YESTERDAY WAS A VERY GOOD DAY. LadiesCon was SO COOL. The vibes were honestly immaculate. The Boston indie comic artist community is a chill space full of kind and generous weirdos.

Special shout out to those who came to my table to tell me that they read Little Death Vol 1 and enjoyed it. Thank you SO MUCH. That seriously means the world to hear. I started Little Death to create my first indulgent work of horror fantasy fiction, far away from the self-censoring impulses that plagued me in earlier original projects I tried to do. It makes me feel genuinely uplifted to learn that I’m among kindred spirits in dark fiction.

I’m really embarrassed that I didn’t catch the name of the artist who gave me the glittery sticker, so if anyone knows them please lmk. They were very kind and this sticker is so cool!

I've been remiss in thanking an awful lot of people --have been fortunate enough to have made a lot of appearances lately and it has been just SO re-invigorating. Grateful shout-outs to the meticulous planners and organizers of Wicked Comic Con, and to the amazing folks at JetPack Comics in Rochester for one of the best-ever Free Comic Book Day celebrations that I've ever been privileged to be a part of. Also much gratefulness to Comicazi in Davis Square, to Double Midnight Comics (new Manchester location!), and of course to Tony and everyone at my beloved Million Year Picnic in Cambridge. I've more appearances planned throughout 2023 and some unexpectedly NEW stuff is taking shape --new commissions, new illustration assignments, new ideas for the critically important ongoing #blacklivesmatter sketchcard series, and of course The Monitor's Guild, Book III, which has sat idle QUITE long enough, thank you.

To my dearest friends and beloveds and supporters who've made the effort to drop by my table, or reshare a link, or just plain give my artwork a "like" every now and then --you are treasure beyond price. We artists and illustrators are nothing without you folks, and I try to remember that fact every single day.

my local comic store is doing a fanfic reading event this week (Comicazi in Davis Square, for any Boston peeps who might be into that) and I ultimately decided I didn’t want to participate but this fic was at the top of my list for when I was trying to figure out if I had anything I could read because who doesn’t want to yell about balls in public
