24/100 days of productivity

today was my last day of classes for the year! i wish i had more pictures to commemorate but i was super busy and i am so tired... classes may be over but i still have assignments and an exam to study for!

Remember Your WHY.

As we enter into the new academic year, we can get swept up in the newness of fresh classes, different textbooks, new (and sometimes creative) notes, and challenging assignments while trying to balance personal care/hygiene and potential extracurriculars. Thus, in the midst of all of this, some of us tend to forget our WHY; WHY we are in college. WHY we are pursuing the majors we are enrolled in. WHY we are getting caught up in the hustle of “gotta get it done, gotta do it right, must be among the top.” This can ruin us slowly but surely, as things tend to become about JUST the grades instead of the learning experience; JUST the recommendations and not about getting to know how our professors truly see us as individuals. It is up to no one but us to be reminded of why we are where we are and why we are doing what we’re doing. 

For me, my WHY is very clear: i’m using my grades and academic performance to graduate at the top of my class next May and get as many scholarships as possible in order to cover grad school in Scotland next September (grad school and my living situation). My WHY is graduate school in Scotland. I know that I am capable of getting All A’s this semester and year, and I am mentally ready for the semester to begin. It is WILD that my semester begins in exactly 6.5 days (aka next Tuesday), but at the same time, I feel it in my spirit that I’m going to be so successful in all of my academic endeavours this year that my dream of receiving scholarships to fully pay for my graduate studies in Scotland (and housing and supplies) will come true. 

All in all, remember your WHY and you will never lose track of your ultimate goals.

The intro section for my classroom management class was surprisingly short! If I'm being honest I'm pretty nervous about this class 🥺

We need to get 15 hours of volunteering and I'm glad I didn't take another class that requires this. All my upper levels require hours but I guess that's good for networking. Being A substitute teacher doesn't hurt either🤓

I came to the students' dormitory at that time just to take photos of it, I didn't know that Erwin and Rista live there too. It's fun to meet them.
