hello baldurs gate 3 community again: This time im talking about modding!

hello adventurers and shifty-eyed people, I bring to you some important stuff. Mod compilations! Below the cut, if you are interested, I have compiled a few things for what I think the bg3 tumblr modding community wants (based on me being in the tag for a month straight). Things I have compiled include: - Super basic install of baldur's gate 3 mod manager (and a bit of vortex) (9 Easy Steps!) - My OWN special "Computer helper" mod bundle with super easy installations (helps it run on my piece of crap laptop who hates me so much but I love her <3) - Companion and player mods (visuals only, and like de-ab-ing and stuff, I'm not going around adding all the extra eye colour mods) INCLUDING TRANS TOP SCARS AND DADBOD MODS + MORE - Some personal favourite mods that really helped enhance my experience. Enjoy! (if you enjoy bg3 modding, please consider reblogging because I think posts with links are still shadowbanned in the tag lol)

HOW TO GET THE MOD LOADER FOR BG3 IN 3 EASY STEPS

go to the github download page and scroll down until you see the first downloadable file that reads "BG3ModManager_Lastest.zip"

extract the file into an accessible area (your downloads folder should work fine, I just put it on my desktop) (just anything that won't require you to give admin permissions to download it. I would also keep this off Local Disc (C:) for convenience) You can use any free extractor program, 7zip works, i used to use Peazip and now I use Breezip and that works well.

Tada! You should have an open folder in your extracted location. 2 things may happen here: You will get the extracted folder with the other documents inside. Congrats, you're done! If you have an extracted folder with ONLY the .exe file in it, go back into the zip file and drag the other files into the folder. This should fix the problem, all files from the zip need to be there to work.

(OPTIONAL) you CAN use Vortex mod manager to manage your bg3 mods on there, in which case any nexusmods mod will have a direct download button for you. Personally I have my subnautica mods loaded from there so bg3 is unavailable.

HOW TO MOD BALDURS GATE 6 IN EASY STEPS + SCRIPT EXTENDER

Make sure you have Baldur's Gate 3 Installed. I have it on steam, I don't know how to help with EA, sorry.

open your file explorer/documents. Go to Admin -> AppData -> Local -> Larian Studios* -> Baldur's Gate 3 (leave launcher alone). Create a mods folder if you don't already have one, but one should have been created on your first bootup. DO NOT CLOSE THIS TAB. THIS TAB STAYS OPEN UNTIL YOU ARE DONE MODDING. * I also just search Larian Studios in Local Disc (C:) but that does take some time to load

Congrats, you're ready to mod! Now, most good mods will need something called the Baldur's Gate 3 Script Extender. You can find the download page here, and this time you're going to hit the green "code" button. Ignore everything else. Hit download zip

Extract the file again, but this time into Local Disc (C:) -> Program Files (86x) -> Steam -> Steamapps -> common -> Baldur's Gate 3 -> bin* ** * MAKE SURE to extract it to the bin folder. Some other mesh and texture mods use the data bin, so confusing them is bad. ** you CAN directly extract the folder to the bin, but I personally find it easier to extract the zip back into downloads, then open my other file explorer and click and drag the whole extracted file into the bin folder

The fun part begins! Go find some mods you like (nexusmods mostly, gamebanana MAY have some). Extract folder to your mods folder in larian studios -> baldur's gate 3 -> mods. ONLY DRAG THE .PCK FILE. YOU DO NOT NEED ANY OTHER FILES UNLESS THE MOD MAKER SAYS SO.

USING THE MOD LOADER: you are done with file explorers! Go ahead and boot up the bg3modmanager.exe file from earlier. Any INACTIVE MODS must be CLICKED AND DRAGGED over to the ACTIVE MODS side. If you don't see any mods, hit the blue circle refresh button. After that, hit the "export order to game" button right beside "export". If you see a green popup at the bottom, you are good to go!

All done! You are now on your modding journey! (if you have any outlying problems, my dms are open and there is a whole host of modders out there with answers!)

NOW TO THE FUN PART: MOD PACKS!

My own Game Optimizer Pack (basic): includes General Fixes (general bug fixes), Improved UI & Improved UI Assets (necessary for customization mods), and Mod Fixer (necessary for mods to work) *you CAN download all of these files individually from https://www.nexusmods.com but this is basically. a short version of that.

This one is based off of Ashley Kutcher's Love You More - give it a listen while you read if you want the full experience!

Climbing out of his car, Steve sighs. Describing the day as long is the ultimate understatement. In the world of being a school nurse, being busy with the weirdest stuff is one of the job descriptions. Sometimes, a handful of a very few, rare days, Steve is fed up with it.

Today is that day.

Darcy Monroe coming in at first bell starts off the madness – she’s been on the playground digging in the dirt again, Steve knows that before the messy girl says anything. Her fingernails are covered in a mixture of blood and the red till that sits right below the grass’s surface. The tears in her eyes are no match for the look of triumphant Steve still can’t help but laugh at.

Next of the day is Tommy Shaw, a boy who is a chronic manipulator, trying to convince Steve of his broken leg despite hopping up and down on it. It’s annoying in the same way a fly buzzing near an ear is. Steve lets him sit on the stool to explain himself long enough for the boy to get the break he’s seeking. Pointing him back to class is easier when a lollipop makes its way into the equation.

The worst comes right at the end of the day – Stuart Doyle is gushing blood across his forehead when he makes his way into Steve’s office. There are a couple other kids by his side that look both guilty and concerned. It’s then that he realizes his job for the day is far from over.

Steve lets them sit by Stuart’s side while he puts on a band aid and calls the kid’s mom. Though Steve is a certified nurse with a master’s degree in the subject, he’s not able to do stitches.

When that’s settled, he writes the kids up and sends them back to class two minutes before the final bell rings. It’s then that Stuart’s mom shows up and the fun really begins.

It’s hell to get the situation explained and the bulk of the necessary paperwork filled out – by the time he’s done, there are no other cars in the school parking lot aside from Mrs. Doyle’s. The walk to his Civic is just as lonely as Steve is. For some reason, that weighs a little heavier than usual. Maybe he’s just tired.

While he’s relieved to be back home after a long and trying day, Steve can’t help but feel an ache when he looks at his empty house. There’s dinner to be made and tv to be watched, but that’s all. There’s nothing more to look forward to. Family Night with Robin and Chrissy is on Friday and it’s only Tuesday.

Determined to distract himself, Steve heads to the mailbox at the end of his driveway. It’s been a few days since he last collected it, so he knows it’s close to being full. He compiles the stack and tucks it into the messenger bag at his hip. Knowing his luck, he’ll drop half of it on the way to the door if he doesn’t take the proper precautions.

Steve dumps off his bag by the coffee table as he treads through the living room. A change of clothes is calling his name. Though it’s a perk to wear scrubs all day, Steve hates the scrape of them against his skin after so many hours. His trusty Hawkins High basketball shorts are soft and worn in, their presence so very familiar on his skin. He feels a little better after settling into a soft hoodie and some long socks to finish off the comfy outfit.

There’s a second of pillaging the fridge for a snack and making tea before Steve sits down on the couch. He grabs his bag once some mindless shows been turned on to fill up the silence of his empty house. When he first bought the three bedroom, Steve had hopes of filling it with laughter and love and enough kids to brighten up the spare rooms. Now, it’s a reminder of all the things that aren’t his anymore.

Pushing that thought aside, Steve turns his attention to the bills and advertisements that make up most of his hefty pile. There’s a coupon he sets on the table for later use, but nothing stands out. At least, not until a square envelope falls into his lap. Steve is still the moment his eyes land on the familiar handwriting that litters the white space. He and Eddie grew up together – Steve still has the notes they used to pass back and forth.

It's quite a while later that Steve finds the courage to open the letter. The paper inside is typical notebook paper that’s folded up haphazardly. It’s like being a kid again for a brief moment. Steve’s heart races – so many memories come flying back. It’s not fair that he’s already stripped bare; the pages are still a mystery to him yet Eddie’s taken him apart again, just like that. Steve doesn’t need to read anything his ex has to say – his heart always reacts to Eddie like this, like he's the only thing that truly breathes life into Steve.

Steve’s fingers eagerly unfold the thick stack of papers – he’s not strong enough to resist the temptation of feeling a connection to the love of his life again. It’s not good for him, though Steve chooses to ignore that each time Eddie’s name is mentioned or his thoughts turn to him. He’s been in love with Eddie since they were kids – it’s impossible to forget the sort of feelings their time together engrained within him.

There’s a second where he thinks about ditching the effort and doing something that’s not going to yank another piece of his heart out of his chest, though it’s brief and fleeting. He takes in a deep breath, closes his eyes and sends up a little wish of hope.

Steve,

I’m positive you’re wondering why I’m writing to you. I’m the one that pulled away, who said I needed space, who ran away �� why in the world would I reach out? Though I’m using this pen and scribbling the words you’re reading, I still don’t know the answer to that question. I shouldn’t be thinking about you, let alone writing.

It’s unfair of me to say this, because I know it probably doesn’t change much, but I miss you. I’m with Jeff now and he’s great, but he’s not you. I can already see your eyebrows furrowing together, wondering how you’re going to process what I just said. It’s endearing to be familiar with the quirk of your lips as curiosity and underlying upset settle onto your face. Steve, you’re an open book that I have read so many times it’s hard not to visit those worn in spots.

I tell myself all the time that my doubts and fears are a longing for the good things that happened between us. Sometimes, that’s enough to even trick myself into believing that anything other than your warmth and touch and love will ever be enough. After all this time away, I can genuinely say that my doubts are exactly that – doubts. I am not where I’m supposed to be; every single fiber of my being knows that.

And, if I’m being honest, I don’t think I have the ability to love like I did when we were young. It’s impossible to find a connection that spans years and experiences and traumas that shaped us. Is it fair to be relieved by that? I made such a fuss about never wanting to settle for what I’ve always known. I took steps to do something different. It’s so stupid to think changing you would be the answer to all of my problems. There’s no replacing you, Steve.

At face value, Jeff is all I’ve ever wanted. He likes my music and treats me like a person he’s still getting to know. It’s fun to not be aware of all that’s coming around the corner. Too bad it’s not fulfilling in the slightest. I can’t get over the fact that I adore you, Steve. You are engrained in my skin, buried underneath it – there is no separation between my core and the space you fill. How did I ever think anything else would do?

