“It was typical of Parker and his bullshit about the runway height*, whenever he got involved in the production side of anything Elvis did, he always messed it up which hurt Elvis' career. He came up with the idea of the satellite show for his own selfish reasons. Not just because of the money he made but this was his way of not having Elvis tour outside the U.S. because Parker did not want Elvis to do that without Parker travelling with him. . .” -Marty Lacker

My Thoughts on ELVIS (the movie and the man)
My Thoughts on ELVIS (the movie and the man)
Alright, happy October! Time to get back into this blogging thing, and what better way to start again than with a review of this film about my 2nd favorite singer of all time, Elvis Presley? Well, I don’t plan on doing a proper review, exactly, I’m just going to talk about what I think of the film. I still avoid theaters, so I didn’t see this film until it debuted on HBO Max. I have to say that I…

After two years of putting it off, I finally watch Baz Luhrmann Elvis movie. It freaking destroyed me. Every time Tom Hanks came on the screen as Col. Parker, I wanted to throw something at him.
It's historic what a destructive little monster Col. Parker was, but all the cards were laid out loud and clear in this film.
What Col. Parker did to Elvis is the same that has been done to Sky Ferreira by Capitol Records. It's despicable.
The moral of the story? Don't sign a damn thing without a lawyer in the room with you.
Elvis was literally worked to death. No wonder he couldn't take a shit for months.
I still say Austin Butler looked nothing like Elvis Presley, however, he got his spirit and soul perfectly down pact. No wonder Lisa was so behind this movie. They finally showed her father some compassion, something that was never really done on film or TV series.
Austin should have won an Oscar for this film the same way Val Kilmer should have won an Oscar playing Jim Morrison.

I can't imagine what that Priscilla movie did to Elvis' memory, especially since Lisa Marie expressed her pure hatred for that film. I'm still contemplating on seeing that one. Lana not even adding a song to the soundtrack says a lot.

Col. Parker & Elvis on December 19, 1968 at E's Hillcrest Home, Beverly Hills, CA.
Did you know that there was a time in the 70s when Elvis gave Colonel Parker a plane and he refused the gift? Yes, it happened in July 1975, the same year Elvis bought the Lisa Marie. The plane was a Grumman Gulfstream G-1, and Elvis decided to surprise the Colonel asking it to be delivered to Parker in Vegas on July 26. Colonel Tom Parker's words? "You've got to be kidding." There are lots and lots of high-dollar expenses involved in owning such a luxurious possession, such as a place to keep it safe from environmental action that can cause damage and degrade the fuselage of the aircraft more quickly, a crew to operate it, a crew to do the inspection and repairs when needed, gasoline, documentation and other general daily expenses. For all of this, Colonel turned down the gift immediately. It was common for Elvis to give gifts to people without even realizing that they were not in the same financial situation as him. The ones with less critical thinking would accept the expensive gifts, in the heat of the moment, even though they knew they could not afford the maintenance of, for example, expensive cars. Some, like the Colonel, refused these types of gifts. Elvis hated this, but he had to understand their reasons. In other occasions, Parker willingly accepted less lavishing gifts.

Elvis Presley’s 1962 Lockheed 1329 JetStar,
For decades, Lockheed’s JetStar was the executive jet of choice for countless A-listers, recognized dignitaries and star-studded celebrities, and this 1962 Lockheed 1329 JetStar is no exception, as it was once owned by the king of rock ‘n’ roll: Elvis Presley. Presley acquired it from OMNI Aircraft Sales Inc. on December 22, 1976 for the princely sum of $840,000.
When Elvis took ownership of this particular JetStar, registered with the FAA as N-20TF, the entertainer was no stranger to luxurious aviation acquisition. He had already amassed a modest fleet, which included a custom Convair 880 named the “Lisa Marie” that went by the call sign of Hound Dog 1, along with a second JetStar identified by its call sign of Hound Dog 2.
With a busy touring schedule, these crafts were needed to transport the singer, his TCB band, backup groups, Col. Tom Parker and the ever-present Memphis Mafia to venues, concerts and appearances all around the country. Elvis kept several pilots on retainer that were ready to fly him to adoring fans at a moment’s notice.
