Gavin Newsom has turned his coat.

This is beyond disappointing, beyond terrifying, beyond catastrophic.

California is the biggest state. Of all the states, it is the one that could most effectively resist the fascist MAGA regime, and provide a sanctuary for marginalized people it targets.

Instead, Governor Newsom has apparently chosen to throw trans people systematically under the bus in order to suck the dick of Reich-wing talking head Charlie Kirk.

California is not a safe state for trans people. Frankly, I do not think it is a safe state for anyone.

Remember this when this motherfucker tries to come in as the Democrats' Great White Male Hope next Presidential primary. He cannot be trusted. He is an opportunistic coward. If he will sell out trans people to pander to people who will never support him anyway, he'll sell out anyone and anything else if he thinks it's convenient.

Hopefully we can get someone better in as governor of CA when his term ends, if there's still an America by then. Any chance Kamala Harris is interested in running for Governor?

Attorney General Merrick Garland has ordered the Federal cases against Trump wound down.

This is the first thing, I think, since last night that made me feel real rage.

Trump tried to lynch Congress and murder the Vice President on January 6th. He almost put the NUCLEAR FOOTBALL in the hands of the Proud Boys. Police officers were viciously beaten. People died.

Then he stole top secret documents and probably gave or sold them to foreign enemies.

And now he just gets to walk, with the swift compliance of our Attorney General.

The Department of Justice has a long-standing policy not to prosecute a sitting president (though can investigate one), and we know Trump will order those cases ended, but Garland did not have to do so in advance.

And maybe if he had acted faster, Trump would already have been in prison now.

He just signed off on January 6th and espionage, because he has accepted the perpetrator as his master. He has chosen to Obey in Advance. And he has made sure that we do not have to wait for Trump to replace him to see the office of Attorney General negated and debased.

Jack Smith, or someone on his team, should immediately leak all documents they have, even the top secret stuff, to ensure its preservation. There is no rule of law now. The President-elect is a criminal. The only choices are to obey, or collaborate.

Garland has made his. And I sincerely hope that I have the privilege of pissing on his grave one day. Assuming his new master does not have his body dumped in an unmarked one.