I love him, I want you to know that. I love the man who has the sort of potential to give someone a good life. It’s a viscous cycle of breaking hearts all over the place. Do I continue to break my own by being away from you? Do I yank you a little further at the seams in hopes of making it work with someone who will never have all of me? I’m ashamed to say that I don’t know the answer.

But, I love you more, Steve. As selfish as it is, I think it’s important you know that, too. I’m not sure it changes anything, the actualization that I sincerely can’t live without you. The pull to explore and roam and be away still courses through my veins on a daily basis. Yet, so does the water of Lover’s Lake and the warmth of your touch. What do I do, Steve? How do I answer my heart’s call when two melodies play?

You probably can’t answer that for me, no matter how much I wish you could. I know you’d say come back, come home. You’d tell me to give into the call of the song in my heart that’s worn in and true. You’d be selfish, too. I know that because you’ve loved me with every possessive ounce of you since we were five years old.

I want to come home, I really do. I’m just – I don’t think I really know how.

Maybe I’ll find a way before you realize I’m no good for you.

It’s like Eddie felt the throb in Steve’s soul. Despite being difficult to understand, the letter is exactly what Steve’s been needing. Damn that man for always drawing him in again. Blinking back tears, Steve fumbles the stack of papers in his hand to start the letter all over again. He’s desperate to read the words all over again when the doorbell rings and the rotation of the whole world stops.

A Little Introduction For You/DA RULES!!

Have you ever had an Animaniacs/Pinky and The Brain fic you've always wanted to read? Do you have that one nagging idea that just sticks in your mind and invades your every waking thought? Hi guys!!!! I'm Pinky and you probably know me from my blog @theonethatyaks93. You've probably seen my random Pinky and The Brain and Animaniacs posts floating around here for some time (January of 2023 was when I joined but I've been in the Animaniacs fandom since 2020). But I also write fanfiction for funsies and since the Animaniacs/Pinky and The Brain fandom has slowly been waning, I decided to make a sideblog to accept requests for fanfics!!! This is so the fandom can stay alive and other people can find it too!! I'm a tad bit late to the party, but I hope that you guys enjoy what I have in store! Now below: I've listed some of the rules, restrictions, and information about how-to submit a request here!!

To make a request, all you have to do is drop it into the ask box here on this blog! I do not want fic requests on my main blog!! Thank you!! :) <3

I tried not to set too many rules but here are the main ones(Most of this is taken from my announcement post on my main blog):

There will be absolutely NO 18+ content allowed. There are a ton of fics out there with mature labels that you can find; you don't have to look hard. I do not feel comfortable writing that stuff yet. Don't ask for smut of any kind because you will not get it, I guarantee that. The farthest I want to go is deep kissing (i.e. tongue) but I'm only willing to do that for Pinky and Brain exclusively, since it doesn't seem to bother the fandom that much. I WILL NOT do that stuff for Yakko and Max because it doesn't sit well with me since they are so young. If deeper, more aggressive kissing is involved in Brinky fics, the tag: mildly spicy mice, will be used to indicate this. It won't be in every fic, I promise. :)

NO WARNERCEST REQESTS!!! That will get you promptly banned off of both my blogs for the foreseeable future. I HATE THIS SHIP SO MUCH AND IT'S DISGUSTING!!!! This also ties into the no 18+ content label mentioned earlier. Do not ask for this.

Fic requests may take up to a week or more to complete. It will depend on the ask itself and the story ideas I compile together. I'm very busy with other life things and stresses that it will be difficult to find the time to work on these. I will optimize weekends for fic writing to my best ability, but I will let you guys know if I'm taking a break. When I'm taking a short break, the ask box will be closed temporarily, but it will be re-opened.

Other ships such as Billie x Julia, Wakko x Louie Duck, and Dark Pinky x Future Brain will be accepted if you request them. If these take longer to make, it's going to be because I haven't written for these ideas before and I will need time to make sure everything is done decently. I'm also accepting AU ideas such as gender-swaps (I have a really good idea if y'all want to see a gender-swapped Pinky and Brain) . However, parody ideas will be extremely risky to request since if I haven't seen the material, I can't make the parody and if I have seen it, I might make a whole fic based on it rather than just a simple one-shot. I am also not accepting Wakko's Wish requests until further notice; I have a few pending and I will get to those eventually, thanks for being patient.

If your request takes longer to complete and it's not a parody or a ship I haven't worked with before, it's likely because I am working on a fic for AO3, most likely my one-shots, or a tedious multi-chapter. Don't think I've abandoned your request; I will get to you ASAP after I'm done with whatever project I'm on.

Certain things that are banned from the askbox: mean comments, smut requests, Warnercest, non-Animaniacs/PaTB requests, harassment of other individuals. Certain ships, such as Warnercest and Brain x Julia will not be allowed either due to personal or emotionally scarring reasons.

Last thing: Enjoy it!!! Make requests that are angsty, silly, fluffy, sad, or happy! Think about what you've always wanted to see in a fanfic, or an idea that you would enjoy seeing my take on. Just make sure to follow my rules and boundaries so we can all enjoy this as a fandom.

I'm really excited to see what I can do!!! And I'm also really excited to see all the fun ideas you guys can come up with!!! I'm hoping I can make this fandom proud and maybe inspire others to dive into the realm of writing!! Gather your requests and let's all have some fun!! Narf!!!

COMPILING ALL LEGENDS OF CHIMA SEASON 1 THOUGHTS BELOW THE READ MORE (super long post, written as I was watching)

(I can be a little mean but I promise I’m having fun lol)

Episodes 1 + 2:

Man this shits super boring.

Idk if I can get behind craggers plot line tbh. He’s too much of a dumbass for me to really root for him.

The lore seems really cool so far. I like the settings and the stuff about the legend beasts.

Like?? Forest full of trees that just fall down all the time? Epic.

Legend beasts are especially cool cuz it means this is how Chima characters react when seeing a regular ass lion for the first time:

Episode 3:

Man Laval really fucked everything up.

I have a feeling all of cragger’s dumbass-ness, like, transferred over to laval and now we’re gonna be seeing him making all the dumbass decisions

The only thing I really care about here is the b-plot about Gorzan and his flower. More engaging than the main plot

Episode 4:

Prediction about Laval replacing Cragger as the resident dumbass seems to be coming true

Gorzan is quickly becoming my favorite.

Oh hey look it’s the beavers!! I remember they show up in that one episode of ninjago. I had zero context for what they were all about then but now I know!!

Episode 5:

The gorilla tribe seems like the most chill out of everyone. Gorillas 👍

Can I just say I hate the fucking skunk. He sucks.

Honestly kind of a nothing episode

Episode 6:

Eagle spire does that cool thing where all the buildings are built on super scary precipices. There’s literally a post going around about this exact thing but I can’t find it rn

Oh so the eagles are just a bunch of nerds. A little weird I guess(?) I feel like eagles are usually symbols of strength n stuff so that’s different. It’s giving cloud kingdom.

Apparently the ravens are double crossing everyone but I have not been paying close enough attention to what’s going on to really process that

Ok so it was all an extremely convoluted way for the crocs to get everyone to fight each other. And the ravens tried to profit but they’re kinda stupid so nothing really worked out for anyone

Episode 7:

Purble moon??? Epic

Man the bears are so epic just like me fr

I am entirely uninterested in the 100 year full moon skunk fart lore. Sorry.

It’s a little strange and maybe I’m hallucinating but I feel like the animation has has somehow gotten better?? Like the lighting or smthn…. Or the facial expressions???

Oh….. skunk fart lore is plot relevant………

Now that I’m thinking… is that the only skunk in chima?? Cuz rn it looks like just the one guy

Episode 8:

Oh it’s a big boy chi

There’s a fucking peacock?? Don’t know how to spell his name. So wait if he wins who does the chi go to?? He gets it all to himself?

Oh wait nvm it’s probably a cragger thing. Mr. Peacock comes back after retirement or w/ever in order to do some evil shit with the crocs I get it I get it

Gorzan I love you

WHO THE FUCK IS THAT GUY?? Is it a pig? A warthog??? It’s giving Mr. E vibes.

Man idk this episode is structured rlly weirdly. Nothing really fit together very well. It’s alright tho.

Episode 9:

GORILLA EPISODE?? Let’s go dude

It funny cuz I feel like gorillas aren’t actually this mellow irl

Episode 10:

Uhh I forgot to take notes while watching uhhh

The fox guy was cute. I like a little fox guy

This episode managed to make me feel a little bad for cragger!! He wants to do a good job but he kinda sucks at everything :(

It also made me confused abt cruller!!! What are you doing w ur life girl!!!!

Kinda messed up how the wolves had to serve the crocodiles tho… probly for the best she threw away that pledge

If Laval’s dad is right when he says they’re not gonna race for chi for a long time, I’m guessing they’re not gonna do any more racing episodes for some time. That’s fine honestly.

WAIT THAT RHINO GUY’S DYING. Oh nvm. This whole situation is cringe I hope it’s a one-off thing….

Also I forgot everyone thinks craggers parents are dead but really they’re just chilling in that canyon. Kinda funny actually

Episode 11:

Oh man the wolves are fucking everything up

If there’s one similarity I could point out with ninjago, it’s all this talk abt ~the balance~. I guess it makes sense since they take place in the same universe, technically

Jets travel super fast in the air. If they’re going through a storm Laval should totally be dead by now

Cragger is setting boundaries!! We love to see it. Cruller is acting pretty cringe. In her ~~girlfailure era~~

It’s a little sweet how Laval still wants to help out cragger

Episode 13:

I guess I’m still not super into cragger but I pity him a little. He’s trying his best but he’s just a bit stupid. And also his sister sucks ass

Okay. So she may be cringe but cruller is living her best(-ish) life.

That wolf is wearing a really cute apron

Man they were bringing up Shadow wind earlier and I thought they were gonna reveal their identity but now I’m a bit disappointed…

Laval is being peak dumbass rn I kinda like it. “The warm milk of oppression” lol

That’s where Tubi says season 1 ends, so i think I’ll just stop here for now. I guess they’ll bring up craggers parents next season?? For now they’re still stuck chilling in that canyon.