This JetStar is one of several private jets owned by Elvis Presley, with two currently on display at Graceland. Inside, the cabin features wood paneling and red velvet upholstery with gold-finish hardware. There’s seating for nine by way of six plush chairs that swivel and recline, along with a couch. An onboard entertainment system is tucked away in a media cabinet, featuring a television, RCA VCR player and audio cassette player, and headphone ports with audio controls are located at every seat. A galley contains storage and a meal-prep area complete with a Kenmore microwave and beverage dispenser. At the rear is a lavatory along with additional storage and cubby areas.
In the spring of 1977, the jet was sold, later ending up with a Saudi Arabian company. The JetStar was then moved to Roswell International Air Center (ROW) in Roswell, New Mexico, where it’s been stored for decades and resides to this day. The aircraft will require disassembly to be shipped, and coordinating assistance is available. Documentation joining the jet includes a copy of the Aircraft Security Agreement document signed by Elvis Presley, a copy of the Aircraft Bill of Sale and Official FAA Blue Ribbon documents. While the P&W engines and many cockpit components have been removed and no engines or replacement parts will be included with the sale of Elvis’ jet, it serves as an incredible restoration opportunity and a chance to create a unique Elvis exhibit for all the world to enjoy.
This JetStar is a truly rare bird with immense appeal and one that will do nothing but shake up the crowds at Mecum’s 2023 Kissimmee auction. Elvis and his effect on the music industry are known the world-over, and this opportunity for a new owner to acquire an extravagant piece of his aviation past is a momentous occasion with untold room for flights of rock ‘n’ roll fancy.

I finally got around to watching Baz Luhrmann’s Elvis (2022)... i procrastinated for so long just because I’m not a biopic person but I watched enough video essays on YouTube and decided to give it a chance.
I think it’s hit or miss.
The editing of course is phenomenal and so is the cinematography. But the fast-paced editing gets tiring after 30 minutes and it’s basically an almost 3 hour music video montage. I can understand if they did this style for the film’s opening or had some musical breaks in the middle of the story structure to keep things moving, but no basically the entire movie is like this one big montage. It should have been used sparingly but Luhrmann does nothing in moderation.
I’ve never been a big fan of his movies tbh... his style is unique, I’ll say that much but I honestly hated Moulin Rogue! and his take on Romeo + Juliet simply because I couldn’t get invested in his characters. Like most of Luhrmann’s films, it is pretty much style over substance. I watched one video essay which stated that at the end of the movie we still don’t really know who Elvis was and I kind of agree. Because the editing is so choppy and moves us quickly through Elvis’s life almost like a roller coaster at a carnival we never get a sense of who the characters are. We never stay with them long enough to develop an emotional connection to anything happening on screen. There’s a total disconnect because it’s just pretty to look at. Great visuals but no real meaning behind them. There’s really no linear storyline. We witness Elvis’s life through fragmented pieces.
For example, there’s a scene where his mother collapses on the stairs and dies and we get a quick 5 second dissolve to her lying in an open casket which fades to another 5 second dissolve to Elvis mourning his mother before we jump quickly to the next scene. This scene moves so fast that we can’t even digest what we’re seeing or be able to understand how the loss of his mother devastated him because it’s just a montage and not an actual scene. So I can’t say the screenplay has really great writing. The film seemed to be more focused on making a beautiful looking work of cinema and it is. It’s beautiful on the surface but movies don’t mean anything if you can’t feel an emotional attachment.
As for the positives:
I do like the idea of telling the story through Col. Tom Parker’s perspective. That was pretty creative. You almost get a Jesus Christ Superstar treatment, seeing Elvis as some mythical figure. They expertly hide his identity at the beginning of the film because it is being told through Col. Tom Parker’s POV. In this way we get an unreliable narrator. Elvis’s introduction is well done.
I love that Austin Butler does his own singing. He really does embody elvis and the casting here was on point. The soundtrack is great.
I do like the film having a more fantasy/ musical approach as opposed to being a straight up biopic. But I feel like if we took the editing of this movie and applied it to something with more of a coherent narrative it would have been a really good film.
I give it a C+ for effort. They recreated some historical moments really well. The costume/ hair/ make up department outdid themselves, not just on Elvis’s wardrobe but the extras looked great, too. Also nice to see some well-played cameos of B.B. King, Sister Rosetta Tharpe and Little Richard.
