Tbh, I’m not too sad because it’s a show that has given us complete character arcs; I mean yes, there could be more to explore, but as it stands, it does seem like a complete product. Better for something to end on a high than be draggged onnnnnnnnnn and deteriorate.

What do we do once it’s done? REWATCH THE WHOLE THING AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have all the seasons downloaded and I’ll never stop turning to this show when I need a pick-me-up!

so as a research paper/presentation for my middle school english students, i assigned them each topics related to the arthurian legend (i have good reasons behind it, i swear i’m not just forcing them to research things i love lol) and long story short, the kid doing mordred just straight up gave me a synopsis of mordred’s arc on bbc merlin as their presentation.

also, when someone credited nimue with giving excalibur to arthur, the kid who had merlin got all mad and argued that merlin did it, using the storyline from season 4 when merlin used his powers to help arthur pull it out of the stone as his defense. 

so now a whole bunch of kids are seriously confused about the arthurian legends, and it’s all bbc merlin’s fault. way to go, guys, way to go.

Yay I just wanted to know if we're cool. (I would be very sad if I was no longer welcome in TTland. It's my favourite places ever :3) Anyway I've actually uninstalled this hellish app cause it had become too much for me to bear. I work full-time and study on the weekends and the last thing I needed was tumblr adding to the stress. I really just occassionally stalk my (3) fav blogs, yours included. 4 if you include your personal blog, which is pure GOLD. I don't actually remember my previous asks

save for one, it was basically me fangirling over Jennifer Winget, who I love, and girl, as someone who's watched beyhadh(which disappointed me as well, but well) I can assure you she's outranked all of the tellywood actresses ive ever seen. I'm so excited for her next show even though Its airing on colors (the SATAN of all channels, I've had such terrible experiences with it's shows)

I haven’t really seen any Colors shows... Other than Beintehaan, which was above average, I guess. I don’t ever have greaaaaaaaat expectations from any desi show coz I know they’ll all eventually fuck me over, but I’m cautiously optimistic for Bepannaah, purely for the Harshad/Jen pairing. I’m suchhhhhhhhh a sucker for pretty ppl, and since they’re being PAIRED, I gotta give this a try. Let’s hope it keeps me moderately entertained at least!

Jai Shri Krishna TT! (Lol my inner half-gujarati likes to make a random appearance sometimes) Hope all is well in TeeTeeLand. I already loved Annika, but recent episodes have reminded me with the force of a hundred storms why exactly. She's quite possibly the best female protag I have ever seen on Indian telly. Knowing how much you love her, would it be ok to request a post listing everything you love about Annika like you did for Omki?

TTLand functions as usual; chaotically and by some miracle/magic that is still unknown to me! Let’s not prod its inner workings too much, lest it fall apart! 😆😆😆

Here are some of the reasons I love Anika, in no particular order:

Fucking hilarious. From her weirdass vocabulary (which is now MY vocabulary) to her facial expressions, she makes me laugh so much. 

Fucked Shivaay Singh Oberoi uppppp at their very first meeting. Continues to fuck him up in various ways on a daily basis. (And he loves it!)

Is a proponent of girl love. Other than out-and-out chantumais, the girl is committed to forming friendships and supporting and making the life of every other girl she meets better. Even forgave and formed a friendship with the chief chantumai of her life, Tia, to the point that Tia was willing to help her out OVER Shivaay, whom she’s known for ages. Now that’s good girlfriendship.

That face. that smile of hers. the light of my goddamned life. what an angel/goddess. 

Has gone through literal hell since childhood but doesn’t use that as an excuse to be a horrible fucking person. Is still human sunshine, who brightens everyone’s lives up. 

Is the best sister ever. to the point that all her adopted brothers and sisters will fuck up anyone who looks at her wrong. Even the littlest one. Especially the littlest one. 

Two words: Naagin Dance. 

She just slayed my entire existence in those 3 minutes, bro. Shivaay was right to throw her over his shoulder and carry her off to the bedroom. But how he didn’t sex her up right against the wall though, I will never understand. 