I definitely feel like it’s a show that doesn’t have super strong characters. I think it would better if the show leaned more into the world it’s created instead, if that makes sense. Maybe later the character writing will improve a little bit, and I’ll changed my tune. But!! Who knows. I’m having fun with it.

Idk when I’ll get to season 2, cuz I get super busy sometimes (I started this one a couple months ago but couldn’t finish it till now ugh) but I do want to continue watching!! Eventually!!!

I try not to compare them too much but they def have similar ideas #going on behind the scenes or whatever. if that makes sense #I debated main tagging this and I don’t think I’m gonna do it….. idk

any commentary i added below was made with the best of my ability! It’s quite lengthy, so you know!

kuroko & kise in blue/yellow

lost the first round to the iconic undertale lesbians, but they earned 84 votes!

here’s my essay in the tags because it’s before i decided that i was no longer cringe, but free -- mostly about their relationship but especially the scene against haizakis team

midorima & takao in orange/green

they won the first round against some italian mobsters from jojo’s bizarre adventure! ultimately earning 88 votes-- winning with 61.8% of the votes!

here @hiemiola and i tag team (it will not be the last!!) and wrote some things we liked about their relationship in our first duo poll essay about their dynamics on and off the court!

in this match, midorima and takao had a comfortable lead (from what i know)! there was a time where votes were in the 50/40 range but ultimately midotaka had a spike in votes in the end!

they lost round 1.5, ultimately earning a total of 273 votes-- barely losing with 49.4% of the votes!

for most of the poll the two were losing by a large margin (around ~30% of votes if i recall correctly), but in the last few hours they made a turn around and took the lead for a bit, before ultimately barely losing a close match!!

they came back in the loser bracket but ultimately got destroyed in round one :( despite the odds being up against them, the two managed to earn 190 votes!

as always here’s the usual tag team essay! we talk about the basics of who they are, their relationship, and yes that takao is orange!! (something that people questioned in previous polls)

but wait! in this poll, a new player @aomine-in-gensokyo comes! he wrote about how the strongest of bonds can come from the unlikeliest people in this essay here!

funnily enough, after this aomine approved essay, they had a 5% spike in votes

takao in orange character smackdown

in this huge poll with 192 characters, takao kazunari was in bracket d!

round one was a real tough fight! for the longest time, takao was behind, especially around the 40% range, but he ultimately managed to turn it around! with 447 votes to his name, he managed to win at 50.7%!!

funnily, enough this poll ran at the same time as midorima in the best green character poll! scroll down if you’d like to know more :) -- anyways its definitely hard to separate these two partners!

also a little fun fact! op paired similar people together. funnily enough, takao and rena were a matter of “pair the spares” but ultimately op saw that both characters were associated with green characters with glasses! id also argue that both characters help major characters who’s name start with “m” (midorima for knb and marinette for miraculous ladybug) leave their comfort zone as well :]

he won the second round with 177 votes, earning himself 52% of the votes!

once again check out another tag team essay! we talk about takao’s characters through his character songs, his orangeness in merch and what it represents, and me making this image!

while takao fought bravely, he ultimately lost the third round but not before earning 212 votes! (which was 36.5% of the votes)

to no one’s surprise, we have another tag team essay.as both of us didn’t want to talk about our favorite takao moments and scenes (because we want everyone to watch kuroko no basket <3) we talked about just fun little scenes across knb + knb media!! and also more takao merchandise!!

in total, takao earned 836 votes!! thats a lot! at the time of writing this, takao ultimately has the third most votes out of all knb polls listed in this post!

midorima in best green character

he was destroyed in the first round to disgust from inside out, only getting 36.2% of the votes, but he still managed to earn a total of 272 votes!

this poll happened on the same day as takao’s first round poll in the orange character smackdown!! theyre partners!

kagami & kise in red/yellow bracket

they lost in the first round, but earned a total of 163 votes, which was 46.7% of the votes!

their opponents ultimately won the entire bracket!!

while not as extensive, i wrote a little short spiel introducing kagami and kise to people :D highlights include them with kuroko :) and my infamous kagami taiga cardboard cutout

aomine & kagami in gayest noncanon bitches

this is one of the polls i happened to stumble upon! for most other polls i followed the polls after personally nominating knb characters myself (and also asking others to nominate them as well <3)

this blog has sadly deactivated. to my knowledge this was due to the final matchup which was between edgeworth/phoenix from ace attorney and jessie/delia from pokemon -- luckily i have reblogs of the polls :>

they won the first round, along with ankh and eiji from kamen rider ooo as the top two pairings in a round would progress! they earned 80 votes!

they got absolutely destroyed in the second round against batman/superman, but luckily managed to rise up to 22.1% of the votes! earned a total of 240 votes!

aomine & momoi - black/pink

in the first round of the black and pink poll, they lost 46.9 to 53.1 but earned a total of 38 votes

however! they came back in the loser bracket and made it to the finals of said bracket!

in round one, these childhood friends won with 62.4% of the votes, earning 73 votes!

here we get @aomine-in-gensokyo giving an introduction about these friends who have been together since childhood!

in round two, they won with 52.1% of the votes-- a much closer match! but they earned 37 votes!

in round three, they faced off against lovely kingdom heart boys, and ultimately won with 50 votes, which was 54.3% of the votes! as they only won by about 8 votes, it was another close one!

in the wise words of aomine-in-gensokyo, this was a heated match!

in round four, there was a tougher match! more people were voting! the two were losing for a bit, but over time managed to close the gap! ultimately, the two were victorious and gained 53.1% of the votes-- 121 votes! over double of last rounds!

finally, we have the finals! their competition was fierce with two other pairs as their opponents! ultimately, the two were in last place in the beginning of the match, but managed to climb to second! they earned 64 votes which was 30.3% of the votes!

aomine & momoi - blue/pink

the two of them made it to the quarterfinals of the blue and pink poll! there were great vibes all around with lots of support for aomine and momoi! people who weren’t familiar with kuroko no basket enjoyed learning about them as well and cheered them on in other rounds! they even defeated some pretty heavy hitters, and ultimately only lost by one vote in the end!

this poll marks the beginning of the a3! and knb alliance! you’ll see later that many a3! fans end up supporting knb a lot which i think is very sweet!! i personally also boost polls where the a3! fans are in as well in solidarity :> some of my other knb mutuals as well! I hope we can continue to support each other from here on out!

in round 1 aomine and momoi won with 51.9% of the votes, with 140 voters supporting them!

in round 2, these besties found themselves up against my little pony’s iconic rainbow dash and pinky pie… despite the odds, they managed to take the win! by earning 208 votes, they won with 51.5% of the total votes!

here you can see my essay talking briefly about how they care about each other! as you can see, i was hoping for them to reach 30% at the time of writing. always stay optimistic everyone… you can always turn things around!!

and here we have another essay, talking about aomine’s conflict with being unable to find a challenge in basketball and the changes he experienced as a result!

i’d consider the above essay the beginning of the a3! and knb alliance!

in round 3, aomine and momoi faced off against vi and jinx from arcane! another tough challenge ahead… however, they pulled through!! with 118 votes, they secured 51.5% of the votes once again!

here’s another essay about how aomine and momoi show up together a lot in the series!

and here we are! the quarterfinals! these two managed to make it to the top 8! here, they faced off against muku and yuki from a3! overall, this was a very nice, wholesome poll i’d say! everyone was supportive of the other team… some of us wanted them to tie and progress together… in the end, aomine and momoi just barely lost with 441 votes (49.9%)! i think it’s funny that they lost just by one point, don’t you think? It’s just like canon!

throughout the 24 hour period, aomine and momoi continued to climb up until they were toe to toe with the other competitors. in the poll’s last minutes, the numbers of votes continued to climb until we finally had our end result!

in round 1, they won with 60% of the votes after earning 81 votes!

In round 2, they barely defeated sailor moon, but they managed to earn 119 votes, winning with a percentage of 51.3%! here’s also an obligatory picture of my kagami cardboard cutout with a bonus kuroko and kise!!

in round 3, the trio were defeated by not one, but a trio of iconic magical girls! With 71 votes, they lost at 41.8%!

In total, kuroko, kagami, and kise earned 271 votes!

kuroko no basket as a series in multicolor fandom tournament

in every round they won, kuroko no basket was losing by a large margin, but they always managed to turn it around before the end

in round 1, their opponents were the ever famous mario… despite the odds they took 52.9% of the votes with 180 votes!

in round 2, our colorful show went up against heathers!with 258 votes, they won with 51.7% of the votes!

in round 3, knb ultimately lost to the extremely powerful avatar the last airbenders, only managing to secure 32.6% of the votes.

in the end, atla were the victors of the poll!!

in the end, the show managed to earn 581 votes!

kagami in the minor poll of the red character bracket

this poll was double elimination, so you’d have to lose twice before ultimately being defeated!

kagami ultimately did very well!! he was 4th place overall!! i’m very proud of him! in most of these rounds, you can see me giving little spiels about kagami and showing cute pictures of him, but nothing too expensive!

in round 1, he earned 87 (52.1%) votes!

in round 2, he earned 199 (50.5%) votes!

in round 3, he earned 287 (53.5%) votes!

in round 4, he earned 222 (50.8%) votes!

in round 5, he got absolutely destroyed by strawberry shortcake (who ultimately won the minor bracket!) he earned, 49 (23.3%) votes!

in the loser’s round 8, which was kagami’s first round in the loser’s bracket, he lived another day, earning 135 (50.9%) votes! to 130 (49.1%)

finally, kagami was eliminated in loser’s round 9 against the lovely ib!! she would then go on and earn second place in the minor bracket! kagami, himself, earned 82 (35.7%) votes!

in all, kagami has earned a total of 1061 votes! so far, he has earned the most votes out of any character and/or pair!!

momoi & midorima in the pink/green bracket

midorima and momoi despite not interacting too much did rather well on this poll!! they made it to the finals!

i spent time cropping kise and takao out of photos to get photos of just midorima and momoi <3

i’d like to say this is due to the fact that the pollrunner included midorima’s lucky item on his picture! in the other polls in which midorima never made it to round 2, he was without his lucky item! his unlucky nature carries outside of the show it looks like!!

this is why i firmly believe that if midorima ever makes it to another poll, he has to be with his lucky item or else he’ll lose so badly

a3! fans really came through in these rounds! we couldn’t have done it without their support!

in round 1, these two miraculously defeated sk8’s iconic skater dudes with 53.4% of the votes! with 70 votes, they only beat cherry and joe skate by 9 votes!

in round 2, the pair defeats the first volcaloid pair they were matched up against. with 75 votes, they won at 56.6%

through the greatest twist of fate, in round 3, momoi and midorima managed to take the win from volcaloids gumi and luka!! always remain optimistic guys! you never know who will be there to support you! with 153 votes, they won with 55.2%!