Stunning visuals overall but really lackluster screenplay that needed more work to make me care about the story and characters.
It was like watching a 2 hour and 40 minute music video with very minimal story.
I give it a 7.5/ 10 stars.

Wayne Harada is an entertainment writer, who in the 1970s was a leading reporter for the Honolulu Advertiser. He wrote with great enthusiasm about Elvis' performances in Hawaii, and penned possibly the definitive review of the Aloha From Hawaii concert. The line, 'A thrilling compact hour, long on music, loud on screams' has been widely quoted, including by leading Elvis biographer Peter Guralnick.
Elvis had also played three shows in Honolulu in November, 1972, which Wayne Harada also reviewed;
"...Elvis Presley remains one of the most electrifying showbiz marvels - an incandescent musical force who's a legend in his own time. And the 26,000 fans who took in his three sellouts at the H.I.C. Arena over the weekend will long remember Presley's mystique, the charisma and that indelible animal magnetism that combined to make him a Big Leaguer nearly two decades ago... when he hits that stage, there's no denying. Elvis is a champ, the king of rock, a living American myth..."
Harada was one of a minority of concert reviewers who appreciated the talents of warm-up comedian, Jackie Kahane;
"...Comic Jackie Kahane turned out to be a pleasant opening surprise. His gags are witty, timely, and above all, clean. And unlike so many others, Kahane quits when he's ahead, never overstaying his welcome..."
Tumblr media
Reviewing the January 14th, 1973, satellite broadcast show, he described the Honolulu International Centre (with reduced capacity to accommodate the broadcast equipment) as a 'supersized TV studio' with camera crews everywhere, "on stage, in the aisles, in the audience, zooming in on Presley and his breakthrough performance."
"...Perhaps only a phenomenon like Presley could pull off such a coup, at such a wicked showgoing time - 12.30 am curtain, Hawaii time - yet draw a full house..."
He referred to the show as 'smartly paced and packaged to suit all camps in the Presley following', noting the effective blending of older songs and later hits.
(The setlist had been put together by Elvis, Red West and Charlie Hodge).
The inclusion of local musicians in the orchestra was noted with appreciation, as was Kui Lee's ballad, I'll Remember You, and the fact that the gate was a benefit for the cancer research charity in his name;
"...For the Hawaii audience, his I'll Remember You vocal easily was the most sentimental. The Presley version retained the Hawaiian flavour, but also capitalized on the International scope of the tune; it easily could emerge as Presley's next No. 1 hit..."
"...Yesterday's show reaffirms Presley's and manager Col. Tom Parker's philanthropic fondness for Hawaii. Like the enduring nature of Kui Lee's music, the incandescence of Presley is incomparable..."

Elvis and Austin!Elvis Ask game:
Thanks for the tags, @aconflagrationofmyown and @mesbouquins !! Let’s start off gently shall we? Because this most definitely devolves into thirsty madness later, you’ve been warned…and also, we are all at various stages in the Elvis fandom, some of us have been suckling the gospel of EP from birth, others just had their sexual awakening with the 2022 movie, and then there’s the ones among us with frickin’ doctorates on the man. All are welcome, it keeps us colorful. Feel free to pick and chose which of these you want to answer
•When and what was your first exposure to Elvis Presley?
His was always around--pretty much listened to oldies, Disney, and musicals only when I was a kid. But my first true memories are from my late teens/early 20s because my dad was a huge fan. We got him the mega set of Elvis CDs and he listened to them like crazy. I remember one time it was literally the middle of the night and he was BLASTING Elvis from the huge stereo in the living room! It was hilarious. Then, the REAL turning point was watching That's The Way It Is with my parents. I'd never seen E perform live and it was quite the life changing experience and then I was HOOKED.
•And what was your first impression?
I've always liked his music! I was NOT into the later 70s schtick that was seemingly everywhere, like with the impersonators and such. But with TTWII, I was like, "Holy hell, this guy is crazy talented and mesmerizing and nuts on stage and REALLY GOOD LOOKING" and I couldn't stop watching.
•Lace shirts or jumpsuits?