The dictionary definition of loyalty. Ride or die for those she loves/believes in. Esp. for stupid Shivaay Singh Oberoi and these damn Oberois who didn’t really deserve it a lot of times. 

So pure and good that ~EVERYONE can’t help but be on HER team (over Shivaay, who is often their link to her in the first place.) OmRu, since day fucking 1. Dadi. Mallika. Tia. Advay Singh Raizada. HIS OWN FATHER. Samar picked Anika over his own damn sister and told her to lay off her. Shivaay HIMSELF picked her over his own mother. He took a fucking bullet for her. Like… what kinda sorcery?????? Have you ever seen one person inspire THIS MUCH LOYALTY???

Sass Queen™. 

The most relatable desi female protagonist for me, personally. Rooted and has some sanskaar, but not overlyyyyyyy focused on them. Not religious, and amazingly, doesn’t see it as her duty to reform the world and lecture random people on morality. Is shy at times, bold at times, is hella self-confident and will slay, but also has massive insecurities. Ego and tadi the size of a small house, but not a crazy narcissist. (Could be possible that Shivaay’s XXXXXXL ego makes hers look reasonable tho.) Organizational and administrative whiz and jack of all trades, but can cook only ONE thing well, which honestly, #relatable?????? Budgeting and financial genius, but doesn’t know how many zeroes are in one lakh. Not an optimist. In fact, is quite the pessimist and expects the worst when it comes to her own life, but always hopeful for OTHERS. Strong and stands up for herself and her self respect, but also falls weak to circumstances when they force her hand. Tries to do the right thing always, but also fucks up sometimes. In short, not a superwoman, just a regular girl, like the rest of us.

Shivaay: Slytherin. Come on, total no brainer. Obsessive focus on blood purity, cunning, will do whatever it takes to get what he wants (in both good ways and bad). Sometimes hates himself for what he is, but understands that someone needs to do the dirty work, and prefers that it be him. Can, and WILL murder you if you so much as think about touching a hair on his loved ones’ heads. 

Omkara: Ravenclaw. Snarky af. Introspective about life and relationships and everything. Can not only express himself in beautiful words, but also through art. Likes to silently observe more than participate, but will step up when he sees injustice and put forward the truth in cold hard facts. Can spend days in his solitude, trying to figure things out. This post puts Om in words better than I can.

Rudra: Hufflepuff. This post describes Rudra to a T. Is brave when required. Is smart when it’s needed. Is cunning when it’s called for. He’s an amalgamation of his brothers’ qualities, but still entirely his own person. Instantly forms bonds with the most unlikely people. Just so soft and sweet and kind. 

Anika: Gryffindor. Literal personification of the phrase “courage is not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it.” Cannot stand injustice. Ladaaku af. Will take a bullet for you. Will make decisions that are heart-stoppingly difficult, even if it means that her life will be altered (not necessarily for the best) forever. Life (and some other assholes) have repeatedly tried to beat her down and literally kill her, but she’s still standing, middle fingers high up in the air. Ain’t no one getting this girl down. 

Gauri: Hufflepuff. Pure sunshine, but also fierce af rage monster. She’s one of those people who you read about in the news, those moms who lift whole cars off their trapped babies by the sheer will of their emotion at the time. Never ever gives up. Kindness and love rolls off her in waves.Makes everyone feel like they’ve known her forever, and instantly fall in love with her and want to protect her. (Not that she needs their protection but she lets them indulge in their little fantasy to make them happy.)

Saumya: Ravenclaw. Self explanatory. Smart af, loves learning for the sake of learning, and helping others with their issues. Is a little bit one of those smart people who makes other people feel stupid, but never intentionally. She just can’t help gabbing on and on about something obsure and interesting. Always carries at least two books in her bag (not counting the ebooks in her electronic devices.) 

(Idk enough of Bhavya to sort her yet, but I think she’d be either a Gryffindor or Ravenclaw.)

… I can’t think of any HP AU headcanons right now (it’s half past 4 am where I am!), but I will surely make a posttttttt if I do!

I love saying “shona pakhi” which means “golden bird”. It’s a bengali term for endearment typically used by grandmas/older people so my friends really get a kick out of it whenever I use it in casual conversation and call them that