3. Heaven Lyrics Analysis

This is where stuff gets too "coincidental" to be a coincidence any more. I'll start from the beginning.

"Heaven", on Exo's EX'ACT album, is a b-side song written by Chanyeol.

As you probably guessed from the title, "Heaven", is a sweet song about a person who the singer feels like is an angel who came from heaven. In the song, the singer describes the angel as a beautiful person who is like a ray of light for them.

The keywords in the song are heaven, angel, sky, light, etc.

As you read in the above image, Chanyeol used "sky" as a way to describe Bakehyun.

And apparently, during this time, Chanyeol also posted pictures of the sky on his Instagram.

Now, posting pictures of the sky is really common, especially among idols, but it's still pretty suspicious how he used it to describe Baekhyun too.

Years ago, Bakehyun showed everyone the "angel wings" on his back. He has prominent shoulder blades, and I think he's mentioned before that he is insecure of them.

Here, he bent down to show them to everyone and by coincidence, Chanyeol was the one who revealed them. He knew exactly where to press.

Baekhyun then gets up, and I believe he says "I'm an angel" or something along similar lines.

I took this particular point from @yeolspuppy's analysis. You should go check that out if you want a deeper analysis, since I only covered the major points. I'll link it below.

Bakehyun has some traditionally female traits, so in turn, many Exo members and Exo-Ls describe him as "pretty". While fans do it to praise Baekhyun's visuals, Exo members do it jokingly like an inside joke.

Saying that a girl is pretty jokingly seems really weird. In a world where people assume that they are a couple when a boy and a girl hang out, it seems like you wouldn't want to tell a girl that she's pretty in fear that she might find out about your feelings. However, if you have already confessed and are in a relationship with her, then why would the girl assume you are joking when you call her pretty? That is supposed to be a compliment.

Chanyeol is a celebrity who would face major backlash for using "he" in a song, especially in a country like South Korea. In order to protect his reputation, mentioning anything other than a "she" would be dangerous. Just because Chanyeol mentioned "she" does not confirm that he is straight or was referring to Baekhyun.

Thus, this line could easily mean Baekhyun telling Chanyeol to not jokingly call him pretty.

thanks elle-p !!!!!!!!!! good luck with my character too ^_^)/ !! i feel like i totally don't talk about her (or tbh anyone outside of ryoji ...) as much as i should .. ! im gonna work to change that \o/ ! starting here :]c putting this one under a cut because it actually got suuuper long ^_^;; whoops !

favourite thing about them: she exists !!!!!!!!!!!! and she's so cool . she's like, devastatingly cool . both in her concept and just .. herself .... move over chad narukami losers !!!!!!!!!! especially in her exclusive links, her kindness and kick-ass-ness and depth comes out in full force and i love her so much for it. i know i'm a ryominahead, but i miss her everyday !!!!!!!!

least favourite thing about them: not her fault AT ALL . but aside from how underrepresented she is, i am still a firm believer that she should've received her own ryoji ... it's so sad, because i absolutely adore how they open up to each other, but i've talked to others before about how ryoji in her story as seemingly HER mirror just feels wrong, like he's transplanted from another place (which he literally is .. he's created in minato's image). i would've loved to see how her ryoji could've been more specifically shaped and changed by her quirks + her approach to her trauma

favourite line: "but, when i first saw him... he didn't feel at all like a stranger to me." "i can't explain it well, but it was almost like nostalgia.... or some kind of closeness." "i'm him, and he's me...?" it's criminal that q2 left it at this.

brOTP: junpei and hamuko is especially special to me ... more so than minato and junpei really . they bounce off of each other so well, + the extended/enhanced arc where junpei is kind of misogynistic to her alongside the leader jealousy and how that develops is so cool T_T

OTP: HAMUAIGIS 4EVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! aigis im so sorry yr girlfriend is still in the vault . can you imagine femc the answer . would destroy my soul .

nOTP: her + junpei . .. maybe im a little hater but the GAME doesnt even let you do it lmao ...! it means a lot to me that they're best friends . other than that, i'd say she fits cutely with nearly everyone else just like minato does !

random headcanon: okay lets be real . am i stupid ? where does her mp3 player attach ? it just kind of hangs out in midair while minato obviously hangs it on a lanyard . i like to think she's a bit more crafty with it !!! clipping it onto the zipper of her uniform or her scarf or keeping it on a wristband etc ^_^

unpopular opinion: gwa ........... i should just own this i think, even if people disagree !! in my opinion ... femc is supplementary content. and that means you should not be playing her route as your first experience in persona 3. just like how i believe you shouldn't read the manga or watch the movies before playing the game. you need to play the male route first. the way she presents the game's themes through her character and modified story is designed to be in direct opposition and contract with minato's route, and enhances both routes to that effect and can totally change your experience when viewing your previous playthrough of the male route and your current route as her through the lens she teaches the player. in a sad sort of way, i am kind of happy reload hasn't enforced this idea that femc is just one of two ways to experience p3 . this isn't a character select .. she's more like a perfect ng+ to me .

All the Comics I Read in July

(mostly Batman and Batman-adjacent stuff)

but Claudine, why would anyone care about this? I have no idea, but I love compiling information and reading other people’s posts about all the stuff they read in a month, so here we go below the cut

DC Trades:

Rebirth Batman Vol 7: The Wedding

I’m a huge Tom King fan (don’t hate me y’all) and this one felt like a distillation of everything I love about him, and the conversation between Selina and the Joker about their shared pasts and the way they interpret love for Batman is one of the true highlights of the series so far. I…see why this made a lot of fans upset, but I’m definitely a “I ship BatCat as a divorced couple” reader sooooo.

Rebirth Catwoman Vol 1: Copycats

Picks up after the end of Batman #50 but really doesn’t deal with the themes of it much since Selina’s been transported to a Los Angeles expy and involved with a family of villainous politicians. I really enjoyed the artwork, which does a lot with the limited and dark color palette, and found the story middling to above-average.

Rebirth Batman Vol 8: Cold Days

The trial of Victor Freeze is my favorite arc in Rebirth Batman so far. Bruce Wayne as Bruce Wayne in the pivotal parts of the story! A nuanced look at Batman’s guilt and a genuine attempt to rectify past misdeeds instead of simply brooding about them! Character growth! Genuine mystery about what’s going on that’s resolved in a satisfying way! Jury duty!

…so after all that, the KGBeast story at the back of the volume, though pretty well-told, was disappointing just because it had such a difficult act to follow.

Rebirth Detective Comics: Fall of the Batmen

I haven’t enjoyed the Tynion run of Detective Comics, which is my fault for picking up something all about the Batfamily when I am generally not all that interested in them beyond Alfred, Kate, and Dick.

Rebirth Harley Quinn Vol 6: Angry Bird

Sigh. I really want to like the Rebirth Harley Quinn series, and I appreciate the idea of having a comic that’s mostly focused on comedic misadventures, but I really didn’t enjoy the execution of Conner and Palmiotti’s run. I think there were some improvements in this volume, like the inclusion of more Gotham characters and making Harley’s dialogue more readable, but it all devolved into a pretty big mess.

Dark Knights Metal

The Dark Knights Metal event is so, so stupid in a way I find kind of glorious (I genuinely really loved Dark Knights Rising), but man, this ended so suddenly after such a long series of introductory comics, and I feel like it really underplayed a lot of the themes established in Dark Days the Forge/Casting and Dark Knights Rising. Also–what happened to the evil baby Batman-Who-Laughs Robins on leashes???? I hope they’re OK :(

Elseworlds Batman: Vampire

This is officially the edgiest comic I have read thus far. I appreciate that they went all out for the gothic aesthetic and ornate narration that Gotham and Batman lend themselves to, and glad to finally see the source material for the panels of Batman growing literal bat wings and Joker enjoying getting his neck bitten. But yeah, gosh that last third was depressing.

Elseworlds(?) Batman Europa

I read this on a very long-distance train after an hour of sleep and I think that enhanced the fever-dream vibes immensely. Truly does read like a fanfic that got professionally produced.

Batman the Audio Adventures: Special #1

Slight and not quite as entertaining as the audio play version, but still very fun. Ideal for anyone looking for low-stakes, retro, or comedic Batman comics.

Harley Quinn Animated Series: The Eat, Bang, Kill Tour

OK this one seems to be widely reviled on tumblr and I can definitely see where some of that is coming from (Barbara Gordon saying she ships Harlivy did make me close DC Infinite in a moment of agonized embarrassment), but I think a lot of the hate is overblown, and I love Max Sarin’s art so, so, so much that I would have loved the heck out of this even if the writing was substantially worse.

Gotham Central #4: Corrigan

In June I read the rest of the Gotham Central series, and the conclusion caught me completely off guard since I thought there was a fifth collected volume. I’m not sure whether it actually was an abrupt ending or I just thought it seemed like that because I was not expecting it to wrap up in that volume. Either way, it did make me excited to read about Renee-as-the-Question.

Batman Hush

Honestly a bit underwhelmed by this; I may have had way too much spoiled in advance because the most interesting part about this arc was the mystery itself for me. Jim Lee was also insanely, ridiculously bad about twisting all of the female characters into absurd shapes during action sequences, to an extent that was genuinely immersion-breaking.

Catwoman: When in Rome

Truly wonderful art by Tim Sale; I would strongly recommend this if you liked The Long Halloween and have any interest in the rest of the story about Selina’s involvement with the Falcone family. However, this lost some points for me by basically having Selina get naked in front of ogling men in most of its issues in ways that felt really tangential to the plot.

DC Single Issues:

Infinite Frontier Batman #125

Finally just jumping into the ongoing continuity at a convenient break in the arcs. I don’t have a ton of thoughts about the story so far, but I love the art (especially the color palette) and I tend to like story arcs that start as mysteries to be solved rather than “a darkness is rising” or “someone is building a superweapon”.