Lace shirts! I love that he was doing that in the 50's. I am generally not a jumpsuit fan, save for the white rivulet one from TTWII. The white and black herringbone suits from the first Vegas shows in '69 are really where it's at--Those are my faves! EP just doesn't need all the extra embellishment since he's so stunning as is. The ornate jumpsuits just remind me of how he started to go downhill in the 70's with his health and drug use and such. There are only a couple that I can stand, tbh.
•You can steal one of Elvis/Austin’s outfits, what’s it going to be?
I love the black/pink/white lace shirts/pants combos from the 50's. BUT we all know that I'm living for his scarf era in '69. I'd wear all the scarves!!
•C’mon, we know you’ve been watching/reading old interviews and random footage of the man, so what’s your favorite random Elvis quote?
OMG there are SO MANY that I don't even know where to start. "My boy, my boy" and the "touching body with hands--hands with body" from '68 Special. His monologues from Vegas '69. The '72 Elvis On Tour outtakes when he doesn't realize he's being recorded and talks about how he missed the rocket launch because he was "buried in a beaver" kills me. When he tells the TTWII crowd that he's totally insane. Any time he stutters. His speech from the Jaycees makes me cry. I honestly just love listening to him talk.
•Did you find Austin Butler’s lips distracting despite them being in a movie about the King of plush upper lips? (Be honest now)
They were 1,000% distracting!
•What’s an aspect of Elvis’ character you wish more people appreciated?
A lot of things! I think a lot about how dedicated he was to his fans, family, and friends at the expense of his own health and wellbeing. I WISH more people knew just how sick he was and how much pain he was likely going through every day just to exist (much less perform) and how he rarely showed it. There was a reason he took all those drugs, ya know? The list of conditions he was suffering from is INSANE, and many of them were inherited or from birth (and not drug related). Of course, the drug use spiraled out of control, but I understand why. His sense of humor. His sensitivity. How charitable he was. Not just officially, but in everyday life, too. He helped raise money to start St. Jude's. He'd give away the shirt off his back. Honestly, there were so many charitable things he did.
•You meet Col. Tom Parker for the first time, forewarned with the knowledge of what a scumbag he is, what do you do?: A. nothing, you’re a coward who doesn’t care about abused golden-hearted men B. you give the Colonel a stern telling off C. you encourage Elvis to leave him and break the contract E. you slap a legal document against that fat suit and declare “Mrs. Claus is bringing you a lawsuit” F. you waste no time with formalities, it’s a letter opener to the juggler for that piece of trash
LOL. Welllll, here's the thing. Parker was instrumental in Elvis' rise to fame in the 50s. He had the connections and the carny instincts to get Elvis to the top and I can't help but be glad for that. HOWEVER, I think once E came back from the Army, Parker should have gotten the boot immediately. I would go back to THAT moment, before it all spiraled to try and change things. I would say C and E? I'm not great with confrontation, but with that man, I'd probably want to punch him in the face.
•What was your favorite aspect/scene from the Elvis 2022 movie?
Austin's overall dedication to his performance and to Elvis and his legacy. The music was amazing. And the last scene, ohhhh, that last scene in '77 was masterfully emotional with the mix of Austin!Elvis into Real!Elvis and the real footage. I LOST MY SHIT when I saw it for the first time (having already been an Elvis fan). I'm not sure I've ever been so emotional over a scene like that. I was having a breakdown in the back of the theater.
•You can choose only one song or piece of media to convince someone to become an Elvis fan, what is it going to be?
This is SO HARD because I really think it depends on the person you are trying to get to be a fan! I might choose That's The Way It Is for the mix of his humor, rehearsals, and he is just in PEAK vocal and physical form. It has a little bit of everything that makes him who he is. The If I Can Dream performance would be good, too.
•How many children would you give Elvis Presley from your own -or theoretical- womb? (listen to the beast in ya, your feminism won’t serve you here)
I just...I'm not into babies, man. I can't do it. I'm fine with other people's kids but I want to give them back as soon as it gets dicey. And with EP's Madonna complex, I wouldn't want to cuz then he wouldn't want to have sex with me anymore, soooo...my decision is clear. LOL
•Where are you hanging out with EP, his bedroom with the teddy bears, Club Handy, his private jet or Graceland?
Listen, I'm all for his 50's bedroom BUT the teddy bears in the 50s were creepy! I'd probably say Graceland.
