for the 100 hundred follower here in tumblr πŸ˜πŸ’–
You guys are my reason to keep going! Not only you inspire me but some times you leave comments in my posts about things to make my journey easier or simply writing your wins which made me so proud of you without even knowing you personally πŸ’–
Your wins are my wins so let’s keep working hardπŸ‘©πŸ»β€πŸ’» πŸ’–

mid-week update (aka i was feeling like posting an aesthetic post today, regardless of how much i actually get done)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
src: wallpapers.com + pinterest
these winter days, i often wake up and don't want to leave the warmth and softness of my bed or a stuffed toy 🧸 but then i tell myself it's not as bad as i think it is... and it usually isn't...
βœ… stuff done:
biked ~20 mins
journalled
finished 1 more function for cs50 finance (3/7 done)
rested in bed before lunch bc i was really tired (tryna get used to waking up at 8 πŸ˜ͺ)
groceries
for some reason, this year i'm really struggling with the long, long nights πŸ€·πŸ»β€β™€οΈ
πŸ“Έ media on my mind:
cozy writing vlogs (1 & 2) by christy anne jones (watched while exercising πŸ™‚)
write with me in a beautiful old library (watched up to the 24 min mark while journalling)
tips for surviving (and enjoying) dark winters by cecilia blomdahl (who lives in svalbard where they experience polar night 😬)
⭐ the tips ⭐ - keep a strict sleep schedule (e.g. always get up before 9am) (perhaps try using a wake up light?) - power of mindset: put your happiness into the small things in life (e.g. morning coffee/tea, a good book) - gear up and get outside for fresh air (e.g. go for a walk) - eat well (veggies!) and take necessary supplements (consult a doctor) - make your space one you love, especially if you spend a lot of time at home (e.g. add lights, rearrange furniture to your liking) - exercise (good for physical and mental health!) - work-life balance: make time to do things you love

Friday 22nd September 2023
I have been doing some coding the past few days but simply forgot to post about it... I have been working on doing the Computer Science path on codeacademy, learning about Python dictionaries and working with files like .csv and .txt!
Last night and today I have been working on the random project to test my skills with jQuery and SCSS!
Subjects I have been studying: ✧ Python (completed) ✧ SCSS (completed) ✧ jQuery (completed)

100 days of code - days 13-14
October 27th, 2023
Well, usually making my daily post is the last thing I do in a day, but yesterday I was so tired that I just went to bed 😴. So today is two days in one post.
Day 13 πŸͺ¨πŸ“œβœ‚️
Yesterday I practice JavaScript by making a classic rock, paper, scissors game. It's very simple, just take a user's input and plays against a randomly generated choice by the computer. For now, it's only a terminal game, but I'll use this logic to implement a game with graphic interface in the browser.
Day 14 πŸ›’
Today I read about DOM manipulation and events.
DOM (document object model) is a JavaScript object that allow us to modify the HTML of a web page. With this feature, we can create dynamic websites that the content can vary.
Events in JS and HTML let us handle some event, like mouse clicks, when the mouse is over something, key press, and others.
I did a little "app" to use this features that you can add and remove items from a shopping list.
Tumblr media
Clicking the button is the event that calls a function that insert the text into HTML.
That's it βœ‚οΈβœ‚οΈ, I'm enjoying doing this web dev stuff πŸ€“
Also, two weeks!! 😯😊

Daily Journey : Day 1
Tumblr media
This tumblr started with me just wanting to share my coding journey in November of last year.
No pressure of wanting likes, followers or anything like that. Just share in a safe place.
And I understand that now that has changed. Now I worry about the reach of my posts, I worry about people thinking I'm a failure and that I won't get things and likes.
And all this is useless in my life. I don't have to show anyone anything and I don't need to be liked, etc.
And I don't want that for myself.
So I thought about keeping my diary about this stage in my personal life private, as I already do with my emotions/days normally.
But I also think it might be cool to have that record here.
So, for now I'm here and overcoming my desire to start a tumblr from scratch (I always start something from scratch when I want to feel free). Now this idea is not so cool in my head. But I love seeing my old posts that I was thinking about giving up and now I'm in a better place.
Anyway:
Notes on the first day.
In general, I was very anxious, insecure because I don't know how to socialize with strangers who don't know what they're going to ask me. I need to know what is going to be said or know the subject to feel good. But it was nice and fun, they made it friendly.
We introduce ourselves in a fun way to get to know each other.
We learned more about project delivery and the like.
We had a 30m class where we talked about web introduction. Like mozilla, url, domain etc.
+++ I know that on tumblr the post photo dynamic is different, but I want to keep it standard. So I will follow my rules, because this is my account.
If you are reading this post, I wish you to be well, have discipline and consistency to achieve your goals.
Update notes:
As they leave the classes recorded, I went to watch it now and found a lot of doubts.
1. I paid attention on the recording (I don't pay attention live, maybe this will improve and maybe not)
2. I wrote down the questions
3. I researched each one and left some to ask in class because they want us to do this.
And now I'm feeling productive.
I didn't let it pile up, I did what had to be done and I'm ready for tonight's class.
I think I'll set the default of my posts for after rewatching the classes.
Have a great night, afternoon or morning.