Infinite Frontier Catwoman #39-42 (Dangerous Liaisons arc)

Gosh, I love the way Selina’s narration is written in this series, and I’m really hyped for the rest of Tini Howard’s run. I also thought this was an unusually successful example of making the feminist themes of a story plot-relevant in a way that’s much more interesting than the standard “strong female character goes off to start her own thing” or “protagonist rescues abused woman”.

Infinite Frontier Poison Ivy #2

I adore the art and the voice of Ivy, as well as the conceit of her writing to Harley, and the second issue was just as strong on those fronts as the first. This did feel a bit more stagnant than the opening, and didn’t move the plot forward very much, but I’m still very much enjoying this series and very excited to pick up the third volume.

Saga Volume 1-6

A trillion years after everyone else caught up I am finally reading Saga! By and large it’s completely lived up to the hype, I love the worldbuilding and the creature design and how vivid and flawed the characters are. I was really impressed by the crispness of the art and especially by how Brian K. Vaughan threads the needle of modern dialogue that doesn’t detract from the science fantasy setting.

Ice Cream Man Vol 1: Rainbow Sprinkles

Everyone saying this is Twilight Zone as a pastel comic with varying quality is completely correct. I wasn’t blown away by it, but liked it a lot, and so far the first volume at least was a good level of eerie for me as someone who likes horror-the-literary-genre but can’t handle any extreme gore.

I drove all the way from Cherry Grove to shop here, and was not disappointed. But, that said, it is, without a doubt, THE best selection of craft beer in Myrtle Beach.

So, You Wanna Study Irish Mythology?

One of the questions I get hit with a lot is “If I’m getting into Irish Mythology, what sources do you recommend?” It’s a sad, sad truth about the field that a lot of really valuable info is kept locked away in books and journals that the lay person wouldn’t know about (and then we wonder why information about the field is so bad.) So, I decided to compile a list of sources that I’ve personally used and found helpful in my time. It’s not a complete bibliography because, frankly, that would take up a TREMENDOUS amount of space and you’d be scrolling forever to find what you wanted, and I don’t AGREE with every single thing they say, and it’s by no means exhaustive (keep in mind: scholars from all over the field use mythological texts to study things as diverse as law, geography, tribal names, material culture, etc. and here I’m mainly focusing on sources that are JUST mythological-focused) but they’re a good starting point to forming your own opinions. The journal articles are, tragically, generally kept confined to academia, but....perhaps....if you were to ask around, someone might be able to provide you with a copy. As a whole, Celticists tend to be quite generous when it comes to sharing articles.

List subject to change, check back as time goes on to see if I’ve added anything. Also, as always, feel free to either drop me an ask or a pm if you’re curious about digging further into a given text/figure. I can’t act as a consultant on a religious question; I’m a very firm atheist with all the spirituality of a dull spoon, except with the existence of ghosts. My interest in the Tuatha Dé is purely scholarly; all that I can say is what I know about these topics from the perspective of the medieval sources, but I can definitely do my best on that one front, and I won’t reject anyone who has a different interest in the Tuatha Dé from contacting me.

This list only deals with the Mythological Cycle, not the other strands of the literary tradition that is generally if not uncontroversially referred to as “Irish Mythology”. For Fenian Cycle traditions, a similar bibliography has been compiled by Dr. Natasha Sumner of Harvard, here.

Cath Maige Tuired, Elizabeth Gray (If you can and you’re serious about the field, I highly recommend getting the actual Irish Text Society Edition, which includes a wonderful index of every time a given figure shows up in other sources. An absolute must for a mythographer.)

Lebor Gabála Érenn, J.R.S Macalister, 5 vols. (The entirety of this is available on archive.org. Personally...while the rest of it is obviously important and worthy of study, if you’re interested in just the mythological stuff, I recommend Volume IV, which includes both the Fir Bolg and the Tuatha Dé. Unless you really, really want to read five volumes of medieval Irish pseudohistory, the last volume of which was finished posthumously.) i ii iii iv v

The Metrical Dinshenchas, Edward Gwynn. (5 vols.) (These are difficult, with many scholars outright ignoring them except when absolutely necessary. These are in a later form of Irish, which means that, while some of the contents in them could very well be Pre-Christian in nature, they very much do reflect a later medieval world. Some of them are just as much about contemporary politics as they are about mythology, and many of them also bring in content from the Ulster Cycle and the Fenian Cycle. My personal favorites to look up are Tailtiu, Carn Hui Néit, Duirgen, and Carmun, though there are MANY others.) i ii iii iv v

“The First Battle of Moytura”, John Fraser (Note: It’s a VERY late text, with the question of the Fir Bolg/Tuatha Dé battle and how far the tradition really goes back being one that’s very important to keep in mind. It’s a personal favorite of mine. But it’s very late.)

Baile in Scáil, Kevin Murray (Thurneyson also did an older edition that’s more readily accessible, hence why I linked it here, but Murray is the most recent and up to date.)

“How the Dagda got his magic staff”, Osborn Bergin

Oidheadh Chloinne Tuireann, Richard Duffy (This is an Early Modern Irish text, so it was written down comparatively late. That doesn’t mean that there’s NO mythological content here, it’s a personal favorite of mine, but it means that it very much reflects the cultural context of around....the 15th-17th century or thereabouts. It’s very chaotic, very violent, and the heroic figures are....not....heroic.)

Scél Tuáin Meic Chairill, John Carey

Echtra Nerai, it’s available in a fairly recent translation by John Carey in Celtic Heroic Age (pub. 2003) , listed below, though Kuno Meyer also did an edition/translation for it that I’ve linked to here.

Proinsias Mac Cana, Celtic Mythology (Personally, I’d recommend this one first - It’s designed for someone who isn’t a specialist and, while a lot of what he’s saying has been disputed back and forth, it’s still a handy primer and will get you into the myths.)

John Koch and John Carey, The Celtic Heroic Age (Once you have an idea of what you’re looking at, I recommend this one, since it’s a sourcebook. A TON of material from across the Celtic world, featuring classical sources, medieval Irish sources, and Welsh, all of it in one place.)

Mark Williams, Ireland’s Immortals (I personally recommend you read this one after you read CHA, giving you a bit of context for what Williams is saying here.)

Snapshot: Cleanse

snapshots: a new compilation of mini-fics taking place in the WIBAR universe! this one takes place a few days after Making Adjustments!

warnings: none! Whoops, All Fluff!

It was a few days after the Breakfast Ceasefire that Virgil decided enough was enough.

He needed a shower. Badly.

It didn’t matter that he was on an alien ship full of alien stuff, or that showering meant temporarily ditching the comfort of his hoodie, or even that two out of three aliens would probably happily see him dead at any opportunity.

He had picked up what felt like an entire football field’s worth of dirt, mud, and other muck while him and Patton were planet-hopping, and impromptu washcloth (read: a patch torn from the back of his shirt) cleaning sessions had only done so much. They only came across clean water every so often, anyhow. Most of it couldn’t be wasted on washing.

Patton had picked up on his discomfort back then— that or the smell— but the Ampen’s idea of ‘cleaning up’ was very similar to that of chinchillas’ back home on Earth: dust baths. That’s right. More dirt.

(Yes, he’d rolled around in the dirt with his friend. Contrary to popular interstellar belief, he wasn’t a monster.)

Still, it was time to come clean. Literally and metaphorically.

Patton had spent last night cuddled up to him, which meant that he had actually gotten a full eight hours of sleep (good!) and that Roman was probably sulking around (ungood!). The sense of clarity that came with not being quite so horrendously sleep deprived only made him more aware of how dirty he was. It felt like heresy to even touch any of the numerous well-sanitized surfaces in the ship.

“Patton,” he called, once the Ampen had started doing those little antennae twitches that meant he was half-awake. “Can you show me the wash room?”

The response was a little delayed, but eventually Patton startled into full wakefulness with a little chirp-peep that reminded him of a computer startup noise.

From there, he was led down the circular halls to a square room that sort of resembled a locker room shower area, complete with drainage grates in the floor. There was a ledge along one side of the room that led up to a windowbox-like protrusion, and Virgil could see from here that it was full of soft, beige dirt.

Patton paused, visibly turning his head from Virgil to the washbox, as though measuring things out in his mind.

“That’s probably too small for you, huh?”

Virgil stopped him before he could start making plans for a human-sized sandbox. “Uh, actually, Pat, I need water to wash.”

“Oh!” Patton exclaimed, more surprised than disconcerted. “Well, water we doing over here then?”

Virgil couldn’t hide a smile, and Patton crinkle-smiled back at him before waving him over to the opposite end of the room. He pointed up, where there were little circular discs with a grid of tiny holes set into the wall. “Here you go! Roman uses these to help with his slough, or when he gets particularly rough and tumble down on planetside!”

… Great. Odds were borrowing his shower was probably going to make Roman even more homicidal towards him. Virgil decided to worry about that later. For now, he was faced with the biggest challenge of them all: figuring out how a friend’s shower knobs worked.

Surprisingly, it seemed like the panel set into the wall below each disc worked similarly to the other touchscreens he’d seen set into the control room of the ship. Unsurprisingly, they were all labeled with the written form of Common, which meant he had about zero chance of figuring it out on his own.

Patton noticed his blank stare and patted at his knee, and Virgil squatted down easily so the undersized alien could clamber onto his shoulder. He rose up, and Patton’s little claws scrambled for purchase for a moment before he caught his balance, Virgil tense with preparation to twist and catch him if he fell.

“This little icon has the symbol for on, and this is how you get it hot or cold,” he chirped, leaning forwards to point at the screen for emphasis. Virgil obligingly shifted closer, trying to commit the guidance to memory. “You’re a little squisher than Roman, so you should probably change the pressure, too.”

Once he’d shuffled around so he was sure neither of them were about to get slammed by a jet of water, he tapped the power button.

A three-note chime played as a sort of countdown, and water shot out of the disc, at what was probably the appropriate pressure to powerwash muck from under tightly-packed scales. Virgil pushed the slider down until he could put his hand under without feeling any sting from the water’s impact. Then, he cranked the temperature up until it was just short of scalding.