•What is the peak Elvis era? warning, this says an awful lot about you…
I think we ALL know my answer to this! Peak Elvis is '68-70, SPECIFICALLY 1969. Followed closely by post-Army 1960.
•How long have you been an Austin Butler fan (be honest now, God is watching)
Literally had no clue who he was until this movie.
•What kind of Elvis chick are you? -a 1950’s prospective wife material that he’s already sampled, a 1960’s filmset fling or a Vegas torrid backstage affair?
Oh, lord...can I be all three?? I want to be all three! Naw, but based on my personality, I'd probably end up being the 50's wife material.
•Is Austin Butler an honorary southerner now? Answer options: A. hell no, California can keep his sweet cheeks. B. hell yes, he’s practically been possessed by the soul of the King of the South
B. I am convinced he was possessed and therefore deserves honorary Southern status.
•Pick your poison in the fan-fiction realm: angst, fluff, smut, fluffy smut, angsty fluff, angsty smut?…or is reading about Elvis Presley an acknowledged health hazard?
HAHAHAHA I'm sure this is a *shocker* but angsty smut or fluffy smut.
•Spit or swallow for this man? (And if you don’t understand this question move right along)
Look, I am not a swallower. I wish I was. I'm not sure I have it in me. I would try for EP but I might risk vomiting all over him, sooooo...
•Would Gladys approve of you? Take your above answer into consideration
I think so? I can be a bit shy (LOL i know) but I'd also be dedicated to her son.
•Which of Elvis’ cars is your favorite?
Cars don't do it for me. If it runs and has AC, I'm good. The 50's Caddys were pretty, though.
•What are your odds for besting this man at karate?
Zero to none. UNLESS you count stripping all my clothes off as a distraction, in which case, I would win.
•If you could meet Elvis and have enough composure to tell him something, what would it be?
Oh god. this is so hard for me to put into words. Maybe how amazing his legacy is 45 years after he's been gone and how the love he's spread seems to defy space and time and how he's still managing to help people connect to each other because of him.
•What’s a hobby or pastime of yours you wish you could share with Elvis/Austin!Elvis
Musical theater! I just have this feeling he would've gotten a huge kick out of the musical SPECTACULARS that came out of the 80's/90's/early 00's. I mean the flashiness of Phantom alone, come on (capes! costumes! gold chandeliers! pretty girls! LOL). And some of the challenging powerhouse voice roles would have been right up his alley, I think. Also that idea that you could be in a musical in a really dramatic role (not the happy-go-lucky stuff he was doing in the 60s) I think might have appealed to him. I think with a little more training and his ability to sing well in so many genres would have suited him well, too.
•What’s the Elvis 2022 quote you’ve been mumbling to yourself ever since you heard it?
"I'm Elvis Presley, and that's what I do!"
•What are your top 3 go-to Elvis songs?
Ugh. You can't do this to meeee. THERE ARE TOO MANY. It depends on my mood! Fine, okay. FINE. I'll choose. But I reserve the right to change my mind. LOL.
Trying to Get to You (live, '68 Special, second sit down show)
Just Pretend (live, That's The Way It Is, midnight show 1970)
Without Love (There is Nothing) (Elvis Back in Memphis 1969--I'm so upset he never did this one live...)
•If you could spare him one tragedy what would it be?
All his health problems and the fact that they would have killed him early even w/o the drugs. I truly think the drugs would not have been such an issue if he hadn't been suffering so much. Read Elvis: Destined to Die Young by Sally Hoedel. It is incredibly tragic to me how his body failed him and equally tragic how it was so unknown at the time what was wrong and how the sensationalism of the drugs and dying in the bathroom affected his legacy for so long. See my post from the anniversary of his death for more information on this, if you so desire. I will die on this hill of spreading awareness that he wasn't just a burnt out drug addict. I loved the movie, but it's one part that I think really could've been handled better.
•Is there a modern artist that sorta scratches for you the itch that Elvis’ absence leaves?
No. EP was one of a kind. I mean, I love music and many different artists, but no one hits the same as Elvis.