Patton eyed the steam curling up into the air with a concerned fluff to his feathers, but didn’t protest after seeing the small, delighted grin that Virgil made as he held his hand under.

No, this wasn’t dunking his head in cold streams, or dipping his arm in a lukewarm puddle, or the humiliating icy hose downs in captivity. This was warm water. He’d never take it for granted again.

He shrugged out of his hoodie as he walked over to the entrance. “Does this… lock?”

“Any door on the ship can be sealed,” Patton replied, and bonked his head to Virgil’s sympathetically at the shudder that information sent through him. “Nobody’s going to lock anything without your permission, though, okay?”

“Yeah,” Virgil said, knowing he sounded less than convinced. “Can you guard the door, still? Just in case,” he added in English, one of the phrases he’d used a lot while they were on the run.

Patton gave him a sad look, more than aware how unsafe he still felt, but nodded firmly and dropped carefully down to the floor, taking up position just outside the door like a tiny sentry. Virgil draped his hoodie over him, and then-- checking that the others weren’t nearby to witness and freak out about it-- he gave him the world’s smallest noogie, ruffling the feathers atop his head with a knuckle.

Having preemptively twitched his antennae out of the way, Patton made one of those bird-like laughs at him, batting his hand away. “Go clean! And make sure you wash out for slippery floors!”

Virgil snorted, and carefully sealed the door behind him, trying not to think about the feeling of being stuck in a tiny square room again. He shook his head, dragging his thoughts back on track.

He had access to a warm shower, his first in literal months (...years?). He was going to stay under that spout until every bit of dirt washed down the drain.

Roman was midway through a session of storywriting when he heard Patton’s bright voice coming down the hall, passing by his room and chattering all the while.

His ears flicked back automatically to check in, and he frowned when he realized that he couldn’t hear Logan’s arms clicking alongside the Ampen. No, apart from Patton’s tiny tapping footsteps, there was nothing. Patton had to be talking to the Human, then, since he was the only one who ghosted around the ship silently enough to make Roman feel stalked at every corner.

Well. He’d grown tired of watching his characters make a rather vexing detour from his carefully-plotted main storyline anyhow, and he was loath to leave his smallest friend alone with a Human, regardless of how docile that Human pretended to be.

After a brief cleanup of his writing instruments, he was sweeping down the corridor to the commons after them.

Logan was already in the room when he arrived, which was surprising; even Roman had picked up on the ludicrous lengths the Human went to avoid the Ulgorian, as though Logan of all people was someone to be scared of. The nerd’s poison blood was the most “threatening” thing about him, and the Human had already shown how easily he could shake that off.

Patton was leading the Human by one hand, their size disparity as jarring and terrifying as ever. And the Human…

Roman turned his head to the side to study the scene more intently, and that in itself was strange.

Normally, Virgil was almost preternaturally aware of when he was being watched, according to Logan. It was obvious when he knew: the Human went tense and rigid, practically poised to pounce at any moment.

But now, he was trailing after Patton with a relaxed slope to his shoulders, his steps almost languid. He all but collapsed on the fluffy cushion Patton gestured to, eyes gliding shut as the Ampen climbed up after him.

Roman took a few steps into the room, and the Human cracked one eye open-- not entirely out of it, then. The mild suspicion he was regarded with was almost reassuring.

Upon closer inspection, there were physical changes, too. The human had gone from pale, almost grey-toned to having a pinkish tint to his skin. The grey-brown still clung to the hooded garment he’d draped himself in, creating an even more jarring contrast. Dirt, then? It would certainly explain the smudges he left everywhere he touched much better than some strange Human Residue.

… He wasn’t crossing Human Residue off the list of possibilities, though.

Most striking of all was his head. He had originally stalked around with a matted mess of fur, glinting oily in the light where it wasn’t dull with dirt. Now, the fur was clean and stuck out in little fluffy tufts, creating a much less menacing look overall.

Patton apparently agreed, because he’d scampered up to one shoulder and immediately buried his tiny hands into that fluff. Roman and Logan both startled, exchanging an alarmed-exasperated-fearful look, one that had become exceedingly more common after Patton came home with his new Human cellmate.

Surprisingly, all Virgil did was go even more boneless on the cushion, turning his head to better meet Patton’s touch. Patton closed his eyes happily, apparently completely fine with petting one of the most feared creatures in the galaxy.

That wasn’t surprising at all, actually.

What was surprising was the Human’s apparent tolerance for it.

“I wasn’t aware Humans enjoyed tactile ministrations,” Logan said, tapping his wristplates curiously. “Is Virgil alright?”

The Human in question turned slightly to glance at them, eyes still half-lidded. It was probably the least threatening body language Roman had seen from him since… well, ever. “Mm?”

“You’re just relaxing, aren’t you kiddo?” Patton combed through that mess of fluff some more and Virgil lost what little tension he’d regained. “Virgil spent a lot of time on guard while we were on the run planetside. He deserves all the time in the world to recuperate… and all the head scritches!”

Roman’s tail swished exasperatedly, but even he really couldn’t come up with a reason to begrudge the Human for this, not when Patton was so clearly enjoying having someone else onboard to preen. Even if that someone was a Deathworlder.

He moved to settle onto his own cushion under the guise of supervising, though for once he thought the Human might actually fall asleep in front of him.

And if he was perhaps just slightly curious about what exactly a fluffy Human felt like? Well, that was nobody’s business but his own.

So this is sort of similar to the people writing fanfic about the lions but can you imagine the YouTube edits? Like the videos that are just "Cap having heart eyes for Loops for 10 minutes straight" or "Loops lovingly dragging Caps name through the mud for 3 minutes" like those kinds of things and I can just imagine them doing reaction videos and it just being funny and the world just loving coops

A link popped up just as Anna cut a segment from the sleep study video, where Loops’ heart eyes were in full effect. It was a rare, precious find for fan editors like herself.

“Come on,” she groaned. Maybe introducing Grace to the deepest parts of her hockey obsession was a mistake. But, really, what else was she supposed to do when she learned her cousin, who didn’t even live in Gryffindor, got to meet her favorite players just by chilling in a café? What kind of cosmic joke was that?

She narrowed her eyes at the embed of the link, then stifled a shriek. Impossible. How had she missed an upload?

As if on cue, her computer pinged with a new notification from the Lion Pride channel. “Oh, fuck me,” she muttered, scrambling to save her half-done video and pressing play.

The interviewer asked basic questions, ones she had heard the answers to a million times while curating her content. It always felt funny to hear people refer to Cap as ‘Sirius’—it was too official, too formal. She had spent countless hours on the compilations of his softer moments, and they were her most popular videos. Cap Having Heart Eyes for Loops for 10 Minutes Gay. Cap Being an Actual Puppy for Six and a Half Minutes. Everyone Wanting Cap Cuddles for Fifteen Minutes. Every Time Cap Smiles When Someone Mentions His Godson. The list was endless. She loved it.

She did a silent fist pump when she saw the interviewer had snagged both Cap and Loops; that would give her a whole new stream of workable content. If she was lucky, she could expand on her series of Loops Lovingly Roasting His Friends, part…fuck it, who was even counting anymore?

Anna was so caught up in her excitement that she nearly forgot about Grace’s suggestion. I’ve never skipped through a video on the first watch before, she thought hesitantly. But maybe just this once…

Her cursor hovered over the 2:45mark. She closed her eyes, and clicked it.

“—have you been adjusting to life as a celebrity?” the interviewer asked. Anna nearly rolled her eyes when Loops laughed. That question had been used far too often to be interesting anymore.

“It’s had its ups and downs,” Loops said with a smile. “Mostly, though, the fans have been incredible and just knocked my socks off with their support.”

“Really? What’s your favorite part of the Lions fanbase?”

He didn’t miss a beat. “Their creativity, for sure. There was a video a while back where we reacted to some of the comments people left, and this person on Twitter made an absolutely beautiful collage of photos.”

“I have it saved to my phone,” Sirius added.

One more clip for the simp video. Anna made a note on the small corner space of her European History notes. The degree can wait for ten more minutes.

“Do you have a favorite creator?”

The interviewer was clearly teasing, but Loops’ smile was genuine. “I don’t know about a favorite, but there’s this person on YouTube who makes a shit ton of videos and they’re hysterical. I saw one the other day about—god, what was it again?”

“Every time I smile when people mention Harry,” Sirius answered around a laugh. “Can you blame me?”

Anna didn’t hear the next question. A ringing noise filled her ears as she sat, frozen, on her shitty dorm mattress and listened to her literal heroes talk about her dorky little channel. “Holy fuck,” she blurted after a moment of silence. “Holy fuck.”

“—subscribed?” The man’s voice snapped her back to reality.

“Of course I am!” Loops said. “You think I’m passing up a chance to watch a compilation of my friends making stupid decisions for the entire internet to see?”

A noise that would have been a shriek if Anna had any breath left in her body escaped her lungs; she clamped a hand over her mouth and shakily exited from the video before going to her YouTube account. 800 new notifications. 700 new followers in the last quarter hour. She was pretty sure she blacked out for a second from sheer shock and joy.

Somehow, the thought was both exhilarating and horrifying. What if they thought she was a creep? She wasn’t, not really, just a bored college student with not enough free time for a job but too much to keep herself busy with schoolwork. Her 2,341—no, 3,052—followers were just other hockey nerds looking for time to kill.

And the subject of those videos was one of her subscribers.

Anna slipped her headphones back on and began to edit like it was her last day on earth. Her fingers flew across the keyboard on muscle memory while her brain fizzed. Perfect, she thought. It has to be perfect.

In four hours, it was done. She sat back, panting, then hunched over again and began tapping out a title card.

CuriousCat Question: “What are fame indicators? And can you give some examples?” click under the cut to fully read the post below...

Yes I can! Fame indicators in the birth chart are well, exactly what they sound like. People over the years have compiled a bunch of common things people have seen in famous peoples charts, and made them into indicators that if someone has this in their chart. Theres a potential for fame. Now there's different kinds of fame, like: Short term fame, or long term, or worldly fame, or just famous as in you're known around your city type of thing. 10th house stuff is more associated with worldly fame but we'll get to that in a bit. For now let's talk about the placements I've and other Astrologers have seen the most. (Also here's a post about me gushing about my knowledge of celebrities!)