•How did you react at the end of the movie when In the Ghetto started to play A. I got up and fixed a snack because I have no soul, B. I left feeling alarmingly horny, C. I was impressed but didn’t realize how affected I was until days later when it was still with me D. I cried buckets they had to bring in a mop E. I may have appeared emotionless but in fact my soul was leaving my body and I don’t think it’s returned quite yet
D. Literally D and a little of E. The fact that Baz had the audacity to hit us with Unchained Melody and that real!Elvis montage and THEN slam us with In the Ghetto...I had chills. Still do. And I am not exaggerating in the least when I say I was stifling my gut-wrenching sobs so people wouldn't think I was having a breakdown (I was. I was sobbing and unsure if I could actually get in my car and drive home. Then I cried all the way home. And some more when I got home. Don't judge me, I was going through some things LOL)
•If you’ve got a favorite gif or photo insert it here and bless us all

⚡Elvis Ask Game!⚡
First of all thanks @alienelvisobsession for sending this to me! ♡
♡ When and what was your first exposure to Elvis Presley?
I was ten years old and I've never heard of him as I can recall. Maybe I had a very vague idea, but I've never seen a picture of him or heard any songs.
Anyway, I had this tradition of watching movies at night with my parents, and one night they told me: "Hey Laura, do you want to see an old movie?" I loved classic movies and I still do, so all excited I said yes right away. It was Jailhouse Rock.
You can picture me there, as a little girl, seeing Elvis Presley for the first time in my life, having my biggest romantic awakening. I had childhood crushes before but man, I was obsessed. It lasted a few months for me, the obsession faded away but since then I always had this appreciation over him.
Then the Elvis 2022 movie came out, and because I LOVE Freddie Mercury and Elton John and I LOVED both biopics, I had to see this one too! I couldn't help but fall in love all over again with Elvis.
The long time ago forgotten crush and obsession of my childhood came back in a flash, and I couldn't help it. And now here I am, and I'm afraid this time won't fade away that easily ⚡
♡ And what was your first impression?
Well you can imagine! I saw him on Jailhouse Rock and the first thing I thought was that he was super handsome. Then hearing him sing in the singing scenes made me fall even harder like, "he can sing too?? this man is perfect!!! I mean, he is handsome and sings like that??" And not only that, but the movie has romantic scenes with him. It was romantic awakening all the way for me ♡
♡ Lace shirts or jumpsuits?
Lace shirts for me, but the jumpsuits are iconic!!
♡ You can steal one of Elvis/Austin’s outfits, what’s it going to be?
So hard to pick, the man had style and there are so many outfits I love. This is not necesarilly my favourite, but pink suits him a lot and I love this picture ♡
Tumblr media
♡ C’mon, we know you’ve been watching/reading old interviews and random footage of the man, so what’s your favorite random Elvis quote?
As I love his sense of humour here it is:
“What are you laughin' at? This is my first guitar, I was little. I told you. Little bitty cat tryin' to get people to listen to me.”
♡ Did you find Austin Butler’s lips distracting despite them being in a movie about the King of plush upper lips? (Be honest now)
I loved Austin in the movie, and I found him handsome obviously, but not necesarilly distracting.
♡ What’s an aspect of Elvis’ character you wish more people appreciated?
His sense of humour please! He was always willing to laugh and trying to make others laugh. He used to say that laughing is pure freedom, like being a child again. I wish people were more aware of this side of him
♡ You meet Col. Tom Parker for the first time, forewarned with the knowledge of what a scumbag he is, what do you do?: A) nothing, you’re a coward who doesn’t care about abused golden-hearted men B) you give the Colonel a stern telling off C) you encourage Elvis to leave him and break the contract D) you slap a legal document against that fat suit and declare “Mrs. Claus is bringing you a lawsuit” E) you waste no time with formalities, it’s a letter opener to the juggler for that piece of trash
I get so nervous when there's conflict around, so I tend to avoid it. But if someone harms a person I love, then I always try to stand up for them. I would first go with C, trying to convince elvis to break all contact with the Colonel, then I would go with D, but if that doesn't work… well i think you know what is next 💀
♡ What was your favorite aspect/scene from the Elvis 2022 movie?
I loved the movie in general, but I enjoyed a lot the Hayride scene and all the young elvis part of the movie, as that era is my favourite
♡ You can choose only one song or piece of media to convince someone to become an Elvis fan, what is it going to be?