1. Leo placements or planets in the Leo degrees (5°, 17°, 29°) - Leo's like fame, and they do well in famous positions. I've seen so many influencers or famous people who are Leo's (e.g. a lot of TikTokers are Leos I've noticed, and Dua Lipa is a Leo, Jennifer Lopez, Kylie Jenner, are also Leo's. And influencers as well, like David Dobrik, Dream, Corpse, Emma, who else.. I think Leafy is a Leo too. Honestly just look at this list: LINK ) Leo's love the attention that fame brings them, they are naturally entertaining and engaging and also love participating in creative projects, that's why you see so many Leo's as musicians or actors, or influencers because most of them like the creative process of it all! They love being in front of a camera. Having North Node in Leo could also be an indicator. The North Node in the chart is a point of our destiny, so if someone has north node in Leo, maybe they are destined to be well known, or famous. (e.g. Beyonce, Kim Kardashian, Chris Evans, Barack Obama, and even Dream have north node in Leo and they are VERY famous people) Also having a Leo Ascendant (rising sign) or Midheaven is also another indicator of fame (e.g. Marilyn Monroe, Emma Stone, Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, Drake etc. are all Leo risings. And Katy Perry, Lana Del Rey, Jim Carry, Dua Lipa, Melanie Martinez, and Doja Cat are examples of people who have a Leo Midheaven.) or having your ascendant or midheaven in those degrees (Leo). For example, Quackity has his Midheaven in the very powerful 29°. We'll touch up on this degree in a bit but I hope you can start to see the patterns here.

--- If you have planets in Leo degrees, it could indicate that you could handle being famous pretty well. The 5° could be associated with being famous at a young age, or short term fame. Tommy in his chart has his Venus and Uranus in the 5° and he most certainly got famous at a young age; as well as Ariana Grande, she has her Sun and Jupiter at 5° and has gotten famous from a young age. By the way the 5° doesn't always mean short term fame, as we see with the people I've mentioned, it's just a possibility, like Victoria Justice has a 5° from her Moon and she's really only peaked since her time on Nickelodeon, we don't see much of her in the news now.. the 17° and 29° indicates for easiness to get recognition, and massive amounts of fame, for example: Billie Eilish has her ascendant at the 17° and got recognized very quickly from her first song, "Ocean Eyes". The 29° is one of the most powerful degrees you can have, it can cause for very massive, and worldly fame. Like Drake has his ascendent at the 29° and he's well known everywhere! To be honest, I think it's quite rare to find someone with 29° in their charts, because I was looking through my lists of Celebrity birth charts and they barely have it. They'll have degrees close to it, like 25 - 28 but that's it. Interesting, I see a lot of people have the 17° one though!

2. Gemini Placements. So Gemini Placements aren't really FAME indicators, BUT! I've noticed that a lot, and I mean a lot... of influencers will have Gemini Placements. Gemini Placements are really good for like Social Media careers. For example: Emma Chamberlin is a Gemini, and has a lot of Gemini placements. Charli D'Amelio has her Venus and Mars in Gemini, I think Tommy is the same, he also has his Venus and Mars in Gemini. Tina even has her Mars and Venus in Gemini! So there's this pattern I've seen with Gemini and Gemini placements being associated with like Influencers, or people who are popular on Social Media usually have at least one Gemini placement, now that's obviously not always the case, but it's something to look out for.

3. The 28th degree. The 28th degree is a Cancer degree, this degree is usually represented by someone who is a household name. For example Kim Kardashian has like at least 3 or more planets or points in this degree, and she is 100% a household name.

4. Scorpio placements or Pluto placements. Having a lot of Scorpio placements makes someone very magnetizing, and mysterious, it makes people attracted to them. They exude this magnetizing and sexual energy. Same goes for Pluto aspects as well. If you have a lot of aspects to your Pluto, that could make you very intense, and powerful as well. So like having Pluto in the 10th house or conjuncting the MC is very much an indicator for a powerful person and someone who exudes power, and fame. Though it has the possibility of making someone very controversial. Dream has Pluto conjuncting his MC. Having Pluto square personal planets in your chart is also an indicator of this. Sun, Mercury, Mars, Venus, & Jupiter squaring Pluto amplifies the energy of Pluto and intensity and could make someone have immense amount of power.

5. Neptune and Uranus. So weirdly I see a lot of famous people usually have Uranus conjunct something in their chart (no not Neptune because that's a generational conjunction), or have a lot of Uranus aspects in tight orbs (0 - 6) the tighter the orb, the more intense the aspect is gonna be. Neptune because, Neptune is represented by things like film, and Hollywood, and glamor and projection, mystical and magical, even spiritual presence, if you have a lot of Neptune aspects or Neptune in the first house (or conjuncting the ASC), or having Neptune in the 10th house (or conjuncting the MC), it can make you very alluring, and other worldly. Like something people haven't seen before. Pisces risings as well have this effect because Neptune is the modern ruler of Pisces, and also if you have a Pisces Midheaven this could hold true for you too. It's the same with Uranus, like having it Conjunct the MC or ASC, or be in the 1st or 10th house is most certainly an indicator. It can make you STAND OUT, and be original and seen as different, which can make people interested in you. For example, Ariana Grande, has her Neptune AND Uranus exactly conjunct her ASC. As well as George having his Neptune in the 1st. It can really do well for beauty, but also fame, really both.

6. Having Libra placements or Libra degrees (7°, 19°) Having Libra in your chart is very beneficial, it helps you keep up with the trends and stuff like that! Libra’s are natural people pleasers, so whatever’s hot right now, they’ll wanna jump on it and please everyone. They also bring harmony to what they do, and bring various aesthetics to the table, which is pretty good for famous people. You sort of have to be on top of the trends, or at least be a trendsetter (but that’s more Uranus or Aquarius.) I remember George in the Banter podcast stating how if Minecraft slowly grows unpopular then he’ll move onto something else to keep up with the trends, which low-key was his Libra Venus talking hehehe. I made a connection when he said that.

7. The 11th and 22nd degree are very critical degrees for someone to have in the birth chart. 11th degree can represent getting fame at a younger age as well. Charli D’amelio has her Sun and North Node conjunct exactly at the 11th degree. She was sort of made to be famous… Tommy also has his North Node at the 11th degrees. These degrees are represented by Aquarius and Capricorn. The 22 degree is sometimes referred to people who are notorious. Or like known for doing something bad… NOW NOT EVERYONE! But I’ve seen some criminals have this degree and… uhm. ANYWAYS! :D ONCE AGAIN NOT EVERYONE WHO HAS THIS IS GONNA BE KNOWN FOR DOING SOMETHING BAD OR BECOMING EVIL IT IS JUST SOME BAD PEOPLE HAVE IT OKAY? YOU’RE NOT EVIL IF YOU HAVE THIS OR DOOMED 😭 BABY I PROMISE YOU

8. I've noticed a lot of Celebrities will have their planet in their home sign, in their charts. For example, Cancer is ruled by the Moon, so having the Moon in its home sign amplifies the house it's placed in. George has this, Dream, and even Quackity has this, and so many other celebrities have this as well. George has Moon in Cancer in the 7th house as well as having Venus in Libra in the 10th house, so the 10th and 7th house are gonna be amplified in his life. Dream has Sun in Leo in the 7th house (Leo is ruled by the Sun) as well as having Mars in Scorpio in the 10th House (Scorpio is ruled by Mars), and Quackity has Mars in Scorpio in the 11th house. Also Taylor Swift has Cancer Moon in the 7th house too... I find that interesting. Ariana Grande has her Venus in Taurus in the 5th house. Etc, etc…

9. Speaking of the houses, let's get onto looking at fame houses. So the 1st house, 5th house, 7th house, 10th house, and 11th house are really the MAIN indicators of this. Having planets or points in these house are very much indicators, so having like personal planets in these houses or your north node in these houses is an indicator. Now why these houses?

Well the 1st house is focusing on YOU and YOUR PERSONALITY, so if you have personal planets in there, then your life is very much focused on YOU. Katy Perry, has a stellium in the 1st house of Scorpio in her chart. As well as Quackity has a bunch of planets and points going on in his 1st house.

The 5th house represents our creativity, fun, procreation, entertainment, speculation, etc. It’s the Leo house so it makes sense… If you have personal planets in there, it makes a lot of sense you’d be entertaining and great with like show business and stuff like that. Very creative as well. Also great with children since this is also the house of children, so maybe children would look up to you if you had this. It really depends on the planet(s) that’s occupying the house though. Like if you had Saturn in there, you might not want children, or children might not want YOU. (/lh)

7th house represents other people, it is opposite to the 1st house. The 1st house is about YOU and 7th house is about OTHERS. That’s why things like marriage is found here, or one-on-one relationships, relationships with others basically, so maybe it could be even an audience of people. Great for business deals if you have 7th house placements or contracts, (you have to check the condition of the planet in the house though, if It is negatively aspected you might lose law cases, or have trouble with contracts or marriage.) like people can work well with others having 7th house placements. George, and Dream have 7th house placements, it’s no surprise they collaborate with other people a lot and still manage to work well with others!

10th House is represented by the career, it is quite literally the HOUSE of fame and your public image. So having planets here is a big indicator! George has his North Node AND Venus in the 10th house, he was low-key made to be famous in this life time. It also helps that his Venus is conjuncting his North Node, really amplifies the love he receives. :) people with 10th house placements really care about the work they’re doing, and it can also show—depending on the planet—how you are viewed in the public eye. E.G. if you have Moon in the 10th house, you can be seen as motherly, or emotional in the public, or if you had Mars in the 10th you can be seen as brash, and competitive! It all depends.

11th house indicates your audience, your networks, and your gains from the 10th house. Having personal planets here can show you having a ton of fans and public support, it maybe can show who your fans are, not always but it’s a sign. E.G. people with Moon in the 11th house might tend to attract more female fans, or the fans might see the person as motherly and caring to them. If you have Jupiter here, it’s VERY beneficial! Jupiter expands anywhere it touches, so having Jupiter in the house of your networks and fans, could expand that to an extreme amount, as well as having North Node, and Pluto here is another indicator of extremity. With Pluto it’s more intense and can be seen as a positive or negative. Dream has his Pluto in the 11th house and it explains why his fans are VERY intense and obsessed. Having more beneficial planets there the better! :) As it can also show you receiving a lot of money, because 11th house is the house of gains; whether that be gains from others, from your friends, or from your networks!

10. Let’s touch on a few honorable mention houses! Really any house can be a fame indicator but the first one’s I listed are some of the MAIN ones you see in famous people.

So the 2nd house is the house of Money, our possessions so having beneficial planets like Jupiter or North Node in there can make for someone who has a lot of wealth. Or is great at MAKING money. Because 11th house and 8th house are like money from others, while 2nd house is money YOU make for yourself.

Speaking of the 8th house, YES the 8th house is another indicator, specifically having like personal planets in there, especially Venus. Venus topics mention money in there, so having her in the houses of either making money (2nd house) or getting other peoples money (8th or 11th) is for sure definitely going to be a sign. Check the condition of Venus of course, because it could modify her performance with getting that said cash.

6th house is another “work” house. It’s the house of our daily work, our co-workers, etc. It’s not one of the best houses, and it get’s a lot of negativity, but it is in indicator of fame. Because having planets in there, could mean that being famous is apart of your daily routine. It really depends on the planets though and the aspects to it, there is an asteroid named, Fama. And it basically is like a fame asteroid (look up the number so you can find where it is in your chart) so having it in the 10th or 6th house could be an indicator of that. It’s a small indicator but it’s one nonetheless.

3rd House can make you really talented writer or singer, I’ve seen actually a lot of singers have some 3rd house placements which makes a lot of sense. The 9th house is the House of Good Luck, good fortune, traveling, other countries and diverse people. So if you have a lot of 9th house placements that could indicate you travel a lot, and most celebrities do travel quite a bit don’t they? Especially if you have your Sun there, because the Sun is like almost exalted in the 9th house. It really likes being in the 9th house so yeah! Could also just mean you have very good luck.

12th house, I’ve surprisingly seen a lot of celebs with 12th house placements. 12th house placements usually work behind the scenes. So could be great directors, or something like that. Not actually sure why a lot have planets in the 12th but it’s quite interesting to see.

11. Honorable mention: Really just something I’ve noticed.. Having 10th house ruler in the 5th house is a sign that you want a career that is fun and enjoyable. I see a lot of singers have this, Ariana Grande, Britney Spears, Billie Eilish; like I’ve watched interviews of them saying how much they love being on stage and performing and noticed they all had that in their charts which is something to take note of. Also 10th house ruler in 1st house, another indicator of like your personality being in the main thing in the public. I see that quite a bit with celebrities, or famous people.. there’s a lot of combinations, you’d need to look into it.

IMPORTANT! PLEASE READ!

hey, kevin here, i apologize that somethin' of this matter is being posted so late like this and so sudden. i won't be typing as i usually do as the accusations here are a serious matter and there won't be a need for my usual, light-hearted typing style.

it has come to my attention, though this information has been kept private for maybe a month, two? but has only just recently been brought to my attention by a good friend of mine. the claims were sent to him over instagram by my ex; kai or huhrizon. the photo will be attached below in which, kai, is laughing about the fact he believes he's found out that i am a minor. more specifically, fifteen. which couldn't be farther from the truth, this thread will be debunking and defending myself before he can come out and express these fabricated lies to try and ruin my reputation because he's upset that i wasn't ready for a relationship.

kai messaging mattia over the fact he believes he has uncovered 'my mother's facebook profile'. which will be debunked below.

very interesting that you decided to not only, try to uncover things about my identity after i politely explained to you that i no longer wanted to pursue a relationship, but that you're brewing up fake rumours just to try to get back at me for it.

onto the main claim. kai has been professing, that i, am infact a fifteen year old falsifying his age online. the reason he believes these claims are that, one, he found my mother's facebook profile. and two, that there was a photo on there of me, with the caption 'happy birthday kevin' posted onto the account. mattia has explained to me that this photo isn't here to be displayed as evidence, solely because kai sent the picture through instagram's vanish mode.

* this mode automatically deletes anything sent after the chat is closed.

mattia informed me that this photo was overall suspicious though as kai had blurred out the user's facebook handle. very odd indeed kai, very odd. i have no clue what this women looked like as there were no further photos, so until then, i don't know how i can debunk the woman not being my mother; appearance wise.

what reason do i have to believe this is motivated out of spite? before kai and i had become acquainted, i followed him through dylan, who had publicity posted about how his friend had created a dark blog. wanting to follow more creators who shared a similar interest, i followed him. immediately, kai had started sending asks about whether or not i was single. we had not talked nor even messages before, we had liked a few of each others posts and that was the max of our interactions. but i responded with a flirty remark, which i am now known for, but wasn't at the time. flirting was thrown back and fourth and after awhile i had realized i was no longer ready, mentally or emotionally for a relationship at that point in time. i still had full feelings for kai, yet kindly expressed my discomfort with a relationship. which he mutually accepted and that was that. i thought we were ended things on great terms, we both communicated and got our messages out of the way.

apparently this was not the case, as kai, without my knowledge goes to search for any sort of dirt he can find on me. which, i will be using a post by dylan to explain why i have reason to be swayed into the fact this was out of anger— i love dylan, and he's not included in these accusations whatsoever, but this post is important to view. do not drag him into this, please. i'm serious.

dylan admits to kai being able to ruin people's lives for fun. which is obviously, not a good look for him. he purposefully goes on the hunt for any information he can attach to someone. unluckily for him, he couldn't find anything worth exposing, so he restorts to making up lies about my age in an attempt to get some sort of revenge? as punishment for breaking his heart i presume. very, very mature after a breakup which i calmly and kindly let you know that i wasn't ready for anything further.

now, onto the rebuttal i have for his big accusation; me being a fifteen year old who's mother's social, kai sniffed up. my mother does not own any form of social media, she has an email which is technically not even a social app. ( this is used for her grad teachers, in order to contact her for reasons that will be explained ).

my mother hasn't had any social app for years, much less posts or takes photos of us to display whatsoever. my mother entered a relationship with a man, who at the time she didn't know was very, very anti-lgbtq.

* before anything else it's important to note that kai, believes i have a brother. i told him this in order to stray away any true information about me, as there are very few people i fully trust with the knowledge of my personal life. much less, someone who i just met at the time; i.e kai. kai had mentioned a friend of either his or his brothers being named 'hank' to try to also fit the lie of having a brother, i told him it was a funny coincidence that my brother had the same name. i do not have a brother, my sister and i are both trans— she being mtf, and i being ftm. she has given me explicit permission to disclose this, as i wouldn't ever dream of letting that information out without her word.

this leads into my main argument. my mother had been with this man for quite awhile, and had finally asked us for permission to give him the news, that we were both transgender and that he should know for the future of our family. he obviously, did not take this well. to keep details minimal for the safety of my family, i'll briefly explain some of the shit he's done to my mother. stalk, threaten, send unsolicited photos and dead animals to our home, try to get my mother to meet up - or find her location to meet up with her, and many, many more vile things. my family has been hiding, moving, and changing our identities ever since. my mother has wanted a healthy, safe environment for her children to grow up in without fear that their lives would be taken or in some way ruined by this man. we can't keep a house for more than a year before we're forced to go into hiding because of a message from him or some sick prank from somebody who knows about the situation. this is all i can say, as i don't want him to somehow get ahold of this post. which is also why i am withholding my families legal names as well as her ex's legal name just to be cautious. though it is never ever justified to lie to your partner, kai and i had barely talked and i felt pressured by the environment and excitement to rush headfirst into a relationship. causing me to hold back any truth to my personal life, excluding interests, stories, and stuff of that sort. which deserves an apology all on it's own.

now, where this fifteen, number came from. not a clue in hell, my sister, is sixteen but was fifteen at the time i was in a relationship with kai. i have no clue if this has anything to do with it, but he knew, as i told him i was celebrating her birthday through text. letting him know, the age she was and the age she was turning.

i live off the grid and always have. my legal name is not on here, my family or friends names, etc. my personality, all me, the stories or hobbies i have? true. my job? true. i express the true me on here while still holding back information that could cause my family into another year of hiding. my mother never has and never will have any socials. she barely uses her email out of fear, but has no choice as it's her only means of communication to her job.

another quick thing i would like to mention, to be truthful, as this is a post solely based on trust alone. as i have no physical evidence to back it up. i sent a photo to kai, letting him know it was taken when i was in middle school. i told him my mother put a filter over it, which is weird right? i just explained how my mother doesn't have socials, he's got to be lying, right? no, my teacher had taken the photo and she had edited on her photo to show our grandma, who she sent the image through phone messages. this was no lie, but it was a misdirection to try to get kai to believe my mother posted about me. i still didn't trust him and never fully did, so this was another. morally wrong, attempt to cover my true identity by lying to him about it. which, again, never right to lie to your partner. but i have a family to protect, it's hard to make friends and relationships online when you have to hide who you truly are your whole life. and i'm sorry that's been the case, though the information my mutuals privately know is all the truth. i've grown to trust a fair few, so thank you.

as a summary, these claims are total bullshit. i can provide more context or answers to any questions you may have, below, through dms, or through my inbox. this was once again posted before he could get his word out, as i wanted to make sure everyone knew what i had to say, in case he decided to 'expose' me while i was at work, or too busy to compile a rebuttal. thank you all for listening, you don't have to believe a word of this. as yes, my story does sound far-fetched but i have no way that i can verify it without putting my family in danger. which, i'd much rather lose my online status over a silly rumour than harm my family for another multitude of years. this is a rather short and rushed post though, as it's been bugging me for awhile and i just need to push it out.

A complete, very long list of all GBoard-combinable emojis because I can't find one anywhere.

Ok so for those who haven't seen my stuff (or have only seen my Bionicle posts), I sometimes emoji mashup redraws, with the recent fourth one using GBoard-based fusions. Frustratingly, there's no actual list of fusion-compatible emojis, so I'll attempt to compile them, in a list below the "Read More" thing:

Green/▢ = compatible with fusion Blue/△ = only works with certain emojis Red/◯ = not compatible with fusion

Also, since other people's terms for specific emojis might not match up with mine, I recommend using CTRL+F and then doing this to find the specific emoji you're looking for. This list is in the order presented in GBoard's Emoji menu. Some of them will be generic unicode symbols, I don't know how to change that, sorry for the inconvenience.