It's so hard to choose!! But I'll stick into reality and say what I actually chose to show to my best friend about Elvis: His performances of Don't be Cruel in the Ed Sullivan show. There's just something about those performances that I can't help to love. His charisma, goofiness, and how he makes all her fans crazy just by making a simple gesture
Tumblr media
♡ How many children would you give Elvis Presley from your own -or theoretical- womb? (listen to the beast in ya, your feminism won’t serve you here)
Well I have to be realistic here. I'm not so much into kids and I don't want to have any, so I guess I wouldn't give him any… But I wouldn't mind trying 👀
♡ Where are you hanging out with EP, his bedroom with the teddy bears, Club Handy, his private jet or Graceland?
His bedroom with teddy bears!! 🐻♡

♡ What is the peak Elvis era? warning, this says an awful lot about you…
Again hard to choose ugh... I will say pre-army/army Elvis, and 68' Comeback Special Elvis!

♡ How long have you been an Austin Butler fan (be honest now, God is watching)
I knew he existed, but until I watched the Elvis movie I didn't even know his name lol
♡ What kind of Elvis chick are you? -a 1950’s prospective wife material that he’s already sampled, a 1960’s filmset fling or a Vegas torrid backstage affair?
Can I be Ann-Margret please? 🥺♡
♡ Is Austin Butler an honorary southerner now? Answer options: A)hell no, California can keep his sweet cheeks. B) hell yes, he’s practically been possessed by the soul of the King of the South
B. Hell yes, now there's no turning back for him!
♡ Pick your poison in the fan-fiction realm: angst, fluff, smut, fluffy smut, angsty fluff, angsty smut?…or is reading about Elvis Presley an acknowledged health hazard?
I dont read a lot of fan-fiction but if I had to choose I would stick to fluffy smut, it has the best of both worlds
♡ Spit or swallow for this man? 🤫
♡ Would Gladys approve of you? (this should not be right in line after that last question but here we are)
Well I don't really know since I dont want any kids and marriage. I'm sure that she wouldn't like that part of me. But I'm a sweet and caring person, so maybe she would appreciate that
♡ Which of Elvis’ cars is your favorite?
Right now I'm reading June Juanico's book, and she mentions how in their first date he picked her up with his black and pink 1955 Ford Fairlane Victoria. That's my favourite!!

♡ What are your odds for besting this man at karate?
I mean I was in a karate academy when I was a kid, but I quit because a little girl 5 years younger than me hit me in the stomach. So there you have it lol.
♡ If you could meet Elvis and have enough composure to tell him something, what would it be?
Well after I dramatically faint a couple of times… I would make him see how much loved he is all around the world, how he inspires and bring joy to a lot of people even after all of this time. How he will never be forgotten because after all he made history ⚡♡
♡ What’s a hobby or pastime of yours you wish you could share with Elvis/Austin!Elvis
I think we would share our love for music and cinema. And I'm a very open minded person in mystical matters too, so I'm pretty sure we would've shared that too, specially astrology, as I'm super interested in it
♡ What’s the Elvis 2022 quote you’ve been mumbling to yourself ever since you heard it?
"If you're looking for trouble… you came to the right place" lol I just couldn't stop saying this all the time
♡ What are your top 3 go-to Elvis songs?
I can't choose just three, omg. It depends on the day so these aren't necessarily my favourites. Today I'll say "Love me", "Don't be cruel" and "You'll never walk alone"
♡ If you could spare him one tragedy what would it be?
The death of Gladys. I feel that her death was definetly what ended up breaking Elvis, he felt so lonely without her. If she was alive she would've kept him safe and loved
♡ Is there a modern artist that sorta scratches for you the itch that Elvis’ absence leaves?
Well my 3 most loved artists are Elvis, Freddie Mercury and Elton John. I feel like the fact that Elton is still alive and making music makes me feel more at ease with that ♡
♡ How did you react at the end of the movie when In the Ghetto started to play? A) I got up and fixed a snack because I have no soul B) I left feeling alarmingly horny C) I was impressed but didn’t realize how affected I was until days later when it was still with me D) I cried buckets they had to bring in a mop E) I may have appeared emotionless but in fact my soul was leaving my body and I don’t think it’s returned quite yet
Well I was crying and sobbing like a baby long before it started to play so I'll stick with D lol
